“Ryan!!!” Emilia shouted but Ryan did not respond to her.

  Slap!!!!

Emilia slapped Ryan to bring him out of his stupor. She had thought that Ryan had gone berserk, and slapping is one of the ways to bring a Taboo Martial Artist out of a Berserk state.

“Mother, why did you slap me?” Ryan asked as he looked at Emilia with teary eyes.

Everyone was stunned for a second as the Ryan from a few moments ago was domineering and gave off a powerful feeling, but currently he gave off the piteousness of a child. The change was drastic in the extreme.

Emilia quickly got down on her knees and hugged him. She hugged him until he had calmed down, and Alexis and Julia also tried to comfort him.

Everyone, especially Shana, was looking at Ryan without blinking their eyes. A slight smile appeared on her face as she felt happy that her brother was able to diagnose the cause of her illness, but the fact that he was angry for her sake made warmth surge in her heart. All of them were patiently waiting for Ryan to calm down.

Currently, Ryan looked no different from a regular teenager, which was completely different from his normal confident self.

  Ch.8

Solomon’s expression changed when he saw the entire episode involving Ryan eruption in anger and Emilia pacifying him in the Living room of Alexis and Blasius’s Estate. His eyes also became moist, as a very old memory had suddenly resurfaced in his mind after seeing it all. Aquila and company were also stunned at seeing such a change in Solomon’s demeanor. They didn’t know what to say.

“Father, tears don’t suit you,” Heron said as the Light Attribute Healing Orbs disappeared from around him and his elder brother. Solomon slowly turned his head towards them, before completely ignoring them again as his gaze again moved back to the screen in front of him.

Aquila and the others were excited upon seeing Heron and Herman all fine as well as their confirmation that Solomon was really their father. Heron and Herman signaled to them to leave the Living room for some time, so they quickly turned into blurs before completely disappearing from the room.

“Why didn’t you guys tell the others about me? You told me that you were planning to tell them when we met last time,” Solomon asked as he glared at his sons.

“We decided to postpone it by a few years. The situation of our Family Clans could have become troublesome if your enemies had come to know about us being your children. You have only just recently recovered, so it was best to keep low until we were in a position to strike in such a manner that your enemies would be unable to respond,” Herman said in a decisive manner. Solomon couldn’t help but agree with his son’s views. His enemies were truly dangerous, and they had almost succeeded in killing him the last time.

“By the way, why were you crying?” Heron asked, as that was a rare event.

“You know, today after seeing Ryan, an old memory of mine resurfaced. I have tried numerous times to forget it, but have been unable to do so. I also used to have a big family like Ryan when I was a kid. My father and mother were good people. They always tried their best to help others,” Solomon reminisced dreamily.

“One day a genius of a powerful faction tried to molest my sister. I killed him in order to protect her, but that lead to the annihilation of my entire family. I was somehow able to escape that calamity as my father sacrificed himself for me. On that day, I realized the importance of strength, so I trained myself until I was strong enough to annihilate the faction responsible for the deaths of my family members. I didn’t spare anyone belonging to that faction … and that is how my infamous bloody journey started,” Solomon said as his breathing rate increased and a little bit of Baleful aura surged out of his body.

Unlike Ryan, Solomon was able to control the output of his Baleful aura even in anger. Solomon’s Baleful aura was quite different from Ryan’s too. Ryan’s Baleful aura was rampant, domineering and aggressive, but Solomon’s lacked presence and was quite similar to ghosts and wraiths. But even in lesser quantities, Solomon’s Baleful aura sent chills down Herman’s and Heron’s spines. It made them feel uncomfortable, so Solomon quickly retracted it on seeing their reactions.

The attentions of Solomon and his sons suddenly turned towards the screen as they heard the conversation that was going on in the Living room of Alexis and Blasius’s Estate.

“It seems someone is targeting even the kids on Grandura,” Solomon said while still looking at the screen. Anyone could tell that he was concerned about his descendants on Grandura. Heron and Herman opened their mouths a few times, but no words came out. They had never expected that someone would target the Grandura branches of their Family Clans while they were still alive.

