“She’s awake.”
“You stay right here,” he said. “I’ll get her and bring her in bed with us.”
She went up on one elbow as he rose from the bed. “Are you going to tell her?”
“Tell her what?”
She smiled lazily. “That she has a brother coming down the pike?”
He gave her his lopsided grin. “How do you know it’s a boy?”
“I can feel it.”
He frowned skeptically. “How?”
She smiled as though the world was paradise and she its ruler. “Magic.”
He laughed and went to get their child. He agreed. Life was good. And Diana was magic.
