TO RIDE AN ALPHA
Sharon clutched her books close when a large black blur passed across the empty campus walkway. Bushes rattled and crows spun out of the tree above, squawking against the gibbous yellow moon. She shivered and stayed put. Was that a coyote? Didn't know they'd be so close here, she thought.
She inclined her ear to the side when she heard another sound. The clamor of fallen branches mixed with deep growls. Her heart pounded and her body went stiff with fear as the cacophony grew closer and more intense. That doesn't sound like a coyote...
From the wooded edge of the sidewalk burst a howling mass of fur and sinew. Oh God! This time, it was right on top of her. She caught a glimpse of its burning yellow eyes, its sharp ears folded in low silhouette against the moon. Hot saliva fell down the rise of her breasts as she was taken to the ground.
She shrieked in agony to the searing pain that blossomed in her shoulder. Fire raced through her blood, burning through her bones and flesh. She spasmed underneath the hulking creature, her eyes catching peeks of sculpted muscle rippling under fur. There was something almost human about how the creature was built, how its statuesque arms held her down.
The beast pulled away from her shoulder, blood dripping from its jaw. Sharon's weak moans floated into the night air. Her shaking hands raked down its furry shoulders. As darkness clouded the sides of her vision, she saw a strange glint in the beast's eyes, like confusion. It snarled and pounced off into the bushes, leaving the college student to her fate on the remote pathway.
Sharon's eyes fluttered closed. She sighed and fell into a deep sleep. From within her dreamless sleep she sensed a growing fount of power, an irresistible change coursing up from the depths of her being... and the faint stirrings of pleasure between her legs...

Sounds of drills ruptured the air while sparks from torches littered the floor of the motorcycle shop. “Alright Frankie, tell me what the fuck happened.” Liam propped his boots on his desk, looking across to his little brother. His bright gray eyes stared into Frankie's until the younger brother looked down. “Tell me how one little chase landed two poor bastards in pine boxes and some young thing in the hospital.”
Frankie raised his hand and leaned forward. “Now wait a sec. Lemme just say... if one of those Blackclaw boys from out of state hadn't been here, hadn't been fucking my woman, then this would have never happened. I didn't even kill the first two men! When he jumped off a roof he turned a sleeping hobo into hamburger, and the office jock... he just couldn't move out of the way fast enough—”
“Stop right there. All across the states, across every pack holding... there are lone wolves that never cause trouble, that just blow on through—”
“Yeah well apparently this guy didn't get the message 'cause my girl was blowing him!”
Liam removed his boots from the table. “Don't interrupt me, Frankie.” his voice was quiet and low. All the fire left Frankie's eyes and he looked down again. “That's the issue right there. You can't command loyalty in your woman. Then again, you'd have to choose a good one to start with. Showing a stripper cool tricks and asking if she wants to be like you is not the foundation for something long lasting.” Liam stood up and skimmed his hand over a city map, dotted with chapters of the Full Moon Motorcycle Club. “Only reason I allowed it is because she was already bitten when you brought her to me.”
Frankie squirmed in his seat. He looked at Liam's map, wondering if he would flip it back and reveal the club's drug distribution network. “What do I need to do?”
Liam turned his head. “Not fuck up. Which is why I'll be handling the survivor.”
Frankie's eyes widened as Liam swiped his motorcycle keys off his desk. “What do you mean by 'handle'?”
“You'll see.” Finish the job or see if she's pack material.

Sharon lay in her hospital bed, the days since her attack nothing but a parade of officials and friends. Already they were calling it attempted rape.
“Just tell us one more time, what did he look like again?”
“Furry... and huge. Growling, too.” she said and watched Johnson dismiss her with an eye roll. Don't give me that! I'm not hallucinating!
“Could've just been a wolf.” said the other detective as she checked her nails for scratches.
Johnson folded his notepad up and leaned against the room's door. “If it was a wolf there would have been a lot more damage. And in the middle of the city? Doubt it.” He looked directly to Sharon. “We've had a spate of crimes by dumb kids who think they're vampires, werewolves and demons. 20 years ago these freaks would have been institutionalized for personality disorder or had a job to beat all the free time out of them, but now... now it's practically illegal to call them dysfunctional.”
Detective Mendez stood up and extended Sharon her hand. “Thank you for your time, Miss O'Connell. If detective Johnson or I find out anything more, we'll let you know.”
“I'd look into getting some personal defense in the meantime, miss.” said Johnson as he opened the door and left his card on her side table.
Sharon smiled at Mendez. She liked her more. “I will. Thank you both.”
As the detectives left she thought she might have some time to herself and enjoy the silence... and indulge the yearnings between her legs. Every time she had a visitor she had to stifle her lusts, biting her lips and clenching the sheets while pleasure hummed through her body.
