Prologue
Vampires are a myth, right? A story told to scare children - and the occasional adult - at night?
Well, not exactly.
Vampires are real, though they are not exactly what you think they are. Do they drink blood? Yes. Are they allergic to sunlight? Yes. Do they live forever? Well, no actually. But they do live for a very long time. But the reasons for these are not because they are the undead. They are, in fact, very much alive. They’re just not from this planet.
You see many centuries ago, the planet Chaetdor was destroyed and the survivors of that planet set out on a mission to find themselves a new home. Earth was never part of the plan. A primitive world with little technology and a sun that was harmful to the Chaetdorian body. When there was a fault with the ship they had no choice but to land on the foreign planet and hope that they could fix the problem quickly, so they could continue on their journey. That did not happen. The fault was worse than they had first thought and had caused them to crash during landing, seriously damaging their vessel. With the lack of technology on earth at that time, they were stuck. They hid their craft and adapted with their new world in order to survive.
There were just two problems. One, they were highly sensitive to the earth's sun, meaning that they could only venture out at night. And two, in order to maintain a humanoid appearance they needed to consume human blood. Stories of large, handsome, pale men with fangs soon spread, and the myth of the vampire was born.
But now, it is time for them to leave…
Chapter 1
There she was again, the most beautifully perfect female he and his brother’s imagination could come up with. Every night without fail, the moment they closed their eyes, she was there, willing and waiting to take them into her body, to let them love her the way they wanted, needed.
Taking her by the hand, Jepa led her over to the large bed in the centre of the darkened room. Turning her, her back to his chest, he pressed a kiss to her neck as he pushed the silk robe she wore from her shoulders.
“Are you watching her, brother?” he asked.
“Always,” came the growled reply of his twin.
Looking up, he met Hecto’s gaze. His brother had planted himself on the other side of the room, as far away as possible from them but where they remained in his sight at all times. There he would stay, watching until Jepa had brought her to climax and found his own release. Only then would he release the beast within.
Slipping his arms around her, one hand kneading her breast, the other heading south to the heaven hidden behind soft curls, he whispered, “Are you wet for me, my raven beauty?”
“Yes.”
Her gasp turned to a grown as he slowly slid a finger into her core. She was soaked, her pussy weeping for him.
Laying the naked beauty out on the bed before him, Jepa settled between her welcoming thighs. He would love to take his time, kiss every inch of her body and worship it for hours, but even in their dreams Hecto could only be pushed so far.
Still, he wasn’t going to rush this too much.
Watching his brother slowly and lovingly take the female was a sight Hecto cherished. She deserved to be loved, worshipped. Jepa was the gentle one, the one that could take a female with tender touches, could be loving and affectionate. Hecto? Not so much.
The moment the female cried out in release and his brother followed, Hecto was on the move. Jepa knew the drill; get out of the way, and fast.
Wrapping his fingers around her ankles, she gasped as he flipped her over onto her stomach. Covering her body with his, he asked, “Are you ready for me?” his words more of a growl than anything.
Head twisted to the side, eyes darkening with desire, she panted, “Always.”
In no time at all he had her on her hands and knees before him, her ass thrust up high in the air just begging for his hand. Leaning down, he bit the tender flesh, leaving his mark upon her pale skin. Guiding his steel hard shaft to her wet heat, he slammed into her, knowing that she could take it. No matter how hard, how rough he was, she would always take it, love it. She was made for them, a female they had dreamed up together, taken together. She was theirs.
As Hecto drilled into her again and again, harder and harder, losing all control, the long raven hair flowing down her back became too tempting for him to resist. Wrapping the long strands around his hand, Hecto yanked her head back at an awkward angle, forcing her gaze to meet his as he pumped into her from behind, driving his cock deeper with every thrust.
He was lost in the pleasure of her submission, lost in her warm heat wrapped around him. He would never get enough of her, never get enough of the pleasure she brought him when she willingly gave herself to him.
If only she was real.
Chapter 2
Closing the door behind her latest mistake, Hannah flipped the lock before pressing her forehead against it and letting the despair in.
Would the pain ever go away? Would the longing for something she had never experienced - other than in her dreams - ever become bearable? It didn't matter how many guys she dated, how many one-night stands she had, nothing could fill the void her dreams left behind.
It had all started four months ago when she had been sent away on a training course for work. She had arrived at the hotel a day early, wanting to make a bit of a holiday out of it as it had been ages since she had last been able to get away. It had been during that first night that she had encountered her first of many dreams of the pair. Maybe it had been because of the massive amount of handsome, extremely muscular guys that she had seen around the small village upon her arrival that had caused her to dream them up, she wasn’t sure. But for some reason, ever since she had stayed at the small B&B in the middle of nowhere, they had haunted her dreams.
