“Watch your language,” he scolded and pulled back. He landed a stinging smack on her clit.
The sting stunned Tempest into silence but was enough to push her over into an orgasm that caused her to shake uncontrollably.
“That was five.” He growled as he watched her orgasm.
Devin stood quickly to his feet and hastily unfastened his pants. He let them fall to the floor and shoved his cock into her still-spasming pussy. His breath caught in his throat as he slowly but steadily pushed into her heat. Once the head of his cock kissed her cervix, he gave her a minute to adjust before he started pounding into her slick channel.
Tempest braced her hands on the edge of his desk and gripped his lean hips with her knees. He was fucking her hard and fast. It was mind blowing. His thrusts hit her G-spot every time while his pelvic bone smacked her clit with each thrust.
With all the stimulation, it didn’t take long for her to scream out her orgasm, followed immediately by Devin. She shivered as she felt his seed splash her walls. Tempest had her arms around Devin’s neck and was gripping his hips with her thighs. Devin had his arms around her waist and his forehead was resting between her breasts.
Once Devin caught his breath he looked up at Tempest. “Do you have plans for the weekend?” he asked as he ran his lips across her sweaty skin.
“Not at the moment,” she said and sighed.
“I want you to spend the weekend with me again,” he whispered and nibbled her earlobe.
“That shouldn’t be a problem,” she whispered breathlessly.
“Thank God,” Devin groaned as he pulled the cups of her corset down, exposing her pert pink nipples. Just the sight of those lush melons had his mouth watering and his cock hardening in the haven that was her pussy.
He sucked one of her nipples into his mouth while he palmed the other. He shifted his hips back slightly and slowly pushed back into her heat. He made slow love to her on top of his desk. In their previous times together, he was so caught up that he didn’t take the time to savor her. He took his time and took in every nuance of her. The way she moved. The way she sounded. He took in everything. She was all his.
He took long slow strokes into and out of her body. He took the time to build up their pleasure so that the release would be like touching the stars. It was a slow, sweet ride, and Tempest had wrapped her arms and legs around him by the time their pleasure was at its peak. She was shaking and sweating next to his skin.
He leaned into her and took her rounded hips in his hands and changed the angle of his strokes.
“Come for me, baby,” he whispered next to her lips and gave a sigh of satisfaction when her pussy tightened over his cock. He grunted quietly as he spilled his seed in her grasping channel.
He fell into his chair, completely boneless, and brought Tempest down and into his lap as well. His cock was softening, but it remained inside her. She was an amazing woman. They sat in his chair clinging to each other as the euphoria passed.
“We’ve got to get dressed,” Devin said with a sad sigh.
Tempest couldn’t hold in her giggle at the entire situation. “I never thought I would hear those words while I was working,” she said and laughed again as she got up out of Devin’s lap and went to grab her clothes.
They were both back at work by the time Susan came back from lunch. Tempest was elbow-deep in her ones and zeroes, and Devin was having a rather heated discussion with one of his security team. It struck Tempest as odd but comforting. She liked working with Devin. It had many interesting surprises.
Chapter 6
Tempest had never been so excited. She had been seeing Devin for over a month. It had been amazing so far. They had fun together, and the sex was mind blowing. He might have started out as an asshole but had quickly become a wonderful man. Tempest found herself falling quickly head over heels in love with him. Every time she saw him, her heart did a lovely little flutter in her chest. She found herself excited to go to work at his office every day because she would get to see him.
She had spent every weekend since that first one during the rain storm at Devin’s house. They talked, laughed, and explored together. Tempest couldn’t remember a time when she had been so happy. She looked at herself in the mirror, making sure she looked okay. Devin had promised to take her out somewhere special for her birthday. She was beyond excited about her evening out with him.
They had gone out plenty of times before, but this time she had good news for him. She had found the malicious coding in his company’s mainframe. She had been able to remove the code and set up extra electronic security to help prevent further intrusions in the future. She had been saving the good news all day and was about to burst at the seams to let him know.
He had asked her to dress formal for their night out. She had gone shopping for the occasion and found the perfect red dress. It had a form-fitting bodice that was decorated with beads. The skirt was chiffon and draped perfectly over her rounded hips. It showed off her figure perfectly. It was also his favorite color. She had been ecstatic when she had found it and bought it on the spot with no questions asked.
Her hair and makeup were done, and now all she had to do was sit and wait for Devin. She looked at the clock and groaned. She had two hours to wait for him to come and pick her up. Sometimes she cursed her army training and her obsessive need to be early or on time. She had been so nervous she didn’t realize that she had finished way too early. She decided to take off the dress and put on some of her more comfortable clothes to wait in. She could put the dress back on just before he got to her house. She rushed back to her room to get the dress off, her nerves a jumbled mass. She had to laugh. She hadn’t been this nervous the first time she had deployed.
She was just wiggling the dress over her hips when her phone rang.
“Hello.”
“Hey, baby. How are you this evening?” Devin’s smooth voice came over the phone.
“I’m fine just sitting around and waiting. I’ve got a hot date tonight.”
