Death Sword had been in deep sleep-state but suddenly woke up again when he sensed Dark Star Ore. He was stunned on seeing the quantity of it, as he had never seen so many pieces of Dark Star Ore at the same time in his entire life. Dark Star Ore is a rare item even in Divine Universe, though not as rare as Netherworld Honey, but nevertheless it is a Heavenly Treasure that is always in high demand. As a result, a majority of the Martial Artists possessing Life Weapons are unable to find even a single piece of it in their entire lives to fuse with their Life Weapon.

So, the reaction of Death Sword can be understood.

All beings that possess Life Weapons actively search for Dark Star Ore pieces to fuse with their Life Weapon, which results in an increase in its toughness and sharpness. The power of their Life Weapon also increases to an unprecedented level each time. In certain cases, Life Weapons are able to gain some fearsome innate abilities. There is no limit to the amount of Dark Star Ore that a Martial Artist can fuse with his or her Life Weapon, but most Martial Artists never even find one piece.

“What would I turn into, if I were to absorb this entire pile of Dark Star Ore pieces?” Death Sword thought to himself. The mere thought of that made him excited.

“Master, can I absorb all these Dark Star Ore pieces?” Death Sword asked as if his life depended on it.

“You can have half of it,” Ryan said in a nonchalant manner.

“Master! Why??” Death Sword asked. He was a little unhappy with Ryan’s reply, as he would recover at a terrifying pace, if he could have all of them.

“I am currently being watched by millions of my Clan members so if I were to hog the entire Dark Star Ore then you can imagine the problem I would face after exiting the Treasure Space,” Ryan replied with a sigh. Death Sword couldn’t help but agree with him.

“But listen to me carefully now. You will have to put on an act of being a Rebellious Martial Spirit,” Ryan said as he quickly explained him everything. Death Sword readily agreed. He knew that Ryan would be in a problematic situation, if he didn’t act like a rebellious Martial Spirit.

Martial Spirits that don’t listen to their hosts and always do things that work against their hosts are known as Rebellious Martial Spirits. Any Martial Artist possessing one is considered quite unlucky. These Martial Spirits never cultivate and do not allow their host to cultivate peacefully. Martial Artists that possess Rebellious Martial Spirits are considered the worst talents because of this. Any type of Martial Spirit can turn out to be rebellious in nature, as there are no specific types.

It all depended on the Martial Artist’s luck.

The entire Sundering Valley was shrouded in silence when they saw a black sword appear in Ryan’s hand. Everyone could tell that this black sword was a Life Weapon, and then he used it to cut the Dark Star Ore into hundreds of small pieces which left everyone stupefied. Ryan had used the Second Slash of the Heaven Sundering Sword Martial Skill, the one called Razor slash. In this slash, the sharpness of the sword reaches an unprecedented level for a brief moment.

The reason they were stupefied was due to the ease with which Ryan had used Razor slash. All the moves of Heaven Sundering Sword Martial Skill are quite demanding and require a certain amount of preparation, but Ryan had used it effortlessly. This spoke volumes of his talent in the way of the sword, which was more or less the same as Anzo’s.

Members of the Upper echelons of the Heaven Sundering Family Clan were looking at the screen showing Ryan with bright eyes, as if they had found a jewel, but Oscar, Cris, Blake and Emilia had ugly expressions, as they felt that there was more to Ryan’s Third Martial Spirit than met the eye, otherwise Ryan wouldn’t have hidden its existence from them.

The expressions of the rest of Ryan’s family members were elated as they launched a barrage of questions at Oscar, Emilia, Cris and Blake. Many people were looking at Ryan’s family with envious expressions. They were certain that in the future Ryan was bound to become a top figure of both Family Clans.

Sheldon, Danr and Brian were equally shocked as they’d never expected Ryan to be a Triple Martial Spirits holder but nevertheless, they were extremely happy for him.

