He pressed a hand against his pulsing erection. His butt tingled. So long. So damned long.
He heard a soft sound from down the hall. He’d left the front door ajar. Quiet, then Snake stuck his head in the room, grinned, and raised an eyebrow.
Theodore pointed down the hall, and Snake disappeared. At least his room and Andy’s didn’t share a wall. Quietly, he slipped out of the room and closed the door. Andy had never been afraid to sleep with his door closed. Not a nightlight kind of kid. Whew. Glad of that tonight.
With a big inhale, he walked down the hall and opened his bedroom door. Snake looked up from where he reclined on the edge of Theodore’s bed—still fully clothed. He grinned. “I thought I ought to give you one more chance to change your mind.”
“Have you changed yours?” Stop giving me choices!
“Shit, no. Never will. But I have less to lose.”
No one could have put the problem more succinctly. But dear God, sitting on that bed leaning back on his forearm, Snake set new land speed records in sexy. His jeans hugged his powerful thighs, framing a lovely bulge in between. The muscles in his biceps flexed and released as he sat up. Wanting to see all that potential unveiled drove Theodore like a whip. He shook his head. “N-no. Didn’t change.”
Snake leaned forward, reached out, grabbed Theodore’s hand, and yanked him forward. Falling, Theodore wound up in Snake’s arms and flew through the air until he landed on his back on the mattress with about two hundred pounds of Snake pressing him down. Oh yeah.
Snake grinned and kissed his nose. “We’ll be really quiet.” Dive! He covered Theodore’s lips and pressed his hot, silky tongue deep into his mouth. Oh man, end of considerations and excuses. Theodore wrapped his arms around Snake’s neck and gave over to the rush of the kiss that sparked so much adrenaline, his vision turned white, then red.
Snake shifted his body a few inches and pay dirt, his long, hard cock bulge snuggled right beside Theodore’s. He started to move, a thrusting pulse against Theodore’s armed and loaded dick, every pump sending shocks of almost painful pleasure into Theodore’s balls and up his spine until his head—definitely—exploding.
Don’t want to come this way. “Stop. Clothes off!”
Snake raised his head and looked into Theodore’s eyes but didn’t stop thrusting. “But-it-feels-so-good.”
“Want to see you. All of you.”
He chuckled. “You smooth talker.” In one move, he rolled off Theodore and sat up.
Shit, mistake! He wanted to grab Snake back, but then he turned his head.
Snake pulled the T-shirt off, and it must have ripped out the band that held back his hair because the silky dark mane fell around his face.
Theodore actually gasped. Like someone pulled him into an art gallery blindfolded and then tugged off the cloth. Almost every inch of Snake’s chest glowed with color and pattern. Vines, flowers, and animals swirled and twisted across his torso—and what a torso. Somewhere under the art show, Snake’s hard, delineated musculature widened his shoulders and chest, cobbled his abs, and narrowed his waist.
“Sweet Jesus, you’re gorgeous.” The words came out breathy and reverent, and Snake seemed to accept them as such. He didn’t smile. Slowly he unfastened his belt, unhooked the waistband of his jeans, lay back on the bed, and revealed, inch by glorious inch, his hips, cock, thighs, and calves, until the denim lay in a heap on the floor.
Theodore moved closer, gazing at Snake’s amazing art. The tattoos on his belly, hips, and groin were not as dense as those on his arms, more lyrical and mystical, twining in black swirls as a frame for his truly awe-inspiring cock. No tattoos decorated that appendage—thank God, the idea made Theodore cringe—but a silver ring sparkled through the underside of his penis head. Wow. “I-I’ve heard of this but never seen it.”
“It’s called a Prince Albert or PA. Looks impressive but it’s actually pretty low-key as genital piercings go.” His cock actually jumped as Theodore stared at it. Snake chuckled. “He’s enjoying the scrutiny.”
“Doesn’t it hurt?”
“Now? Not at all. Feels good, actually. Hurt a tiny bit when I got it, but it’s thin tissue. Not much worse than ear piercing.”
