“I want you to fuck me,” she gasped. She needed to feel him inside her more than anything.

Jamie laughed playfully. “I said I liked it rough, not quick,” he said and kissed her neck. He buried his fingers deeper inside her pussy, kissing her lips and then he lifted one of her legs off the ground. Now she was exposed, spread, balancing precariously on one high heel.

Jamie started to thrust his fingers deep and hard into Lily. The sensation was incredible, almost painful. She gasped, feeling the tension build. She knew she was going to cum and she tried to remember if any man had made her orgasm this quickly. With just his fingers!

Lily heard a low moan from Jamie as she tried to close her legs with the intensity of her orgasm. She could feel her pussy contracting around his fingers, but he didn’t stop moving them. The pleasure was almost unbearable, and finally she couldn’t hold herself up any longer and her leg gave way. Jamie caught her easily, and untied the straps with one hand. He rubbed her clit gently, pulling every shiver of pleasure he could out of her orgasm. Lily, stood in front of him, hands around his neck.

“That was pretty good for number one,” he said playfully in her ear. Lily’s eyes widened.

“One of how many?” she said, finally recovering a little.

Jamie just winked at her, and she shivered. She was in dangerous territory, and she knew it. Every charming witty remark made her heart ache a little with wanting.

He slid his fingers from between her thighs and, before Lily realised what he was doing, put them to her lips. She looked into his eyes and opened her mouth, wrapping her lips around his fingers and tasting her own juices. She had never done it before, and was oddly surprised to find that it was turning her on again. After her most intense orgasm in years, she could feel the low throbbing returning between her thighs. She wanted to cum again. What was this man doing to her?!

Jamie watched her, his eyes dark with desire, as she held his hand and licked his fingers clean. When she wrapped her lips around them and sucked, pushing them in and out of her mouth he moaned.

“You’re killing me,” he said. Lily giggled. She felt a glorious thrill that she was giving him so much pleasure, and she wanted to give him more. It made her feel powerful, and sexy. Lily dropped to her knees and looked up at Jamie as she unbuttoned his jeans. Her hand cupped his bulging cock through the fabric, and she felt it pulse against her touch. She unzipped them, slowly, torturously, until Jamie pushed the jeans and his boxers off his hips to the floor. He stepped out of them, pulling off his shoes and then his hoodie, so he stood naked over Lily. She looked up at him, devouring his body with her eyes. He was gorgeous. Perfect. A tattoo snaked up his right arm and chest, a curl of it onto his neck. To say he was muscular was an understatement. Lily had never liked the term ‘chiselled’ but it was a perfect description. She wanted to reach up and run her hands across his abs, to touch every inch of him. A scar cut across the side of his stomach.

Jamie stepped toward her and laced his fingers into Lily’s hair. She met his gaze and then wrapped her lips around his cock. As she slid him into her mouth he moaned, closing his eyes as tightening his grip in her hair. Her heart was racing, she loved that she could give him pleasure. She never understood why women didn’t like doing this, the reaction was well worth it, and Lily thought she was one of the few women in the world who actually enjoyed it.

Jamie moaned as she slid him into her mouth even deeper. The tip of his cock pushed at the back of her throat, and she felt her eyes start to water. His hands made fists in her hair and he groaned. His grip tightened and she felt him pulling, almost painfully. She took her hands from where they were resting on his thighs and slipped them behind her back, wrapping one of her hands around the other wrist, giving him complete control of her head.

“Fuck yes,” he whispered, and pulled on her hair, sinking every inch of his cock into her mouth. She choked a little, and fought the desire to gag and pull away. When she closed her eyes she heard him whisper “try to relax.” Lily looked up at him and the intense pleasure in his face made her want to moan. He was looking down at her, his eyes dark and full, the muscles in his abs and arms tight. For a brief second she thought it was probably what he looked like before a fight, coiled and ready to dominate. It thrilled her and she felt a hot intensity spread between her legs. She wanted, no needed, him to touch her again. She relaxed, pulling back just enough to get a breath and then met his gaze, silently giving him control again. He thrust his hips forward, slowly at first, then faster and harder until she could barely breathe. She wrapped her lips around his cock and let the tip of her tongue slide up and down the length of him as he thrust into her mouth.

