Marshall couldn't respond, didn't want to. He loved what he was doing. He cupped Danny's balls in his palm, rolling them around as his tongue and mouth continued to work on his cock. He would never tire of this.

"Marshall…" Danny's voice cracked as his fingers tightened in his hair.

He loved knowing he was the only man to bring Danny pleasure, and he hoped he would be the only man ever to do it. He was falling so hard and fast for him that it should have scared him, but it didn't. Nothing had ever seemed so right.

Marshall wasn't shocked when Danny cried out and cum hit his tongue. He'd been ready for it, able to tell by the way Danny's muscles had tightened, the way his balls had contracted. He swallowed greedily, swallowing all he could.

"I didn't mean to…" Danny sounded a mix of worried and pleased.

With a final swipe of his tongue, Marshall released him. "I loved it."

"It was so fast. I didn't warn you." Danny's head was back against the pillows, his eyes closed, his chest rising and falling hard with every breath.

"Your body warned me, and it's never too fast. I like that my mouth feels that good on you. I like that I can please you that way." He kissed Danny's shoulder as he tried to ignore the way his own cock was pulsing with need.

"It feels so good when you do that."

"Good thing I enjoy doing it then, isn't it?" Marshall grinned.

"I wish I could…" Danny sighed and shook his head.

"It's okay. You don't have to. There are other things we can do that I enjoy. I would love for you to use your hand on me." What he really wanted was that thick cock inside him, but that would hopefully happen later.

  "Is it enough?"

"You're enough. Anything you do to me is enough," Marshall assured him. He brushed his lips over Danny's. "Do you want to watch me do it?"

Danny opened his eyes. "No, I want to be the one to do it for you." He shifted to his side. "Lay on your back."

Marshall did as he was told while also staring into Danny's eyes to make sure that he really was okay with what they were doing.

  "If I hurt you…"

"I'll tell you, but you won't. Just stroke me. You'll know by my reaction what I like and what I don't. I'll warn you before I come." Marshall's cock was standing rock-hard at attention. "I'm so turned on I don't think I'll last long once you touch me."

Danny slowly wrapped his hand around Marshall's cock, then started to move his hand up and down him. He used the precum to coat his hand, but it wasn't enough.

"Hold on." Marshall stretched to the nightstand and pulled out a bottle of lube. "Use a little of this. It will help you."

Danny took the bottle and glanced at the label before popping the cap open and dripping some of the clear liquid on his palm. He replaced his hand around Marshall and started stroking him again. "Better?"

  "Yeah, for you?"

"Yeah, this helps." Danny watched carefully as he worked Marshall's cock.

He traced the ridges, worked around the head, explored lower as he teased his balls. At times, it was more like an exam, but Marshall loved every moment of Danny's touch. He fisted his hands at his side as he tried to keep from moving, but he needed to come so badly that it was impossible not to lift his hips and feed his cock into Danny's fist, setting the rhythm for them.

Danny caught on fast, moving his hand quicker, tightening it around the head, then twisting it just enough to drive Marshall crazy.

It didn't take long before Marshall cried out a warning, "I'm close."

Danny smiled as he stared at Marshall's cock expectantly.

When his release came it had him nearly doubling over as wave after wave of pleasure coursed through him. He grunted each release as the hot cum shot from him, falling over his cock and onto his stomach. He fell back hard against the pillows, trying to catch his breath.

  "Can I taste it?"

Marshall's eyes flew open. That was the last thing he expected. "Yes, if you want."

Danny scooped some of the cum off Marshall's skin with a single finger, then lifted it to his mouth. He sucked it from the tip of his finger and smiled. "You taste different than…" Danny closed his eyes.

"It's okay." Marshall reached out and touched Danny's shoulder. "I'm glad it's different. I wouldn't want you to remember him when you taste me." He drew Danny to him gently. "Come here and lay with me. You've taken all my energy." He kissed Danny as he curled him up beside him.

