I must make a sound, because his head snaps up, and his gaze catches mine.
Sorry, I mouth, and start to walk away.
He snaps his fingers, and points at the chair across from him, issuing me to sit.
Shit. What have I done now?
With some hesitation, I move into the room, but I don’t sit down, I just wait for him to end his call, fidgeting nervously.
When he hangs up he drags both palms over his face, then through his hair.
“I didn’t mean to bother you.”
“You didn’t bother me.” He stalks towards me and I involuntarily take a step backwards, causing a small grin to pull at the sides of his lips. “You just reminded me what I’d rather be doing.”
“What’s that?”
“You.”
“Oh,” the word comes out in a small gasp.
His hands are on me before I even have a chance to process what’s happening. Not that I want to process anything. I just want to feel, to taste, to let go of all my fears and just experience this moment.
He kisses me. Hard. Deep. Powerful. And I fight to simply breathe.
I arch toward him, needing more, needing everything and a low, muted groan vibrates in my chest.
He pulls back and demands, “Look at me Eliana.”
I open my eyes, and gaze up into the blue depth that stare back at me.
“God, you drive me insane.” His voice is coarse, heavy with arousal, his gaze dark, swirling with desire…and something more. Something possessive.
“Is that a good thing?”
“I haven’t decided yet.” He grins, his hands roaming down my back, cupping my ass and pulling me tight against him, so that I can feel the hard length of erection pulsating against me. “If we do this, there’s no going back.”
“I know.” I swallow past the lump in my throat.
“You’re sure you want it.”
I nod, and it’s all the encouragement he needs, because his mouth is back on mine, his hands even more demanding than they were before.
His breathing is just as uneven as mine when he says, “As much as I’d like to fuck you right here on my desk, I don’t want anyone walking in on us.” He takes my hand and leads me upstairs towards his bedroom.
“Come here,” he says, after he’s locked the door behind us. He strokes his knuckles across my cheek. “So beautiful.”
My fingers start working the buttons on his shirt, needing to feel his skin against mine.
“I want to see you,” I say boldly, as I pull at his clothes.
His cock springs free as he rolls his briefs down and over his thick, muscular thighs.
Holy hell, but he’s huge.
I look up and catch his gaze, his lips twitch up in a smug grin.
His lips are on mine, and he growls into my mouth, “You have no idea how much I’m going to enjoy being inside of you.”
“Hurry,” I say, desperate to feel every inch of him between my legs.
He chuckles knowingly as he discards my remaining clothes. His thumb strokes across my clit and I swear I can feel the touch in every nerve ending in my body.
It’s too much. And yet not enough. My body aches for him in ways I never thought possible.
“Please,” I beg, arching towards him.
“On the bed,” he demands, giving my ass a hard slap. The dominance in his voice, the edge of control and power beneath his gaze turns me to putty in his hands.
My heart is racing, my breath coming hard and fast as I crawl onto the large king sized bed.
He positions himself above so that his cock is nudged against my pussy, and I wiggle beneath him.
His fingers grip my hips, holding me steady.
A rush of anticipation shoots through me as I watch the swollen head of his cock eases into me.
He’s so freaking big, and I can feel the stretch of my muscles as my body relaxes to accommodate the width of him.
With one hard stroke, he buries himself inside of me.
I cry out, my fingers digging into his shoulders.
When he starts to move, I’m all but helpless against the pleasure that courses through me.
He nips at my bottom lip, before trailing his lips down my throat, then further to my breasts. I tremble when he takes my nipple between his teeth, twirling his tongue around the hard bud. He thrusts into me again, burying his cock deeper than before, and sending out a flood of sensations through my body.
His lips cover mine, and he begins to move fast, steady, and I swear I feel each stroke in the very core of my being. Our tongues clash, our lips mold against each other.
Waves of sensation build, and nothing exists except the feel of him moving inside of me.
His movements become more urgent, more demanding. I feel like my entire body is going to explode with the pleasure of it.
I tighten my legs around his hips, lifting closer and trying to catch every last sensation as my body explodes around him.
He thrusts once more before his body stiffens and I feel his own release explode within me.
Heaven.
That’s what this is.
And if I only get to experience it once, it was worth it.
Chapter Twelve
Eliana
After the explosive night that we had, I expected him to stay in bed, but he’s gone. Lucas did things to me that I never even thought were possible, and every time my body responded to him.
I grab my clothes, knowing in about an hour or so, Lily will be up and she’ll be looking for me. Sometimes I laugh at the things that she did to manipulate the nannies and the fact that they fell for it every time. With her first nanny, Lily wet herself all the time. Every opportunity she had, she would make sure that she went to the bathroom in her clothes.
Lily did the same thing with me, but I wouldn't have it. We took a trip to the store and I bought some diapers. That soon stopped her, especially when I warned her about having to change her diapers at school so everyone would know. I wouldn’t call it emotional blackmail, but it was enough for her to tell me that she did it on purpose.