All this excitement didn’t last long as Death Sword started following the script that had been prepared for him by Ryan. He started to release large quantities of Baleful aura and started to struggle with Ryan and tried to fly out of Ryan’s hand. Ryan wore a twisted expression as he tried to keep a firm grip over Death Sword’s handle. His acting looked so genuine that even Sheldon, Danr and Brian were unable to tell that it was a staged act. They too were looking at Ryan with concern, just like his family members and well-wishers. Everyone literally felt that Ryan was trying his best to keep his Life Weapon under his control.

Death Sword soon escaped Ryan following which he flew straight towards the pile of Dark Star Ore pieces. He directly plunged into the pile and started to absorb Dark Star Ore at a frantic pace. Everyone was able to see the pile of Dark Star Ore decrease substantially within just a few seconds.

The people in Sundering Valley were looking at the screen showing Ryan with bloodshot eyes. They certainly didn’t like the fact that Death Sword had absorbed so much Dark star Ore.

They hated Death Sword from the bottoms of their hearts but none of them held Ryan responsible for it. Since Ryan had cut the boulder of Dark Star Ore into hundreds of pieces, that clearly revealed his intention of sharing it with other participants.

In their mind, Ryan himself was a victim of his hateful Martial Spirit.

“Death Sword you are doing well. Just keep up the act,” Ryan said via Mental-message transmissions as he felt giddy deep down. He was receiving a stream of Mental-message transmissions from Caius informing him about the evolving situation in Sundering Valley. He was able to deduce from them that everyone had believed that Death Sword was his Martial Spirit, and that too, a Rebellious Martial Spirit.

“Thank you, Master,” Death Sword replied via Mental-message transmissions. He was enjoying the moment as he devoured more and more Dark Star Ore pieces.

“You can’t absorb all of it. I intend to share it with others,” Ryan roared at the top of his voice as he quickly ran towards the pile of Dark Star Ore pieces. It took Ryan just a few seconds to firmly hold Death Sword’s handle again, as he tried to pull him out of the pile of Dark Star Ore pieces.

Death Sword was far stronger than Ryan, so it was natural that Ryan was unable to pull him out of the pile of Dark Star Ore pieces even if he tried his best. Ryan took advantage of this fact so everyone in Sundering Valley felt that he was trying his best. Large quantities of Baleful aura, Fire aura, and Death aura erupted from Ryan’s body which then transformed into a dragon with red eyes.

“Roar!” Yama issued a roar as he flew towards Death Sword. This time Ryan and Yama both worked together to pull Death Sword out from the pile of Dark Star Ore pieces which had reduced to half of its original size.

“Death Sword, now let me pull you out,” Ryan said via Mental-message transmissions as he saw that Death Sword had already absorbed half the Dark Star Ore.

“Yes, Master,” Death Sword said. He was already content with half the pile of Dark Star Ore. He knew that it would take quite some time for him to fuse all of it with himself.

“Enough is enough,” Ryan roared as he and Yama finally pulled out Death Sword from the pile, following which Ryan sent Death Sword back to his Soul World. He also recalled Yama to his Soul World soon after.

Ryan then sat quietly on the ground near the pile of Dark Star Ore pieces as he took several deep breaths.

His acting looked so genuine that no one would have been able to tell that this had all been staged.

In Sundering Valley, everyone’s attention turned towards Ryan’s family after Ryan’s act ended. They felt that something was off with them: it seemed that they’d had no idea that Ryan was Triple Martial Spirits holder. Ryan’s family was looking at the screen showing Ryan with uneasy and worried expressions. If they’d known
about Ryan’s Third Martial Spirit, then they wouldn’t have been this shaken up.

Nero and the others from the Upper echelons of both the Family Clans felt regretful that Ryan’s Third Martial Spirit was a Rebellious Martial Spirit. The thing that almost made them lose their minds was the fact that Death Sword had absorbed half the Dark Star Ore pieces. In their eyes, using even a little bit of resources on Death Sword was a waste.

“He has another Taboo Martial Spirit, that too a Rebellious one,” Oscar said as he mumbled to himself which attracted the attention of Ryan’s entire family as well as the people in Sundering Valley. He had a look of disbelief. A Taboo Martial Spirit that was rebellious could make the life of its host hell. Ryan’s family members were no different. They were so shocked, that it took some time for them to regain their composures.

