“That took a while though,” Trina said, cutting her short.

“Well, now it is a reality,” Victoria said. “And I have the perfect dress for you.”

Trina took another bite of her strawberry.

“White?” she asked and Victoria shook her head.

“Off white. We can say it is cream colored,” she said as she got a pair pf silver colored strapped heeled sandals. “And these will go perfectly with that outfit.”

“My leg is in a brace,” Trina pointed out, “or had you missed that?”

“Well, I think we can get it off just for a few minutes and then you can get it back on.”

“I don’t think that’s advisable…” Trina started but Victoria seemed a little too convinced. And driven.

“Fine. We can get you something else to go with the dress,” she said and Trina let out a long sigh.

“The more you talk highly of the outfit, the more skeptical I feel,” Trina admitted and Victoria nodded.

“I know. But trust me it is going to be worth it.”

Trina looked at her for a long minute before she nodded.

“Fine,” she said. “I am guessing I don’t really have a choice but to trust you.”

“No you don’t,” she said smiling.

  *****

Axel had met many women before. Women whom he had considered having a life with but every time he did, he never liked the picture in his head. It was almost always disastrous. It was like everyone was out to get him and for all the wrong reasons. But unfortunately for them, he had never considered any of the girls mostly because they were all skinny girls who were almost always looking for a career in fashion if not the film industry. And the ones he was interested in always turned out to have more baggage than he could handle. Until he met Trina.

He didn’t know what it was about her that made him want to just be agreeable to everything she said. He wanted to be with her. Spend every waking moment with her. Spend time being all hers. Maybe that was why he did not mind when she suggested they get married immediately. And he did not mind it either.

He loved how simple she was. He loved the fact that she was the most uncomplicated woman he knew and that he was already loving the idea of having her as a life partner. Which was probably why the three hours he had waited for the priest were the longest he had ever spent. He kept on wanting to walk out of his penthouse and make his way down to Trina’s suite. If for nothing else, then just to see her.

He already had everything set. The priest was waiting for his call in the lobby and he had on a gray slim suit and a black shirt. No tie.

He had chosen this particular outfit because Trina had mentioned that she loved it before. And even though he didn’t have a wedding tux, he knew that he had to put on something. Something that was going to put a smile on her face.

He had called Victoria earlier and she had assured him that they were only fifteen minutes out but for some reason, the quarter of an hour seemed so much longer than the three hours he’d had to wait for the priest. And by the time he was calling the priest and his witness Dr. Van Dyk up, his heart was racing. He had never expected to feel that way and the doctor could see it in his eyes.

  “Nervous,” Isaiah said.

It was more of a statement than a question. Axel took a long deep breath and sighed.

“Maybe,” he said in a soft voice.

“Don’t worry,” Isaiah said laughing. “I know the feeling.”

“But you had months of planning. Almost ten…I barely had an afternoon,” Axel pointed out and Isaiah laughed.

“Well, you know what you want to do. And you are finally doing it,” he said. Axel looked at him an eyebrow raised.

“What do you mean ‘finally’?” he asked.

“Well, it is no secret that the staff in here has been looking at you wondering who is ever going to make an honest man of you. Honestly, none of us ever thought it was going to be a guest,” he said.

“And what is so wrong with me settling down with a guest?” Axel asked.

“Well, for starters people here have known you longer. So…we all had our eyes on Penny from hospitality or the PR lady…the new one…”

“Adrianna?” he asked and Isaiah nodded.

  “Adrianna.”

“But I have nothing in common with her,” Axel said. “And quite honestly, she gets on my nerves.”

“Gets on your nerves? How?” he asked and Axel shook his head.

“Let’s just say that she was always a little too forward. And hands down a little too much to handle every two seconds,” he explained just as they heard a knock on the door and Axel’s heart skipped a beat. “I think it’s time,” he said in a whisper.

“Hey, deep breaths. You are doing great,” Isaiah said before he walked off to open the door to find the priest and one of the hotel bellboys.

“Father Klemmens. Please come in,” Isaiah said smiling.

“Thank you,” the old man said as he walked in. “I brought the rings. I’m hoping I made the right choice to get a quick job of the engraving process.”

Axel smiled as he took the rings from the priest.

“I am sure they did a good job,” he said as he looked at the inscription. “A&T Forever,” he said laughing.

“What?” the priest asked. “Is there a joke I am not getting?”

“A&T is the college a friend of mine goes to back in the US. North Carolina Agriculture and Technology,” he explained.

“Well, it has the date too. So the two of you will know exactly what it means,” Father Klemmens said. Axel nodded.

  “Of course.”

His heart skipped a beat when they heard another knock on the door. He barely had enough time to compose himself when the door opened and Matt poked his head in.

“Hey boss,” he said and just then, Axel realized that he had never seen him look so formal. “The girls are on their way.”