I knew she was trying to get rid of me, but after a week of trying, she came to the realization that I wasn’t like the other nannies.
When I get to her room, her door is wide open, and she’s not in her bed. I start to go into a panic, shouting out her name, “Lily? Lily, where are you?”
The maid sees me with my shoes in my hand and my hair a mess, “Don’t worry, she’s downstairs making pancakes with her dad.”
“Pancakes?”
She laughs as she walks away, “I know. I thought that same thing when I saw them.”
Lucas’s making pancakes. Who would have thought that the man knew how to cook? I decide that I’m going to have a bath, not a shower. I’m going to leave the pair of them to bond, and I’ll do some healing in the bath.
I slowly strip off my clothes. My body is aching all over. I head into the bathroom and look at all the relaxing salts and oils that were already in place when I first came here. Back then, I laughed at the idea of ever using them. I’m a shower kind of girl, the type that jumps in, has a quick wash, and jumps out. I’ve never rented a place that has the luxury of having a bath.
Everything about this house is nothing like what I’m used to. When most of the students moved into the dorms, they were crying about the fact that the rooms were too small. I’ve never had a room of my own, just a sofa at the side of the living room.
As for this house, it’s like a dream that I never want to wake from. I can’t believe that they’re paying me as much as they are and that I’m living here.
I know this won’t last. Good things never do. But right now, I’m going to enjoy what I have. Enjoy the family that knows how to love, but just don’t know how to show it.
Even if they’re not my family. At least I can be happy knowing that I helped them in some way. Even if it’s just a short time.
“Daddy said to get you because breakfast’s ready,”
Lily says, coming into my room, after I’ve changed and towel dried my hair.
“I hear you made pancakes.” I smile down at her, my heart expanding when I see the genuine smile on her face.
“We made heart-shaped pancakes. Do you want some?”
I do, I could probably eat the entire contents of the fridge, I’m so hungry, but I thought that they were having their time together. I didn’t expect him to involve me.
He didn’t wake me up this morning. He left me in his bed. I don’t know what it means.
“Okay, I’ll be down in a minute.”
She runs out of the door shouting, “Be quick.”
I laugh to myself as I finish getting ready. But my stomach has butterflies, and when I walk down the stairs towards the kitchen I can’t help the quick pounding of my heart.
Dressed in a tight fitting button down shirt, and slacks that hug his perfectly sculpted ass just right, Lucas flips a pancake in the air, causing Lily to hoot with laughter and clap her hands.
“Do it again, Daddy.”
With a smile, he concedes to her demand, flipping one up in the air, then catching it on a plate.
I watch them for a short time, blown away by the change in both of them.
“Elly, Elly,” Lily says excitedly when she spots me. “Look what Daddy can do. Show her Daddy.”
Lucas’ blue gaze lands on me, his expression intense and dark, and a shiver races down my spine as memories of the night before race through my mind.
“Hi,” I say.
“Good morning.” A small grin slides across his face, relieving my apprehension. “One pancake or two?”
“Two, please.”
He does the flip thing again, making Lily cheer, and her enthusiasm makes me chuckle with her.
Together, we sit down at the table. The entire breakfast I can feel Lucas’ gaze roaming over me, but Lily proves to be a distraction as she talks about million miles per hour about everything and anything.
“Daddy’s taking us on a trip,” she says, bouncing on her seat.
“A trip?” I can feel my eyes widen.
Lucas smiles and says, “Now that was supposed to be a surprise.”
He winks at me, and I look at Lily starts giggling again. I love that she’s so happy and I love even more the way Lucas’s making the both of us feel right now. Like the best things that have happened to him, and I can’t stop smiling, not only because the pancakes are so good, but because he has his hand riding up my thigh.

As we jump in the car, Lucas comments “Don’t you ever wear anything but jeans?”
I’m taken aback that he’s noticed my wardrobe, and I become self-conscious. “I didn’t realize there was a dress code.”
He raises an eyebrow at my tone. “It wasn’t meant to be an insult. I was just wondering if you have any shorts or dresses.”
“No. I don’t,” I mumble, looking out the window.
“Why not,” he presses.
I sigh, “Because I don’t have money to be spending on frivolous things. And jeans are…versatile.”
“Not where we’re going. You’re going to need shorts, maybe a few sundresses.”
I flinch, wondering how much that’s going to cost me. “Where are we going?”
Lily chimes in at the back, she’s so quiet I thought that she was sleeping, “We’re going to our other house. By the beach.”
“You have two houses?” I don’t know why I’m surprised. Of course the man owns more than one house.
Lily laughs, “We have more, but I never remember how many…”
As I turn around, she’s trying to use her fingers to count them all.
“There’s one which is just an apartment. But I never remember where it is.”
“New York.” Lucas winks at me.
“There’s another one that’s by the sea. But we take a plane to get there.”
“The Bahamas.”
“Those are my favorite ones so I don’t remember them all.”