“Let’s see what sort of plan this kid comes up with. We will decide our course of action accordingly. I am quite intrigued about him and have high expectations of him,” Solomon said in a serious manner. Heron and Herman nodded their heads.

It was unknown what Solomon was thinking.

Emilia released Ryan from her embrace when he calmed down. Alexis and Julia were also by his side. Everyone in the room was looking at Ryan with great expectation, even though they knew that the chances of him being wrong were extremely high. In the end, he was just a fifteen year old kid, so there was a high chance that he could have made a mistake as even renowned doctors had been helpless in Shana’s case. Since he claimed that Shana was poisoned, then there was a chance that they could help Shana out of her predicament. If they knew the name of the poison, then they could try finding an antidote for it. Ryan could tell what was going on in everyone’s mind.

“She has been poisoned by an extremely powerful Poison Martial Artist. If I am not wrong, then the Poison Martial Artist is most likely a Celestial,” Ryan said in a helpless manner, but everyone was stunned at hearing his words for a second before they gave him a weird look. Ryan could tell that they didn’t believe him, but he didn’t mind as he knew the reason for it. Generally, a Mortal Realm Martial Artist has a hard time detecting a deed done by an Immortal Realm Martial Artist, so it is technically impossible for a Mortal Realm Martial Artist to detect a deed done by a Celestial Realm Martial Artist.

In reality, it was not him that had inferred this, but Death Sword. Death Sword had been slumbering since absorbing the Black Pearl, but woke up all of a sudden when he sensed the energy of a Celestial Realm Martial Artist around Ryan; Death Sword’s condition had significantly improved after absorbing the Black Pearl. Initially, Ryan could tell that Shana was poisoned as he could sense poison inside her body, but he was unable to tell its source. It is very difficult to treat a poison without knowing its source, but its source was actually pointed out by Death Sword, who again entered a deep sleep-state after making sure that Ryan was not in any sort of immediate danger.

“My senses are extremely sharp, and nothing can escape them. I have met a few Ancestors from the Main branch of the Eternity Family Clan. The aura that I sensed in Shana’s body is quite similar to theirs which made me deduce that the Poison Martial Artist is most likely a Celestial, but please don’t ask me any questions regarding those grandpas as I won’t answer them,” Ryan lied in a calm manner, but his words were equal to atomic explosions in the minds of all the people present in the Living room.

“He’s actually had the opportunity to meet someone from the Main branch!!!!!” everyone couldn’t help but think in a stunned manner. They knew that even the current heads of the Grandura branches both Family Clans had not been so lucky as to get an opportunity like that.

“But how did he get such an opportunity?” everyone couldn’t help but think as they looked at Ryan with a questioning gaze. Ryan could guess what was going on in their mind.

“I got to meet them due to Grandfather’s connections,” Ryan said.

“Oh! So that how it is,” everyone thought with mixed feelings. Oscar had always been secretive and he was also a top talent of his generation, so they didn’t feel it odd for Oscar to have relations with someone from the Main
branch. Genius always attracts the attention of the members of the Main branches.

“Ryan, do you have a way to deal with the poison inside Shana?” Sheena asked in an excited manner. She had a gut feeling that Ryan would be able to solve Shana’s illness, and it had been a long time since she had been this excited.

“The poison inside Shana is extremely deadly, but currently except for making her sick, it is not at all affecting her in any other way. Her life-force is still extremely vigorous even after having had such a terrifying poison in her body for quite some time. This can only mean that someone is scheming against Shana, if I am not wrong. They must have some intended special use of her otherwise they wouldn’t have gone to such an extent,” Ryan surmised.

“One thing is clear: they intend to get Shana alive at all costs as no faction would send a Martial Artist from the Divine Universe to Grandura without a major reason,” Ryan said as Killing intent surged out of his body.

