Margaret came into the room to bring him a cup of steaming, fragrant broth. He smiled at her and loved the smile she gave him in return.
“Do you think they will care when I tell them what I have done and experienced?” he asked.
“Of course they will care. It is the truth, isn't it?”
He sipped the broth as she left him alone. He stared at the words he had written. Yes, it was the truth. And it was up to him to make the truth known.
He set aside the cup and took up the pen, dipping the nib into the ink. The words he scripted so beautifully and with such care meant the world to him. He would surely have time enough to finish.
