Heaven's Hell

  “G, what is this?”

“It’s an account for you, Heaven. Just a little dough to hold you over while you’re at school, a little cushion, you know…before you start making the major paper,” G joked. Heaven looked at the card attached and the words and, “oh my god G, two hundred thousand dollars!”

“It’s just a gift Heaven, but you can’t use it until your birthday.” G didn’t want to make a big deal about it. He wanted to give more but figured that was more than enough to cover her food, rent, if she wanted a car, basic needs. He knew Heaven didn’t have parents and regardless of their circumstances, he didn’t want her to want for anything.

Heaven didn’t know what to say, she was grateful that even though they weren’t together anymore, he still cared about her.

“Thank you so much G, I don’t even know what to say.”

G turned to her and looked at her angelic face framed with curls.

  “Don’t say anything, baby girl.”

He leaned over and kissed her deeply in the mouth and all of the liquid in her body seemed to pour right out of Heaven, she was instantly soaking wet. She couldn’t help but moan as his hands traveled along her curves and then swiftly under her dress, pulling at her panties.

“Oh G, I missed you,” Heaven panted as he tongued her neck.

“I missed the shit out of you baby girl, come here.”

G reclined his driver seat as Heaven raised her dress up to her waist and straddled him. They kissed passionately as they tore into each other.

Gearshift on her legs, steering wheel on her back, but all Heaven could feel was his strong body through his clothes. G pulled her dress down from the top and exposed her perky breasts, taking them one by one into his moist mouth. Heaven whimpered out of sheer pleasure as she grinded against his jeans.

  “Put it in me G.”

G reached into the compartment between the seats and pulled out a condom, all the while still kissing Heaven. After he slid it onto his dick, she slid down onto him, moving her slippery center up and down as he palmed her ass and guided her.

“Oh god, yes,” she moaned, knowing that this is what she had been wanting, needing, craving.

G groaned as she worked herself all over him, he couldn’t take it much longer and could feel a release building up. He was happy when she came first.

The car, the fogged windows, and of course him, made Heaven cry out in an explosive orgasm with G not too far behind. As their intense sex came to an end, the discomfort of their positions began to kick in and they awkwardly moved around each other to fix it. Heaven climbed back into the passenger seat and G discarded the condom and wiped off with some Burger King napkins. As he buckled his pants, he felt good and bad at the same time, but he was about to feel worse.

“Baby, I’m so glad that I have you back. I’m so sorry about that Angie thing G, it…it didn’t mean anything. I wont ever do-” Heaven’s words were cut off by the ringing of G’s phone on the dashboard. It wasn’t just the ring but it was what she saw when she picked the phone up that made Heaven sick.

“Sonia? Why is she calling you G?”

He took the phone from her but didn’t answer, as it rang until the end. Heaven looked down at the car carpet and felt tears in her eyes. After a couple of seconds it started to ring again, and this time he answered.

“Hey look, I’m busy right now.”

“What?” Heaven could hear her squeaky voice through the phone. “G, you been gone all day. You told me you were coming right back…I cooked dinner!”

He didn’t answer he just reiterated, “I’m in the middle of something, I’ll call you back.” And with that, he hung up.

  ‘Are you with Sonia now?”

“No,” he answered quickly. “She’s just a friend, Heaven.”

  Heaven chuckled sarcastically.

“Just a friend, G? And what about us…what happens with us?”

G took a deep breath, not knowing what to say. He missed Heaven and he cared deeply for her, but he knew that she was better off without him. Just in the short time that she had been gone, she had progressed so much. Still, he had planned to come to the graduation and give her the gift, but when he seen her, he couldn’t deny his feelings for her.

“Baby girl, there cant be an us right now.” His words crushed her. “I’m always gonna be here for you, but I told you before, I think we moved too fast. You need to go to school Heaven, and do everything you planned to do. My life aint for you.”

