His lips playfully nibbled down her neck. "Are you sure?"
"Never more about anything in my life. Ryan Ford, I love you."
"Even though you see what I am?"
"But, I already know what you are. A strong, creative, considerate being that I will love until time ends."
Something flew overhead. Surely that woman hadn’t nosed into their privacy again.
Ryan’s chest tensed against hers.
If this was how that busy-body Solange planned to carry out her mother-in-law role, she had another thing coming.
Something caught Jess’s eye as it floated to the ground beside them.
"A feather?"
His face beamed. "From Mother. She won’t bother us again. Except advice on decorating the nursery. She loves a tidy nest."
Jess’s laughter rose over the forest hush. "I’m all for a few concessions. Just not green walls. I don’t like green."
"I’ll make a note. Now, future mate, may I give you a proper kiss?"
"Proper is not exactly what I see in our immediate future."
Jess slipped off the jacket, laid it on the soft leaf bed, and gently pulled him down beside her.
"And just what do you see?" He asked.
Her kiss was all the answer he needed.
