Breaking Faith (The JackholeS Book 1) Page 44

by Joy Eileen

“Ummm, the last time I saw him was when he came into the bar. He tried to call me a couple of times, but I haven’t answered the phone. Why?” She walked into the kitchen to put the groceries away.

“I thought I saw him walking down the street.”

“Huh, he doesn’t even live around here. It was probably just someone who looked like him,” she said, shrugging it off.

“Yeah,” I replied, trying to shake the bad feeling I had away.

The rest of the day, we employed war tactics, torturing one another when we found the opportunity. Taking my opportunity when she bent down to get into the refrigerator, I leaned over and sucked on the back of her neck, making her moan quietly.

I was pretty smug, thinking she wouldn't get her revenge because everyone came home while she was cooking dinner.

She was patient though, and after dinner was cleaned up we were on the couch watching T.V. She leaned over pretending to get something, and brushed her hand across my half-hard dick. I had to readjust myself on the couch to hide my erection. She was going to kill me.

Feeling excited when I snuck into her room, I wondered if I was going to get any sleep tonight. I knew we didn't have all of our issues resolved, but with every touch I was breaking down her defenses.

When I pulled her to my side, I grabbed her chin and lifted her lips to mine. All of the touching we'd been doing had driven me crazy. I couldn't wait a second longer to taste her.

The kiss started off gentle, but when she melted into me and pushed her fingers into my hair, I lost it. Growling, I bit her bottom lip before sucking it into my mouth as I yanked her closer.

When my bare hands skimmed under her shirt, she lost control. She moved so she was straddling me, fisting her hands in my hair and plunging her tongue into my mouth, lost in the passion. She drove me crazy as she shamelessly rubbed herself against me.

Wrapping my arms around her, I flipped us over, needing to take control before I came in my pants. I pressed my bulge into her heat, wanting to be as close to heaven as I could.

I kissed down her face until I reached her neck. Sucking on it, I grazed my teeth over the sensitive area that drove her insane. She moaned loudly and tensed.

“What’s wrong?” I asked at her mood shift.

  “The boys.”

“Fuck them. I can’t control myself when I'm with you, and any resolve was removed when I had my first taste of you. When your affair with Mr. Tampon is over, I'm going to drag you up here and do what I've been wanting to since the moment I saw you. I don't care if you scream loud enough for the whole neighborhood to hear.” I held back telling her she was mine. It hurt to keep myself from claiming her even if it was with my words.

“Deal,” she replied, making my cock throb.

Moving off her, I pulled her to my side. I decided to let her get used to this before taking it further. Her situation gave her week to get used to being with me. She was quiet as we lay in the dark. I could hear her mind whirling, and I needed to get to her before she closed me out.

“What are you thinking, Slick?” I ran my finger over her pebbled nipple, afraid she was going to push me back into friend territory again.

“That I'm sick of fighting this thing between us,” she admitted, throwing me for a complete loop.

“About fucking time,” I told her as my chest puffed out. I kissed her with all the passion she unlocked with her confession.

“Kill, you realize this thing with Jason isn’t over. I'm sure he has something planned.”

She was trying to give me an out. What she didn't understand was I couldn't leave if I wanted to. Although I hadn't earned all of her trust, I refused to let her go, and I wouldn't let her get hurt. Jason would have to be dealt with. What she needed to realize was we were invincible when we were together.

“Faith, I've been with you since the moment I saw you, I'm not going anywhere. We will take care of Jason when the time comes. Now that I have you, I'm not letting you go.”

Calm washed over her at my words, but I knew she wanted to argue. So, I stopped any further discussion by rolling on top of her and kissing her into submission.

  About the author

Joy Eileen is a born bibliophile who becomes deeply engaged with her characters, and has devoured more books than she would like to admit. She becomes obsessed with happily-ever-afters, and will read any genre that fulfills that requirement. Evading the library is something she has been known to do, because after befriending the characters returning them would be a heartbreaking event. Books are held hostage on her bookshelf, and any author that makes her ugly cry becomes her sworn enemy. Nicholas Sparks is one of the many on the list of villains.

As a massage therapist, most of Joy's stories come to her while working. With the sound of classical music, and snoring from a half covered hostage, characters are created. The victim (massage patient) has no idea that while their body is being manipulated, Joy has traveled into distant lands creating landscapes and inhabitants as she goes. Her patients should be wary as sometimes they are pulled into her stories and turned into characters. Hero or Foe? Well, that depends on how they tip.
