Whiskey Tango Page 3

by Alison Beamon

All of her life she had done what she knew was right. She had done exactly what was expected of her. What everyone else wanted her to do. Then he came along and awakened a bad girl side. She had to admit that she liked it. She had to admit that she liked him.

He was dangerous with a hint of uncertainty. The not knowing what to expect was almost as sexy as the man himself. Jon was sitting on the edge of her bed when she opened the door. Crossing the room he stopped in front of her, his hand went inside of her robe to close on her hip.

“I want you naked in that bed when I come out.” Then he was going into the bathroom. She had no reason not to do as he asked.

It was a hell of a turn on to have him talk to her like that. So she dropped the robe and climbed back into the bed naked.

Whiskey was rough with her, but she had to admit that she liked it. She wondered if he was testing her limits. Seeing just how far she was willing to let him go. She did not even know her own limits. As a teacher the man was the best. He had her experiencing all types of things and she was enjoying it. It helped that she had feelings for him. That thought stopped her cold. There was no way she could have feelings for him. They had only just met. Sure she liked him, but that was it. There was no way she could think that it went any deeper.

“I have to go to church.” She said when he rolled off of her. His arm over his eyes as he laid back on the pillow.

“I don’t do church.” London did not let that bother her. It was his choice how he wanted to live his life.

“But I’ll do you again if you want me too.”

“I think I am done.” She said getting up off of the bed. She needed a shower and then she was going to get herself dressed. It did not bother her that he was still in her bed. Jon looked almost asleep as she went into the bathroom. Her body was thoroughly used and it was not a bad thing. When she came out of her closet he looked at her his head still on the pillow.

“Can I just sleep while you are gone?” The man was almost asleep as he asked the question.

“Sure.” Then she was moving to the bed. She was just going to give him a kiss. He pulled her down on the bed and had a hand up her skirt.

“Why did you bother putting on panties?” He groaned as he kissed her. London smiled as she tried to get away from him. He was not having it. His hand hooked the panties and they were sliding down.

“Jon.” She cried but it was not helping. He was going to have them and there was nothing she could do about it. Even tired she was not able to stop him. He lifted her skirt and buried his face between her legs. Instead of fighting with him she enjoyed the feel of his mouth on her. When he was done he went back to lay his head on the pillow, her panties in his hand.

“I can’t believe you.” She stood trying to fix her skirt. Making her way back to her closet she got another pair of panties. The man was going to clean her out if she kept wearing them around him.

  FOUR

Sitting in church she tried to keep her mind on the sermon. Instead she kept remembering the football game and then this morning before she left. The images were not helping her to sit still. Crossing her legs over and over she tried to get control of her thoughts. She was in the house of the Lord, for crying out loud. She wondered what he was doing in her house. Would he be sleeping? Would he be waiting on her? Would he want to have sex again? Shaking her head she again tried to focus on the preacher and the words that he was saying.

London did not wait around for fellowship after the service. She drove straight home. His truck was still parked outside of her house. That made her smile.

“Did you do that on purpose?” London asked when she entered her bedroom. Jon was still in the bed. He rolled over and looked at her.

“What?” The sleep was still on his face and it was sexy as hell.

“You made it impossible for me to sit still in church.” The words made him smile.

“You get naked and I will make it impossible for you to sit still now.” The desire was heavy in his eyes and she did not think she could take much more.

“Do you eat?” London asked him and did not miss the way his eyebrows went up.

“I think you know the answer to that question.” The meaning behind those words was clear in the look he gave her not too mention the tone of his voice.

“Food, Jon, do you eat food?” The color rushed to her face.

“Who needs food, when I have you. Come on over here and I will show you.” The way he said that made her want to take him up on his offer, but she was hungry.

“I am going to get something to eat. Do you want to go?” London watched as he relaxed into the pillow.

“I am tired my angel wore me out last night. Can you bring me something back?”

“Sure.” Then she was heading out. The man was impossible. Fast food was not really her thing, but she did not want to leave him alone in her house anymore than she had to. Of course she had left him there while she had gone to church. Why was she having these thoughts now?

When she came back with the food he was coming out of the kitchen. The man was wearing only his boxer shorts. He looked so good. The muscles in his body were perfect. The tattoo on his shoulder turned out to be an angel. She smiled at him as she made her way to the kitchen. He followed her.

“So you know what I do for a living. What do you do?” The question was neutral enough she thought.

“I work.” He said before taking a bite of the biscuit that she had brought him.