Two dominant forces of masculinity, that while physically identical as far she could tell - their faces were always clouded in shadow – treated her in completely different ways. While one was soft and gentle with his touch, the other was hard and rough. She enjoyed them both. Erotic dreams were not unknown to her; they were quite the norm with her high sex drive. What was unknown was the shocking realism of the dreams and the nightly reoccurrence of them. Every night, every single fucking night, her twin dream lovers visited her, tormented her.
They weren’t real, were just fragments of her imagination, but she found herself longing for their touch, their control.
She had spent the past month doing her best to block them out of her day to day life, trying her best to find someone that could make her burn the way they did. But nothing. Everyone she slept with, everyone she gave herself to, fell short. No one could make her feel the way they did.
Sighing heavily, Hannah moved away from the door and gazed at the clock. She was due to meet her friends in a few hours to celebrate Katie getting rid of her latest, useless boyfriend. What it was
about her friends and their rubbish luck with men she had no idea.
And she wasn’t much better, not lately anyway. She had no problems finding willing, handsome men, they just did nothing for her.
She had been spoilt, ruined for all others... by a dream.
Chapter 3
Hecto looked back over his shoulder at Corr and his human mate as they escorted Sekon from the command deck and felt an ache deep in his heart. Corr was luckier than he knew.
Turning back, he focused on his captive. The male was no doubt suffering from madness, a state of the mind all Chaetdorian males faced if they did not find their mate. It was a fate his brother and he drew closer to each and every day.
Hell, if not for his mental connection to his twin, Jepa, he was in no doubt that he would already have succumbed to it. Even now he could hear the whispering suggestive voice in his head, urging him to track down the human females Torq had brought on board and take one for his own by any means necessary.
But he did not. He would not. At least not while he still had some form of control over himself.
Forcing his feet forward, Hecto continued on their route to the medibay where Sekon would undergo assessment before being caged away for... Well, for death. It was the only way to deal with the madness. There was no cure. However, there was now hope.
Or, at least, there was hope for the others.
For centuries, the Chaetdorians had been trapped upon the Earth, their ship damaged and unrepairable until human technology evolved enough for the components they needed to be available, and never had a Chaetdorian male found his mate among the humans until now. And while the news would be celebrated and welcomed by all, Hecto couldn’t help the jealousy raging within him.
“Do not threat, brother. There is hope now.”
“For the others? Yes. But not for us.” Because what female of any kind would want to take on not one but two mates?
“A very lucky one. Please, brother, do not give up hope. We will find her, I’m sure.”
Nevertheless, despite his brother’s words and attempts to hide his true feelings, Hecto still felt his sadness. No, there would be no mate in their future. He just hoped that the others would take him out before he did the unthinkable and hurt someone.
Jepa was really worried about his twin. He didn’t know how much longer Hecto could fight the madness that had been plaguing him for the past few months. If they had been like any normal Chaetdorian males he would not be so worried; not now that one of their kind had found his mate. But they weren’t like the others. They were brothers, twins, born of the same womb. The link between the two, the connection, was so powerful that they could never have separate mates. What one brother felt the other did too. Passion. Rage. Pain. They would have to share a mate, find a female that could take them both. It was the only way.
The only thing that seemed to affect them differently was the madness. When it had first started plaguing Hecto, Jepa had been completely unaware of it. It wasn’t until the whisperings had started passing through their mental link that he had become aware of his brother plight and demanded answers.
There had been a few times when Hecto had been near snapping, close to hurting someone, but he had managed to pull his brother back. The problem was it was getting harder to do so and Jepa worried that the next time they wouldn’t be so lucky.
How much longer could this continue? Already Hecto’s silence, his retreat from all but Jepa, was drawing attention. The once prankster of the Slayer tribe was now a recluse. He hadn’t spoken a word to anyone else in weeks.
Teks’ growl pulled Jepa back to the present and away from his own troubles, at least for now. His commander was not happy. They and the other Slayers had been sent to collect a group of human volunteers who were joining them on their escape from Earth. The ship was finally repaired and they had planned to leave ASAP but needed the humans for their blood.
Chaetdorians could ingest the blood of other species in order to camouflage themselves and many had been feeding on the humans since their arrival many moons ago. Recently, it had been discovered that to suddenly stop ingesting it after so long had dire consequences, so it had been decided that they would take some trusted humans that knew of their existence with them.
Everything had gone to plan with the pickup - except for one human going missing and their Chaer, the leader of their tribe, being seen by a bunch of human females and instead of dealing with them like he should have, he had them knocked out and brought back to the ship. It was safe to say that Teks was less than pleased.