“Fuck me, Lily, that’s so good,” he moaned. He stepped back, watching her sit back, still on her knees.

“I need to be inside you,” he said, and he bent and scooped her up, turning and pushing her back against the wall hard. His hands cupped her ass and he held her easily as his cock slid inside her.

Lily moaned and closed her eyes as he entered her. He did it slowly at first, she could feel his cock opening her, filling her, the pressure deep in her belly. With her back pressed against the wall and legs wrapped around him she could barely move, only take the intense pleasure he was giving her.

“Remember you can say stop at any time,” he whispered in her ear.

Lily could feel he was holding back, being gentle. She bit her lip for a moment and then breathlessly whispered “Harder.”

Jamie moaned and slipped one hand from under her. He brought it to her chin and gripped it roughly, kissing her and biting her lips as he thrust into her once, banging her back against the wall. She yelped, a short surge of pleasurable pain radiating from inside her.

“Again,” she said, the word escaping her mouth in a moan. He lowered his hand and wrapped it around her throat, pinning her against the cold concrete wall. He pressed against her and began to thrust deep and hard inside her, pain mixed with pleasure, and Lily felt breathless from the constriction on her throat. It wasn’t enough to stop her breathing, or even hurt her, but it was enough to know he was in control. She was utterly and entirely his.

  Chapter Seven

On Monday morning Lily had to drag herself out of bed. She was sore, and as she showered her fingers grazed over a bruise on her arm. The thought of Jamie’s hand wrapped around it, holding her wrists down on his bed roughly, flashed through her mind and her heart sped up. She had spent the weekend at his apartment, a loft nestled between the gym below and arched glass and steel roof above. They had spent most of the weekend in bed. They ordered takeaway pizza, only getting up to shower. Every so often a train or tram would rumble overhead, making the whole building shake. After a few hours Lily was used to the noise, and she let the intermittent vibration lull her to sleep.

Lilys stepped into the shower, her thoughts on Jamie and the way he touched her. The endless, hours of sex. As she remembered his cock sliding inside her, she lowered her hand to between her thighs and she slid her fingers across her clit. A sigh escaped her mouth as she did, and she leaned back against the shower wall.

She hadn’t heard from Jamie since she left, but she had an idea to get his attention. With a grin she reached out of the shower onto the side of the sink and grabbed her phone. Keeping it out of the water, she clicked record and spoke to the camera.

“I’m thinking about you this morning,” she said, and then aimed the camera at the water splashing low on her stomach. She slid her hand between her legs again, roughly rubbing her thumb against her clit as she pushed two fingers inside. She was still tender, and a bit swollen, but Jamie had turned something on inside her that she was finding it hard to turn off. She needed to cum. She recorded until she was gasping and panting, leaning against the wall as her legs shook in orgasm. Then, before she lost her nerve, she sent it to him.

As she was drying off and stepping into her panties she heard her phone ding with a text. She grinned and opened it.

  “U
r fucking unreal. Can’t wait to get my hands on u again. xx” She dressed for work thinking about Jamie, giddy with the thought of seeing him again.

An hour later Lily stepped into the office from the lift and was greeted with near silence. There was a crowd of people gathered around the television on the far wall. In the background of the shot she could see a line of police vans and a cordon of tape strung across the road. The ticker on the bottom of the screen read 'Man's body found on Greater Manchester road’. As the camera panned out her stomach dropped. To the right was a row of familiar looking railway arches, and the camera stopped just short of where she thought Jamie’s gym was.

