With a wide smile on her face, she opens her legs wider, and I help strip her of her jeans and thong. I know exactly what I want to do, and by the gasp I hear from Maisy, she wasn’t expecting my tongue to lick along her sensitive flesh and flick her clit and back down again. I repeat my movements over and over, ignoring the pain as Maisy grabs onto my hair.
“Max, I’m going to come,” she whimpers, and it only spurs me on more.
I grip her waist from under her ass as I dig my tongue deeper, growling as Maisy screams her release.
Wiping my mouth along her thigh, I gently pick her up. I laugh because as her body is still limp from her orgasm as I carry her up the stairs. Not because she can’t make her own way to the bedroom, but because I need to be inside of her right now, and I want her to be in her bed, not on the sofa. Even though I need to be careful with her, I don’t think I will be able to hold back. I’ve craved her and lusted after her for two months. I need her now.
I lay her down on the bed and strip, and she looks up at me while taking off her top and bra. Once we’re both naked, I crawl on top of her and show her just how much I’ve missed being inside of her.
Chapter Twenty Seven
Maisy
A couple of weeks later, its Girl’s Day and I’m so excited. Sophie suggested having it over at my house, but I stood my ground. I wanted to get out of the house, so we all agreed on Tanya’s place. I’m finally able to walk a little more on my own now that my legs are becoming stronger, but only with the crutches the hospital has made me use. However, Max, being Max, didn’t want me using the ones they usually provide for their patients, so he had a pair custom-made for me. I must admit that I’m really glad he did. They’re black with pink sparkling detailing. He really does know how to cheer me up because whenever I use them, they bring a smile to face.
Max parks in front of Tanya and Leo’s house and quickly gets out of the car. I open my door and slowly stand, careful not to push myself too much, because I don’t want to send myself back. I hear Max shut the boot of the car, and then he’s by my side immediately.
“Maisy, what the hell are you doing?” he shouts at me, leaning my crutches up against the car.
“Will you relax? I’m fine.” I answer annoyed.
Max shakes his head at me. “I was going to help you. I just wanted to get your crutches first.”
“I know you were, but I’m capable of getting out of the car on my own thank you very much.”
“You’re amazing, you know that?” He kisses me hard, backing me up against the car.
“Excuse me? But it’s “girls only” today!” I hear Tanya laugh from the doorway. Her baby bump is now noticeable under her clothes, and she looks adorable in her ‘Hands off the Bump’ shirt.
Max grins and hands me my crutches, letting me walk by myself to Tanya’s door. When I get inside, I turn to wave good-bye to him, and he gives me a wink before getting back into the car and driving away. The guys are all spending the day over at Jax’s with all the kids. How I would love to be a fly on the wall over there!
When I get into the living room, I see that all the girls, including Tilly, are already here.
“You two are so adorable,” Sophie gushes from the window.
The others aren’t standing too far away from her, so I’m guessing they were all spying.
“I still can’t believe you’re together,” Kendal says as she hugs me.
“I know! But we all saw it, and it’s clear to see you’re great for each other,” Tilly adds as she gives me a rather big welcome hug.
My legs are starting to feel a little shaky, so I sit down on the sofa, and the rest follow.
“I’m so glad you’re okay.” Tanya speaks quietly.
When I look at her, I see her eyes have a shine to them. “I said no more tears, Tan. I’m fine now.”
Whenever we speak about it, we all end up in tears, so I don’t like to rehash the accident and my recovery. Even though I’m happy that I’m healing, and now able to start walking again, there’re both the physical and psychological scars that keep lingering.
“We just care about you, honey,” Sophie adds. “We were so worried, so when we see you looking happy, we’re just very relieved.”
The others nod, and when I see their faces, it brings tears to my own eyes. Damn it!
“I am happy,” I answer. “I really am.”
“Have you heard from Lauren?” Tilly asks with a harshness to her voice.
