Dominic's Star

“I am… I… shit Renard. I thought being in you was the beat all end all, but damn, you in me… fuck… baby.” Dominic pulled him down for another kiss, forcing his tongue deep inside his mouth.
“Then do it. We got all night, all day tomorrow and the next. No use holding on when we don’t have to.” Renard managed through hampered breaths. His skin tingled, heat surrounded his head making him dizzy and sweaty all at once. He took Dominic’s hands into his, pinning them into bed as he quickened the pace of his thrusts. Renard roared, then crushed their mouths together, feeling his climax imploding near his groin.
“Renard! Yes, there, oh fuck!” Dominic yelled at the top of his lungs while he trembled against Renard. “Fill me, Renard. I want you cum inside me.”
“Wish granted, love.” Renard whispered without hesitation, feeling himself losing his control. Pressure build at the base of his cock, making him ache and shiver. As much as he wished to keep this going, being inside Dominic was too good to keep from coming. “You want my knot too?”
“Of course. I need that more than anything. You claiming me, binding us together is what I’ve waited for.”
Renard sucked Dominic’s lips into his and withdrew a little before slamming inside Dominic again. At that last thrust, Renard lost focus, only poised to make his lover lose it along with him. He gritted his teeth, spilling his release inside of Dominic. Hs cock thickened in his ass, holding them together while they continued sharing a kiss.
“Oh Renard.” Dominic jerked underneath Renard, spurting his seed over Renard’s chest as well as his own. “Goddess, I love you. I’m so glad we’re back together.”
“Love you too. And by the way, you never have to worry about me not saying the words again.”
Chapter Twenty
Dominic
More time passed.
The baby’s birth made Dominic anxious, but even moreso about Renard’s condition. Seemingly, his loveable stoneface was getting bigger, changing colors every night, and even turning into stone for several minutes before going back. He couldn’t say how many times he’d woken up to a solid rock at his side, which scared the shit out of him. Either way, he would be telling Renard he’d gladly take over motherly duties to avoid it from happening again.
Other than that, everything between them was going wonderfully.
After talking with his new friend Whimpsy, Dominic agreed to work the beginning of the day in planet security detail, while also using some of his tech savvy to program the robot cops. He was even working on something similar to the STAT that the Gocarians used, hoping to patent the machine and sell it to make enough money for his family.
Renard didn’t like it, but Dominic said under no circumstances would his pregnant partner be working while carrying their child. After all, he was the claimer in their relationship, so regardless if Renard was the captain, Dominic took the lead.
“Sweetheart?” Dominic opened the door to their suite, then closed it behind him. Smells of grilled fish wafted under his nostrils, making his mouth water. And since he’d skipped lunch, he was hungry enough to eat everything in sight.
“Hey love.” Renard strolled in, holding his stomach which was now approximately three times its normal size. He choice to wear larger shirts and shorts with no buttons or zippers to stay comfortable. More than that, the least amount of clothing kept him cool.
“Hey.” Dominic kissed his lips and clasped both of Renard’s hands into his. “How was your day?”
“Not bad. The baby is kicking and making me nauseous. I’m made of rock, but yet this little bugger is getting the best of me with one swift kick to the midsection.”
“That’s my boy.” Dominic smiled smug.
Renard squeezed his hands. “Or it could be a girl. Remember, we haven’t revealed the gender yet.”
“True. Or it could be neither.” Dominic pressed a light kiss to his head, then let go one of Renard’s hands to rub his middle. “Whatever comes out, I’m excited to see the baby. How much time is left again?”
“Thankfully only a month. I don’t know how much more of this I can take.” Renard grabbed his stomach.
“I suppose she, he, or they are ready too.” Dominic laughed. “Let’s have a seat. I’ve been dealing with Whimpsy all day and I need a drink.”
Renard chuckled. “Oh, I’m sure you do. I love my friend, but he can be a handful.” They fell back on the sofa together, hands still clasped. By the time they sat, the table in front of them changed into a mini wet bar. Dominic reached for the drink and held it up in toast. “Here’s to the Poppa of my firstborn. I’ll be glad when you can drink again, babe.”
Renard shrugged. “Meh, I don’t miss it as much. The doctor said it wouldn’t affect the baby, but I don’t want to take any chances with our newborn.”
“Agreed. So, um…” Dominic leaned back, then sipped from his glass again. “I… uh…”
“No.” Renard snarled and folded his arms. “He said we aren’t family anymore so…”
Dominic harrumphed, forgetting his man could read his mind. If he ever did have a surprise, there was no way he’d get it past him. He finished his drink then sat down the glass. “I know what the bastard said, but he’s still your father.”
“He’s a sperm donor. My father is dead.” Renard snarled.
“Kirk is your dad, too. You don’t think it’s important the man gets to know his grandchild?”
“He’s not interested in it, why should I be?”
“Again, he’s your father. C’mon Renard. This is our first child, his first grandchild. Us and Kirk are all this baby has.”
“Not true. He has us, Whimpsy, Jared, and a host of others who still like and respect me. Plus, our new friends here on Megiddo. I don’t need that asshole to be part of this baby’s let when he disowned me!”