Lily pulled her phone out and rang his number. It went straight to voicemail. His phone must have been off. She looked back up at the screen and stepped forward, straining to hear the reporter. Finally she reiterated the street name, along with police advising motorists avoid the area. Lily took an unsteady step backwards and rang Jamie again. The call went to voicemail again.

Lily unsteadily pulled up the messages from Jamie, she didn’t even notice the video she had sent earlier as she shakily composed a text message asking him to call.

“Are you okay?” Steve’s voice startled her, and she turned around. He was standing close, his eyes narrowed. He looked at her face and then down to her phone.

Lily reddened automatically. And then angered.

“Were you looking at my phone?” she asked, it came out a little more accusatory than she intended.

He stammered. “No, not for long.”

Lily glared at him and then retreated to her office and closed the door. She lowered the blinds, Steve watching her through the glass the entire time.

She sat behind her desk and pulled up the news on her computer. The man’s body had been found in a ditch in the early hours of Monday morning, and a murder investigation had been opened. That’s all she could find out. Publicly anyway. She had left Jamie’s around 11, insisting that she get the tram home rather than him taking her. And then she heard from him again around 7 this morning. But she couldn’t shake the feeling that he was involved. Somehow. She tried to tell herself that it was just because he was on her mind, she was overthinking it. And then she felt guilty for assuming he would be involved anyway. Because he had a hard past, and a criminal record, that didn’t make him a murderer. Did it?

She found it hard to concentrate that day. Her cases were all relatively easy, straightforward interviews and little paperwork. At around two she took a lunch break, she didn’t have any more interviews that day, so she thought she’d make it a little longer than usual. She needed to get her head together, and wanted to try calling Jamie again.

“Lily?” her manager, Diane, jogged to catch up with her as she left her office. “I have a case I want you to follow up on. I know it’s a little outside of your usual remit, but you’re more than qualified to handle it. You’ve been impressive so far these past few weeks. We’re really happy to have you,” Diane smiled and handed Lily a folder.

“What is it?” she asked, opening it and glancing at the paperwork inside. The first thing that caught her eye was a photo of a young girl with bright blue eyes.

“It’s not exactly a missing persons case, but it’s close. We’ve been trying to track down this child and the mother is being elusive. She’s answering the phone, but avoiding visits. And she’s moving around a lot. We just need a welfare check on the little girl.”

Lily’s heart ached. She hated cases like this. Children caught in tangles of custody battles and failed housing, jumping from one place to another but never finding a home.

“Of course, I’ll look into it,” she said.

“Thank you,” Diane smiled and turned down one of the corridors.

The sun was out when Lily stepped outside. It cast long shadows on the pavement, and it was a warm afternoon. The orange glow from the sun bounced off the red brick of the buildings, making the city glow. She stopped at a coffee shop and ordered a latte, swiping some water off an outside table and settling down to read the file. Above her a tree full of starlings clicked and chirped. The square was mostly empty, but she watched a young girl lay a bouquet of flowers against a memorial.

Lily sighed and opened the folder, in need of a distraction from thinking about Jamie. Inside were a few sheets of papers and the photograph of the girl. There were some printed and handwritten addresses scattered through the notes, some of them with question marks beside them, some crossed out.

Lily opened a notebook and made a neat list of all addresses in the folder, along with last known dates. They were scattered from one side of the city to the other, and she sighed, knowing it would be impossible to visit all of them. The closest one was a few miles outside the city, so she finished her coffee and jumped on the tram.

After two hours of knocking on doors she was tired and weary and hadn’t made any progress, so she returned to her flat. Her phone was still ominously silent, and she was starting to feel like she had been dumped. Used and tossed aside. She crawled into bed and curled up in a fitful sleep.

The next day she dressed for work, feeling like every movement was an effort she couldn’t take. She chastised herself for letting a man make her feel like this. Sometimes people just aren’t interested in you, she told herself. It isn’t a reflection on your value. But the knot that formed in her stomach when she looked at her phone made her doubt this.

