“So what time is your appointment with Charlotte, babe?” Trevor asked about her next client on the schedule.

“At two. I brought her idea board home with me to finish up last night. She is going to be amazed that she can get the colors she's always loved, to look fabulous in her new house. I can't wait to get started on it if she likes what I have planned for her,” Symóne smiled triumphantly at her accomplished challenge to be able to pull any color scheme together.

“Are you going with her Faye?” he asked. Although her stalker was dead and his accomplice is serving twenty years in prison, he still felt uneasy about Symóne leaving his side, alone.

“Of course Trevor. It's my new job, remember?” she reminded him.

Since Angela had proven her dedication to the business and had been trained to open and close the store, also learning to deal with the other sales associates and customers in an authoritative manner, she was made the store's Assistant Manager under Faye.

Faye pulled double duty as the store manager while also assisting Symóne with her clients and their homes.

“Well, I was only checking, because I was going to go with her. But, since you are, Alex and I can hang out here and put some ribs and steaks on the grill,” he suggested.

Alex nodded in agreement, wanting some guy time and would love to hang out with Trevor and talk sports.

Symóne grinned with raised brows, knowing that she would be spending all day with her best friend, even after work today. She and Faye collected the design project idea board and headed out to Symóne's new SUV and loaded it, and some samples into the back and left to meet Charlotte at her home.

Trevor stood and checked his watch, “So…are you up for a trip to the grocery store?” he asked Alex. He too stood and followed Trevor outside and they both went shopping for dinner.

“Hey, so when is the big day, or have you even set one yet?” asked Trevor.

“Faye was thinking about a September wedding. That gives us six months to plan it and buy a house. Hopefully she'll find something she loves,” Alex smiled uncontrollably.

“What about you, what are you looking for in a house?”

“I don't care, as long as Faye is happy. I'll live in a box under a bridge as long as we're together and she's happy,” Alex shrugged.

“Well, I can honestly tell you that Faye is going to try to get as close to here as possible. I have some pull with the owner of the mortgage lender that Symóne and I used. I can put in a call and get you two an amazing rate for what you really want,” Trevor suggested.

“That would be great. I'll tell Faye,” Alex agreed. “So, how do you feel about becoming a father?”

Trevor smiled as he turned into the parking lot of the grocery store. The guys got out and went inside, Trevor grabbing a shopping cart. It was a sight that threw Alex off, since he had only seen him in work mode or at home. It was surreal watching Trevor being so human.

“All I can say is—I'm happy. I thought that I would be much older when it happened, figuring that it would take me a couple of years to get to a point in a relationship where I was ready to get married and start a family, but damn if Symóne didn't hit me like a wrecking ball. I bumped into her that first day, and I knew she was it for me. No matter what, I would make her mine. Now that it has happened, I'm glad that I stuck it out. She's my everything and I love her and our baby,” he drew in a deep breath, then continued. “We're going to find out what the sex is in a couple of weeks. You know Symóne, she's ready to get started on decorating the nursery,” he shook his head smiling at the thought.

They continued down to the meats and Trevor picked through some steaks, then picked up a couple of slabs of baby back ribs.

“Hey man, there is a woman at nine o'clock, videoing you with her phone,” Alex whispered. His years of military training and law enforcement, prepared him to be aware of his surroundings at all times.

Trevor didn't respond right away, he continued to place items in his shopping cart and when he turned to go in the direction of said woman, he couldn't help but to stare. She looked familiar, but at a distance, her identity wasn't clear. She quickly lowered her phone and turned in the opposite direction and began walking swiftly toward the front of the store.

“Do you know her?” asked Alex.

“No, but she does look familiar,” he started toward the produce department for salads, and some bell peppers for the grill. The guys continued their conversation, then headed to the register to checkout, and that's when they saw her again. This time, Trevor got a good enough look at her from behind that he realized she was the woman in the video footage when his firm was infiltrated. He left Alex standing in line to go further investigate, but by the time he weaved through several groups of people to reach her, she had disappeared. He continued to look around for her, even going out to the parking lot, but there was no sign of her.

Trevor's phone vibrated with a text message. He figured Symóne was on her way back home, but it wasn't from her.

Anonymous- Not just yet baby. We'll meet face to face one day soon