But then the door in her room clicked and the handle turned. What the hell? I didn't call for a nurse. In walked a giant of a man, his shoulders broad, his chest built and powerful. His long, night black hair ran past his ears, giving him the look of a renegade. “Uh... who are you?” she said. Her body tingled as the two made glancing eye contact.
Sharon exhaled, her lungs surrendering her breath. It was just a glance... but why did it feel like a stare? Her hips lifted slightly off the bed, her core pulsing with desire more than ever. Just go away! I need this... it's killing me! Her fingers crept up to her soaked thighs, on the verge of going higher.
“Hey. I'm Liam.” He slumped down in one of the room's chairs, spreading his legs wide and claiming his domain. Sharon found it difficult not to focus on his crotch. “How do you feel?” He swiped detective Johnson's card from her table and smirked at it before setting it back down.
“Umm... strange and... I don't know you.”
Liam got up and walked to the foot of her bed, his gloved hands wrapping around the metal frame. “That's not important right now.” He paused to look into her eyes. Sharon met his gray gaze and felt her heart shudder, as if an invisible force had pushed against her chest. Liam too, seemed similarly afflicted until he cleared his throat. “What is important is that I get you out of here.”
“Is this a kidnapping?”
He lowered his head and his wild eyes gleamed at her like bright knives. “Only if you scream.”
“I'm not leaving.”
He laughed. “Too bad.” He leapt up onto her bed and ripped off her sheets. She gasped as he straddled her waist. Her heart beat grew into a thundering
pound while an irresistible quiver ran between her legs. She watched his eyes tilt downwards to her heaving bosom, tightly wrapped by her hospital gown. “Ah. The Change is on you. Bet you've been feeling a little extra heat in between your legs, too.”
“How did you...”
“You've been mauled by a werewolf.” How does he get that but the detective doesn't? He yanked her gown from the sides and exposed her full breasts. They bounced to the violent motion until Liam stilled them with his own hands. “In a few hours you're going to go into heat. In a few nights you'll be one of us.”
This can't be real. He looks like a biker!
“Wait whoa what—” She stopped when he began to pull her legs out from underneath the sheets. “What are you doing?!”
“Saving your life.”
“You're so full of shit!”
“I'm not hearing any screams.” he said with a smirk that both infuriated and aroused her. She beat against his chest in response, but they might as well have been the hands of a child against a statue. He caught both of her wrists and pinned them above their head. “Don't. Do that.” His voice was low and dangerous, which only sent more pangs of excitement down her spine.
He leaned down close to her face, close enough for his breath to tickle her sensitive neck... close enough to kiss. Sharon stopped her struggle, the urge to fight dying as the urge to submit was born. She felt her pussy gush with moisture while beads of sweat ran down her neck, into her cleavage. His eyes... so hot. What am I doing? It's the bite making me do this... right? The old me... wouldn't have gotten all excited over a tall, strange and handsome biker holding me down... would I? A small gasp left her lips when she felt a weighty warmth stretch against her hips. She broke from his eyes just to catch a glimpse below. His package strained against his jeans, pushing the stretched denim against her soaked skin. Oh fuck... oh he's perfect.
Liam inclined his ear to the side, hearing something beyond the room's door. He turned back to Sharon and pressed her lips against his. The biker drank of her feminine softness like a conqueror returned from battle. Sharon's hands and feet jerked in surprise before wrapping around him. She reciprocated his deep kiss and drew him closer, relishing the feel of his hard chest against her firm breasts. Husky moans ran from her lips while her pussy sent fresh streams of arousal down her damp thighs, the quenching of her burning cravings in sight.
The door to the room swung open and Sharon felt a shadow fall over her. The nurse in the doorway gasped. “Oh my God!”
Liam shifted his weight and smiled at the nurse. “Hey.”
“You can't be here!” the woman snapped, her aged face caught in a scowl.
“She's my girlfriend. I can be wherever I want.” he kissed Sharon on the lips and hugged her closer. Sharon blushed and couldn't hold back a smirk at the nurse's surprise. I don't know who you really are but you're already more exciting than everyone else I've dated. All two of them, but still.
“I'm getting Dr. Ross!” The nurse spun around and slammed the door shut.
Liam yawned. “Whatever.” He rose off of Sharon's writhing and yearning form, almost oblivious to her lustful cravings. Teasing bastard. “Let's get out of here. There's a lot to know.” he said, rubbing her bandaged shoulder wound.
She teased him in turn. “Oh and what makes you think I'm coming with you?”
“What makes you think you have a choice?” he said with a grin, the slight graze of his hand against her soaked mound already sparking cravings of his statuesque body against her.
Good point.

