Loving Marcus Page 3

by Roxanne Greening

Something I should be used to when it came to him. He always made me feel wet and needy. Sighing, I slowly lowered my hand, ready to rub the need away.

My fingers almost reached their destination when someone knocked on my door. My eyes flew wide, and my hand quickly retreated from its path.

“Willow?” The voice was unfamiliar, and heat rose up my cheeks, burning them.

“Yes?” I asked in embarrassment. I could only hope whoever that was didn’t catch it.

“My name’s Cole, my father Ivan, sent me.” He told me through the closed door.

Ivan sent another one of his son’s? My father okayed this?

“Why don’t you come out and have some breakfast with me?” his voice was sickly sweet, something I was sure worked with all the women. I wasn’t one of them, though. I had met Marcus, and no other voice had the same effect on me.

Marcus’s deep rough voice had this smoothness to it like melted chocolate. It always makes me want to drop into a puddle at his feet.

“I’ll be right out,” I told him.

Honestly, I was curious about his brother, and I wanted to know where Marcus went. Did he get assigned to one of my prettier cousins?

An ache formed in my chest at the thought. My lips turned dry, and my tongue dipped out. It slowly danced over them.

Unfolding myself from my bed, I slowly stood and made my way to the door. My fingers wrapped around the smooth cold surface of the doorknob. Turning it, I pulled until the door opened, revealing the man on the other side.

He looked remarkably like Marcus, although, he didn’t elicit a single response from me. Not like his brother did. Cole’s light brown hair was a shade lighter and his blue eyes a shade darker.

My lips twisted upwards, slightly giving him a small smile. I wanted to look for Marcus, but I knew he was already gone.

Brushing past him, I tried to keep as much space between us as possible. Not that he helped, he didn’t even budge, not even an inch when I squeezed passed him. I didn’t breathe, afraid my chest would brush his arm.

My eyes scanned the room, even though I knew he was gone. I couldn’t help the response. I couldn’t help the need to see him.

“He’s not here. He left about an hour ago,” Cole said.

I shook my head and refused to answer, afraid of what might slip out.

“So, what do you and my brother normally do?” Cole asked as I sat stiffly on the bar stool watching him closely. He was moving quickly through the kitchen, unlike his brother who moved smoothly.

“He takes me out to capture the art around us,” I told him quietly. If I wasn’t mistaken, I thought he snorted in amusement. Frowning at his back, I resisted the urge to stab him with the fork I was holding.

I’ve never wanted to hurt someone, not like I wanted to hurt this man. It felt like he was laughing at Marcus, and I wasn’t okay with that, not even close.

“Look, I have a showing in two days. I need more shots,” I told him firmly. I already had enough to get through it, but I wanted more.

“Where do we need to go?” He asked me. He sounded uninterested, something Marcus never was. Stop it, Willow, he’s not his brother.

Looking at my plate, I just shrugged my shoulders. I know he could see me, I felt the weight of his stare.

“Here, eat this, and we’ll figure it out together,” his voice had gentled some. Sighing, I did as he said. I wasn’t particularly hungry, but Marcus would be upset if I didn’t eat.

Darn it! He’s gone Willow, and you will probably never see him again. A knife twisted in my heart at the thought. Closing my eyes, I fought the tears that overwhelmed me.

  Chapter 14

  Willow

The gallery was open, and people were pouring in. I couldn’t believe it was so successful. I expected only a few people to attend.

For a moment, I thought my family had done this, but as I scanned the faces, I didn’t recognize eighty percent of them. My family had respected my wishes.

It was all becoming overwhelming, too much too fast. I needed air, I needed space, and I needed away from all these people. The room was congested, filled to the max.

People were rubbing together as they walked. Cole was at my side, but his eyes kept eating up the beautiful blond woman. She was looking at the picture I took that day with Marcus, the one with the golden leaves.

Looking around the room, I fought for air. The bathroom was so close, and it would be a safe place. I could see it from here, empty and spacious.

I needed him. I needed Marcus, but he wasn’t here. Cole was off in pursuit of the woman that he stripped with his eyes.

It felt like I was running to the safety of the bathroom. The room seemed to blur slightly. No one interrupted me as I sped through the room. My soul focused on that little space.

I breathed a sigh of relief as my hand latched onto the knob. As I stepped into the room, a hand covered my mouth causing a muffled scream.

“Willow, it’s me,” Marcus whispered into my ear causing a shiver of excitement to dance down my spine.

He pulled me gently into the room, closing the door behind us. The sound of the lock engaging had my heart hammering.

“I’m going to pull my hand away, please don’t scream,” His voice was filled with a begging tone.

Pressing my lips together, I held back a million questions that wanted to spill past my dry lips.

“I promised you a sunset,” He says ruefully.

My eyes scanned his body, and I watched his muscles move under the fabric of his tuxedo. God, he was gorgeous.

Something primal took over me as the throbbing between my legs returned. This hunger for him was too much. Reaching out, I wrapped my arms around him.

I felt him stiffen, but thankfully he didn’t try to get away. Licking my lips, I leaned in and crushed them against his, gently applying pressure.