Heaven looked at G and for the first time, she felt resentment. Her anger tided as she thought of the emotions he took her through and him being with Sonia.

“What? Moving too fast? Well were we moving too fast when you were just fucking me five minutes ago?” Heaven slid on her shoes and grabbed her purse, wiping her tears with her hand. She turned to face him with a look of wrath. “You know what, fuck you G! I don’t know what type of games you’re playing, but I am not playing them anymore! You threw me out…” Heaven choked up and had to pause before she continued. “You threw me out, like trash, and then when I had nowhere to go, you didn’t even come and get me. And now, when I’m doing okay, and you see me happy, you wanna come over here, with your sweet talk and throwing money at me, and then fuck me in your car! And then say, oh we moved too fast…well watch how fast I move!” Heaven bolted out of the car and made her way down the street with G right on her ass.

  “Heaven! Heaven get over here!”

“Fuck you G!” She shouted as she kept walking. She reached Shay’s house and fumbled with her keys but he was right up on her, leaning against the door.

“Heaven, I didn’t mean it like that ma. You gotta understand where I’m coming from, I’m trying to do what’s best for you.” She had no idea how hard the best was for him.

“What’s best for me? What’s best for me!” Shay opened the door and stared at the two of them wondering what was going on as Heaven turned to G with red swollen eyes. “I’ll tell you what G, how about you just stop worrying about what’s best for me from now on, cause you’re best is the worst!”

The two had a stare down, Heaven’s intense and cold and G’s with remorse and tenderness. He grabbed her softly by the back of her head and brought his mouth to her ear. The world stopped as she anticipated what he would say.

“It’s alright baby girl. Everything is going to be all right.” Heaven couldn’t believe it. It’s all right. Is that all he could say? And with that he kissed her softly on the cheek and gave her a wink and one final long stare. Then he made his way down the stairs and to his car, never looking back.

Heaven broke down as he got further and further away. All she wanted was to go with him, to be with him. No matter how much she wanted to, she still couldn’t hate him. Shay wrapped her arms around Heaven and brought her inside as Heaven cried and cried and cried.

…Ariel and the Evil Sea Bitch…

Just like before, time had slowly began to heal the wounds of Heaven’s heart. She still thought of G, and her knowing that he cared about her gave her a little more comfort than the first time he had hurt her. But he had broken her heart twice now, and she was ready to move on, or at least try to.

The more she thought of the things he had said, playing them over and over in her mind, the more she realized that there may be truth to them. Maybe he really did want to do what was best for her, but either way, he didn’t have to play the back and forth game with her. Heaven felt he was wrong for getting her hopes up that night in the car.

Still, that was almost two months ago, and since then Heaven had focused on getting everything ready for her trip to Harvard and building her relationship with Ricky. Her eighteenth birthday had come and gone with a small celebration with Shay and Ricky, but nothing major. Eighteen didn’t mean shit for Heaven, she felt like she’d been an adult long before that day. As she made her way down the stairs of Shay’s house one August night on her way to a movie with Ricky, she noticed Shay looking glum sitting on the living room couc
h.

“Hey Shay, I’m going to catch a movie with Ricky and maybe a bite to eat, you want me to bring you back something?”

Shay was silent and then looked up at Heaven as if seeing her for the first time.

  “Oh no, Heaven…I’m okay.”

Heaven got ready to leave but couldn’t bring herself to do so. Ricky was waiting outside but he would have to wait a little longer.

  “Shay, are you sure?”

Shay looked up sadly and chuckled lightly.

“This mothafucka Loc bouncing around with that bitch Angie now. Can you believe it? Out of all the bitches he could fuck, he had to fuck her.”

Heaven felt Shay’s pain because she knew her and Loc were getting kind of serious. Heaven thought of Angie and all of the trouble that she seemed to cause, Heaven had long come to the realization that Angie was probably just trying to get her and G broken up when she pulled that kissing stunt that day. She was also convinced that Angie was just trying to turn Heaven against Shay with her lesbian tales. Shay had shown Heaven nothing of the such.