“No, my mum rang yesterday, though, asking if I would talk with her. Apparently, she’s worried about her because Lauren seems down all the time, and she thinks talking to me will change that.”
Kendal’s eyes widen. “What? You’re the one going through a tough time, and yet she’s still worrying over Lauren?”
“Doesn’t surprise me.” Tanya shakes her head.
They begin the usual girl chat, but for some reason I can’t get into it. I think the mention of Lauren has shaken me, and I’m just sitting here staring off into space. Last night, I had a horrible dream that involved Lauren and Max. It was the night of the Decoy gig, just before the accident when I caught Lauren all over Max. Only this time it wasn’t the same...this time, when I caught them, they were having sex, and you could see Lauren’s perfect legs. Max was gliding his hands over them, and I heard him say, “I love your perfect legs. Not a mark on them.”
I woke up sweating so much I had to get right into the bath. Before the accident, I always took a shower, but now that I get shaky on my legs, I have a bath all the time. I used to love having them on a Friday night after work. The hot, steamy bubble bath was perfect after a week’s worth of work, but now I hate them, and I want my showers back.
“Are you ok Mase?” Jessica asks from beside me.
“I’m fine,” I quickly answer back.
“You don’t look so good.” Sophie frowns at me.
“Mase?” Tanya asks. “What’s wrong?”
As soon as Tanya asks that question, the tears fall, and they stream down my face. Tanya quickly sits down on my other side and wraps her arms around me. This makes me cry harder.
“Honey, what’s wrong?”
“My legs,” I cry. “I hate my legs.”
“What? Why?” Tilly asks.
“I thought they were getting stronger?” Jessica asks.
“That’s not it, it’s how they look,” I cry, hiding my face in Tanya’s shoulder some more, but she holds me back.
“Maisy, calm down and tell us what the matter is.”
I take in some calming breaths. “My legs are covered in scars. I hate them!”
“Don’t be silly,” she scolds.
“I’m not, they’re ugly!” I wipe at my face. “Why does Max want me with scars as ugly as these? He will find someone else soon, someone with gorgeous, slim, perfect legs.”
“Now stop talking rubbish!” Kendal shouts.
“Kendal is right!” Jessica adds. “That man is crazy about you.”
“You two need to talk about this.” Tanya smoothes the hair from my tearstained face away. “Emotions like these aren’t healthy to bottle up. Believe me, I know.”
“I don’t think I can.” I answer.
“Yes, you can, and you will. He will tell you exactly what you need to hear, and if he’s the man I know he is he will show you just how much he loves you and those legs of yours.”
This makes me giggle, and after some more reassuring from the girls, I enjoy the rest of my day with them. By the time Max comes to take me home, I know Tanya is right. I need to tell Max my insecurities about my scars.
***
I watch Max as he makes me a hot chocolate and decide this is the right time.
“Max, do you think I’m damaged?”
This makes him stop what he’s doing, and he turns around to face me. The expression on his face is enough to tell me the answer because he looks like I’ve asked him the most stupid question that exists.
“What the fuck are you talking
about?” He asks me.
I take in a deep breath to gather my courage. “My scars are ugly,” I simply say.
“Don’t be so stupid, woman!” he shouts back.
Suddenly, he lifts me and carries me to the sofa. When he lays me down, he rips down my leggings.
“Max!” Tears start to spring to my eyes. “Max,” I plead.
When my leggings are thrown on the floor, Max looks down at my legs, and I look away with embarrassment. I feel his hands rub my scarred skin.
“Look at me,” he asks gently. “Maisy, please...”
When I look at him, he shakes his head at me. “Nothing about you is damaged or ugly. You are beautiful, and what you have had to deal with lately...” He closes his eyes for a couple of seconds and then looks back down at me, rubbing my legs again with his warm hands. “You’re such a strong woman, and I adore you for it.”
He leans over me, kissing my face, then down my neck, until he kneels in front of me when he gets to my legs.
