Without thinking, I blurt, “Move in with me.”
“What?” she says as she leans up on her elbows. I can tell she’s conflicted.
Using the tips of my fingers, I brush the hair from her face and hook it behind her ear. “Move in with me.”
“Luca . . .” I know she’s going to say no.
“I’ve been lost without you,” I admit. “Move in with me. I’m not asking for forever, I’m asking for right now.”
Even though I am asking for forever. But she doesn’t need to know that right now. One day at a time.
“I’m not giving up my apartment.”
“You don’t have to. I’ll even buy it for you if it makes you feel better.” I lean up and kiss her lips, and then roll on top of her. “Please say yes.”
She searches my eyes. “Yes. I love you, Luca.”
“I love you too, Ariel.” I seal the deal with a kiss, and then I ravish her body one more time.
Ariel
I never meant to move in with Luca, but I said yes. I don’t know how he did it, but by the time I woke up, all my things were there. Luca assured me that my apartment was still in my name, a backup plan for me in case things didn’t work out the way I wanted.
I never meant to let him in, the man who shattered every wall I built around my heart, but I’m glad he did. He taught me how to live, how to love. The tattoo is so I never forget, whether I end up with Luca or not, to live life to the fullest and make memories, lots and lots of memories.

I love to write both sci-fi and romance/mystery books. I had planned to use a different pen name, but my readers encouraged me to use my name, citing that when they like a certain author, they want to know about all releases, and they also read different genres.
