A Four-Gone Conclusion: Lone Star Lovers, Book 5 Page 7

by Delilah Devlin

  “Give me another chance?”

He heard a sigh. Felt warmth close to his back.

“I already called in sick,” she said, leaning her head against the back of his shoulder. “We’ve got plenty of time to figure out other ways to piss each other off. I’m not goin’ anywhere.”

  “I wasn’t lettin’ you.”

He glanced over his shoulder to find her grinning at him. His own mouth stretched into a smile.

Her expression softened. “I think that’s another first. A genuine smile. You’re a handsome man, Johnny Logan.”

Johnny leaned back and waited. She leaned around him. The kiss she gave him was sweet. The nip she gave his bottom lip was sharp.

“Just so you don’t go thinkin’ I’m gonna be easy from here on out.”

“Baby, I’m not takin’ a thing for granted.”

They sat on the itchy carpet, staring at each other until Ellie’s eyelids dipped. “I’m not through playin’. You all right with that?”

Johnny grunted but nodded, happy she was enjoying herself. He nodded toward the kitchen door. “Those three probably have their ears to the door.”

“Well, they’re in the kitchen—they’re headed the right direction. Think they can rustle up something for us to eat? I’m starved. And since it looks like I’m the one who’s gonna be burnin’ the most calories, they can feed me.”

  Chapter Six

Ellie felt a tug on her hair, and reached back to swat away the fingers as they pulled again. She muttered and snuggled deeper into the warmth surrounding her.

“Ellie.” The whisper was quiet but insistent.

She cracked open an eye to find Killian hovering over the bed.

He curled his fingers. “Come with me.”

She stretched, but arms enfolded her from behind. She was sandwiched between the sleeping twins. Johnny had left her with them sometime during the night to rest while he’d showered.

Killian offered his hand and pulled her up. The twins muttered and rolled to their backs. She spared a glance for each of them. They were beautiful, after all, and she’d had the pleasure of exploring their taut, toned bodies, one lick at a time. Even with their cocks softened, a lazy curl of heat stirred inside her.

A soft chuckle sounded. “We’ve created a monster.”

She gave him a baleful glance, noting for the first time that he was dressed. Had he come to take her home? She felt her face fall.

“Sweetheart, it’s not over. Come with me. Johnny and I have a surprise for you.”

Eager now, she slipped from the bed.

“Five minutes, then meet us on the porch.”

She hurried through a shower and dressed in her jeans and diner T-shirt. When she wandered through the living room toward the door, she heard a whinny.

Bemused, she slipped out the front door to find Killian and Johnny astride horses. Killian’s was red with a long flowing mane. Johnny’s was a pretty, splotched gray.

  “You’re going riding?”

  “We’re going riding,” Killian said.

Johnny pulled on his reins, guiding his horse beside the steps, then he kicked free of his stirrup and held out his hand. “Step into the stirrup. I’ll pull you up behind me.”

She bit her lip and gave him a dubious look. “I’ve never been on a horse.”

The men shared a glance. Both smiled.

Johnny curled his fingers twice, a gesture she was tempted to tell the men might work better on a dog, but she kept her tart comment to herself, not wanting to spoil their surprise.

Taking a deep breath, she climbed down to the first step, then accepted his roughened hand while stepping into the stirrup. He pulled her up so fast, she gasped, swinging her leg instinctively over the back of the saddle and scooting closer so all of her ass was over the lip.

“It’s high up here,” she squeaked.

Johnny gave her a look over his shoulder that was at once reassuring but also managed to make her hot all over.

“I won’t let anything happen to you,” he said, his voice a rusty grumble.

She slid her hands around his waist and pressed herself close to his back. “I’ll hold you to that. So we’re goin’ for a ride?”

Killian trotted his horse up beside Johnny’s. “We’re gonna check the herd. Thought you might like to get some fresh air and maybe see what it is we do.”