“This boy hides a lot of stuff from us,” Oscar said as his face turned red with anger. If Ryan was here, then his butt would have been turned red in no time. This time Oscar was really pissed at Ryan.

“You know better than me that he is the type that doesn’t like to burden his family members with worries. I am sure we wouldn’t have known about him possessing that Rebellious Martial Spirit if not for the screens that mysteriously appeared in the skies of Sundering Valley. So, there is no point in being angry. His Rebellious Martial Spirit is still manageable. He was able to send it back to his Soul World in the end,” Julia said in a consoling manner.

“If I am not wrong, his Rebellious Martial Spirit has the personality of a little kid that has a tendency to throw tantrums on a regular basis,” Julia added after a little thought as she tried to pacify Oscar. Everyone present in Sundering Valley couldn’t help but agree with her. Oscar felt at a little more at ease after hearing that from Julia.

“You people are unnecessarily overreacting. Ryan is way stronger than what you guys think,” Sheldon’s voice rumbled in Sundering Valley which made Ryan’s family, and everyone present in Sundering Valley look up into the sky where Sheldon, Danr and Brian were hovering.

“This is an occasion worth celebrating. Your grandson has gotten himself such a powerful Soul beast with endless potential,” Danr said with a laugh. Ryan’s family had entirely forgotten about the Metallic Hell Dragon which made smiles appear on their faces. They felt a little better then, and many people came forward to congratulate Ryan’s family.

The Metallic Hell Dragon would be a great addition to the power of both Family Clans and it would also significantly increase the power of the Third branch of the Eternity Family Clan and the Fifth branch of Heaven Sundering Family Clan.

“Grandfather, I wish to try my luck to see if I can form an Equal contract with that young Night Fury Bird as soon as possible,” Cris said in a determined manner. He didn’t want to be left behind by his two older brothers, as both of them already had Soul beings.

“OK,” Oscar said and he informed Ron about Cris’s intention. Ron readily agreed, and he also congratulated Oscar and his family before taking Cris and Oscar to his home. The young Night Fury Bird was in his personal chamber which could only be accessed by him.

Ron, Oscar and Cris soon arrived at the territory of the Sixth branch of Heaven Sundering Family Clan. Ron took them to his Estate, following which he quickly led them towards his private chamber.

“It’s OK even if you fail. We will find you another descendant of a Divine Elemental Beast or Divine Elemental Bird,” Oscar said as he patted Cris. Cris just nodded his head. On hearing such words from Oscar’s mouth, Ron felt that he was dreaming: he didn’t know what to think about Oscar’s reaction at all. Oscar was known for being brutal and unforgiving but with his grandchildren, he was a completely different person.

It didn’t take them long to reach Ron’s private chamber. The Night Fury Bird released an immense amount of Killing intent as it looked intently at Ron, Cris and Oscar when they entered the chamber. Ron placed the Night Fury Bird in a cage that had been lying in a corner of the chamber.

The Night Fury Bird had pitch-black feathers and blue eyes. It looked quite similar to an eagle. It was around two-and-a-half meters in length from head to tail and had a wing span of about four meters. Its Cultivation Level was around the Mortal King Realm.

“Cris try to strike a deal with it,” Oscar said via Mental-message transmission. Cris nodded his head as he slowly approached the Night Fury Bird.

The Night Fury Bird could tell what was going on and it looked at Cris with a mocking expression.

“Screech!” the Night Fury Bird issued an ear-piercing screech as Cris started moving towards it. The amount of Killing intent being released by the Night Fury Bird increased by a notch which made Cris stop in his path. His facial expression turned pale and his breathing rate became uneven.

He looked at the Night Fury Bird with fear, but suddenly the scene of Ryan forming an Equal contract with the Metallic Hell Dragon appeared in his mind, and his fear disappeared. Cris clenched his fist as large quantities of Dark aura erupted out of his body which soon transformed into a two-meter tall muscular Humanoid which hovered above his head as it looked at the Night Fury Bird with anger. The Humanoid figure looked like a cave man and had a pitch-black body. This was his Calamity Giant Martial Spirit, but this one was little different from normal as its entire body was covered with mysterious runes. These runes had appeared on its body after True Darkness had been successfully assimilated with Cris’s body. Oscar and the other people from the Senior generation of Eternity Family Clan had no idea what these runes signified. Oscar even consulted Sheldon and his four companions, but they’d had no idea either.