"I didn't mean to think about him when I'm with you," Danny whispered.

"It's okay. I'm not mad. I like that I'm different than he was. I don't want to be anything like him." Marshall closed his eyes as he continued to hold Danny close. "In time, he'll be forgotten, but don't ever feel bad for anything you say. I love you."

Danny stiffened beside him. "Did you mean to say that?"

Marshall laughed as he opened his eyes and stared at Danny. "I told you I thought I was falling in love with you before. Saying it now shouldn't surprise you."

Tears filled Danny's eyes. "I never thought anyone could love me after…" He swiped his hand over his eyes.

"I never thought I'd love anyone, but you make it easy. I can't help but love you. You're everything I've ever dreamed of having by my side." Marshall used his thumb to catch a stray tear against Danny's cheek. "I love you, Danny. I mean that with every bit of my heart."

"I love you too." Danny smiled, blinking back more tears. "I love you too, Marshall."

"Then relax and let me hold you." He drew Danny into his arms. "Thank you for tonight." He mumbled the words against Danny's hair.

"Thank you," Danny whispered. "Thank you for all of this. Thank you for saving me."

"You saved yourself. I'm just glad I can be beside you for it all." He caressed Danny's back.

Danny didn't respond and after a few minutes, Marshall realized he was asleep. He took a deep breath, thinking about everything that had happened since they met. This was right. Being together was right. Somehow, something horrible had turned into something beautiful, and he was blessed that Danny had come into his life. They still had a lot to get through, but together, he was sure the future would only get better.

  CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE

Danny wished they hadn't chosen to go to a movie. Now they were stuck in the dark, unable to use their cell phones and find out what was going on with the sting in Colorado Springs. It was still early, and they'd told him they wouldn't go in until after midnight, but it didn't matter. He didn't like being out of contact.

Going out to dinner and a movie gave them an alibi, proving they were in the Denver area if anyone questioned them, but being out was the last thing he wanted. He wanted to be at the STK house, watching video feeds, listening to calls, praying that it really was Larry they were going after.

His stomach ached, and he worried he'd throw up everything they'd eaten at dinner. He couldn't calm his nerves no matter how he tried.

"Easy, we'll be home soon." Marshall leaned close as he spoke, his fingers linked with Danny's.

  "I hate not knowing."

  "They aren't even there yet."

  "You're sure?"

"They never go in early. Being out of town, they'll stick to the plan. Xander, Matt, and Jeremy are at the house. They'll call us if there is any news."

Danny sighed, trying to focus on the movie they'd picked, but he'd lost track of what was going on nearly as soon as it started. He couldn't stop thinking about everything. Memories of his torture played through his mind, then fantasies about what the team would do to Larry would replace them. He thought about the children there, wondering if Larry had abused them too. He just wanted this over with.

It seemed like hours before the final credits ran and they were finally able to get up and leave the theater. The night was cool as they stepped out into the darkness. He glanced up at a nearly full moon and sighed. "I'm a mess," he admitted to Marshall as they walked toward the car.

"I know, but it will be over soon. We'll go home and have some ic
e cream and wait for their call. I've made sure we've walked by enough cameras to prove we were here, and we have our receipts if anyone asks. I think we're safe to go home now."

Danny glanced at his phone, frustrated to see no calls or texts. "What if it's not him?" He was so hopeful it was that he wasn't sure he could handle if it wasn't.

"Then we keep searching. We'll watch his mother's grave. But I'm pretty sure they'll get him tonight. Too many things link him to the place. I'll be shocked if it's not him."

"If it is, how long will he be in the hospital before he goes to jail?"

"That depends on a lot of things. I'm guessing a week or more, but if he has other problems we don't know about or if the doctor is over-cautious, it could be longer. The reconstructive surgery isn't hard, but everyone heals at a different rate. The police will keep a guard on him while he's in the hospital. He won't get away." Marshall paused as they got to the car. "If everything goes right, it will be over tonight."

"Except for the court case." Danny shuddered.