Theodore swallowed. His ass knew just how to feel about this decoration. How quick could it get inside? He pulled off his own shirt, only the cool air reminding him he looked like a skinny girl next to Snake.
But Snake exhaled softly. “Oh wow, look at you. Even more beautiful than I imagined.” He grabbed Theodore’s khaki pants and pulled them off, then his boxer briefs. “You’re like an angel, all white and silky.” He ran a hand across Theodore’s flat stomach, then leaned down and ran a tongue over his lightly defined abs. “I love this. I could make a feast off this belly, drink champagne from your navel.”
Theodore snorted, but his body glowed with the admiration. Not something he got a lot of. And the man did have a special way with words.
Snake leaned forward and whispered, “I never asked. Do you top or bottom?”
“Uh, you—I mean, would you bottom for me?”
“Sweetheart, I’d hang by my heels and let you fist me if you want to.”
“Oh.” His breath flowed out like water. “Bottom. I like to bottom.”
“Ooooh.” Snake fingered the piercing on his cock. “You think this might feel good inside your butt?”
Theodore managed to nod but couldn’t drag his eyes from the PA and the huge head of the cock it pierced.
“You worried?”
“No.”
“Oh?”
“It’s been a while for me.” His lips felt dry.
“Want to work up to the cock? Maybe another day?”
He shook his head vehemently.
“Oh?”
Theodore couldn’t look away. Saliva collected in his mouth.
Snake started to chuckle again. “Is my sweet baby a size queen?”
A giggle escaped Theodore’s lips.
“You’ve come to the right place.” Snake grabbed Theodore and flipped him on his back. He scrambled to the edge of the bed, huge cock bouncing, and pulled condom packets and a small bottle of lube from his jeans pocket. Then he knelt by Theodore’s ass, pushed back his legs, and within a second pressed dollops of cool, sticky fluid into Theodore’s butt. “Oh man, you feel so good in there. Can’t wait.”
“Me either. Hurry, dear God, hurry.”
Snake worked his way up to three fingers as Theodore’s hips bounced and he moaned.
“Yes. Now, please.”
“Don’t want to hurt—”
“Now!”
“Okay!” He laughed and threw the lube bottle on the mattress, crinkled a condom packet, and finally, oh yes, finally pressed himself against Theodore. Snake murmured, “Let me see your eyes.”
Theodore opened wide and gasped, “These are the eyes of the man who’s going to murder you if you don’t fuck me this second.”
Snake panted like an animal. His nostrils flared, he gritted his teeth, and he pushed his body weight down onto Theodore’s hips. The big head stretched the hole. Theodore’s opening burned like fire. Then pop, inside and expanding Theodore’s channel as it forged deep into his body. “Oh man.” The words flowed out of Theodore long and slow.
“Too much?”
“Not even close.”
“Oh baby, you’re made for me.” He began to thrust in earnest, and Theodore surrendered all control of body and brain, soaring onto an ether of pleasure so intense he might never have fucked before.
They thrust together, perfectly timed, the PA dragging over Theodore’s prostate sending shocks of heat up his spine, frying his brain.
Balls bubbled with fire. Theodore’s cock dragged against Snake’s muscled abs and sparked on his belly button ring. Closer and closer. He desperately wanted to come and equally desperately wanted not to.
Snake hammered him, gasping for air, then leaned down. “I’m about to come like a volcano. You ready?”
&
nbsp; “Since the first moment I saw you!”
Snake’s eyes widened, the muscles in his jaw tightened, and he thrust deep, staring into Theodore’s face.
Never seen anything that sexy! Or that perfect. Theodore exploded in a blinding flash of cum, his head flew back, and pyrotechnics sparked in his brain as his hips convulsed with each wave of his orgasm. “Oh, oh—”
Snake froze over Theodore’s hips; he planted their lips together to catch the shrieks of pleasure and rode the tremors of both their orgasms down to the bed. They wound up in a heap of shuddering ecstasy.
Sweet Jesus, if Snake hadn’t remembered to shut them both up, would Andy be in here now? He wanted to care. He really did, but his arms tightened around Snake. When the universe gave you a gift horse of this astronomical proportion, no way would Theodore Walters look it in the mouth.