“Okay,” Axel said, exhaling loudly. He looked at Isaiah who cued the playlist on Axel’s phone as they waited for the girls to walk in. And at that moment, he realized that the last three hours had been nothing. This was the most unsettling moment of his life.

When Matt walked in with a smiling Victoria, he knew that his moment had come. He took a long deep breath as Victoria held the door open. It took a few minutes before Trina finally walked in. She was in a white halter neck midi-dress that outlined her every curve and a pair of silver colored flat sandals. Her hair was straightened out and she had worn it down, flowing luxuriously over her shoulders. She looked perfect to say the least. Even though she was limping to where she was, she was still perfectly beautiful and more attractive than anyone he had ever seen.

By the time she got to where he was, he wanted nothing more than to pull her into his arms and just kiss her. And as far as he was concerned, Father Klemmens could not perform the ceremony fast enough. He held her hands in his as the priest said a few words to begin the wedding but what people didn’t know was that he was freaking out.

“If it’s alright with you, Father Klemmens, I would like to say a few words,” Axel said when Father Klemmens was about to take them through the vows and he nodded. “Trina Crews, you are beautiful,” he started and Trina smiled. “When I first saw you I knew there was something different about you. Something that made me want to know you better. Something that made me want you and I know it has just been a few days but I already feel like I have known you forever. And there is nothing I want more than to have you in my life. Today. Tomorrow. Next week…next year….even ten years from now.”

Trina blushed as he gently drew small circles on her knuckles with his thumb.

“Nothing makes me happier than knowing you will be mine forever, Trina,” he concluded and she bit her lower lip.

“And you have made me believe in love again, Axel. Anyone who can do that for me, restore the faith of love again is someone who I see myself growing old with,” Trina said softly.

  “Well, that almost
covers everything I had to say,” the priest started and Trina laughed silently. “So all I have to ask now is Trina, do you take this man Axel to be your husband?”

“I do,” she said in a soft voice.

“And Axel, do you take this woman Trina to be your wife?” he asked.

“Of course I do,” Axel said smiling.

Father Klemmens handed them the rings and watched as they exchanged them while saying vows before he pronounced them man and wife.

“You may kiss the bride,” he said smiling after they were done.

Axel slipped an arm around her waist and pulled her close. He looked into her eyes and used his fingers to gently brush a few strands of hair from her face before he lowered his head and claimed her lips in a long luscious kiss. Their first kiss as a married couple.

“I cannot wait to make love to my wife tonight,” he whispered in her ear when he finally pulled away from her and Trina smiled.

“I cannot wait either and by the way, nice suit,” she whispered back.

“I wore it just for you,” he said before the few people around them walked forward to congratulate them.

  Chapter 8

Trina was surprised at how much Axel had managed to prepare in a short three hours. While she was busy making sure she looked perfect in a simple dress, he had managed to get a priest to the hotel, the chef to whip up a special meal for their small reception and a cake too. She was especially confused when she tried figuring out how he had managed to work out the cake so fast. After all, they had just been engaged for all of three hours.

At the back of her mind, she could not help but wonder what he would have pulled off if he had a week or even a month. It all felt like she was living another person’s dream. As if she was on the outside looking in. She had been feeling that way ever since she met him quite honestly and now that she was here, not only as Trina Crews the lawyer but as Axel Anderson’s wife, she was not sure how she felt about everything. It was not that she regretted anything because truth be told, she didn’t really regret a thing.

Not her acceptance of his proposal.

  Not wedding him.

And definitely not coming to Ornen with Victoria. If anything, that was her best decision yet.

She was still having an out of body experience when she got to the presidential suite with Axel walking behind her after their brief reception. She looked around as she balanced herself on her crutches and shook her head.

“We could stay at my room or your penthouse,” she said in a soft voice.

“This is our first night as husband and wife,” he said as he held her waist. “I wanted it to be special.”

“But…this,” she said, shaking her head. “This is too much and you have done so much for me already.”

Axel closed the door and walked around her.

“I only do the best for Mrs. Anderson,” he said.

“But you keep on doing this…I mean, you keep on spending all this money on me. The private suites, the ceremony which I thought would be small and intimate…”

“It was small and intimate,” he said, cutting her short and she shook her head.

“There was a wedding cake and matching engraved wedding bands in a wedding ceremony that took you less than half a day to organize,” Trina said matter of factly. “I know everything must have cost you thousands…maybe tens of thousands considering the ring you got me.”

He took one crutch and she leaned on the other one before he took the other one. He had his arm securely around her waist.

“I got you,” he said in a soft voice as he looked into her eyes. He slowly led her to the bed which had rose petals scattered on it and on the floor. Everything was just too beautiful. Too perfect.

“You do realize that this is not how I pictured myself on my wedding day, right?” she asked when he put the crutches away. “Crutches and all.”

“There are no crutches in your wedding photos. Not even a wheelchair,” he said. “And even if there were, I would still find you irresistibly beautiful,” he added as he pulled her zipper down. She closed her eyes as he stepped around her and stood behind her.