"Yes, but you can stop looking over your shoulder, stop worrying that other kids are being hurt." Marshall brushed a kiss over Danny's mouth. "I'll be with you through whatever comes. You're not facing him alone ever again. Let's get home." Marshall opened the passenger door for him.

Danny sank into the seat, trying not to think about how many things could go wrong. If anyone on the team got hurt or arrested, it would be because of him. He couldn't live with himself if anyone was hurt or worse killed. It didn't matter how many times the team assured him they knew what they were doing, he still worried. Faith had told him stories of injuries, gunshot wounds, stabbings. It only took a second for everything to go wrong.

"A couple more hours and it will be over." Marshall started the car before reaching for his hand.

He nodded but remained silent. What could he say? There was nothing to say. It was too late to cancel everything, and honestly, he didn't want to. He wanted Larry to pay for what he'd done and wouldn't do anything to stop tonight from happening, but he still couldn't calm his nerves.

"Jeremy is going to ask Gary to join the team. He wanted to know if you wanted to be there when he does it since he's your counselor." Marshall pulled out on the road.

"Is that normal? Does he always have people with him?"

"I know when I was hired, I was contacted by Jeremy and met him for coffee first, but then went to dinner and met the others before going back to the house. It's up to you if you want Gary to know you're involved in all this or if you want to remain in the background."

"He'll find out if he joins the team anyway, won't he?"

"Probably in time, but as you're not an official team member, you won't be on the list of people D gives him to talk to. There's a chance Gary won't be around the house often since he's not actively hunting people. Though I've met Gary when I've dropped you off and I'll have to start seeing him, so it will link you that way."

Danny thought about everything. It was probably best to be open with Gary from the start. So far, he hadn't lied to Gary about anything and he didn't want to start now. Not that it would be a lie, but it was a pretty big piece of information. "I'd like to be there. In fact, Jeremy and D can just come to one of my appointments if they want. It might be easier."

"I'll have Jeremy and D talk to you and make plans." Marshall sighed. "I have to admit, I'm not looking forward to being forced into talking to someone."

"Gary's easy to talk to. He won't force you to talk about things. Besides, it's just about work, right? He won't dig into your personal life. He won't ask about us, will he?"

"I don't think so other than maybe to make sure what I do isn't affecting my relationships, but he knows you so he should be able to tell if there are issues. You talk about us to him, don't you?"

Danny ducked his head, hoping that it wasn't going to be a problem that he did. "A little."

"Hey…" Marshall gave his hand a squeeze. "I expect you to talk about us to him. I'm part of your life, part of you getting used to things again. I want you to have someone to talk to about us. I know Jessica seems to be your best friend, but I'm sure you can't talk to her about everything."

Danny swallowed hard. The truth was, he'd had some pretty intense conversations with Jessica about Marshall. She was the one who kept suggesting new things to try in the bedroom, many of which he still didn't dare.

Marshall glanced over at him and raised a brow as the sides of his mouth quirked up. "You do talk to Jessica?"

"Some," Danny admitted. "She has some good ideas and suggestions sometimes. I don't know if it's because she's a woman or what, but I'm not as embarrassed to talk about certain things with her."

  "Like sex?" Marshall grinned.

Danny shrugged, embarrassed to admit it. "Maybe."

"It's okay. As long as she's not spreading information about our sex life to the whole team, I'm glad you have someone to talk to about things. But now I'm curious. What kind of suggestions?"

  Danny coughed.

Marshall laughed. "Okay, you don't have to tell me, but I hope if they are good, you'll let me in on them sometime."

"She says I should try fucking you if you'll let me. She's worried I'm scared of sex, which I am, but she says the best way for me to get over my fear is with action. She told me to…" He shook his head, unable to say the words.

Marshall glanced over at him again, not looking angry at all with the topic. "What did she say?"

"That I should take you so hard that you can't sit in front of the computer the next day." Danny stared out the window, unable to look at Marshall as he said it.