He must have drifted off for a while.
When his brain registered breath on his face, he fluttered his eyes open.
Snake lay inches from him, gazing at him. “Hi.”
Theodore grinned. “Hi. Did you sleep?”
“No. Didn’t want to run the risk.”
“Have I been asleep long?”
“Only a few minutes.”
“How can you be so responsible, when I’m obviously not?” He stretched his mouth in a self-disgusted expression.
“You deserve to let go a little every now and then. Let me do the worrying for a minute.”
He shook his head a little. “Thank you. This was wonderful.”
“It was, wasn’t it? Is Andy an early riser?”
“Yeah. Like most kids, he can’t wait to meet the day.”
“You know, there are a few great beaches near my house. If you and Andy happened to be there and I happened to show up—”
Did he dare? “That sounds like fun. I wouldn’t be able to stay long. I have to work on my dissertation defense.”
“Who’s on your committee?”
Interesting. Ask most people on the street how a PhD candidacy worked and they wouldn’t have a clue. “Uh, the professor who I’m TA for, Dr. Thurston, is my committee chair. He’s a good guy, but the department head, Dr. Ashworth, is also on it. He has to be, but I’m gradually learning he’s not my biggest fan. Sadly I haven’t got a political bone in my body, and academia—”
“Makes the UN look apolitical.”
“Yep.” He sighed. “There are two more people on the committee, and there’s a chance that either of them could be swayed if Ashworth turns against me. Of course, I have no idea who my reader is. I guess I’m kind of discouraged about the whole thing.”
“Is there some way I can help?”
Theodore smiled softly. “That’s so nice of you, but I don’t know how.”
“What if I asked you questions? I could read your dissertation and then pretend I’m this crappy Ashworth person.”
“You’d want to read it?” His mouth hung open.
“Sure.” He grinned. “What? You think I can’t understand it?”
Okay, that was exactly where his brain had been going. If Andy had said something that elitist, Theodore would have reprimanded him. So he said what was also true. “I can’t believe you’d want to bore yourself with a treatise on romance novels, but I’d welcome your help.”
“Can’t imagine it’s boring if you wrote it, but if it is, I’ll tell you so.”
Son of a bitch, this could be exactly what he needed. “I’ll bring a copy when we run into you on the beach in about—” He glanced at the clock that said 2:00 a.m. “—seven hours.”
Snake seemed to smile from his eyes to his relaxed cock. “Sounds perfect.”
“WHERE ARE we going?”
Theodore glanced over at Andy as he turned off the PCH into the crowded little neighborhood near the ocean. “I thought we’d try a new beach, but I’m not sure we’ll find a place to park. It’s early, so we might have a chance.”
“Is this a good beach?”
“Yes. Victoria Beach. You’ll like it, if we can get there.” He had no idea how much.
As they drove down the narrow side street with houses on both sides, a car pulled away from the curb. “There we go. A gift from the gods.” He pulled in with a smile.
He turned off the engine, and they gathered their towels and snack bag from the back. Andy glanced up. “Dad, do you think there are gods or just one God?”
All righty then. “It’s just an expression, Andy. That’s all.”
“Yeah, but do you believe in God?”
Oh shit, this is a test, and I’ve got no idea how to pass it. “How do you feel about it?”
“Well, Grandma and Grandpa are always telling me just what God believes.”
“Oh, interesting.”
He shrugged. “But if God’s like they say, if he sees everything and knows everything, then how can people know what he thinks? I mean, I don’t know anybody, even the president, who knows everything, do you? I know, they always say read the Bible, but I don’t get that. Some of those stories are pretty great, but I hear there’s a lot of stuff like slavery and people having more than one wife, and I don’t see how that can be true. If it isn’t, then how come they believe the other stuff? I don’t know, Dad. It’s pretty confusing.”
Sweet Jesus, this is my kid. He wrapped an arm around Andy. “Yes, I agree. We’ll keep discussing it, okay?”
“’kay.”
“But right now, waves and food.”
“Cool!”