His fingers tangled in my hair pulling it until it fell in waves down my back. The strands looked like it danced on my bareback. The dress was like two pieces of fabric that crossed in front of me and tied behind my neck.

The white material was soft and went down to my ankles, but as I moved, it parted and showed some of my legs. Once again, his fingers fisted in my hair as he deepened the kiss.

I felt his other hand glide up the inside of my thigh parting the material as he went. A moan escaped as my lips parted.

His fingers danced along the hem of my white lace panties. My legs moved unconsciously, spreading slightly for him.

His tongue swept into my mouth as his fingers slipped under the silky material separating my pussy from his fingers.

Then he pushed one deep inside me. I screamed against his lips, but he swallowed the sounds. His long finger moved in and out of me, slowly, painfully.

Another gasping moan escaped me as he added another finger, pumping in and out slowly. Wetness coated his fingers as my walls clamped down on the intrusion.

I was close to my climax when his other hand left my hair and ripped the panties off my body. That same hand moved around to my butt cupping it and pulling me closer to him.

Then, I felt this burst of pleasure exploded inside of me. Marcus kept pumping his fingers inside of me, drowning out the pleasure.

That hand pulled me closer and I lifted my legs, unconsciously wrapping them around his waist. A mellow cry left my lips as he pulled his fingers from within me.

“Tell me to stop. Say no, Willow, and I’ll leave right now,” He demanded.

I couldn’t say no. I wanted, no, I needed him to continue. Instead of saying anything, I leaned in closer, sealing my lips to his in a biting kiss. My hands wrapped around his shoulders. I dragged them slowly down his chest to the button of his pants.

Fumbling, I finally got the button to release and pull down his zipper. I listened as his pants hit the floor. More wetness leaked from between my legs, and the insistent throbbing was worse than before.

The hand that was in my hair released and disappeare
d completely. I felt the head of his cock press against my clit before it slid down to my opening.

He gripped both of my hips, holding me firmly in place as he pushed his way inside me. Slowly, he stretched me, and a slight twinge of pain had receded some of my pleasure. At that point, a small cry left my lips.

Once again, his tongue swept into my mouth as he pressed deeper inside of me. I felt a tear as he ripped through my virginity and hit my womb.

We both stiffened. Marcus barely breathed as I fought to accommodate his huge dick. My walls clamped down and released him over and over, forcing a deep groan from him.

His tongue darted in and out of my mouth mimicking what his cock was about to do to my pussy. The pain receded leaving behind the feeling of being overly stuffed.

I thought he was all in, but he proved me wrong. Marcus pushed further inside of me before pulling out and pushing back in.

My eyes rolled into the back of my head as pleasure coursed through me like a title wave. His hips slammed into mine over and over, harder and faster, with each stroke.

His mouth was sealed to mine, trying to contain the moans that were dragged from deep within. His fingers dug into my hips, keeping me still as he took.

The sounds of flesh hitting flesh echoed around us, as well as, the sounds of my quiet moans and his heavy breathing.

I felt another orgasm form inside of me, this one was bigger. He hit my womb over and over as sparks of overwhelming pleasure shot through me.

“Ohgodohgodohgodhgod…” I moaned in a continuous stream as he pushed deeper inside of me. Then, I was an erupting of shooting stars. Warmth filled me as he pressed in as deep as he could go.

“Fuck,” he whispered against our joined lips. Our hips still pressed firmly together. My pussy clamped down and released over and over, massaging his cock forcing a moan to pass his lips.

Releasing my lips, he pressed his forehead against mine. Our heavy breathing was the only sound in the room.

“Willow…” he started only to pause when a pounding started on the door.

“Willow? You okay in there?” Cole asked, his voice filled with concern.

Swallowing, I responded, “I’m fine. Be out in a minute.” My voice was hoarse, and I winced at the sound.

“I need to get back out there,” I told him quickly. I didn’t want to hear how this was a mistake, how it couldn’t happen again. Marcus released my hips and pulled out slowly, letting me slide gently to the floor. Once my feet touched the solid surface, I was straightening my dress and running my fingers through my hair.

Marcus quickly pulled his pants up, tucking his still hard cock into them before zipping it up. My eyes widened at the size of it. He must have been at least ten inches long and as wide as my wrists.

No wonder it hurt to move. I winced as I took a step away from him. My eyes were unable to meet his. Without looking back, I opened the door enough to slip through and backed out into the crowd of people.

  Chapter 15

  Willow

The air felt cool as it drifted up my dress. I looked around self-consciously since I wasn’t wearing any underwear. Marcus ripped them off, and I was still wet from what we did.

Could they see? Did they know what we did? A hand cupped my elbow, and my heart rate quickened slightly. My head whipped around, and my eyes widened as I looked into Marcus’s dark, brooding eyes.

My tongue peeked out and ran over my bottom lip. Marcus’s eyes followed the move, and his eyes darkened more.

“We need to talk,” he told me with a harsh voice.

Jerking my arm from his, I fought the need to kick him in the knee. It was never a good thing when men said we need to talk, or so I’ve read.

I know he regretted what just happened, but I didn’t, and I didn’t want him to voice the words.

