“Don’t say that!! When I called him to tell him I was pregnant with his child, he refused to accept it and finally wrote me a nasty email about how I didn’t know who her father was because…”
“That’s enough. We don’t need to talk about that loser again.”
“That’s it, he kept saying he wasn’t a loser every time I did something for him. He was pissed when I told him I paid off the townhome and you know the car thing didn’t end well.”
“I am glad it’s over.” He held her protectively.
“Not entirely…but I’m just glad he is out of my life.”
“What do you mean not entirely?”
“Well, he is sobbing on Meena’s shoulder so I need to deal with that.”
“Piece of cake. You can talk to her,” he squeezed her before he pulled away to head into the bathroom.
She lay in bed rehearsing every sentence she was going to tell her sister later that day. Her ex was in regular contact with her sister, and she wondered if he would back off if he found out about Kris.
Rolling out of bed, she went to check on Myra and headed back into the bathroom towards the steady whirring of the electric toothbrush. Her eyes swept over his broad shoulders and his tapered waist with his sleep shorts sitting right at his hips.
He looked at her in the mirror as she approached him from behind to circle her arms around his bare chest. She trailed her palm over to cup his masculinity and felt the beast twitch and awaken. He let out a foamy groan and placed his free palm over her palm that stroked his groin.
“Do you take any drugs?” she asked looking at him in the mirror and saw the puzzled look on his face.
“I mean, you are always so deliciously hard, is that natural?” Her question was innocent, but it sent a shock wave through Kris making him spew out the foam in his mouth, spraying all over the mirror and vanity.
She stepped back as he coughed out the remaining foam and wiped his mouth.
“What the heck Varsha?”
“I’m sorry, you know what experiences I’ve had before I met you so I am just curious.”
“Wait, he was the only one in your life?”
“Yes.”
He drew in a hissy breath before he took a step towards her. “You just need to look at me for me to get a hard-on instantly, and my balls ache like crazy.”
“What can I do to make the ache go away?” She took her lips to his enjoying the touch of mint on his lips.
“Don’t get me started now, Myra is going to wake up any minute,” he murmured against her sleep-soft lips.
“She is not awake yet, is she?” she purred and ran her long fingers past the waistband of his shorts to find the steel shaft waiting to be encompassed.
Chapter Fifteen
Myra was having a meltdown when her sister’s family arrived right around noon. She wailed at the top of her lungs calling out to Kris because she had seen him leave.
“Myra, look, your cousins are here.” Varsha tried to distract her, but she wouldn’t stop crying.
“Varun, take Myra and the boys into the yard,” Meena ordered.
“Meena, stop bossing around like that!!” She laughed at her sister’s firmness.
“You have no idea what it takes to live in a house with three boys and now my little princess is turning out to be one of them,” she complained.
“You are too cute, Meena!!” She laughed shaking her head at her sister.
“Oh, you are amused by the craziness in my day-to-day life?” her sister mocked.
“I love you, Meena.”
“Yeah, yeah…why is Myra so upset?” her sister asked and she shrugged looking at the cranky baby that was being distracted by two five-year-olds and their dad. She knew her daughter wanted to be held by Kris and was pissed he left without her.
“She’ll be fine Meena,” she called out as her sister stepped outside to check on Myra.
Her phone started to ring as soon as her sister stepped outside with a bold K flashing on the screen.
“Hey, you know I can’t talk.” She walked away from the kitchen towards the living room.
“Yes, you can. You are the only one inside the house.”
“Geez, I keep forgetting you are my neighbor.”
He laughed. “I pretty much live at your place, not really your neighbor.”
“What’s up?”
“Myra is still upset. I want to come back,” his voice was soft.
“No, I haven’t talk to Meena yet and please hold your horses.”
“I still can’t believe you questioned my…you know.”
She laughed throwing her head back, her joy echoing in the empty living room.
“Not cool, I am going to show you what I can do to you tonight.”
“Oh, I can’t wait,” she slurred.
“What time are your guests leaving?”
“They usually hang out till dinner.”
“What? I can’t wait all day. I am coming back. You tell your sister whatever you want to tell her.”
“No, please!!”
“What if I crashed your party?”
“No!!”
“I promise I’ll wear some clothes,” he chuckled.
She laughed remembering the number of times he walked between their yards shirtless when he realized he was out of clothes at her place.
“You know that’s not my preference,” she crooned enjoying the conversation.
“How about I send you a picture of me with no clothes, and I show up with some clothes?”
She let out a low shriek and started to laugh. She turned around laughing wiping the moisture from the edge of her eye. Her smile froze when she saw her sister standing at the living room entrance.
“Okay, I got to go.” She ended the call shrugging nonchalantly at her sister. She walked past her sister back into the kitchen ignoring the questioning look on her sister’s face. “Hey, let’s go outside.”
“Who was that?” her sister asked and she cringed wondering how much of her conversation her sister had heard.
“Who? Where?”
“Who was that on the phone?”