The faces of everyone present in the Living room twitched at hearing Ryan’s words. They knew what Ryan said was definitely a possibility, if the Martial Artist that had poisoned Shana was really a Celestial. Sheena and Alwin’s faces became pale. Sheena tightly embraced Shana, who, on the other hand, had a dazed expression.

It was unknown what was going on in her mind.

“By the way, what is Shana’s Martial Spirit?” Ryan could tell Shana had a Cultivation Level of Early Mortal Elite Realm.

Many a time, Martial Artists were targeted in a similar manner because of their Martial Spirits. These unlucky Martial Artists are turned into Cauldrons, and once that happens, then their Martial Spirits turn into Spirit essence, which can be used by other Martial Artists to increase their strength or to attempt a breakthrough to a higher realm of the Martial Path. Spirit essence can also be employed for various other purposes depending on the Martial Spirit from which it was obtained. A Martial Artist dies the moment all the Spirit essence is extracted from his or her body, and the entire process is extremely painful.

“She has two Martial Spirits. One is Undying Fire Beast, but she has been unable to awaken that Martial Spirit completely, and her other Martial Spirit is Fire Attribute Sword-shaped Martial Spirit. She has been able to form a Soul Core for her second Martial Spirit,” Julia said as intense Killing intent erupted out of her body, as she could understand the meaning behind Ryan’s question. It was not just Julia though.

Everyone in the room had come to a similar conclusion: someone was targeting Shana’s Undying Fire Beast Martial Spirit.

Undying Fire Beast is an extremely powerful and tyrannical beast, a Fire Attribute Ancient Elemental Beast, which looks like a winged horse. It is extremely difficult to kill, as it has the ability to be reborn from any single cell that survives the fight. It can only be killed if its entire body is destroyed in an instant without leaving a single cell alive. This is extremely difficult to accomplish, because of which even dragons avoid them.

Undying Fire Beast Martial Spirit is extremely rare even in the Divine Universe. It is not even known when this Martial Spirit last showed up on Grandura. Unlike other Martial Spirits, undying Fire Beast Martial Spirit is unique as it has to be awakened twice, these being called the Primary and the Secondary awakenings.

Shana had already achieved the Primary awakening but had been unable to complete the Secondary awakening, as that required Shana to absorb an astronomical amount of Fire Elemental Energy, and Shana had been unable to do that even after absorbing Fire Elemental Energy for near on two years. At her current pace the elders of Eternity family clan deduced that it would take her around fifty thousand years to achieve the Secondary awakening.

So, the difficulty associated with it can be understood.

Once the Secondary awakening is achieved though, it leads instantly to the creation of a Fire Attribute Soul Core.

Ryan was certain that there must be one more Martial Artist on Grandura who possessed Undying Fire Beast Spirit in addition to Shana. If that Martial Artist was able to get the essence of Shana’s Undying Fire Beast Spirit, then that person would be easily able to achieve a Secondary awakening. The rest of Ryan’s family members had also come to a similar conclusion, which made their expressions ugly. If this was the case, then the faction to which that Martial Artist belonged wouldn’t give up on Shana easily.

“Ryan, are those Ancestors from the Main branch still on Grandura?” Alwin asked in a frantic manner. Each word came out of his mouth with great difficulty as he felt overwhelming pain in his chest. Anyone could see that he was intensely shaken up mentally.

“They are still on Grandura. I will ask Grandfather to ask them for help,” Ryan said as he took out his Mental-message transmission orb. Everyone’s eyes lit up on hearing this, especially Alwin, Sheena and Shana, as they could finally see hope.

Ryan immediately contacted Oscar. He placed the Long-distance transmission orb on multi-mode so that everyone could connect to it and hear his conversation with Oscar.

“Ryan, what’s happened?” Oscar asked in a concerned manner, as he had told him to contact only him if he had in any sort of problem while inside Heavenly City. The eyes of Julia and other members of Ryan’s paternal family became moist upon hearing Oscar’s voice after almost two decades.

“Grandfather, it’s like this … ” and Ryan quickly explained everything to Oscar. The entire time Oscar didn’t speak a single word, and there was pin-drop silence on his side until Ryan finished.

