Ms. Harkrader’s debut novel, Airball: My Life in Briefs, was described by School Library Journal as “a quirky combination of The Mighty Ducks meets Captain Underpants,” and was a Junior Library Guild Selection as well as a Bank Street College Best Book of the Year. In The Adventures of Beanboy, she combines her two loves—writing and illustrating—for the first time. She lives with her family on a farm in Kansas.