“What about the one we just left?” I laugh thinking that she’s forgotten the most important home of them all.
“Oh yeah.”
“Before we get there we need to stop, so you can get some clothes,” Lucas says, his gaze intent, his jaw set in a stubborn line as if begging me to argue. “You’re not spending the weekend on the beach in jeans.”
I give him a small smile. With what he’s paying me, I suppose I can afford a few new things.
“Daddy, can I buy new dresses too?” Lily asks.
Lucas chuckles and nods. “Of course.”
As we turn onto the highway, Lily sits back and becomes engrossed in a game she’s playing on her iPad, and Lucas frowns down at his phone.
“Everything okay?” I ask.
He exhales a long, even breath and seems to drink me in, then places a hand over Lily’s shoulder, making her to cuddle up next to him. “I think it will be.”
Chapter Thirteen
Eliana
Lilly wasn’t kidding about this place. It’s magical. The beach house faces the sea, and there’s a large private beach that seems to stretch forever.
Lucas comes out onto the balcony, looking sexy in a tight black t-shirt and jeans.
“Lily?” I ask.
“She’s asleep.”
“How often do you come here?” I look out at the setting sun over the ocean.
He sighs, “Maybe once or twice since we bought it five years ago.”
“Wow. If I owned a place like this, I don’t think I would ever leave. It’s beautiful.”
“Not as beautiful as what I’m looking at right now.” He takes my hand and pulls me up, wrapping an arm around my waist.
It’s the first real contact we’ve had since last night.
“Come on.”
“Where are we going?”
“The bedroom.”
“Oh.” I bite down on my lip and let him lead me inside.
It’s been hard today to keep my hands off him and pretend that we’re friends or whatever we’re supposed to be, but I get the feeling that Lily already suspects something. Especially when she asked me if I was sleeping with her Daddy tonight.
I don’t want her getting confused. I’m already confused enough for the both of us. But I can’t say no to him. No, scratch that, I don’t want to say no to him.
And I don’t.
Not when he pulls me into the large master bedroom, or when he undresses, and carries me to the bed.
“I want you inside of me,” I moan against his lips.
His deep, guttural response fills the room, and he grips my hips, shifting between them.
I can feel the barely restrained need coursing through him. The broad head of his cock rests between my thighs, and nudges at my entrance, but for a long moment, he just watches me, blue eyes filled with lust.
Gently, he pushes inside of me, the thick width of him stretching and filling me.
So good.
One more thrust, and every beautiful inch of himself is inside me.
“Look at me, Eliana.” The command in his voice makes me tremble.
His movements become faster, and I move with him, finding our perfect rhythm.
I dig my fingernails into his shoulders, and wrap my legs around his hips, taking everything he’s giving me.
My body molds to his like it was made just for him, and I lose all control.
I’m crying out, my orgasm racing through me, leaving me shuddering and trembling beneath him.
I can feel him coming the same moment I do. And he lets out a rumbled growl just before he collapses on top of me.
Chapter Fourteen
Lucas
Our trip to the beach was perfect. Despite the problems with the business, I was able ,for the first time in forever, to just let go. To relax. And a call I got this morning, saying that the stocks were starting to rise again, proved that the world wouldn’t collapse without me.
I’ve been alive for more than thi
rty years, but until this weekend, I never realized that I’ve never truly lived. Not really. I’ve carried the weight of this company on my shoulders for too long. Never satisfied. Always wanting more. I realize now that what I wanted wasn’t what I actually needed.
What I need is Eliana.
I hate being back at work today. I want to go home. Maybe not just today. Maybe for the rest of the week. I want to do spontaneous shit. And more importantly, I want to get to know Eliana better.
I feel alive when I’m around her. Touching her. Feeling her, wanting to know how her body responds to me.
And fuck does it respond to me.
I don’t want to work. I’m here in body, but not in spirit. Not at all. I hate being here and as Sara’s sitting across from me, engrossed in her iPad. I stare at her for a minute.
She looks up, and frowns when she catches me watching her. “What?”
“Take the day off.”
“Excuse me?” She asks as if she’s not sure she heard me correctly.
“You heard me.”
“I think that I did. Run it by me again.” She laughs, “This is some joke. You always have something for me to do.”
“You should know by now that I don’t joke, and, furthermore, once I give you an offer like that you should grab your bag and leave. Not question it.”
She open and closes her mouth like a goldfish. I can tell what’s running through her head.
“Yes, I’m fine. No, I haven’t lost my mind, and why are you still in my office?”
Standing, she says with apprehension, “Okay.”
I ignore her as I sit down at my desk and start to write an Out of Office message. It takes me a while to figure out how to do it. I used to curse when I would send someone an email, and it would say that they were out of the office and then just give the date that they were coming back. If a person can be away from an office and not have anyone to delegate their work to, then in my book they’re indispensable, and that’s not a good thing. No one should be out of the office and not have someone who takes some responsibility for their work.
Sara hesitates by the door as though unsure whether to close it or leave it open.