They carried their bundles down the long stone stairs to the beach. The tide was halfway out, so they had lots of sand to choose from since only four or five people dotted the beach at that relatively early hour. They laid out their towels and flopped down to pull out their egg-and-turkey bacon breakfast sandwiches.
About halfway through the sandwich, feet appeared—big tattooed feet at that—in Theodore’s field of vision. He controlled his smile and looked up. “Snake?”
Andy sprang up. “Snake! Hi. How come you’re here?”
“I live right up the hill, remember?”
“Oh, I didn’t realize.”
Theodore patted the towel. “Come join us.”
Snake plopped down.
“We have two more sandwiches and will be happy to share.”
“Yes, Uncle Snake. You can have half of mine.” Andy tore his muffin and egg in two and proudly presented half to Snake.
Uncle Snake? Sharing his turkey bacon sandwich? Is hell freezing over?
They all munched down their food, then ran into the ocean, where Snake tossed Andy into the surf off his shoulders about twenty times until Theodore finally intervened to save Snake from permanent hunchback.
Before they parted, Theodore slipped a copy of his dissertation to Snake in a towel, and then he and Andy trudged up the stairs to their car.
When he’d pulled out of the gift parking space and pointed toward home, Andy glanced at him. “Dad.”
“Yes.”
“I really like Snake.”
Wasn’t that the very thing he’d wanted to avoid? Getting Andy attached to a boyfriend who could be gone in a month? “He’s a good guy.”
“Yeah. I think you like him too.”
Theodore glanced over at Andy in time to catch the little grin. “Oh really?”
“Yep. You sure smile and laugh more when he’s around.”
What the hell could he say to that? Quietly he maneuvered the rest of the route home to study and ignored his nervous stomach wondering what Snake thought of his dissertation.
Chapter Ten
THEODORE PORED over a pile of test papers on his desk in the tiny office and tried not to think about Snake. Yeah, good luck with that when his whole brain yearned to know what Snake thought of his dissertation and his whole ass yearned to have Snake’s big cock back in it.
Focus! He pulled a paper at random from the stack. Surprise me. Other departments could grade tests electronically, but since he was teaching literature and English, he refu
sed to do true/false or multiple-choice exams. His students had to at least pretend to be literate. It sure took a lot of time, however.
He read down the answers scribbled on the test in a handwriting that by itself should have disqualified the student from college, much less a study of literature. Theodore’s mouth opened and kept getting wider. This student observed that Elizabeth Bennet in Pride and Prejudice was probably a lesbian and Mr. Darcy was in for a lot of disappointment. Theodore dropped his head to the desk. For some people, true/false would be fine.
“Now, now, Theodore, don’t let them get to you.”
His head popped up, and a wave of relief accompanied his smile at the sight of the small, white-haired man. “Hey, Professor Thurston, so glad you’re back.”
“Sorry to leave you high and dry. I must confess I had a wonderful time.”
“I’m glad.” No way he could deny the high and dry part.
“So bring me up to date.” Something about his expression suggested he already knew at least some of the craptastic events, but Theodore ignored it and recounted the status on each class.
“Good. Leave it to you to keep things under control.” He sat back. “But I hear there was some kind of to-do with Dr. Ashworth over a variation from the syllabus in English Lit.”
Theodore let out a long stream of air and didn’t care if Dr. T. heard it. “He sure didn’t waste any time telling you.”
“No, he did not.”
“I simply asked the class to read one contemporary romance novel and compare its style and focus to Austen. Dr. Ashworth took exception. I’ve got to say that doesn’t portend well for my defense of my dissertation.”
Dr. T. frowned. “Unfortunately, that’s true. I realize now that I should have been more perceptive. I was—am—enthused about the originality of your topic, and I took his mild questioning as simply academic inquiry, not deep ethical opposition.”
Theodore’s chest actually ached, and he blinked hard. All that work. All those expectations.
“Don’t despair—yet. I hope to influence the other members of the committee.”
“You don’t think they’ll just panic and follow Ashworth like lemmings?” Of course in that case, it would be Theodore who went over the cliff.
