She looked up and gasped. “Lt. Sage.”
He turned to look at her. “Yeah, bitch, it’s me. I am so sick of having to guard you filthy humans. You should all be exterminated.”
If he’d shown her his face, then he wasn’t planning on keeping her alive long. God, she wished she’d had one more moment alone with Quinn to tell him how much she loved him and how he made her life worth living.
“I don’t get it. We, we didn’t ask you to come to our planet. Why do you hate us so much?”
“Years, we’ve been away from Drasta for years. It’s time to go home, but we can’t do that while guarding your asses from others who would come here and enslave you.”
She got to her feet slowly. “Why not leave, then?”
“Exactly what our people have been trying to say but the commander refuses to leave. He’s got it in his head that he can make the two factions on Earth see reason. I don’t give a fuck. I just want to go home. I say let the humans kill each other; it would save us all a headache. Now we have to report back that the commander is still alive.”
He looked over at the other man. “You can take the helmet off. She’s not going to live long enough to tell anyone who you really are.”
The other man walked toward her and put his back to Sage. Then he reached up and started to remove his helmet. She recognized who he was half a second before he swung out with the helmet, hitting Sage on the side of the head.
“Quinn,” she whispered, grateful that he was alive and well.
The lift stopped suddenly, shaking them, and the door opened. Quinn grabbed her arm and shoved her out the door. “Go!”
No, she didn’t want to leave him. She watched as Sage tackled him. “Quinn!”
She tried to rush back inside but strong arms wrapped around her and pulled her away. The doors closed. “No!” She struggled trying to break free. “Let me go!”
“Lihali, calm yourself.”
She froze. “Tagar?”
“Yes, it is okay.”
She calmed down and he released her. “Quinn needs help.”
“He’s got this. I need to get you to safety. Come with me.” He put his arm around her shoulders to walk her down the corridor. “I’m so sorry. I was on my way back up to the mediko to get you and bring you to a secured location when Jared sent out the alert that the mediko was under attack. Then Captain Estro contacted me to tell me to wait for you here. They have control of the lifts and are taking them up to a level where more security is waiting.”
“Where are we going?”
“There’s an empty set of quarters close by I’ll set you up in while we wait.”
God, she hated waiting, but she had no choice. She prayed that Quinn would be okay. He; he had to be.
Chapter 20
Quinn punched Lt. Sage once more square in the jaw, making the male fall back and hit the wall before sliding to the floor unconscious. The lift stopped and the doors opened. He turned and looked at three warriors rushing in.
“Take him to lockup.”
“Yes sir.”
He hit his communicator. “Liam, where is she?”
“Are you okay, Quinn?”
“Yes. Sage is being taken to lockup. I need to check on my amahala.”
“She’s with Lt. Orti on level six, quarters sixty-three.”
Quinn hit the button for level six on the lift. “How are Uncle Devlon and Jared?”
“They’re both pissed off that they were taken by surprise but uninjured.”
“I’ll stop by to see them after—”
“Don’t. Just, just stay with your amahala. Father is going to have to make an announcement to the fleet explaining your part in all this.”
“I don’t care what others think.”
“I understand, but it will affect Squirrel—”
He growled at hearing that offensive name.
“I know, I know—don’t call her that. Do us all a favor; help her pick a new name that we can call her by. Until then she is my new sister. Take care of her.”
“Thanks Liam.” He ended his communication as the door to the lift opened. Quinn walked quickly down the corridor to get to his Lihali. Seeing that male dragging her out of mediko by her hair had sent a wave of fury and fear through him he had never experienced before. He couldn’t let anything happen to her.
Seeing the male Jared had wrestled with was wearing a helmet was lucky, but he would have gone after Sage anyway. He needed to see her, hold her. He would never let her go.

Squirrel paced back and forth. She was shaking so bad she wasn’t sure if she was cold or just in shock. It felt like hours since Tagar had put in there, but it was probably only about twenty minutes—an eternity waiting to hear from Quinn.
The door opened and she froze her pacing to look. Quinn stepped through and her heart raced. “Quinn.” She rushed to him, leaping and throwing her arms around his neck. “Oh God, I was so worried.”
He lifted and carried her farther into the room. “My Lihali, I was so worried about you.”
Squirrel laid her head on his shoulder. “I was worried too. I thought that I might lose you, and I couldn’t live with that. You are my heart, my soul, and my very reason for living.”
“You’re that for me, too. Lihali, I love you with all my heart.”
“I love you so much,” she leaned forward for him to kiss her.
He took her lips in a scorching kiss, a claiming kiss. She opened to him immediately, returning his kiss with her own desire and claim. She’d almost lost him, if she had been a few seconds too late in removing the detonator.
Squirrel needed to be skin to skin, feel their hearts beating against each other, and to feel him deep inside her. She tugged at his jacket then his uniform, and sighed with pleasure when she got to his bare chest. After pressing kisses there she licked the spot right above his heart. He tasted delicious; she wanted to give him what he always gave her—everything.
