Josh just couldn’t be surprised, as it was similar to what had happened on the island. They had a little bit of news, but most of their communication was knocked out immediately. There were many people there taking advantage of it as well, but there were still groups like this that were trying to hold out hope while just holding their own. He just nodded along, and the man waited.
“Is that all you had to ask?” He asked Josh, and Josh shook his head.
“No, but it was the majority of it. Please just give me a moment.” He said simply, trying to take everything in. That’s why no one helped my parents. Everyone is losing hope, and with that loss of hope things are only going to get worse. He thought to himself, trying to reason everything out. That means I need to get Emily and get her to a safe place. There won’t be time to bury people. Even these people are already losing hope, and there are people being shot in alleyways. Get her. Get out. He reminded himself, trying not to think of his dead parents rotting.
“I am looking for someone. What is the best strategy to find her here?” He asked the man, and the man’s face fell.
“You probably just won’t. You need to move on.” He stated, trying to get Josh to move along.