“Really! I hope he isn’t a complete ass.”
“He kinda is, but the sex is really hot, so I overlook the annoying bits,” she said with a giggle.
“You know I’m gonna have to punish you for that later right,” he said, his voice husky.
“Mmmm, you always say the sweetest things,” Tempest purred into the phone.
“I aim to please,” he said and chuckled, but Tempest could tell that something was up because of his hesitant tone.
“Is something wrong?” she asked.
He let out a heavy sigh. “We had a security breach today. Someone actually broke into one of the buildings. The security system was tampered with, and we can’t tell who it was or what they did,” he said and Tempest could hear the tension in his voice.
“I’m really sorry. Do we need to reschedule so you can deal with things at the office?” she asked sincerely.
“No, baby, we’re not going to cancel. I did want to ask if I could just meet you at Michelangelo’s instead of coming by to pick you up. I’m going to be rushing as it is, and I don’t want us to miss our reservations,” he said with a resigned sigh.
“Sure, that isn’t a problem.” She paused and smiled. “So Michelangelo’s was the big secret?”
“Yeah, that’s part of it, and I’m really sorry about this. I’m spoiling your birthday.”
“Oh don’t be so silly. You’re not ruining anything. You’re the CEO of a rather large security firm, and that comes with problems. I understand, and it isn’t an issue. So no worries, just be careful.”
“Have I told you how perfect you are?” he asked with a chuckle.
“Yes but feel free to tell me again.”
“You’re perfect,” he said in a husky tone.
“I know. Thank you for reconfirming it for me. I don’t want you to think you’re completely off the hook though. I expect to be compensated well for this little inconvenience,” she said in a haughty tone.
“Mm
mm and what would you like for compensation, baby?” he asked, his voice thick with lust.
“Orgasms. Lots and lots of orgasms with none of the ‘you can’t come until I tell you to,’” she said, mimicking his voice…poorly.
“You’re no fun,” Devin said, obviously pouting.
“Pump your brakes and don’t get your jockstrap in a twist. I’m not finished yet,” she said with mock irritation.
“Forgive me, madam. Please continue.”
“I know it’s my birthday, but I thought I would give us both a present…so to speak.”
“And?” Devin asked impatiently.
Tempest gave a throaty chuckle at his impatience. “I want you to tie me up to that big bed of yours, blindfold me, and have your wicked way with my body,” she whispered in a sultry voice.
“Jesus!” Devin hissed.
“Can you do that for me?” she cooed.
“Abso-fuckin-lutely. I’ll be at the restaurant as soon as I can,” he croaked.
“Mmmm, I’m happy to hear it. Don’t keep me waiting, lover,” she purred into the phone.
“Yes, ma’am,” Devin answered and hung up the phone.
Tempest couldn’t help but laugh. It was going to be one hell of a night!
Her phone rang and her smile died as she looked at the caller ID.
“Hello, Lizzie, how have you been?” she asked, surprised.
“I’ve been horrible and it’s all your fault,” Lizzie snapped.
“I’m sorry to hear that Lizzie but I fail to see how it is my fault,” she said with a roll of her eyes.
“I don’t have any money,” Lizzie said with a pout.
“I’m still failing to see how it’s my fault.”
“You won’t give me any money! You have control of the trust funds and you hog all the money for yourself!” Lizzie screamed into the phone.
“Lizzie, I don’t know how many times I have to tell you this but I don’t have control of the trust funds. The lawyers still control that,” Tempest said with a resigned sigh.
“You could get me more money you just don’t want too,” her sister whined into the receiver.
“I can’t get you more money. If that’s what you want then you need to talk to the law firm that controls the fund.”
“I’ve already talked to them.”
“And what did they say?”
“They said no.”
“Then I can’t help you, Lizzie. I’m sorry.”
“You’re sorry! You’re sorry! You’re going to be sorry.” She growled and then hung up.
Tempest groaned and scrubbed her hand over her face. “This night started out with such promise,” she said to the empty room.

Devin sped up into his driveway and parked his car, not even bothering to pull it up into the garage. He threw open the door and slipped, almost busting his ass on the hard floors. He looked down and saw a manila envelope that looked like it had been forced under the door. He hastily picked it up and opened it. The breath froze in his chest as he examined the contents.
It looked like surveillance photos. Surveillance photos of Tempest. They were photos of her with her best friend Elaine, photos of her and him, photos of her leaving her house, photos of her leaving his house, photos of her on post, photos of her at his office, photos of her in town shopping. They were all photos of Tempest. Dread crept up his spine, and he was jolted out of his shock when his home phone rang.
He walked to the phone almost numb and picked it up.
“H–hello,” he stuttered a little.
“Mr. Maddox, I trust you have found our photos,” a mechanical voice said.
“Yes,” he said, his hands going clammy.
“We expect your full cooperation or there will be consequences.”
Devin closed his eyes against what was happening. He was finally happy. How come it was getting so fucked up now when it was all so perfect?
“What do you want?” he croaked.