“Everything about you is perfect. So perfect,” he said in a whisper as he gently lowered his head and pushed her hair aside to expose her smooth neck. She let out a soft sigh when he kissed her neck softly. He was working his way down her neck to her shoulder, savoring every moment as his lips ran their course and Trina could not help but moan softly.

He gently pushed the dress off her right shoulder before he did the same for her other shoulder.

“I have always been looking for the perfect woman. The kind of woman who is both beauty and brains all rolled up in one,” he was saying as he gently caressed her arms and then pulled the dress away from her arms. The dress was now gathered at her waist and he was slowly trailing his soft kisses down her spine. Every hair on her body seemed to be alive and her skin was all covered in goosebumps from the way he was touching her. “The kind of woman who would always keep me on my toes and make me get a hard on every single time I saw her.”

He pressed his crotch into her soft ass and she gasped when she felt his hard cock pressing into her.

“Like the one I have right now,” he said, this time whispering into her ear. She was breathing hard and heavy as he gently ran his tongue from one shoulder to the other before he nibbled her earlobe. For a second there, she was afraid that her stud would come off and he would choke on it but he was far too careful for that. Besides, she barely had enough time to worry about that because before she knew it, he was pulling her dress down again.

“I want to feel you,” he said, his hands on her soft ass cheeks. “Every part of you.”

He was now on his knees as he slowly began kissing her thigh. He was caressing her other thigh slowly moving his hand up until he got to her waist and pulled her panties down. She gasped silently when he brought his hand in between her legs and gently brushed her moist core. She wanted to get on the bed and beg for him to take her but once again, he was showing her that he was in no particular hurry to get her into bed. He brought himself up and undid her bra hooks and let the bra slide off her arms, freeing her already hard nippled breasts. He held her neck and she gasped again as he turned her head to meet his lips in one long kiss. He turned her around when he pulled away and gently ran his hands down her shoulders, his palms brushing against his palms as he did so. She looked into his eyes and that was when she saw it. The passion and the lust.

“I want you down on the bed,” he said in a commanding tone.

He gently helped her down on the bed and hovered over her. He was kissing her softly, as he made his way down her body his lips brushing against her sensitive skin as he made his way down to her breasts and then to her tummy. She roughly struggled to push his clothes off before he pulled back and began to take off his own clothes. He was looking down at her body as he took off his pants and shirt before he settled in between her legs.

“I want you right now,” he rasped as he positioned his cock at her entrance.

“Then take me,” she said just in time as he began moving himself into her. She gasped silently and unknowingly dug her fingers into his back. He looked down at her and kissed her softly before he began moving himself in and out of her wet tightness.

Axel loved how being inside her felt all new as if he had not been in there for a long time if not ever. She was so tight, her muscles clamped down on his girth as he slowly went in and out of her, slowly picking up his pace as he went on claiming her with every single thrust. He had gone from slowly moving in and out of her to slamming his weight on her pelvis. And by this time, she was no longer moaning out loud, she was screaming and he was groaning. He had his head buried in her shoulder and she was holding a lock of his hair with one hand and running her fingers down his spine as he moved her.

He could feel her clamping down on him even more as he went on moving himself in and out of her harder and faster and before he knew it, she was c
lawing at his back and moaning louder than ever as her orgasm claimed her. He was trying as much as he could to stay inside her but the force inside her pussy coupled with the way she was writhing was too much for him. He could not hold back anymore even though he was trying as hard as he could to hold on to the little shred of control of his body he had left. But he was not exactly succeeding. He suddenly cried out as he exploded inside her and finally collapsed on top of her. They were both panting and shivering in the wake of their wild orgasms.

“I’m so glad you said yes to me,” Axel said in a soft voice and Trina smiled.

“I’m so glad you asked,” she said as he rolled off her body. He looked at her and pulled her into his arms.

“I know that you might think this is too soon to say but I know for a fact that I love you, Trina Crews-Anderson,” he said in an exhausted whisper.

Trina closed her eyes and rest her head on his chest.

“I love you too, Axel,” she whispered back.

  *****

It was a little after four in the morning when Axel finally woke up. He was still holding a sleeping Trina in his arms and a smile played on his lips when he saw the wedding band on his left ring finger. It was all too surreal. Just the way Trina had never considered herself the marriage kind, he had never really pictured himself as a married man. Being tied down to one woman was something he always wanted but every single woman who crossed his path was always a little off. A little too materialistic for his taste and the ones who were not, were always looking to sponge off him in more ways than one. It was like he could never really win with women. Even when he tried.

Perhaps that was why he had always been attracted to plus size women. They were always smart and when they actually talked to him at the bar, it was for the sake of conversation and nothing else. And he loved being in their company. Talking to the different women in different careers always gave him an idea of what a real woman was like. A woman who could hold her own. And if there was one thing he wanted more than anything, it was that if he ever settled down, it would be with such a woman. One who challenged him.