Dominic understood his lover’s unhappiness, but he couldn’t help but think what he’d missed out on when he lost his own father. “Renard. Remember what happened to my dad?”
“Yes. And baby… I’m sorry, but this is a totally different situation.”
“Not really. I…” Dominic looked down a moment, then back at his lover. “I’ve always held my father’s betrayal of the Messoli against him, but now that I see the Gocarians for what there really are, I don’t anymore. You know why?”
“Why?”
“Because nothing is as important as a father’s love. That’s why. He did what he thought was best at the time. And turns it was because the Gocarians as assholes. But more than that, I realized how much I missed having my dad to tell me things, to show me the way. Regardless of what differences you and your dad have, you should try patching them up now before it’s too late.”
Renard sighed and dropped his arms. “Aw, baby bear. I do see what you mean, but remember, he disowned me.”
“So, he did, but I know it’s because he’s hurt. I really think you should try one more time to make things better between you. If he acts like an ass, then at least you tried, but please, don’t waste this opportunity to talk with him once again. If you’re not doing it for yourself, do it for our kid. He, she, or they have an opportunity to meet their grandparent. Don’t spoil that for them.”
Renard sighed and took Dominic’s hand into his, kissing the back of it. “You’re right. I should at least try just for the little one. I suppose I’ll give him a call and see if he’ll meet me in one of the conference rooms here since I can’t travel to Damascus.”
Dominic grinned. “That would be great.” He rubbed the back of his neck.
Renard lifted his arm to his mouth. “General Kirk. I’d like to request a meeting with you here in conference room ten please.”
Silence.
Dominic bit his bottom lip. He hoped this jerk would answer so they could talk.
Just as he thought Renard’s dad wouldn’t answer, a beep sounded through the small speaker. “General Kirk here. I’ll accept your appointment, as long as the Gocarian keeps his distance.”
Renard frowned. “Damn you, Ki…”
Dominic grasped his bicep and shook his head. “I won’t be there. This is between you and Renard.”
Renard frowned at Dominic. “Why did you do that?”
“Good. Maybe I can talk some sense into you, Renard. I’ve got suitors ready for you. Once you have that disgrace and drop the loser, we’ll be a family again.”
“Fuck y—”
Dominic griped Renard’s muscle again to interrupt. He shook his head. “With all respect, General Kirk, this is my idea at an attempt to patch up things between you and your son for the sake of our child.”
“Whatever. I’ll be there within the hour! General Kirk out!”
The light on the communicator went off.
“You see why I don’t wanna talk to him? He’s an ass and…”
“I get it, but again, for the baby, just try. Alright?” Dominic pinned Renard with his gaze.
“Yeah. For you and him, but I’m telling Whimpsy to have robot guards on alert. Like you didn’t trust Bratzo, I don’t trust him.”
“I get it. I’ll actually deploy two robots for your safety to be in the room with you. Just… just know that I love you more for doing this.”
Renard sighed and patted his leg. “And I love you. Nothing will ever change that either.” He leaned in and kissed him. “Let me go grab something to wear. I can’t show up in front of him like this. I’ll never hear the end of it.”
Dominic grinned and watched his man leave the room for their dormitory. Although he was concerned that Renard’s father would attempt to force Renard to go back with him, he was more worried that his dad would keep up this ridiculous front to stay mad at Renard.
Regardless, Dominic as glad he’d talked Renard into patching things up with only known parent.
Dominic never got that chance and refused to see Renard give up on the single true original family member he had left.
Renard
Renard strolled onto the conference room with two robot cops marching in after him. With his belly protruding over the one pair of slacks that he had to leave unbuttoned, he wouldn’t put his bay in danger to prove a point.
Renard pointed to the left for them to stand near the door. They’d been instructed and to keep quiet, but only to act on his command.
General Kirk turned around from the window and smirked. He folded his arms. “Why call this meeting of you don’t trust me?”
“I’m doing this for my baby and for Dominic. He urged me to try patching things up, so here I am.”
“And still, you need the robos to do that?”
“Don’t be coy, Kirk. Just like when you welcomed me with the battalion the other day, I know not to believe you’d come alone. You have anyone make one move towards me, the robos will attack.”
“Ah… that’s what it’s come to, hmm? You and me squaring off as enemies?”
“You disowned me!” Renard snarled.
“Because you’re not doing what I say! I never would’ve wanted you to mate with a Gocarian and you know it.”
“Doesn’t matter what you want! See, that’s what you don’t get. I’m a grown man, capable of living my life and making my own decisions. As long as I’m happy and healthy, that’s all that should matter to you.”
“Well, I can’t be satisfied with that. I raised you to be more and I expect more.”
“More what? More medals?”
“Yes! I wanted you to grow in G-Force and take over for me someday, maybe even aspire to take Wyatt’s position.”
“I don’t want it! I never did. I told you I’d gotten tired of the shit with G-Force, but you wouldn’t listen, so I did what I wanted to get out. I’m happier than I’ve ever been, living my life as a regular civilian. I’m about to have a kid with the man I love. It’s all I want!”