“Shay, I’m so sorry. Do you want me to stay with you? I can tell Ricky we’ll just go tomorrow.”

“No, no go Heaven. It aint even that serious.” Shay tried to laugh it off. Heaven went to her and gave her a big bear hug and a kiss on the head.

“I’m gonna bring you back a really good dessert mamabear, something chocolate.” They shared a giggle and Heaven reluctantly made her way out of the door.

Shay sat thinking of how stupid she had been for Loc. All of these months playing him close and he was always pushing her to the background. Heaven had been right that day at the track when she said Loc probably wouldn’t splurge on her the way G did on Heaven, he sure the fuck didn’t. Why couldn’t he be more like his cousin? She thought. Even though G had done some crazy stuff to Heaven, he never disrespected her, and he would never purposely hurt her, and Shay envied that. The doorbell ringing shook Shay out of her thoughts.

“Who is it?” Shay yelled, making her way to the door.

“It’s me,” a deep voice based.

She looked through the peephole and opened her mouth in shock, do I think people up?

She jarred the door open and looked at G standing there, looking dapper as ever.

“What’s up Shay, is Heaven here?”

Shay paused for a minute but then spoke.

“Um, no, she uh, stepped out for a while.” G could tell her voice was cracked and she had been crying.

  “You aight?” He asked her.

Shay shook her head no as the tears that she had been trying to hold back came pouring out. G looked at her worried and at first didn’t know how to react; he had never seen Shay cry before. Instinct made him grab her and hug her, as he stepped inside and closed the door behind them.

“Hey, what’s up? Don’t cry Shay, come on, don’t cry.”

G hated to see women cry, it was his weakness.

She breathed a hard sigh and stood up straight, making her way into the living room.

“Ugh! Lord knows I do not want to be crying over your tired ass cousin. But I can’t help it.” Her voice cracked on the last statement.

G made his way into the living room with her, hanging his head down. He had heard about Loc and Angie and couldn’t understand what the hell was going on. As far as he always thought, Loc couldn’t stand the girl, and well Angie, he knew she was just looking for a come up. G wondered if the girl had kryptonite or something, first Heaven and then Loc. He had never been sprung out over her, it was average to him.

“Yeah, well. Don’t even worry about it Shay. You know that shit don’t mean nothing. It’ll be over before it started.”

Shay looked at G standing there with sympathy in his eyes and hugged him. She needed a friend at that moment. Then a thought entered her head. She took a step back and looked at him.

“Wait, what are you doing here?”

G smirked and stared back at her.

  “I don’t know.”

“You don’t know?” Shay asked skeptically.

“Yeah,” G answered. “I mean, I know we talked about it, you know, what was best for Hev. And I did start to see your point of view when I saw the things she was doing. And I’ve been trying to take your advice, you know, letting her be happy with old boy and go on to school and just checking up on her through you, giving you the money and shit to give her, all that shit. But it’s not enough Shay, I want her home, I want her with me.”

Shay’s heart raced and she felt light-headed. For some reason she was green with envy and didn’t know why. Was it that she knew G wasn’t good for Heaven, that he blinded her and misled her from her goals, or was it something else?

“But wait G, we talked about this. I told you that I talked to that girl, spent many nights up with her crying and shit, she was a mess. It was like a withdrawal getting her off of you and that lifestyle. And I told you she was happy now, she’s over you, she was in love with Ricky, she even said she wanted to marry him!” Shay lied.

“I do everything you say, so you need to do what you promised. You are supposed to stay away from her, let her get over you... I give her the money you ask me to every month, I do my part.” Shay lied again.

Heaven had been thinking Shay had taken her in and cared for her on her own, but in reality, Shay’s bills and rent were paid in full and fridge was stocked for her taking Heaven. G even had been sending spending money that Shay pocketed while Heaven worked as a waitress. Shay felt like it was her fee; she was sharing her space with another grown ass woman. Plus, she felt that by Heaven working, it built her integrity, made her less dependant on G and his lifestyle that she felt Heaven needed to be cleansed of.