“As far as I’m concerned, I love these scars.” He looks up at me through his dark lashes, his voice thick with emotion and then goes back to softly kissing my legs.
“Now you’re talking rubbish.” I wipe away my fallen tears. He can’t possibly mean that.
Max stops kissing my legs. “No, because these scars remind me of the fact that I nearly lost you. They will remind me how grateful I am that you’re still here with me every day, because without you Maisy, I don’t know what I’d fucking do.”
His voice catches as he speaks his touching words.
“Make love to me,” I ask.
Max gives me a kiss on the lips and then stands, tearing off his trousers and boxers as quickly as I’ve ever seen him. When his cock is free and ready for action, Max holds my legs and wraps them around his waist. With my back still lying on the sofa, this makes my pelvis arch, and when Max thrusts into me, I moan loudly from the sensation. My eyes roll so far back as he pounds into me again and again, but I know he’s holding back on me. He’s afraid to hurt me.
“Oh god!” I scream as he fucks me faster.
Max looks down at me with such fierce eyes, I very nearly come right there and then! He may not have his shirt off , hiding that drool-worthy chest of his, but with his shirt on, I watch as his arms bulge from the sleeves and cling to his abs. My mouth waters as I want to lick him, along all the deep ridges and then down to his hard cock. However, I can’t voice this because my mouth is too busy moaning and groaning as Max fucks me hard, my eyes rolling back so much I see blackness.
I feel his thumb as he plays with my clit, making me shudder under him.
“Come, Maisy,” he growls. “Come all over my cock now!”
His words make me obey and I shatter all over him.
Chapter Twenty Eight
Maisy
The next morning, after our large breakfast, there’s a knock on the door.
“I’ll get it,” I tease, because I know Max won’t let me.
“No, you won’t,” he grumbles, and quickly stands from the sofa. As soon as he opens the front door, his mood dramatically changes. “What the fuck are you doing here?”
I turn my head to see who he’s talking to, but his large frame blocks my view.
“You need to go,” he orders.
“Maisy!” I hear Lauren shout, and I start to panic. I haven’t seen her since I saw her all over Max. “Please, Mase! Let me in and we can talk,” she begs.
She continues to beg, and Max tells her to fuck off. I can’t go on ignoring her, though. She’s my sister, after all, and I want to know why she did what she did.
“Let her in,” I say quietly, and Max turns to face me.
“Are you serious?” I nod my head. “Are you forgetting what she did?”
“No, but we have to talk about it.” I make space beside me on the sofa. “Leave us to it, please?” I ask him, and he shakes his head. “Max, please?”
He sighs and lets Lauren in. It looks like it is killing him inside to do so. “I’ll be upstairs,” he says to me and then turns to Lauren. “Don’t you fucking upset her.”
He says it with such force, I’m a little worried for Lauren. Max gives me a gentle kiss before leaving the room, giving me and my sister some privacy. Although, I know he’s going to be listening in, but I appreciate him giving me some space with Lauren at least.
Lauren closes the door behind her and cautiously makes her way over to the sofa beside me.
“How are you?” she asks, and I almost laugh.
“Seriously, Lauren? That’s how you’re going to start?”
“What? It’s an honest question.”
“It’s been three months since the accident, and I haven’t seen you!”
“I tried to call you, but you never answered.”
“So a text is the next best thing?”
“I wasn’t allowed to see you. Your friends made sure I wasn’t.”
I wasn’t aware of this, but I don’t feel any less angry at Lauren.
“Look, if you wanted to really see me, you could have. You’re my sister, for fuck’s sake. Maybe if you had acted like one, they wouldn’t have stood in your way. Those friends of mine you like to bitch about are more my family than you are. Yes, I’m fine, and I’m able to start walking now just so you know.”
Tears appear in her eyes as she nods her head. I fight to not roll my eyes. Tears, Lauren, seriously?
“I’m so glad you’re okay,” she whimpers. “I was so worried about you, Mase.”