“Now that is original.” London did not really care what he did for a living it did not matter to her.

“Construction.” He said before drinking from his bottle of water.

“I build things.” He added after he swallowed. She could believe that simply because of the body that he had. London did not question him further, instead she finished the food and balled the wrapper up.

“So what do you do all day?” His question broke into the comfortable silence.

“Usually I relax and maybe go for a hike. I have a huge gala in about six weeks, and I need some new designs.” The man was easy to talk to as well as look at. This was what she guessed they meant by easy on the eyes.

“You ever rode a motorcycle?” She shook her head at his question. “Put on some jeans.”

London had never really thought about riding a motorcycle before. It was just not something that she considered. Jon had her doing what ever he wanted with a few simple words.

That was okay she thought. It was nice to have someone making all the decisions for a change. The bottle of whiskey was on her night stand and she smiled at it and shook her head. Would she ever be able to look at another bottle of whiskey again without thinking of him?

Sitting behind him on the Harley was pretty easy she thought. He had given her a few basic instructions. Just hold on and lean with him. That was not hard. She was not sure where he was going and did not really care. The ride was fun and freeing. Jon was a master of his machine and she enjoyed the feel of him in her arms.

When he came to a stop they were on the top of a mountain. It was a tourist spot she thought. There was a parking lot and a bunch of cars. Placing the helmets on the bike he pulled her by the hand behind him. When he stopped they were standing at a rail looking over the land spread out before them. London looked at all of those little buildings below her. It was amazing. The farmland seemed to stretch for miles.

Jon stood behind her pointing out the different buildings. There were a few that he told her he had built. It was nice being there with him at her back, and the wind lightly brushing her face. When he turned her in his arms she saw something in his eyes. Like the time before it was not there long enough for her to decide what it was.

“Thank you.” The smile with those words was real and she was sure that she had fallen in love with this man.

“For what?” He asked her as he placed a kiss on her temple.

“This is amazing.” She said before he kissed her on the mouth. Jon did not have a problem d
eepening the kiss and awakening the desire in her.

“You’re welcome.” There was something in those words. Something that she could almost hear. She had to be losing her mind. Instead of dwelling on it she went with him. Together they walked along a path, hand in hand. Jon seemed to enjoy pointing out the different kinds of flora and fauna along the way.

London did not want to try to find something wrong, but she felt it. There was something wrong and she could not put her finger on it. That intuition was loud and clear and she should have paid more attention to it. Instead she pushed it to the side and dove heart first.

It was not hard to get lost in him, he was so easy to be with. She had not smiled and laughed so much in a long time. He was funny and charming. It seemed that everyone they saw smiled at him.

On the ride back home he stopped by a lake and tried to teach her how to skip rocks.

The sun was starting to set and she just couldn’t get the dang thing to slide across the water. Again this was something that he excelled at. After the hundredth time of throwing a rock, not the way that he continued to show her, the thing just plopped into the water. She heard him growl and was not fast enough to stay out of his arms.

“I think you are trying not to do it, just so we can stay out here longer.” His mouth covered hers and she wrapped her arms around his neck. Was it so wrong to want to be with him? Something told her to check herself. Slow this down.

It was just so hard when he was pressing against her like that. When he laid her on the ground she shook her head.

“Jon, we can’t do this here.” Looking around she wondered what would happen if someone came up on them. He ignored her and came to rest on top of her.

“Just kiss me.” That was easy enough to do. She did as she was told and was lost to him. She did not even realize that he had removed her clothes. Then her panties were going down and he raised his eyebrows at her. The ground under her was hard, but so was he. The man had no shame she thought after he was finished.

“I am going to have to stop wearing panties around you.” She said as another pair went into his pocket.

“Now you are learning.” He said as he pulled her to him and kissed her.

Later that night as they lay in her bed she thought about her feelings. It was so hard to think that she was in love with him, she barely knew him. His arm was over her and she thought he was asleep. Slowly she trailed a finger over his hand, up and down each finger. As she trailed his ring finger she closed her eyes.

“I love you.” She said as sleep claimed her. She thought he was sleeping. He was not.

  FIVE

Waking up in the morning she found herself alone in the bed. Jon was gone. The whiskey bottle still sitting on her night stand made her smile. She had to admit that yesterday had been one amazing day, but there was so much she needed to get done today.

Showering she made her way to the closet. The thought of how quickly her panties were vanishing was funny. There was no risk of losing any now so she slid on a pair. On her way out she made a phone call. Being somewhat famous had it’s perks. The doctor’s office was happy to squeeze her in.