“Oh…that was just Kevin.” Her sister knew Kevin and she were friends, but she hoped she was convinced it was him because she and Kevin had grown distant after he expressed his feelings for her.
“You talk to Kevin like that?”
Shit!!!
“What did I say?” She knew her sister was on to her.
“You laughed so hard, I could hear you in the backyard. I haven’t heard you laugh in such a long time, I was sure you were calling for help.”
“Don’t be silly, Meena. I do laugh.”
“I haven’t heard you laugh like this since you were in college.”
“Are you saying I am being immature by laughing like that?” she taunted hoping it would give her the change in topic she was hoping for.
“Don’t change the topic. Since when did you and Kevin start talking like that?” Her sister knew her too well.
“What did I say?”
“You are sleeping with Kevin, aren’t you? Is that why you have been changing the garage door codes?” Her sister spat the questions holding her breath.
“No, I’m not. Kevin is my friend.”
“Don’t lie to me. I should have known from the way your skin has been glowing and you hair…look how shiny it is. Signs of happiness. Why didn’t you tell me?” Her sister was upset.
“Meena, I am not seeing Kevin…” Her voice drifted when she saw Kris talking to her brother-in-law over the fence. Myra was trying to be wonder woman attempting to jump out of Varun’s arms to go to Kris. She held her breath when she saw her brother-in-law open the door in the fence and shake hands with Kris.
“What does your neighbor want?” her sister asked following Varsha’s eyes to the two men talking.
“Donno. You want to say hi to him?”
“Do not try to deflect.”
“Okay, Kevin is my best friend. I know he likes
me more than just as a friend, but I don’t see him that way.”
“Why? He is such a sweet guy, and he knows everything about you.”
“Meena, it’s weird. He is my buddy. I can’t just start liking him because…Kevin is my friend and that’s it.”
“Varsha…I need to ask you this because I have had this suspicion and the more I think about it, I feel like my suspicion is correct.”
“What?” She held her breath as her heart thumped.
“I think you want Rahul back in your life.” Varsha’s stomach twisted just at the sound of her ex’s name.
“Don’t say his name, Meena.”
“I know but if you want to get back with him, you should, he wants you, too. I feel like I overreacted that night and called the cops. You probably would have been a happy family if I had not gotten arrested.”
“Oh my gawd shut up, Meena.”
“The call you made that night changed my life for good and made me realize what a shit hole I was in. I would never have thought about leaving him because he had me convinced I was the one with a problem, just like how he got you wondering if I wanted him back,” she snarled.
“What are you talking about?” her sister was visibly shaken.
“He is a manipulative bastard. He doesn’t really want me back.”
“It doesn’t make sense, why else would he be trying to talk to you?”
“Meena, he was convinced that I would go running to him as soon as I got pregnant, but now that I am able to take care of Myra, he wants to create some commotion and make me miserable.”
“You don’t want to go back to your ex, you don’t want Kevin to be more than a friend, and you don’t want to go on the dates that I set up. You cannot be single the rest of your life. You are young, smart, beautiful, and any man would take you in a heartbeat if you let them.”
She knew it was time to tell her sister about Kris. Her sister was clearly worried sick about her.
“Meena, please don’t be mad. I am actually seeing someone.”
“There you go…new technique to avoid the conversation for today.”
She laughed putting her arms around her sister. “I am serious. I really am.”
“Who is it? Were you talking to him when I came into the living room?”
“Yes.” To her disbelief she felt her cheeks warm up as she blushed.
“I won’t believe it until I talk to the guy.”
“You can talk to him now.”
“I don’t want to talk to him on the phone. I need to meet this guy in person. How did this happen and when?”
She laughed. “He was one of the dates you set up for me.”
“What? You said you hated all the guys you met.”
“I might have lied about the last one.”
“What? You’re seeing Sam?”
“No, it’s a long story. Hang on!!”
She walked towards the entrance to the yard and called out to Kris waving him over to where she and her sister were standing.
He walked towards them with a smile on his face, his eyes held a million questions as she beamed at him.
“Meena, I am seeing Kris.”
Her sister looked at her in silence, and Kris was quick to break the silence.
“Varsha, I’m sorry I know we talked about doing this, but you can’t fake a relationship just to get your sister off your back. She genuinely cares about you.”
“What?” She looked at him in disbelief.
“Meena, Varsha asked me to tell you she and I went on a date, but I don’t think it’s right. I have a girlfriend, Lisa, and your sister is a good neighbor.”
Varsha got the dirtiest look ever from her sister before she turned to walk away from the kitchen into the living room.
“What the fuck, Kris?” she barked as she followed her sister.
“Payback for hanging up on me, baby!!” he whispered.
“Don’t just stand there, follow me,” she ordered.
“Yes, ma’am.”
“Meena, Kris is being an ass, but I really am seeing him. I really like him.”
“Oh you do…did you ever tell me that?” Kris mocked.
“Do you think this is funny Varsha?” her sister was pissed.
“Meena, Kris is trying to be funny. I am not kidding.”