“Stay with Sekon at all times,” Teks commanded when they arrived outside the medibay. “I do not want him left alone for even a second. The moment Doc is done with the assessment; I want him locked down. No visitation, not even family.”
Nodding, Jepa couldn’t help but ask, “What are you going to do about the females?”
Sighing heavily, Teks shook his head. “Honestly, I have no fucking clue.”
“We could always deal with them,” came the whispered words of his brother’s madness in his head, along with many images his near madness induced mind thought up. “I can think of many uses for them.”
A shiver running down his spine, sadness and concern twisting in his stomach, Jepa wondered if it was time to talk to someone about Hecto’s not-so-little problem.
Chapter 4
Hannah's night out had not ended exactly as she had expected. She kind of thought it would go the same way it had gone the last few times she had been out drinking with her friends. She would get ridiculously drunk, hook up with some unknown guy, and feel disgusted in herself the following morning. What had actually happened was something she could not have thought up even in her wildest dreams.
“Well, we all kind of got abducted."
"What?"
Hannah and her friends had woken up in some strange, white, glowing room around two days ago with no sign of a way out. They had kind of guessed that they had been abducted. There was no other conclusion could they come up with when the last thing they remembered was a bunch of well-muscled, tattooed aliens grabbing a hold of them before everything had gone black? But still, having Nora confirm it just brought the fact home.
Katie had been the first of them to wake up and had quickly woken the rest of them when she’d noticed that Nora was missing. They had been really worried about their friend’s disappearance. Hannah had been convinced that terrible things had become of her. Didn’t aliens usually dissect those they abducted in a way to learn more about the human race so that they could invade?
And then there was probing. Aliens loved probing.
Maybe I should lay off the alien horror movies for a while, she thought to herself.
"It's OK, though. It's a good thing," Nora said with a small smile.
"How could this be a good thing? They're going to probe us and experiment on us and god knows what else." Jessie said as if plucking the words straight out of Hannah's head.
"Maybe it is a good thing," Alice mumbled, her words near silent.
"You can't be serious?" Hannah gasped, shocked at her friend’s words.
"What do any of us really have to keep us here? Nothing that's what. Each of us have lost our families, our loved ones. All we have is each other. None of us are actually doing anything with our lives that we want to. Dead end jobs and abusive, useless men, that's what we have here. Maybe going with these..."
"Chaetdorians,” Nora filled in.
"Right. Maybe by going with them we'll find our place in the universe. Maybe even meet someone... nice."
That was it, Alice’s traumatic past had definitely affected her mind. The poor thing had been nearly beaten to death by her abusive ex-boyfriend a few months ago, and then held at knifepoint by Nora’s ass of an ex just before the aliens had appeared in the alley they had run down in order to escape him. No, she was definitely not thinking clearly.
"So where have you been?" Katie asked.
"Well..." Nora began befor
e a loud bang cut her off.
Jumping to her feet, Jessie asked, "What was that?”
"I don't know, but I'm going to find out." Looking at the panel that had appeared on the wall next to the door when Nora had turned up a few minutes before, Hannah asked, "How do I open this?"
"I don't know. Corr just seems to tap some kind of short code and he's through."
“Corr?” Katie asked with wide eyes and a cheeky knowing smile. From the sounds of it, Nora had the hots for one of their captors. Stockholm syndrome, obviously.
“Later.”
"Well, I guess I'll just have to wing it."
Rolling her shoulders, Hannah started tapping away at the panel. The loud noises continued to come from behind the door, growing louder and more aggressive every minute. She kept trying though, tapping in combination after combination, but nothing was working.
"Try this," Jessie said, stepping up beside her and beginning to type in patterns of her own.
"I don't think that's such a great idea," Alice cried out when the loudest bang yet came from just the other side of the door, making them all jump.
A moment later, a roar of rage filled the air, then silence descended. Hannah’s heart was pounding like mad within her chest, her hand paused above the panel as she waited, listening. What was going on out there?
Suddenly, Alice ran forwards, grabbing both her and Jessie by the arm and dragging them backwards, away from the door. For a fragile thing, she was well strong.
Just then, the doorway opened, revealing one majorly pissed off alien. As he entered the room, his unnatural eyes locked on Alice. "So fresh," came his whispered growl as he reached out for her. If his eyes hadn’t been scary enough, the fangs that protruded from his mouth certainly were. “Just perfect for me.”
Diving forward, Nora hit the male square in the chest, pushing him back a step, keeping him away from Alice but putting herself in serious danger.