“What kind of tests should I get, if I have had sex with someone I just met?” That was not exactly what she wanted to say, but that was the heart of it. She did not know Jon and she did not think that he had any sexually transmitted diseases, but she was not going to take any chances.

“Did you use protection?” The question did not cause her any worry. She simply shook her head.

“All of them.” The nurse answered her and she agreed. The results would not be available for some time but that was okay. She thought to get on some form of birth control. Instead she decided to wait for all of the results and then she would deal with the rest of it.

After her appointment she headed into the office. Her phone rang and she saw that it was her father’s number.

  “Hello.”

“Where are you?” He asked and she heard something in his tone.

“Heading into the office. Why?” That feeling, the one you get when you know the whole world is about to change landed in the pit of her stomach.

“Don’t go there, go to my house.” There was something in his voice and she did not like it.

“Dad, you are scaring me.” She admitted not liking this one bit.

“It is nothing, London, just go there.” Ending the call she headed toward her father’s house. Her cell phone rang again and she saw that it was Casey. She did not want to talk to her friend. Fifteen seconds may have passed after Casey’s call and she saw that it was Carrie. The fear started to crawl up into her heart. Something was wrong. The phone rang so many times and she continued to ignore it.

When she got to her father’s house she saw the news vans. Driving around to the garage she pushed the button and drove her car into it. She stayed in her car until the garage door closed. Tears climbed up in her eyes and she fought to keep them back.

Entering her father’s kitchen she saw their attorney. Jackson Matthews and he did not look happy. There were no words said as he dropped the newspaper on the counter in front of her.

Right there on the front page was a picture of her. She knew immediately where this photo had been taken. She was in Jon’s bed her hair spread behind her, her eyes closed. There was a huge censored box across her breasts.

‘Nude Photos of London Lane Hit The Internet.’ The headline read. There was no holding the tears back. Dropping her head into her hands she cried. It was too much to process. Her phone was going to explode. Pulling it from her pocket she turned it off. She could not deal with all of this at the moment. The tears would not be stopped.

“Damage control.” Mr. Matthews started but she was not ready for any of that. She shook her head and made her way to her old room. The room had not changed, it looked like she had never left.

How could he do that to her? Curling up on her bed she pulled a pillow into her arms. The pain was so strong and it hurt. The very heart in her chest had been ripped completely out. There really was no damage control for this.

She wondered for a moment if he had taken any more photos. Then decided she did not want to think on that. The whole thing seemed like a bad dream and she wanted to wake up.

There was a knock on the door and she looked to see who it was. Her mother was coming into the room. Her parent’s had divorced several years ago. She wondered who had called her mother.

“Mom.” London said and her mother was there wrapping her arms around her.

“It is going to be okay, baby, your daddy will fix this.” Oh if only it was as easy as that. She did not know what to tell her mother. The pain in her heart was crushing.

“I love him. Mom.” That was what hurt the most. She loved him and he had done this to her. Why oh why would he do this to her? What had she done to him?

“Oh, Honey, I am so sorry.” London simply cried as her mother held her. There was so much more at stake than her feelings for a man that did not care about her.

“Why did he do this to me?” The idea that he had done it for money did not help her mood. It actually made her hurt more. If he had done it for money, then how much did he know about her when they had met?

“I don’t know, but we will find out.” Those words did nothing to ease her pain. No they made it worse. Damage control would not leave a rock unturned as they searched for him. She knew that it was her job to help them.

So many people depended on her father’s company. This whole little incident could ruin so many people.

“Jon Tango.” She said to her mother before pulling away and curling up on the bed again. Her mother left then, she knew that she was going to give that information to Mr. Matthews.

London stayed in that bed all that day and night. It hurt so much and she wished she could get through it. She wondered if he had even heard her declaration of love. If so, well that did not need completing.

On Tuesday her Father returned and he was determined to get to
the bottom of it. Several more photos were leaked and they were making the rounds. Damage control was doing all they could to keep the damage to a minimum. They could not help her broken heart. When she entered the dining room, all activity stopped. Her father met her eyes but did not say anything. She wondered if she looked as bad as she felt. When she got close enough she looked at that mess of papers they had on the table. There was a picture of Jon and she looked at it. He was wearing a suit and he looked nothing like the bad boy that she had just spent a weekend with.

“We have this under control.” Her father said to her. She doubted if he really had it under control. The team around the table gave her mixed looks. There was one guy that would not even look at her.

She saw the images sticking out of a folder. She picked it up.