“Varsha, I love my girlfriend, and it would be wrong if I lied for you.”
“Both of you stay put,” Varsha growled as she walked back to the kitchen to grab her phone. She showed her screen to her sister and hit redial on the most recent call.
“Let’s see what happens now,” she glared at Kris.
Kris’s phone started to buzz, and he smiled sheepishly as he pulled out his phone. “Your sister is awesome!!”
Meena’s face finally broke into a smile as she hugged her sister. “Finally!!”
She left Kris and Varsha staring at each other to break the news to her husband who was battling three kids in the yard.
“You are in so much trouble,” she said taking her teeth to dent his chin.
He groaned sending waves of dark pleasure through her body. He moved his lips to her and deepened the kiss angling his face and slipping his tongue past her hungry lips. He ran his palms along the length of her back to cup her ass cheek to bring her hips to his burning rod.
“Oops, sorry,” her sister said turning away and making them pull apart when they realized she had returned.
“How long have you two been seeing each other?”
“Almost three months,” Kris said running his fingers through his hair.
“You and I need to talk,” her sister said gruffly looking at Varsha.
“Yes, I know.” She followed her sister to the kitchen with Kris behind her.
*****
“Hey you!!” Kris found her in the laundry room later that afternoon. Varsha’s sister and her family left after lunch so Myra could take a nap.
“That was a quick nap,” she teased.
“Yeah, I don’t know when I passed out in front of the TV.”
“You should get some rest while Myra is napping. We can take her to the park later.” She leaned in to take her lips to his cheek, and he ran his arm around her pulling her to him.
“I need to finish up laundry today.” She objected as he ran his lips on her cheek.
“You need to rest, too. I’ll finish it for you later.” He dug his chin into her shoulder blade as she worked on getting a stain off of Myra’s pants in the sink.
“I’m fine. I don’t need to nap.”
“I want you to.” He nipped on the nape of her neck making her body writhe against his body that pinned her to the edge of the sink.
She yelped splashing some water over her shoulder right into his face laughing. “Stop it, Kris.”
“There is no stopping now!!” He kicked the door of the laundry room shut with his foot and reached for her blouse. She used the pull-down faucet and splashed the running water on him catching him by surprise.
He let go of her to stop the water from making its way into his lungs and managed to grab the faucet out of her hand.
She shrieked when he changed direction and let the water run over her face and body.
“There is no stopping now!!” He repeated, his voice burning with desire, and she didn’t need her eyes open to see the look on his face.
The flow of water ceased and his impatient lips found hers wet with passion and before she realized it, the soft material of her top was running over her face and landed on the floor with a damp thud. He took his lips to her burning wet skin on her neck as he cupped her breasts possessively. His breath hissed against her skin when she moaned arching her back over the sink.
She ran her fingers through his hair pressing his facial hair deeper into her skin. He pushed aside her bra cups and took one nub into his warm mouth and fondled the other one between his fingers.
He let go of one button on her chest and dipped his fingers past the waistband of her jeans to stroke her car
nal desire. He snapped open the button on her jeans and opened the zipper.
“You are such a troublemaker,” she taunted, her belly itching for more.
He yanked her jeans and panties down and spread her with his fingers and felt her dewy darkness and knew she was hot in the tail. He let go of her nipple and took his assaulting mouth to the other one that yearned for the suckling. He let go of her breast and trailed his lips lower towards her arousal that was calling out for him.
Leaning into the apex of her thighs, he blew warm air over her sensitive nub. Her whimpers and moans, the sight of her sweet, weeping folds made his bulge painfully hard. He longed to let himself free and bury his throbbing shaft into her hot, wet cocoon and lose himself, but he wanted to taste her, he wanted her sweetness on his tongue.
She groaned when his hands left her hot mess to clasp her breasts before going down on his knees in front of her.
“Hold on, angel!!” She grabbed onto the ceramic edge of the sink, her knuckles turning white.
He went back to licking her, the tip of his tongue circling over her bower of bliss. He lapped her dew, drew circles inside her, and then plunged his tongue back up through her folds, teasing her clit.
As he brought on the onslaught, she gasped helplessly with every stroke of his tongue and left her panting and desperate for more.
Deep inside her a tension built up gathering into a hard whirling ball. She clenched her ass cheeks together, tightening her thighs, reaching for her release that he kept, just a breath away.
“I can’t take it anymore, please!!” Her voice was lost in the whirring from the washer.
The tip of his tongue circled her clit, stroking her folds, bringing mind-numbing pleasure. She wanted an orgasm so bad she twitched and twisted like she was about to have a fit. She could smell it as she arched toward it, but couldn’t wrap her fingers around it. It remained well out of her grasp.
“Are you mine?” His voice resonated through the small room.
“Yes,” she whimpered and moaned begging him to let her come. Everything he was doing stroked the fire burning deep inside her with nothing to fuel it to an explosion.
“Will you be mine forever?”
“Yes.” She was surprised she was able speak.