The bright warm sun did little to burn away the grogginess from Sharon's head as they walked outside. The way Liam... mounted her stirred lusts that she never knew she had. His strong hands, chiseled face, the weight of his hard chest against hers... a strange thought occurred to her. Wait a minute... “Hey... what do you do to men? In a position like mine?” There's no way he does to them what he did to me...
“Kill them. Usually.”
“While they're still in the hospital!?”
“Best time to kill them.” he said without missing a beat, checking both sides of the street before crossing into the parking lot.
“You're unbelievable.” Well... he IS a werewolf so... not exactly gonna be like Smokey the Bear.
Liam said nothing but kept up his powerful step. His eyes swept across the lot, ever vigilant like an animal in the wild. Vigilance turned to apprehension when the boom of motorcycle engines filled the air from down the parking lot.
Sharon cupped her ears when a troop of motorcycles pulled up in front of her. My head is gonna explode. Need some aspirin. Liam made a gesture with his hands and the bikers switched their engines off.
The lead man pulled off his helmet, revealing a mane of surprisingly lustrous black hair, his tawny face smooth and clean shaven, like an Aztec god in leather. Wow. Didn't think bikers could look like that. She looked up to Liam and saw how his eyes shined in the sun, held in shadow under his brow, his wide jaw clenching in anger. Then again I should be used to it by now.
“The fuck are you doing, Carlos?” Liam stepped forward to the dark skinned and dark eyed biker. His height came just below Liam's towering form. “It's broad daylight and there's cops around. You shouldn't be here.”
Carlos smirked and threw up his hands. “Oh yeah sorry boss,” he said in a voice that told Sharon he was anything but, “heard there was a problem, wanted to see if I could help.”
Liam eyed the other three riders suspiciously. Sharon backed away, her nerves tingling with the feeling of imminent violence.
Liam straightened his back and turned to Carlos once more. “You can help by doing what I told you to do. Like keeping tabs on Lockwood.”
“Yeah we lost him.”
“You lost— you know what, we'll deal with that later.” Liam offered a cool smile, though Sharon could see a bright rage roaring behind his eyes. The biker patted Carlos on the back. “I've gotta handle this shit.”
Carlos turned his head and eyed her up and down. “Eh, not bad, not bad! Hopefully the pack is a little more accepting, 'cause you know, the rules...”
Liam walked away and grabbed Sharon's hand. “It ain't the pack you should worry about. Go home.” he said over his shoulder. Carlos snickered and then the air exploded at once to the sound of four motorcycles coming to life. It might as well have been an artillery shell for Sharon. Liam saw her face scrunch and her eyes squeeze shut as she leaned into him. “It'll be ok. Give it another day and your senses will get used to it.”
As Carlos and his men drove off she felt she could speak again, her ears still ringing. “What happens in a day?”
“Full moon. All kinds of crazy shit. Means some packs are gonna get a whole lot bigger, some a lot smaller. Depends on how thirsty these dogs are for bitches.” He eyed her wantonly and moved his hand from her waist to her ripening bottom, her femininity on the rise ever since the bite. The perfect breeding form, she thought and a heated thrill ran down her thighs. “I can tell already you're gonna be something when the curse has run its course. You're gonna stay with me, away from the young bloods until the full moon passes. Last thing I need is a bloodbath over some ass.”
Charming.
She sighed when they came upon his gleaming Harley. Can't one biker drive a sedan or something? Just for one day? The thing was one of the more modern models, but without veering into the ultra sleek lines of a Japanese bike. Absent 'T-bar' handlebars and covered in a polished enamel coat of crimson, the immaculate upkeep and unconventional design belied its owner's rough personality. “Do you have any ear plugs?”
“Already on it.” he said and fished two lime green plugs from his coat.
She took them and hugged him, giving him a light kiss on the lips. “Thanks for doing this. I don't think I'd want to be alone...” she gripped his hand and looked up into his eyes, “when the full moon comes.” Maybe he can cure me? Maybe that's why he's taking me with him!?
Liam paused i
n fishing out his keys and met her eyes just like he did in the hospital room. The connection forced Sharon's heart to pound and her skin to perspire around the neck. She pushed her addled mind to speak. “I'm sorry about your pack rules... Carlos seemed... seemed... I don't know.” He wasn't exactly mad about it, was he? Seemed a little light and happy. Maybe it was a light and happy rule?
Liam shrugged. “Piss on Carlos. Lying son of a bitch. You don't come for something this routine with three other men packin' heat.”
“They had guns!?”
“Yeah but they hid them well. Probably wanted to dust me in the hospital. Maybe you too.”
“You're friends with people who want to kill you...”
“I'm the alpha of my pack. Everyone wants to kill me.” Not me. “Kids who think they're hot shit and wanna be top dog; comes with the territory. I'm fine with that. Just do it the old fashioned way, claw to claw, none of this cloak and dagger shit.”