“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!” Oscar roared in anger. It was as if he had gone berserk. His roar shook the hearts of everyone that was connected to Ryan’s Mental-message transmission orb. Oscar’s rampant emotions were clearly felt by everyone.

“Can’t you be a little bit more civilized, Grandfather? Grandmother is also connected to my Mental-message transmission orb. What will she think?” Ryan said. There was again silence from Oscar’s side.

“Is she seriously connected to your Mental-message transmission orb?” Oscar asked after a moment’s silence. Anyone could tell that he was scared of Julia. Everyone in the Living room looked at Julia with a weird expression, and she just gave them a wry smile.

“Yes,” Ryan said as he winked at Julia, who just gave Ryan a wry smile.

“So, do you know who the culprit is?” Oscar asked after he calmed himself a little.

“I don’t know at this moment, but I am sure that he or she will show up soon. I want you to come here with Grandpa Sheldon and the other four grandpas and check Shana’s condition - or you to take Shana to them so we can then make a future plan,” Ryan suggested.

“OK. I will ask them for help as soon as possible,” Oscar said as he disconnected his Mental-message transmission orb from Ryan’s.

A smile appeared on everyone’s faces after hearing Oscar’s positive response.

Solomon and his sons were looking at all the happenings in the Living room of Ryan’s maternal grandparents with odd expressions, as they were having a hard time believing that Ryan had such powerful senses. They were unable to verify Ryan’s claim from the Divine Universe. For some reason though, they had a gut feeling that Ryan was telling the truth. They could tell after hearing Ryan’s words that someone had made a very elaborate plan to scheme against Shana.

“Who is Sheldon?” Solomon asked in an intrigued manner.

“He is a kid from my Family Clan. I had to banish him along with four others,” Herman said in a scared manner. He knew that his father didn’t like him and his brother banishing anyone from either of their respective Family Clans, but they’d had no choice at the time, as they’d had to keep up their façade of righteousness.

“What crime did they commit that you had to banish them? Do you even know how difficult it is to survive in a Divine Universe without the support of a faction?” Solomon asked him in an angry manner.

“Brother had no choice at the time. Sheldon along with the four others wiped out an entire D Grade faction. They didn’t even spare the faction’s little ki
ds. The bloodbath they caused turned the five of them into the Number One Enemy of an S Grade faction named the Nebula Sect, as the D Grade faction was its subsidiary,” Heron explained to Solomon.

“The five of them caused the bloodbath in an extremely secretive manner so no one knew who’d annihilated that D Grade faction. If they hadn’t personally told us about it, then even we wouldn’t have known about it either,” he added.

“The Nebula Sect didn’t give up, though, and continued to investigate the incident. That scared Brother so he banished all five of them from the Family Clan without anyone else knowing about it,” he continued.

“No one knows about this matter except for us and Raizel. To avoid future trouble, we staged an act in which all five of them died while on a Family Clan mission,” Heron finished explaining, as he could tell that his older brother was having a hard time opening his mouth. Raizel was Herman’s eldest son and the first person to be banished from the Eternity Family Clan.

Raizel knew about Herman and Heron’s true natures and knew that they were forcing themselves to banish their descendants from their respective Family Clans. He was asked by Herman and Heron to take care of all their banished descendants from both Clans. He never asked them the reason for their actions and did as he was told. He would meet all the members of the Main branches right after their banishment and offer them a safe place to live and help them to survive in the Divine universe.

“Do you know the reason they caused that bloodbath?” Solomon asked, as he felt that the attack on the Radiant Divine World was somehow connected to Sheldon and company.

“It is unknown. I asked them numerous times before I banished them, but they refused to open their mouths. The Nebula Sect launched a full scale manhunt for them, so I knew it would be problematic, if they remained in the Family Clan. At that time, I told them to escape to Grandura to save themselves, but I wasn’t actually expecting them to heed my advice and go there, as they’d never listened to me earlier on,” Herman said with mixed feelings. He still remembered that day clearly.