The office was busy when she walked in, and she tried to make a b-line straight to her office. Steve stepped in front of her. He was eating a donut and had sugar stuck to the corners of his mouth. It made Lily want to be sick.

“What’s wrong, Steve?” she asked, unable to hide the irritation in her voice.

“It’s been a busy morning,” he said, his voice was smug and a smile was playing at the corner of his lips.

“Oh?” Lily replied, looking past him toward her office. She was eager to get away from him.

“Yeah, can you guess why?” he replied, smiling broader.

Lily sighed in irritation. She hated games like this.

“No Steve, I can’t guess why,” she replied curtly.

“We’ve booked someone for murder,” he said, leaning in and whispering conspiratorially. Suddenly Lily felt like the world had dropped out from under her feet. In that second everything clicked together. She was worried that Jamie had dumped her, or that he had been the victim of a crime. But suddenly she knew what had happened.

She took a breath and tried to keep her face neutral to Steve.

“Were you involved in it?” she asked, trying to keep her tone professional. She knew he wouldn’t reveal much, but she might be able to get a snippet or two of information out of him. To her surprise he gave it all away.

“It was my tip that led them there,” he said. “I was on patrol and saw a suspicious character and called it in, then the dominoes fell into place,” he still had that awful smug smile on his face.

Lily moved toward the snacks by the coffee, casually picking up some fruit even though she felt like if she took a bite she would throw up.

“Oh really?” she feigned interest. “That could be a good step for a big career move,” she replied.

He nodded, “I thought of that,” his grin broadening.

“Who is it?” she finally asked, trying to keep her expression impassive.

Steve’s face darkened, “I think that’s a little above your pay grade,” he said curtly, “but you’ll find out soon,” and he walked away.

Lily swore under her breath and shut herself into her office. She checked her phone again, nothing from Jamie, and then rested her head in her hands. She didn’t have any interviews until this afternoon, and she had to do something.

She left her office and wandered around the floor. She knew Steve sat a few rows down, close to the bathrooms, so she took her time walking toward them. When his desk came into view she saw that it was empty and his screens were unlocked. Her heart started racing and she sat down at his
desk, trying to be inconspicuous. She knew she was risking her job by doing this, but she had been risking her job by being with Jamie all along. What was one more little risk?

She pulled up the booking interface and quickly typed in Jamie’s name. Sure enough, he had been arrested the night she was with him, the night she left early. She quickly printed everything she could from the booking form, snatched it from the printer and dashed to the bathroom. She splashed cold water on her face and looked in the mirror, debating what to do. If she came forward and said she had been with Jamie that night, she would lose her job. If she didn’t say anything, she would probably lose Jamie.

Lily brought the print-out to her desk and read through it. What she read made her feel sick. They had found a knife with his prints and blood on it at his flat. Steve had been on patrol in the area and had called it in after he saw Jamie stumbling down the road. She shook her head, the timing didn’t add up. The estimated time of death of the victim, the exact time that the murder took place, Jamie and Lily were having dinner at the restaurant. A glimmer of hope bloomed in her chest. If she could only get to Jamie and tell him this, tell him that he had an alibi. She dug through her purse, looking for anything that could prove she was there. But she remembered neither of them had paid for the meal. It was all set up by his friend before the building was even finished. She doubted there would even be CCTV. Lily rested her head in her hands, desperately thinking of something, anything, that would get Jamie out of jail.

Lily slid the paperwork into her briefcase and stood up from her desk. She couldn’t just sit around waiting for something to happen. Waiting for something to be taken out of her control. She had to find proof that Jamie wasn’t the killer.

A shadow of doubt crossed her mind. She didn’t actually know him very well, and yet she was willing to risk her entire career for him. Her grip on the briefcase faltered. How far was she willing to go for this man? Then she remembered the way her heart raced when he touched her. The way his fingers played across her skin, causing goosebumps to ripple across her. The thrill of being with him was almost unbearable. She sighed and strode out of the room. If things go desperately wrong, she thought, she can always go back home.