“We didn’t raise you like that!” He snapped.
“Doesn’t matter! Parents need to realize that their kids need to be their own people.” Renard dropped his head, then looked back up at him. “Look, I’m not going to get overly upset anymore. I did this for my baby and Dominic. If you won’t accept my relationship with him or our baby, that is your problem!” He turned on his heel.
“Wait!” General Kirk called out.
Renard sighed aloud but didn’t answer.
“Renard… I… fine. As much as I hate it, I’ll do it for the baby….and for you.”
Renard couldn’t believe his ears. He turned to face his father. “Really?”
The general twisted his lips and shrugged. “You’re my only child.” He forced his hands into his pockets. “I can’t stay mad at you forever, not matter what I said and… it seems the Gocarian has had a positive effect on you. Wyatt would be proud of that.”
Renard nibbled on his bottom lip and sniffed. “He has, General. He’s made me see there’s so much more to life than work. Made me understand how important being mated is. He’s not like the others. He truly loves me and wants to raise this baby with me.”
General Kirk smiled. “Good. Then I suppose he… he’ll be welcome to the family.”
Renard nodded and wiped the tears from his eyes. Damn hormones were getting in the way. “Great. I’ll tell him. Um…” Renard rubbed the back of his neck. “Mind if I ask you something?”
“And that is?”
“What happened to Poppa?”
General Kirk smiled calmly. “He died a hero, son. As he wanted to.”
“But how? You’ve never been upfront with what happened to him.”
“I’ve told you everything I knew. He died in an epic space battle with the Gocarians, which is part of the reason why I still hate them. But… I won’t hold that against Dominic. It happened before his time, so he isn’t responsible.”
Renard knew that, but he couldn’t help the niggling feeling of annoyance in his gut. If only he had a way to get back at the Gocarians for what they’d done to his Poppa and to Dominic…unless.
Renard rubbed his chin. “Um, you might wanna check on Hunarth to make sure they’re okay.”
Renard’s father made a face. “Why is that?”
“They might be under attack from the Gocarians soon.”
General Kirk cocked an eyebrow. “And you know this because…”
“Just a hunch… sir.” Renard wanted to give the reason, but he wouldn’t thrown his lover under the bus to do it.
“I suppose this has something to do with Dominic, but since he is your mate, I won’t hold that against him.” General Kirk clicked his heels and started to leave the room.
Renard smiled wryly and spun around to face him. “Hey Dad?”
“Yes?”
“I love you.” Renard said without hesitation.
General Kirk returned the grin. “Keep me abreast of the child’s health and appearance, will you? And give you lover my regards.” He saluted Renard and exited.
Renard sighed aloud, then fell into the chair in front of him. “Wyatt? I hope he didn’t treat you like that.” He spoke into the air.
A beep sounded on his communicator, saying he had a message from General Kirk.
“I love you too.”
Renard half chuckled, knowing he’d finally gotten through the captain’s stony exterior.
With their father son relationship intact, Renard hoped this would mean he’d treat his lover as an equal and become a role model for his grandchild.
Chapter Twenty-One
Renard
The ninety days were finally up, but the baby wasn’t ready. The doctors had checked Renard many times, assuring him everything was fine, but for some reason the little miscreant didn’t want to come out. Renard loved the little bugger, but wished he’d appear so he’d finally be comfortable.
Gargoyles carried children for three months before birthing the child. Since both males and females were equipped, their birthing woes were similar. Renard had spoken to many of them who’d told them a lot of their children were on their own timetable as well. Hopefully his would co
me out sooner or later to afford Renard a good night’s sleep.
The maternity ward was stale but clean. It’s solid white walls and linoleum floors weren’t eye catching, but at least Renard’s room had a window above the bed as well as a panoramic one on the other side of his bed. He couldn’t have been more grateful for the view of the universe, something he’d kind of missed. Although he wasn’t a G-Force captain anymore, he’d love to go on another space exploration once the baby was born.
At Renard’s request, vanilla and strawberry candles were placed near the window, to mask the sterile smell of cleaner in the ward. He said it relaxed him, and thankfully the doctor was more than wiling to compromise. Renard was sure it would do the same for his mate as well. Dominic had already freaked out plenty of times, watching Renard shift in front of his eyes.
“Well, no sign of them yet.” Doctor Erickson walked into the room with his tablet. “How are you holding up?”
“I’m up.” Renard smirked and held onto Dominic’s hand. “Since they aren’t coming, can I go back to Megiddo?”
“You’re not getting back on that ship, Renard.”
“Nope. And besides, I’m under strict orders not to release you until the baby comes.”
“From who?”
“Who else? Your dad. He wants to make sure you get the best medical care here on Damascus. And he wants to make sure he gets a glimpse of his grandchild before you run back home.”
Renard snorted. “Whatevs. Anything you can do to bring them out?”
“I’ve given you everything to induce labor, but unfortunately this little person is stubborn.”
“Just like his daddy.” Dominic joked.
“And his Poppa,” Renard added and squeezed his palm.