G looked down and heard Shay, and knew she was right, but he couldn’t help it. He was in love with Heaven.

“I know Shay. I know, but-”

Shay came close to G and grabbed his chin softly with her hand.

“G, please. I care about that girl. And if you care about her, you wouldn’t do this to her…let her go.”

G looked at Shay long and hard.

“I just want to talk to her Shay.”

Shay felt like she was losing a battle so she backed down, for now. Maybe they really were in love, meant to be together. But it hurt her that if she couldn’t find true love at her age, let alone with a man like G, that Heaven’s young ass could. Heaven needed to experience life.

“Alright, you can talk to her. You can wait here for her if you want…you want a drink?” Shay walked over to her liquor cabinet and pulled out a bottle of Hennessey and two glasses. She poured them and walked back over to G. “Come on, have a drink or five with me on behalf of your punk ass cousin.”

They shared a laugh as G unenthusiastically took the glass, and they both downed the drinks in one shot. Shay wasted no time refilling them as they both made their way to the couch. They downed round two, and Shay was filling them up again.

“Damn, you just proceeding to get fucked up tonight, huh?” G clowned, taking the third shot to the head.

“Might as well,” Shay answered nonchalantly, looking sad all over again.

G looked at her and felt bad for the way Loc had done her, and since he was waiting on Heaven, he figured the least he could do was drink with the girl.

“Fuck it.” And then he took drink number four.

“Damn so you just gonna use me for dinner and a movie and skip out, huh?” Ricky asked playfully, pulling up to Shay’s house.

“Don’t be mad. I told you, Shay’s depressed and I really want to get this into her before it melts.” Heaven had brought Shay back a chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream.

“I know, I know,” Ricky countered. “Call me later?”

“Will do,” Heaven promised, kissing him sweetly on the lips.

She made her way out of the car and to the steps and waved at Ricky as he pulled off. Mothafucka sure don’t wait for me to get inside, I gotta talk to him about that. Must be a gro
wn man thing.

She took out her keys but then noticed the door wasn’t closed completely. She wondered if that was her doing because she had done so on several occasions. Damn.

Heaven pushed the door open, and made her way to the living room, ready to split the decadent dessert with Shay. She noticed the lights were off but the TV was on and she saw Shay sitting up on the couch.

“Shayyyy, look what I brought you. Chocolate lava cake and-”

Heaven’s thoughts and words were suspended by what she saw. Her heart literally took a trip somewhere else.

It wasn’t Shay, but G who was sitting up on the couch, barely moving, head laid back, and Shay who had her head in his lap, sucking and slurping wildly all over his love tool. Shay didn’t need the lava cake, she had her own chocolate, Heaven’s chocolate. The worst part was that she didn’t even stop, well not until the Styrofoam container of dessert impacted with her head.

“You fucking… snake ass bitch!” Heaven screamed.

Shay stopped instantly and looked up at Heaven. Oh no, when did she come in?

Shay felt sick, as she wiped her mouth with her hand, stood up holding onto the couch, and tried to come near Heaven. G was fucked up, so all of his movements were in slow motion and it took him a minute to comprehend what was going on. He looked down at his dick hanging out of his pants, Heaven, Shay, Heaven crying, Shay pleading. Oh fuck, this aint good.

“Heaven please, I’m sorry.” Shay begged, feeling fucked up and still tasting G on her tongue.

Heaven would have thought she were dead if she didn’t feel her body trembling. She saw the empty bottles of liquor and could tell they were both drunk but didn’t care, it was the ultimate betrayal. So many thoughts were running through her head and as Shay made her way to her, with whipped cream and chocolate cake on her face, all Heaven could do was think of how these were the two only people she ever loved.