The ride to where the herd was gathered in a far pasture took long enough the gray dawn burned away by the sun rising swiftly over the horizon. Everywhere she looked filled her with a sense of awe. Tall green grass rustled to the slight breeze. Birds twittered from the branches of mesquite and lone oaks. Before they topped a hill, she could smell the herd. The odor wasn’t overwhelming, but put her to mind of the faint scent the boys brought into the restaurant. A scent she’d never minded, because it reminded her of what they were.

The herd was large and stretched across the shallow valley they entered. “It’s beautiful.”

  Johnny snorted.

  “You don’t think so?”

His shoulder shrugged. “Didn’t think a woman would appreciate it.”

She pinched his belly. “Don’t go makin’ assumptions about what I like, Johnny Logan.”

“I told you. I’m not takin’ a thing for granted.”

They pulled to a halt atop a grassy knoll overlooking the valley. Killian dismounted then came around to Johnny’s horse and held up his arms. Clumsily, she let him drag her down to the ground.

  She winced when she straightened.

“Sore?” he asked, a hint of a smile in his eyes.

She wrinkled her nose. “A little. You must think I’m a wuss.”

“Not even. I’ve seen you in action.”

Ellie blushed and ducked her head, aware of every movement behind her as Johnny dismounted and led the horses to a tree to tie them off.

Killian pulled a thin blanket from a saddlebag and spread it on the ground. Johnny brought a lumpy paper sack and a thermos and knelt on the blanket. He pulled out three apples and a chunk of cheese. “Just a snack. We’ll go back for a proper breakfast.”

“This is fine. Just enough,” she reassured him, happy that they’d planned to spend some time alone with her. “No one else around?”

Killian grinned. “No one but us. We sent the hands off elsewhere checkin’ fences. Come have a seat. Let us feed you.”

She knelt gingerly then sat on her bottom, hiding a grimace for the slight ache, watching as Johnny pulled a pocketknife from his jeans and carved a slice of apple. He held it out for her.

“I could get used to this,” she said. She took a bite of sweet apple and moaned. She hadn’t realized how hungry she was.

Johnny’s smile was soft, but his gaze was sharp, watching her so closely she wondered if she had a smudge on her face. “Stop it.”

  “Stop lookin’ at you? Can’t.”

She turned away, feeling shy and knowing it was completely ridiculous given all things he’d observed her do, all the things he’d done to her. Another sliver of apple was shoved in front of her and she took it. Then a slice of cheddar.

When he handed her the thermos cap filled with steaming coffee, she sighed and closed her eyes. “The perfect breakfast.”

  “Because you didn’t cook it?”

She laughed and shook her head. “No. Because of where we are and who I’m with.”

Killian stretched out on the blanket next to her, leaning on an elbow. “It’s not a bad life.”

“So are you back to the sales pitch? Are we gonna talk about pie again?”

The wrinkles beside his eyes deepened as he smiled. “No, sandwiches maybe.”

Heat flared deep inside her belly. Her eyebrows rose. “Here?”

  “We fed you.”

Johnny’s lips twitched. That hint of humor was sexier than anything else she could think of at the moment. And since he didn’t seem opposed to the idea Killian proposed, she leaned back on her arms. “What do you have in m
ind?” she asked lazily.

Killian laughed. “Reach into the bottom of the bag.”

She eyed him with suspicion and picked up the bag, rooting into the bottom until her fingers curled around a tube. “Oh hell, no,” she muttered, pulling out the lube.

“We want to share you, Ellie. The two of us.”

Her breath caught and she eyed them both. Both so handsome. Both their bodies tense, as though waiting for her consent before springing into action. The thought of it was a delicious tease that sifted through her mind.

Sunlight, crisp grass—two well-made men, their darker skin blanketing her front and back. She fanned her face and glanced away. “Why bother asking?”

“Because this isn’t a game. It’s not for fun. Not something done in the heat of the moment. Give yourself to us now, and we won’t ever let you go.”

  “The two of you…?”

Killian reached for her hand and drew it to his mouth. He kissed her knuckles then opened her fingers and threaded his own between them. “I know you love Johnny. But I think there’s room in your heart for me too. We’ve talked about it. For now, he’s your number one. But if you think we might give it a try, I’d like to be a part of this too.”

