  My heart leaps. I nod.

‘And I’d expect you to be at all my boxing matches.’

  I nod again.

‘You know I’m crazy about you, don’t you?’ he grins, pulling me into his arms.

‘I’m crazy about you too,’ I say.

‘Want to come back to my house,’ he whispers.

Try stopping me. I see Sylvie and Felix at the corner. If they do anything to bugger this up I swear I won’t be held responsible.

  ‘Everything hunky-dory love?’ asks Felix.

  Sam’s lips brush my neck.

‘Except you’ll never really know if it was a real murder will you?’

He’s joking, at least I hope he’s joking, but as his lips touch mine I realise I don’t care if he isn’t.

  Epilogue

Felix: Just bumped into Angie, apparently Darren is moving in with her.

Sylvie: I hope they’ll be very happy together.

Felix: If they are I’ll eat my arse.

Sylvie: Seriously, he may have found his soulmate.

Roxie: Can you two stop talking about my ex. Jennifer Aniston never had to put up with this.

Felix: How was last night with Sam, love? I want details.

Roxie: Wonderful, and you’re not getting any.

Sylvie: Nigel’s invited me to go on location with him - can’t wait.

Roxie: That’s great Sylvie, I’m so happy for you.

Felix: Got to dash, meeting Mr Umm at Copacabana in 30 minutes.

  Roxie: Have fun, x

  Felix: Going, Going, Gone

  The Dog’s Bollocks

On arriving home after a friend’s posh wedding, launderette worker Harriet finds her life irrevocably changed as she discovers her flat ransacked and her boyfriend missing. In a matter of hours she is harassed by East End gangsters and upper crust aristocrats. Accepting an offer she can’t refuse, Harriet, against her better judgement becomes the fiancée of the wealthy Hamilton Lancaster, with dire consequences. What she had not bargained on was meeting Doctor Brice Edmunds.

The Dog’s Bollocks is one of Lynda Renham’s funniest novels. A cocktail of misunderstandings, three unlikely gangsters, a monkey and a demented cat make this novel a hysterical read. Follow Harriet’s adventure where every attempt to get out of trouble puts her deeper in it.