“You will stop all research and development of the new MARs software. You will also cut off all ties with your little military whore,” the mechanical voice said and gave a cruel laugh. “If these requests are not immediately met, there will be consequences. You never know what will happen.”
Devin stood frozen to his floor, and then there was an ear-splitting explosion. He ran to his front door once his ears stopped ringing and found his little black sports car going up in a blaze of glory. His gut clenched, and his heart was ripped in two.
“It would be a shame if something like that happened to your precious Tempest. Wouldn’t it, Mr. Maddox?”
“I swear I’ll do everything and anything you want. Just don’t hurt her. Please, I’m begging you. Just don’t hurt her!” he said on a choked sob.
“I’m glad you see it our way, Mr. Maddox. Take care of it…tonight,” the mechanical voice said menacingly.
The line went dead, and all there was on the other end was the dial tone.
Devin stared at his destroyed car in utter shock. Once the full weight of it hit him, he hit his knees and he wept. He was going to have to hurt the love of his life in an unimaginable way, and she was going to hate him. She was never going to forgive him for this. Even if he could find out who was threatening them, she was going to hate him. He felt like he heart was going to stop beating. His world had crumbled in one day, and he was never going to be the same. He could do nothing but weep out his sorrow and heartache.

Tempest sat at their reserved table and looked at her watch again. Devin was late. He wasn’t really late, but she was starting to get uncomfortable sitting in such a nice restaurant by herself. Her foot was twitching nervously under the table, and she had started worrying the fabric of her nice dress skirt.
She gave a startled squeak when her cell phone rang. She looked at it and sighed in relief when she saw it was Devin calling.
“Hey, are you on your way?” she asked in greeting.
“I’m not coming,” Devin said.
The harshness of his voice caused Tempest to flinch, and the butterflies in her stomach began kamikaze dives in her stomach.
“Okay, is everything all right?” she asked, her mouth going dry.
“No it isn’t, Tempest. We’re over. I don’t want to see you again. I will call General Westin and have you taken off of the assignment with Maddox Inc.,” he said, his voice cold and harsh still.
“I–I–I don’t understand,” she stuttered into the phone, trying to hold her tears at bay.
“What part of ‘it’s over’ are you having trouble with, Tempest? I don’t ever want to see you again,” he shouted into the phone.
Tears swam in front of her eyes and threatened to spill down her cheeks. “P–p–please don’t do this. Don’t leave me,” she said quietly into the phone as a single tear slid down her cheek.
“It’s over, Tempest. Don’t ever contact me again,” he said with a menacing growl and hung up the phone.
She held her phone to her ear even after he had hung up. She tried to breathe, but she couldn’t get her lungs to expand. The tears escaped unchecked from her eyes and down her cheeks. She sat at the table for a while just trying to process what had happened. She slowly stood and walked numbly from the restaurant as the other patrons watched her.
She suddenly found herself at her house. She didn’t really remember getting there. She stripped out of her beautiful dress and left it lying in a heap on the floor. She climbed into the shower and washed what should have been such a special night away. She got out of the shower, and it finally smacked her in the face. It was like being hit with cold steel. The love of her life had just left her.
The nausea hit her violently, and she lunged for the toilet. She lost the contents of her stomach as she realized what had just happened. The tears broke free, and her body was racked with sobs. She lay naked on her bathroom floor and cried. She cried for what seemed like hours before she literally crawled to her bed and got under he
r covers. She cried herself to sleep.
She awoke the next morning, and the tears started again. Her phone rang, but she ignored it. She didn’t want to talk to anyone. She just wanted to sit in her house and never leave. She just wanted it all to go away.
She wasn’t sure how much time had passed, but there was a pounding on her door. She didn’t move. She didn’t call out. She just lay in bed. The knocking stopped, and she heard movement in her house. She didn’t even roll over to look and see who it was.
“Temp, honey? I’ve been calling you since last night. What’s going on?” Elaine questioned softly.
She walked around the bed and saw the look on Tempest’s face. She didn’t even have to ask. She knew exactly what had happened. She crawled into the other side of the bed and held her friend close. Her heart shattered as her best friend’s body shook with the sobs that were recognizable by women the world over. Tempest’s heart was broken. No, it wasn’t just broken. It was shattered.
“Shhh, honey, it’ll be okay. I promise it will be okay,” Elaine said soothingly to her friend as she ran her hands over Tempest’s hair.
They laid like that in the bed for what seemed like hours before Tempest was able to talk.
“Honey, tell me what happened?” Elaine questioned softly.
“I was waiting in the restaurant for him when he called. H–h–h–he told me it was over. He told me he never wanted to see me again and never to contact him,” Tempest stuttered in a small voice with intermittent sobs.
“Did he say why?” Elaine asked.
“No, he didn’t say why, but, Elaine, he was so cruel when he spoke to me. I don’t know what happened. I thought things were going so well. I was such a fool,” she said as sobs wracked her body.
“Oh, honey, I’m so sorry.”
“I don’t know what to do. How am I supposed to get over this?”
“I know it might not seem like it now, but you will eventually get over this. It is going to take some time, but you will be okay,” Elaine said firmly as only a best friend could do.