She ignored the part about loving Johnny since it was so shocking, and she didn’t want to think it through with both men watching her. “You’ll let him be number one for now?”

He shrugged. “I like you. I’m attracted. I don’t know if I can shut it off if you choose only him. I’m willin’ to wait for you to know me better.” One brow arched. “I like to think I’ll grow on you.”

The thought was tantalizing. Sure, they’d mentioned it before, sharing her in the long-term, but she’d thought they were only teasing. However, the calm air of expectancy surrounding Killian said just how serious he really was. “What about Jason and Mace?”

“They were only playin’. They have plenty of playmates and never take a one seriously. They won’t have their noses out of joint if we keep you to ourselves.”

She could have Johnny. And Killian. “Sounds selfish. Like I’m getting more out of this than you.”

“Well, you’ll certainly never want for a thing in the bed department.”

“Relationships are about more than sex.”

“They can start with sex and liking each other.”

She opened her mouth, then shut it again, afraid to admit too much. Afraid to lay her heart out for the man who sat so silently beside them both. “What if I never feel as much for you as I do him?” she whispered, not looking up.

Johnny scooted closer and lifted his hand to cup her cheek, turning her toward him. His dark eyes burned with an intense heat. “You’ve got a big heart, Ellie. Even if you hide it behind a sharp tongue.”

“Open up to the idea of it,” Killian said. “It’s new, I know. A girl expects to love one man. I’m willin’ to wait.”

  “Why would you?”

He turned to look out over the valley. “I want family. It’s like Sam told us, ranchin’s a family business. But I don’t want a wife. Not one I have sole responsibility over. I’d share it, though. My mom and dad were married a long time, but hated each other. I have a tainted view of marriage.”

“What if you find someone you’d be willing to risk your heart for?”

He turned and winked at her, but his smile was sad. “I did. But she’s in love with my brother, my best friend.”

Her mouth dried, and tears filled her eyes. “It was the pie, wasn’t it?” she said gruffly.

“And the spice.” He tugged her down, framing her face, then lifted his head to kiss her.

“You don’t think this is ridiculously fast?” she asked when he let her up for air.

“Sam said we had the house to ourselves for four days.”

Ellie shook her head. “Your father told you to get yourselves wives?”

“He did. And since it only took him a weekend to woo his Gracie, he figured he’d give us a couple extra days because we’re a little slow.”

The glint of humor was back in his eyes, and she felt her mouth stretch slowly into an answering grin. “If that was what you consider slow…” She whistled.

  “Let us love you, sassy.”

Without another word spoken, they knelt in front of each other and began stripping each other’s clothes away while Johnny sat beside them.

“Does he need an engraved invitation?” she muttered.

“I think he likes to get worked up before he wades in.”

  “Sounds wet.”

“It will be.” He pushed her on her back and wrestled off her boots, socks and jeans, then quickly finished removing his own clothing. When they were both naked, he cloaked his cock in a condom and came over her.

He filled her vision and nestled close enough that not a part of her body wasn’t covered. She welcomed his weight and breathed in his fresh male scent. With his elbows planted, he cupped her head and kissed her, rubbing his lips against hers in a slow circle until she melted, sighing. His tongue slid between her lips and played with hers.

Her breaths shortened as her excitement escalated. Everywhere they touched, she warmed. Her breasts grew heavy, her nipples beading tightly and tangling in the light fur on his chest. Where his cock dug into her belly, her skin trembled. Her pussy grew moist, softening with lust. When he pulled away and centered himself between her legs, she opened willingly, crying out when he drove inside her.

He pushed through her moist tissue, tunneling relentlessly until he was fully gloved. “Nothing’s ever felt this good, Ellie,” he said, a rasp in his voice.

She combed her fingers through his thick hair, then dug in her nails to rake his scalp. “I know,” she whispered. “Lord, you fill me up.”

  “You sore?”