She helped him out of his uniform shirt, and kissed her way down his chest to his navel. Kneeling on the floor, she removed his boots then helped him remove his pants. He went commando and she loved how his big cock sprang forward, ready for her attention.
Taking his shaft in her hands, she massaged him back and forth, cupping his balls with one hand. Then she licked a pearl of semen that was rolling from his tip. “Mmmm…so good.”
“Little one, I don’t know if I can hold out. I need you too much.”
“Then don’t hold back. Let me give you this.” She took his tip into her mouth and worked him in and out. She teased him with her teeth and tongue, sucking him as she squeezed him with her hands. He hardened even more. She relaxed her throat and took him deeper and deeper. Hearing his moans of pleasure spurred her on. He put his hands in her hair.
“Lihali—”
She increased the pace and soon he yelled out as he came into her mouth. Her eyes locked on his as she swallowed every drop, then she. She pulled away and released him.
Quinn bent down, lifted her in his arms, and carried her to the bedroom. “It’s my turn, little one.”
Squirrel went to remove her shirt but he pushed her hands away so he could do it. She watched his eyes light up with every inch exposed. She didn’t have a bra so with her shirt removed her breasts were free for his eager hands and mouth.
She tilted her head back and moaned in pleasure. Quinn suckled her nipples while his hands were busy removing her pants. She kicked off her boots. She also wasn’t wearing any underwear so his fingers were on her mound, touching and teasing.
“You’re so wet for me, Lihali. I love that.” He growled as he inserted a finger inside her.
“Only for you, Quinn. I’m yours and you’re mine.”
He moved his body between her thighs and lined up his cock with her entrance. He lifted his head and stared into her eyes. “Yes, mine.”
Quinn surged inside her all the way to the hilt in one stroke. They both moaned in pleasure. She f
elt whole with him connected to her.
Then he began to move in and out of her, his cock rubbing her inner walls with each movement. She knew she wouldn’t last long; she wanted him too much. She wanted them to come together this time.
“Harder…faster, please, Quinn.”
He shifted, taking her at a different angle, and increased his speed.
“I’m going to—” She felt the fire racing through her veins and her pussy began to quake with her release. “Quinn!”
“Yes, yes, my Lihali.”
She felt his semen as it coated her inside. Closing her eyes, she felt like she had finally come home.
Chapter 21
It had been two weeks since the attack in the mediko. She and Quinn had been staying in their quarters, kind of on a honeymoon. Commander Estro held another press conference where he declared the traitors dangerous and promised to exact the highest penalty for any violence against the humans.
Drasta high command issued approval to execute those who had attempted to kill him. Devlon also announced that Quinn was a hero for uncovering the plot and that he was fully supported by all of Drasta.
They decided to stay secluded until the whole thing died down. She didn’t mind having Quinn all to herself. She’d learned all kinds of fun things that they could do naked. Like now, as they lay in bed with her body draped over his.
He kissed her forehead. “I love you so much.”
“I love you, too.”
He nuzzled her neck. “Have you decided on a name?”
“Squirrel was given to me by men who only wanted to hurt and humiliate me. I ran away from them as soon as I could. The name the orphanage gave me is so unfamiliar. Every time I hear that name it reminds me that I’m alone and that no one wants me. I like the name you gave me, Lihali. I know it’s meant as an endearment, but when I hear it I feel good inside.”
“I want you to be happy.”
She wanted him to be happy, too. “I actually was playing around with the name and thought maybe I could shorten it to Hali. That way it won’t bother you when other people call me that, and you can call me Lihali.”
“I like it. I especially like that you picked something that made you feel good. You deserve that, Hali Estro.” He could tell that he surprised her.
“Estro?”
He touched her lips with his finger. “I want to claim you as my amahala, my wife. That is, if you’ll have me.”
She kissed him, letting him know how much she wanted that. She pulled away, smiling from ear to ear. “What’s the name for husband?”
“Amahlo.”
She looked into his eyes and saw everything she had ever dared to dream of. “I can’t wait to make you my amahlo. Can we do it today?”
He chuckled and rolled them over so that she was beneath him again. “Today, tomorrow, whenever you like. You are mine and I am yours—forever, my love.”
“Forever,” she agreed.

Devlon looked at the exasperating female as she sat down across from him. “Heather, what are you doing here?”
“It’s good seeing you, too, Devlon.”
He didn’t respond, but his heart rate picked up speed and his palms were actually starting to get a bit sweaty. He hadn’t reacted to a female like this since his youth. That was one more reason he didn’t like the female—she made him lose his self-control.
“I’m the tribe representative for these negotiations. We’ll be spending a lot of time together.”
“Who assigned you this position?” He wanted to know whom he was going to have to kill.
She gave him an evil smile. “I volunteered.”
Devlon knew he was in what the humans called Hell. This would end with one of them killing the other. Not good—not good at all.