“I have never seen such runes on the bodies of Calamity Giants,” Brian had said at the time, and the answers of the other four were no different. Oscar just hoped that they were a good thing.

The Night Fury Bird looked at Cris’s Calamity Giant Martial Spirit with a stunned look and stopped releasing Killing intent. To be precise, it was actually looking at the runes on the body of Cris’s Calamity Giant Martial Spirit, and soon a friendly expression appeared on its face.

“Shhhhh,” the Night Fury Bird gave off a friendly sound as it flapped its wings with happiness. Ron almost vomited blood on seeing this scene, as it had tried to break the cage to kill his descendant, when he’d tried to form an Equal contract with it. The change in the demeanor of the Night Fury Bird was just too drastic.

“Ancestor Ron, can you open the cage?” Cris asked in an excited manner. Ron made a few hands signs with a heavy heart, following which the cage disappeared from around the Night Fury Bird, which still looked at Ron with contempt as it walked towards Cris in happiness.

It stopped in front of Cris following which its entire body was covered in runes. Cris quickly bit the tip of his forefinger and dropped a few drops of his blood onto one of the runes, which quickly absorbed it. Cris soon felt a connection developing between him and the Night Fury Bird which made a smile appear on his face.

“Screech!” the Night Fury Bird issued another ear-piercing screech as it entered a deep sleep-state and was soon shrouded in black light. Oscar and Cris were overjoyed on seeing this scene, as it signified an increase in the grade of the Night Fury Bird’s bloodline purity and that it might even gain an innate ability from Cris’ Calamity Giant Martial Spirit. Ron had a stunned expression on seeing all of this.

“Cris, place your Soul being in this Beast pouch,” Oscar said as he gave Cris a Beast pouch. Cris followed his command and placed the Night Fury Bird in it, and tied the Beast pouch firmly to his waist. He had a big grin on his face.

“Ron, thank you,” Oscar said as he gave him a crystal card. Ron accepted the crystal card with a listless expression as he remembered the pain he’d undergone to get this Night Fury Bird.

“Let’s return to Sundering Valley,” Oscar said with a smile.

“You guys leave first. I have a few things to take care of,” Ron said with a forced smile. Oscar could but naturally tell what was going on in Ron’s mind, so he d
idn’t make things difficult for him.

“OK,” Oscar said as he and Cris exited Ron’s private chamber. They then left straight for Sundering Valley after coming out of Ron’s estate, and it didn’t take long for them to arrive. Ryan’s family was pleasantly surprised when they came to know that Cris had been successful in forming an Equal contract with the young Night Fury Bird.

Many in Sundering Valley were shocked as they’d been expecting Cris to fail. Alchemist Hon was one of them, and he looked at Cris with a murderous expression as he left Sundering Valley in anger.

Many looked at Cris in a different light, seeing as he was able to form an Equal contract with a Night Fury Bird. Sheldon, Danr and Brian personally came forward to congratulate him which made everyone green with envy. Caius had already sent a Mental-message transmission to Ryan informing him about it, and Ryan was elated: he was truly happy for Cris.

Ryan was feeling giddy deep down as he got the updates from Sundering Valley via Caius. He was very happy with the way things had turned out. The thing that made him the happiest was the fact that Cris got an opportunity to attempt forming an Equal contract with the young Night Fury Bird and he was successful in it.

Ryan had a big smile on his face as he looked at his new Soul beast who was peacefully sleeping while enveloped in Unholy black light. After about three days the Unholy black light disappeared and the Metallic Hell Dragon slowly opened his eyes. His eyes were no longer golden, but red-colored. Ryan could already tell that the Metallic Hell Dragon had gained Asura Physique. The Metallic Hell Dragon looked at Ryan with happiness as his bloodline purity had reached Original-grade.