“Guess I should be, but I’m so damn wet…”

He pumped his hips, pushing, withdrawing, pushing deep again. “I’m gettin’ ahead of you. Should have played with your pussy for a while first.”

Clutching his shoulders now, she shook her head, breathing harder, because the heat flared swiftly, flames licking at her core. “Just move, damn you.”

He chuckled and came up on his arms, glancing down between their bodies. She followed his gaze, watching as he stroked into her over and over.

  “It’s a pretty sight.”

“Pretty’s not the right word,” she bit out. “Hot, it’s so damn hot.”

He hooked his hips, rubbing the tip of his slightly curved cock against her happy spot as he continued to drive into her. “Gettin’ it now?”

“You’re killin’ me.” But she held on to his hips, bent her knees and slammed up to meet each stroke.

When the spiral of her orgasm began, he suddenly halted.

She opened her eyes and glared. “I was right there.”

“You two, roll onto your sides.”

Startled by the rough growl, she rolled her head. Johnny had moved beside them. And he was naked.

Her mouth opened, taking in the sight of all his burnished skin, the firmness of his large cock. His mouth was a thin, tight line. “Do it now,” he said.

Killian snorted then cupped her buttocks to keep them connected, and rolled to his side, taking her with him. “Slide a leg over my hip.”

His arm slipped beneath her head to pillow it, and she did as he asked, sliding her leg over him, opening herself.

Behind her, Johnny scooted in close. His mouth skimmed her shoulder then pressed against her neck. “You know what I’m gonna do.”

“Taking first dibs?” she quipped, even though she was nervous. Johnny wasn’t small.

A gel-slick finger slid between her cheeks and rubbed against her anus. “My brother wasn’t wrong about a man wantin’ this. A woman has to trust. When she gives it, he feels like he’s a king.”

When he slid the finger slowly inside her, she hissed air between her teeth. “That’s just one of your thick fingers.”

  “You’re tight,” he admitted.
But you’ll take me.”

Her pussy and asshole tightened right up at the sound of his graveled tone.

Killian cupped her breast and played with the tip, twisting it hard, then plucking it over and over until it stung. But the pain distracted her, allowed her to ease around the intrusion of the two fingers that Johnny thrust inside her now. She undulated, just a shallow undulation because she burned, but it still felt too good to ignore.

The fingers pulled free, and she slumped against Killian.

“Don’t get too comfortable,” he whispered against her hair.

She huffed a breath. “As if.” Behind her, she heard the snap of latex, and groaned even before Johnny’s hands sought her ass again.

He parted her. The thick round head pushed between her cheeks.

The pressure was too much. He was too damn big. “Oh-oh-oh…”

“Shhh,” Killian said, kissing her forehead.

She tilted up to brush her mouth over his. “Ever had a pipe rammed up your butt?”

His teeth gleamed. “And he’s gonna expect you to bounce all the way home on a hard saddle too.”

She gave a short, strained laugh, but concentrated on easing her muscles.

Johnny pushed again, and this time he sank inside an inch or two. His deep groan was worth the burn.

His hand clutched the notch of her hip. “I’m gonna start moving. You ready?”

“If I say no, will it matter?” she asked in a small voice.

  Both men chuckled.

“Baby, if it truly hurts, I’ll stop right now.”

It hurt all right. However, she was pinned front and back to the two men she’d wanted for the longest time. And Johnny’s breaths, gusting in her ear, spoke of how excited he was. She couldn’t deny him a thing.

“Just do it.” she whispered, then buried her face against Killian’s solid shoulder.

Johnny’s groan rattled in his throat, and he pushed deeper and deeper, his strokes slow and controlled. Killian growled between gritted teeth, but began to move his hips as well, matching Johnny’s rhythm.

Ellie held on to Killian, buffeted front and back, so overwhelmed by the sensations rocking her that her entire body shuddered. Smooth thrusts into her pussy. Johnny’s hard steel plowing into her from behind. She burned and ached, and was so damn wet, so hot, she felt on the edge of a huge explosion.