I nod my head because I don’t know what else to do. I don’t want to comfort her.
“Why did you come here, Lauren?” That may have sound bitchy, but I need to know.
Her sobbing suddenly stops. “To see you.”
“That’s it? You don’t have anything else to say?”
“About what?” she asks, and my kindness evaporates.
“Lauren! You are so far up your ass, you don’t even know it!” Lauren’s eyes widen but I carry on. “You’re here to clear your fucking conscience but you’re too pussy to come out and say it.”
“This has to do with Max?”
“Yes, it has to do with Max.”
“You have him now, so don’t worry about it.” She shrugs her shoulders and looks down to the floor. I don’t know if I should believe her innocent game or not.
And here comes the real Lauren, the side of her she hides but she never fools me.
“Oh, honey, I know I have him, and I have nothing to worry about where you’re concerned. The reason I’m pissed at you is because you knew!” I take a deep breath in. “You saw what was going on between me and Max! So you did what you do best: you stepped in and tried to come between us, and you nearly succeeded, but not by getting Max for yourself. You nearly separated me from Max by killing me!”
Lauren’s eyes go wide as she gasps. “How can you say that?”
“Because it’s the fucking truth!” I scream at her, and I start to hear Max coming back down the stairs. “If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t have been in that accident.”
Lauren scowls. “How do you work that one out?”
OH MY GOD!
“If you weren’t so concentrated on coming between me and Max, then I wouldn’t have run out and nearly gotten myself killed!”
“I didn’t mean to,” she starts to cry.
“But you did.” I say in a flat tone of voice.
Max appears in the living and, he looks pissed. “OK, time to go.”
Lauren flings herself onto me, wrapping her arms around me. “I’m so sorry, Maisy. I love you so much. Please forgive me!”
She starts to sob so loudly in my arms. I look over her head and see Max frowning down at her.
“I think you need to go, Lauren.” Max orders.
She nods her head, stands, and I follow. She hugs me one last time and I go upstairs.
“Where are you going?” Lauren asks, sounding a little panicked, and I don’t blame her by the look on Max
’s face.
“I have to go pee,” I answer. At least that gets me a smile from Max, but he doesn’t let Lauren see that.
I do have to go to the toilet, but I also think that Max and Lauren need a little chat. Max holds a lot of anger towards Lauren, and I’m not completely sure Lauren has been honest with herself where Max is concerned.
After I’ve done my business and given them an extra five minutes, I decide it’s time to go back downstairs. I was fully expecting Lauren to have gone by now, but instead I overhear her.
“Well, now it won’t be hard for you to choose Max.”
“What the fuck are you talking about now, Lauren?” He sounds tired.
“Now that Maisy is damaged goods, the choice between us is easy.” I can’t fucking believe this bitch!
“You better go Lauren.” Max answers with fury evident in his voice.
“Besides, Maisy is a cripple now. She won’t be any use to you anymore. She has a pretty face, but I am the complete package, and my legs work properly.” She giggles, and I’m about to storm down when Max’s voice stops me.
“I’ve heard enough of your fucking shit!” he shouts. “She’s your sister, and you treat her like shit! Why the fuck did you just fake that shit with her before she left? I’m not interested in you, Lauren, and you need to get that straight in your fucking head! I love your sister, she’s it for me, and you never will be.”
I hear nothing but silence now, so I decide to continue down the stairs.
“As far as I’m concerned, you are not my sister anymore.” Both Max and Lauren turn to look at me. They’re still standing by at the front door, Max holding the door open, obviously wanting Lauren to go. “Get the fuck out of my house and don’t fucking come back!”
At this, she frowns at both me and Max and leaves. Max slams the door behind her and wraps me in his arms. I know my sister is a bitch, but how can she talk about me like that?
“You all good, Moo?”
I nod into his chest. I’m the best I’ve ever been. Safe and warm in Max’s arms and knowing I have my friends behind me. I couldn’t feel any better than I am right now.