“There’s nothing to talk about Marcus,” I hissed quietly.

My father appeared leaning against a wall with my mom next to him both watching us intently. Gulping for air I fidgeted my fingers, tugging gently on my white dress.

There seemed to be less oxygen in the room, as Marcus just sucked it up. Were the walls getting closer? I was about to start gulping for air when Marcus placed his hand on my lower back.

Where his skin met mine, it tingled and warmed slightly. His fingers rubbed gently in calming circles.

“Willow, we need to talk about what just happened,” he gentled his tone.

“Why? So, you can tell me it was a mistake? Tell me that you weren’t coming back, that you didn’t belong in my family?” My tone turned cold at the end. It started off with a hint of hurt but it ended with a cold and viciousness I didn’t think I was capable of.

  “No,” Marcus denied.

He was lying. Should I regret losing my virginity in the bathroom? Yes. Did I? Absolutely not. It was with the man who made my world brighter, clearer, and warmer.

I was fighting to keep my emotions that were swirling deep within me from bursting out. My father pushed off the wall, and I could see him moving from the corner of my eye.

I shifted and placed myself in front of Marcus, it was an unconscious move. Taking a protective stance didn’t go unnoticed.

My mother grabbed his arm pulling him to a stop. She leaned in and whispered something in his ear that had him turning his attention to her.

She shifted and met my eyes telling me she knew what happened with that look.

“I need to move Marcus,” I told him quietly.

  “No,” he commanded.

I laughed slightly, and the sound held a slight bitterness to it.

“You can’t stop me,” I told him as I jerked away from him. I started to move, but he followed. I felt his heat on my back as I moved around the room. Once again he became my shadow.

The night progressed much the same. He didn’t utter another word, he just followed me. The men in my family were all standing on the outskirts of the room, just watching us move.

They were going to figure it out. Cole watched from his perch next to one of my pictures. His eyes glued to his brother as Marcus did everything he could to keep contact with me. It was as if he feared I would disappear.

Sighing, I turned to him as the last patron left the building.

“Marcus, you need to go,” I whispered the words afraid he might listen to me and do just that. My chest ached as my heart skipped a beat.

“I told you, I’m not leaving you. We need to talk,” his voice had gotten firmer and more demanding.

Something dark shifted inside me, and it answered his silent command.

“My father sent you away. You need to go before he comes over here and does something,” I told him. The fears that I felt at the thought had my palms sweating and my heart racing.

Cole moved closer, almost like a circling shark.

“Brother, you need to go,” Cole’s voice held a hint of concern. He got what Marcus was ignoring.

I could see when it finally dawned on him. Marcus looked at his brother’s dark and piercing eyes.

“This isn’t over, Willow,” Marcus promised me.

He was wrong, it was over before it started. I watched his retreating form as he walked out the door and disappeared around the corner. I didn’t realize it, but every muscle was clenched and I finally started to relax and sag slightly. New tears wanted to form, but I gulped them back and plastered my best fake smile on my face.

“Want to tell me why my big brother was following you around tonight?” Cole asked. His voice held a slight command.

I may find it warming when his brother used that tone, but he wasn’t Marcus.

  “No,” I tell him coldly.

  Chapter 16

  Marcus

I was watching her bedroom window, and the cold air seeped into my clothes as the night grew colder. I couldn’t leave. I needed to see her, just a glimpse.

My brother caught sight of me an hour ago. The fucker took long enough. I’ve been here since they returned from the gallery.
<
br />   Walking away from Willow was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. Taking someone’s life was simple compared to this.

Her eyes had lit up when the lady who owned the gallery spoke to her. She basically sold out. I knew that she was almost to her goal, almost to the point of fulfilling a dream.

I’ve never been prouder than I was of Willow. Snarling in frustration, I shifted my weight from one foot to the next. I’ve been out here for hours.

Cole finally decided to come have a one on one chat. The fucker was supposed to be watching her, protecting her.

“Get the fuck back inside,” I growled coldly.

“What the fuck are you doing here?” Cole asked me coldly.

“Watching. What does it look like?” I said to him.

“I don’t need you to hold my fucking hand, Marcus. I’ve got this,” his voice was full of anger.

“I’m not fucking watching you,” I informed him. My eyes still on that fucking window.

“Tell me you didn’t,” his voice had taken on a pleading tone.

I could only stare at him. His eyes widened. The realization that I crossed the line had his lips moving, but no words formed.

“Don’t fucking say it, Cole. I’ll rip your fucking throat out,” I promised him.

If he said one word, that would make her look bad or what we did sound wrong. If he did, he would be dead, brother or not.

“Fuck! What are you going to do?” He asked me.

I didn’t have an answer to that. But I knew one thing, I couldn’t leave her.

  She’s mine.

The thought drifted through my mind causing my fists to clench and my stomach to twist.

“Get back inside, Cole,” I demanded.

Without a word he turned and left. He walked away, leaving me alone. Leaving me to stare at that window, waiting for her to walk by it.

Another hour passed and still nothing. When the lights went out, my heart stopped. Any hope of seeing her beautiful face left me.
