Sunny could do all that and still be in the same place a year from now that she was currently standing in.
Or, she could take it all by the balls and make decisions that changed her current course.
If what Gabriel offered was true, she could redeem herself. She could learn to defend both herself and the people she loved, and she could march straight into hell and grab Gideon herself.
The only question she had left was where the hell did she sign up?
“When do we start?”
Gabriel looked around the loft and grinned.
“Well, if that far bedroom that used to belong to you is free for me to borrow for a few months, we can start tomorrow.”
It was her old bedroom. Part of her wasn’t completely comfortable bringing Gabriel into Gideon’s home like this, but she also wasn’t using that bedroom anymore. She lived fully in Gideon’s room now.
“Just be certain that you’re truly on board for the training and all it will entail,” Gabriel warned. “It won’t be easy. It will push you past any limit you think you’ve already pushed in your life.”
She took a half second and considered his words. It was time. She was ready. Her redemption began now.
“I’m in.”
