Magical Curves Page 11

  “He was,” he agreed.

“Why aren’t you looking at me like I’m nuts?”

He allowed her body to slide down his until her feet touched the floor. “Because you’re not nuts.”

Walking away from her, he figured she’d figure it out soon enough.

“He was a prince!” Her tone bordered on hysterical.

  “He was. He isn’t anymore.”

“Kayden?” The question was soft and he turned to face her.

Bringing up the box he’d offered her in a palace in a magical world, he met her gaze. “I asked once and you denied me but it was after I’d already taken you as a wife. I’m hoping this time you’ll give it a bit more consideration. Emily, will you marry me, spend your life with me, be my lover, friend, mother to my children?”

She sucked in a breath, shoving her fist to her mouth. “You’re Kayden.”

  “I’m Kayden.”

  “You’re here.”

  “I’m here.”

“It’s not a dream. But—” She waved her hands as if frustrated. “You have a kingdom to run and, yeah, I know this part sounds over the moon crazy, but—”

“My father woke up, if you remember correctly. He’s perfectly able to run the kingdom. If he dies, well, others will happily step up to the throne.”

“Why would you give that up?”

“For you. I’ll go wherever you want to be. If that means we live in this magic-less world, so be it. Where you go, I go. I love you. If I can never make you believe that world is our reality, so be it. I’ll come to the world you believe in. If that is what you need to commit to me, to love me, I will do it, my Emily. I put the kingdom before you and I regret it. Give me this. We can make a life together—”

She sat down, hard, right in the middle of the floor. “It’s real. You’re real. All those memories—”

  “Are yours,” he agreed.

Walking on his knees, he caught her elbows. “Will you marry me?”

  “Dammit, Kayden, I already did.”

He smiled, “Now you remember it.”

“I never forgot, you ass. I just thought—”

  “I was a dream.”

“Yeah.” She seemed to be thinking before she grabbed the collar of his shirt with both hands. “You fucking did this on purpose? Made me fall in love with you all over again?”

Touching her hair, he whispered, “I wasn’t sure you believed you loved me the first time.”

“Dammit, of course I did.” Plunging at him, she took his lips, demanded his response. With a flick of her wrist, he was naked and didn’t mind one bit.

“So, you’ll marry me?” He laughed.

“I already did. Make love to me, husband, and then you can take us back home.”

Capturing her breast in his mouth he suckled, her gasp his reward. He pushed her backwards, pinning her body with his, the long days of hunger finally freed from prison. Racing his hands across her skin, she seemed to flow into his touch.

Then her hands found his cock and he gritted his teeth at the sudden pleasure of it. Rocking his hips into that touch, he allowed his magic to gather on his fingertips before slipping them between the folds of her flesh to toy with the hard bud of her clit.

Her cry was swallowed by him as he bent to kiss her again, his tongue echoing each thrust of his hips in her hand.

Guiding him gently, he felt his cock touch the warm moisture between her legs and he sighed when she stroked his balls before he thrust inside her.

“Kayden!” Her nails dug into his back, ecstasy written on her face as she panted for him. “Take me home.”

With a thought, they lay on his bed, silver framing her face on the pillow.

Pumping inside her, the dance sped, his passion trying to break free of his control, but he held on…

Had to hold on until she shattered.

Her legs quaked, her eyes closed as she climbed higher with him, as the pleasure threatened to tug them under.

“Fuck,” she whispered. “I’m almost…” She trailed off, breathing hard and writhing for him. He slowed his motion, rocking in a circle until those eyes opened, power obvious in her gaze. She cried out his name again as she shuddered and her legs shook.

Giving in to his own needs, he allowed himself to topple over that jagged peak, feeling her muscles clenching his cock as her orgasm brought his own.

Finally, he lay, breathing hard, her in his arms and the night breeze trailing in the window cooling the sweat that soaked him.

“Dude, I can’t believe you’ve been lying to me.”

She smacked his shoulder and he turned his head to meet her gaze. “It’s not a lie. My last name is Drake.”

“Draco. So I suppose you think we’re just going to live happily ever after now?”

He grinned. “Yes. You’re sure you want to be here, though?”

“Um, yeah. I have way better clothes here.”

He pinched her ass and she laughed. “So, we’re real.”

  “Yup.”

“I get to keep you forever?”

He grinned. “There are days that you’re going to wish I said no, I promise … but yes, you can keep me forever.”

Her eyes closed and she smiled. “In that case, it’s my turn to be on top.”

  “As you wish…”
