Inspector Wong opened the door of her car and out of habit she looked at the beach. Her eyes grew warm when she saw two familiar figures stroll across the sand, their arms wrapped around each other’s waists.
Sam tilted her head and leaned in to kiss the woman next to her. Inspector Wong averted her eyes when she saw the intensity of the embrace deepen. She smiled and got into her car. When she pulled out she saw The Reef in all its glory, with the Pacific in the background and two very happy people slowly continuing their walk.
