“We’re fine, Mally.”
Jesse took another step closer and put his hands on her forearms. The heat of his skin seeped into hers and made her want so much more skin-on-skin contact.
Then Max closed the rest of the distance between them and put his hand on her shoulder.
“Come into the back with us. We need to talk.”
Hope made her turn to grab her purse, which Izzy helpfully held out with a smile before she gave a private thumbs-up.
Then she allowed them to lead her into the back. She didn’t stop to tell her other friends, though she caught sight of Damaris staring at her with wide eyes from across the dance floor. Izzy would take care of that.
With the noise from the club dampened as soon as they stepped into the office area, she turned to face them…and nearly smacked face first into Max’s chest.
Looking up in to his eyes, she saw heat and desire and yearning. It was the yearning that made her weak in the knees.
And when he grabbed her shoulders to hold her steady, she felt Jesse put his hands on her hips and step closer until his chest was flat against her back.
Caught between them, she couldn’t think of anywhere else she’d rather be.
“I think we should take this somewhere more private.”

“If you’re not going to tell me you’ve changed your mind then I’m not going any farther. You can’t just keep—”

“We intend to keep you, Mally. Right here.” Max drew back just far enough to be able to look her in the eyes. “Come home with us and I will get on my knees and beg for forgiveness. And while I’m down there, I will lick you until you come so damn hard, you can’t leave. And when I’m done, Jesse and I will fuck you until you won’t ever think of leaving.”
She swallowed so hard, she swore they could hear her out in the club. “Not fair.”
Max nodded. “You’re absolutely right. I didn’t treat you fairly. I let all the shit in my head get between us. I let you down and Jesse nearly lost you, too.”
“And, babe.” Jesse spoke directly into her ear from behind, making her shiver. “I don’t plan to lose you again so you can be damn sure I will keep him in line.”
Could she trust them? Or would they break her heart again? She didn’t know if her heart would survive another break if they didn’t come through this time.
But did she really have a choice?
Yes, she did. But when it came to these two, she knew any choice she made would always include them.

Max barely had the door shut behind them when Mally stopped in the front room and turned to him with that look on her face. The one that let him know she wanted to talk.
“So are you— Oh!”
Jesse grabbed her by the hips, lifted her against him and kissed her. Mally’s purse dropped to the floor as she wrapped her arms around Jesse’s shoulders and stepped into his body.

As Jesse steered her toward the bedroom, Max locked up and set the alarms, triple checking them to be sure. He’d probably never have enough security to keep her safe, but he’d come to terms with the fact that there were just some things he couldn’t control.
Having Mally in their life was one thing he could.
In the bedroom, he found Jesse and Mally already on the bed. Jesse had stripped her and her beautiful body gleamed against the dark sheets, hair already a messy fan across the pillows.

“I never plan to.” Jesse looked over her shoulder at Max, a promise in his eyes. “We won’t.”
“Agreed.” Max grabbed her hand and pressed a kiss to her palm. “We’re in this together. Forever.”