  Marshall laughed. "I'd love that."

Danny's head snapped around. "You would?"

"Hell yes! I've dreamed about having you inside me since our first time together. I told you a long time ago it's what I like. If I couldn't sit the next day it would mean we did something right. I'm hard just thinking about it."

"You are not." Danny glanced down, unable to tell with the darkness of the car and the way Marshall was sitting.

Marshall took Danny's hand and placed it between his legs. "I'd love to have you make love to me when you're ready for that. There's no rush for us to do it, but you need to know that if you want that to happen, I'm okay with it. I know your experiences with sex have left you hesitant to do things, but between two people who care about each other, it can be good. I'm fine if we never do it, and I'm also fine if you never want me to do that to you, but if you ever decide it's what you want, my ass is all yours."

Danny tried to imagine doing that with Marshall but all he could remember is the pain at having it done to him. He'd never enjoyed it, even after he got used to the pain. He wasn't dumb enough to think that Marshall would treat him the way Larry had, but he still found it hard to think of it being pleasing. "We'll see. I'm not ready for that yet."

"Okay, and don't let me or Jessica tell you that you should be ready. When you are, you'll let me know. As I've said before, what we do now is more than enough."

He was sure Marshall would never push for more, but was what they did now really enough? He worried that in time it wouldn't be. Why would Marshall want to be with someone broken when he could be with someone who could give him everything? He couldn't think about that tonight. He needed to focus on what the team was doing in Colorado Springs. He glanced at the clock on the dashboard display seeing it was just after eleven. Waiting was going to kill him. He glanced over at Marshall as he pulled the car into the driveway. "You'd tell me if it's ever not enough, right?"

"I would, but I doubt that would ever happen. I'm happier now than I have ever been. I've been in relationships in the past that were based just on sex. They weren't what I wanted. I like what we have. We're connected in a way that is deeper, more emotional. Sex is great and I love what we do, but it's not what makes us work. I'd still love you without it." Marshall shut off the car before leaning over to kiss him. "I love you for who we are, not what we do in bed. Now let's ge
t inside and wait for that call." He kissed him once more before pushing his door open and getting out.

Danny followed, meeting him at the front door.

As soon as they were in, Marshall turned to him. "You're not worried about our sex life, are you?"

Danny shrugged. "Not really, but I do wonder why you'd want me when you could have someone that wasn't scared of everything."

"Because they aren't you. It's the man I fell in love with, not the sex. Sex is what we do, not who we are. I like talking to you, being with you, eating your great meals, watching movies you haven't seen. If I hated all that and only wanted sex, then I'd find someone else, but it's everything else we do together that makes us perfect. Sex is a small percent of what makes us work. I don't want anyone else. I only want you."

Danny hugged Marshall. "Thank you." He led them to the couch. "When I was being held, I used to wonder what it would be like to be with someone who cared about me. I didn't have a lot to base things off other than what I saw when I was little and with my mom, which wasn't a lot, but I'd imagine having someone to play video games with or watch movies. Someone to talk to and laugh with. I wasn't allowed to talk with Larry, and sometimes I just wanted someone to talk to about nothing important. I just wanted to hear someone else's voice."

"You can always talk to me. As for video games, I try, but you're better off with someone like Faith or D."

"Faith kicks my ass. It's no fun."

"Yeah, we all say that about her." Marshall grinned. "I'm going to miss her when she leaves."

"Me too, but she's promised to keep in touch if she has time. It sounds like school is going to keep her really busy. I'm jealous in a way. I wish I'd had a chance to pick a career early in my life and work toward it. It sounds like she's wanted to be a doctor forever."

"I think since she was saved. She's really close to Beau. He's the doctor for the other team. It's not too late for you to find your passion. I wouldn't be shocked to see you go on to be a chef someday. You seem to love cooking. But even if it's not cooking, you can figure out what you want to do. Once Larry is locked up, you'll be able to go out and fulfill your dreams."
