From Now Until Infinity Page 25

by Layne Harper

Then, my girl does the impossible. She keeps her composure and squeezes my hand reassuring me that she’s got this. “Allison, whatever you’re claiming is in the past. And, by the way, that’s not a confirmation of the statement. Colin and I are focused on our future together. In fact, we’ve decided to get married. You’re the first one that we’ve shared our happy news with.”

My girl is fucking beaming like a megawatt flash light. And the Oscar goes to Doctor Caroline Jane Collins because she just did the impossible. She has kept her composure, while being blindsided, and turned the interview away from Jenna and prescription drug abuse and back to us. She’s my angel. My savior. She’s the strongest and most amazing woman that I know.

I want to kiss her. Well, I actually want to do much more than kiss her, but that’ll have to wait because we’ve got more questions to answer.

And now, I have to talk about my second love - football. It doesn’t give me near the hard on that my girl does, but damn, I sure love it.

Colin and Charlie’s story continues in book three of the Infinity Series…

  Dear Reader,

Thank you for hanging around to the end of the book/beginning of Colin and Charlie’s story. They have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I named Caroline “Charlie” Jane Collins when I was in seventh grade if that gives you an idea. I love sharing them with you.

There are four books in the Infinity series. The first is “Falling Into Infinity.” I hope you already read it or just you spent most of this book confused.

Love or hate a scene or quote from the Infinity Series? Please share it with me at [email protected]. You can also follow my blog at www.LayneHarper.com. I would appreciate you leaving a review on the retailer’s Web site. Good or bad, it helps all of us authors do a better job for you, the reader.

  Thanks!

  Acknowledgements

First of all, I have to thank my husband. He’s every romance author’s fantasy leading man, and he can chauffer kids to extra-curricular activities like nobody’s business. He knows when to distract me from writing, and when to quietly shut my office door and tip toe away. The most important and best decision that I’ve made in my life is marrying him.

Second of all, my kids are owed a huge helping of thanks. They’ve been patient through fun dinners like hotdog wienies and strawberries, and they still think that mom cooks dinner. The greatest honor of my life is getting to be their mom.

What would I do without the Kristi(e)’s with a “K” in my life? My editor Kristi ([email protected]) is a dream to work with. Thank you for all of your suggestions. My beta reader Kristie catches all the little things that make this book just that much better. You guys rock!

Finally, I can’t say enough “thank yous” and “I appreciate it so muches” to all the review bloggers who do such a fantastic job of promoting indie authors. Without you guys, I would not have sold a single book. Colin and Charlie would still be a dream filling up space on my hard drive. I’m so grateful to you.

  About Layne Harper

Layne Harper taught Tom Brady how to throw a football, and she’s E.L. James’ red room consultant. In her spare time, she travels the world with Angelina Jolie helping orphans. Not really, but it sounds more exciting than her normal life. She’s mastered the art of takeout dining, turning down the volume right before the singer says a bad word, and disguising wine in a thermos for evening soccer games. She can make a snow cone that rivals the best in the world. Layne writes constantly in her head, on napkins, her kids’ homework, or whatever is close by. If you want to know more about Layne, check out an interview that she did with The SubClub Books.
