Kiss Me in Silicon Valley: The Juliette Trilogy (The Princesses of Silicon Valley - Book 2)
Page 13
Reaching up, I brush his face with my fingers. I’m unable to say anything. He kisses my exposed neck, creating a line of kisses until he, again, has reached my lips where we resume a deep, probing kiss. At some point, I back away, just a little, needing to catch my breath, I gasp for air. Our eyes meet. Grappling for words, he beats me to it as he rasps out, “Juliette, I want you.”
Smiling with only my lips, I shut my eyes as I pull myself together. Finally, I whisper, “I need to go inside.”
Our foreheads meet; his hand cradles my face as mine cradles his. We stay in this position for maybe a minute. Both of us are breathing deeply. Finally, he moans, then asks in a whisper, “Can I join you?”
Gasping for air, I stare at Nate, pulling together all my reserves I say, “Not this time, not this night.”
He nods. “Tomorrow, can I see you tomorrow?”
Smiling, I pull away so I can look in his eyes as I nod, “I’d like that.”
“I’ll text you in the morning.”
Nodding my head, I bite my lower lip. “I look forward to it.”
Grabbing a hold of my purse, I fish out my keys. Looking back up I see Nate watching me, his eyes are dark with desire. With a shy smile I say, “Tomorrow,” as he slowly nods.
He watches me as I open the door, smiles then his eyes squint and his face gets a quizzical look. With the tip of his chin, he asks, “Who’s that?”
Turning to look across the street, I realize there’s a tall, lean man with his arms crossed. I can tell he’s been watching us. Shit, is that Zach?

Author’s Note
Writing this series has been an incredible experience. I’ve spent many enjoyable hours developing Juliette and her wonderful group of friends. I hope that you have as much fun reading about them as I have had creating them.
I’d like to give a special call out to Yinka Bogdan. Yinka’s been a supportive friend who has been instrumental in assisting me with my early efforts as a writer. She has provided me with a great deal of invaluable insight. Also a call out to my wonderful beta readers who gave me great insight, Ann Quesinberry, Deb Kiger, and Margie Dean.
