Pretty Dirty (Beautifully Dirty #4)

Covered in sweat, I walk out of the gym, chugging the gallon of water I brought in with me. Turning the corner, I’m shocked to see Kenna standing in my kitchen, causing me to just about drop my water. She’s wearing short shorts and hot pink tank top that ties up around her neck. My eyes instantly notice her perfectly round belly button that is set right in the middle of where her tank ends and the top of her shorts begins.

“I’d hug you but I’m just a tad sweaty right now.”

“I’d take a sweaty hug from you.”

  “Oh, would you?”

“I would, I mean if you’re willing to give it.”

I walk over toward her, setting my jug on the table but keep complete eye contact with her. She swallows hard; I don’t know if she realizes it but I’ve noticed, and it is sexy as hell to me.

“Are you sure you want to be covered in my sweat?” I need to know her answer, there may just be a double meaning to this question, and I’m hoping her answer will be yes to both. It’s time to make a decision and my decision is her.

“Absolutely,” she whispers, as is see the pulse in her neck speed up.

I’m standing directly in front of her, in just my gym shorts, no shirt and sweat is trickling down my body, and I can’t think of anything else, other than getting my hands on her.

“I want to kiss you, too.”

  “Ok,” she whispers again.

“Do you want me to kiss you like I did before?” I decide it’s time to figure out if what she said was a reality or not.

“Umm, yes.” Glancing down at her fingers, she tries not to make eye contact.

“When did I kiss you before?”

“That night I came here and you were drunk.”

“I’m sorry, Princess, I don’t remember much of that night. But I think I can do better than a drunken sloppy kiss,” I say with my voice sounding a bit huskier than normal.

My hands slide across her cheeks until my fingers are laced in her hair. My thumbs graze her cheekbones as my lips meet hers. Her hands rise to my chest as I feel the need and want in her kiss. Before I know what’s happening, I feel myself walking her backwards until she’s pressed up against the countertop, and our hips meet. I lift her without a thought and place her on the edge. Her legs open without hesitation and my body welcomes the invitation. I grip her hips in my hands and pull her even closer, before my tongue travels down her neck. She tips her head to the right, giving me full access to her.

“Kenna,” I say, in between kisses to her neck.

  “Hmm, hmm.”

  “Tell me to stop.”

“Why?” she asks with a heavy breath.

“Because if I don’t soon, we’ll be taking this farther than you may want.”

  “Hmm, hmm.”

  “That’s not an answer, Princess.”

  “Okay.”

I chuckle a little before I pull back, wanting her to look me in my eyes and tell me it’s okay. I don’t want this to be in the heat of the moment. I am really starting to feel something for her, and I need confirmation that I’m not alone in this. As I do, I notice a large purple and green bruise on her thigh. Taking my hand, I slowly brush my fingers over it and she whimpers a little. It’s fresh, something that just happened.

  “What the hell is this?”

“It’s nothing, I walked into the corner of the table and hit my leg. I’m fine.”

“You’re not fine, you just flinched when I touched it.”

Leaving her on the counter, I grab a kitchen towel, then go to our icemaker, and push the button until cubes fall in the middle of it. Wadding it up, I walk back to her, placing one hand on her other leg, I place the towel full of ice on her bruise, and she cries out a little.

“Ryan, really it’s fine, but that is really cold.”

“Again, it’s not nothing, if it’s bothering you.”

“It wasn’t bothering me a few minutes ago. In fact, I wasn’t thinking about too much of anything,” she says, smiling but still looking down at my hands.

“Haha, I’m glad I can make you forget, but I think you need to keep this ice on it. It’s a little swollen too, ya know. You must have nailed it pretty hard.”

  “Yeah, I did.”

She doesn’t look at me while she says it, and I feel like there’s more to the story. I won’t push, but I will pry her heart open any chance I get. I want to know about her, her past, her present, and want she wants for her future. Am I in there anywhere?

  Kenna

When Ryan found that bruise on my leg about a week and a half ago, I didn’t think he was going to let it go that easily, but he did. Even though he asked me about it regularly over the past several days, I’ve told him what he needed to hear, so he stopped. I’ve also been avoiding him after my training sessions, just in case there were more bruises or blisters that he didn’t need to see.

We just finished up with Christmas and New Year’s; it was a great holiday season once again this year. Ryan and I exchanged gifts, and one long passionate kiss at midnight on New Year’s Eve. One I won’t soon forget. Neither one of us pulled back this time. That was until Cooper and Ansley came walking in, hand in hand to tell us they set a date for the wedding. They explain that Supercross ends on May seventh, and Motocross starts May twenty first, so that leaves just one weekend in the middle for them to tie the knot, May fourteenth. I’m sure it’ll be an amazing day.

Now it’s Saturday night, exactly one week before the first Supercross in Anaheim, California and Ryan has decided that we are going out with the group. The guys are taking it easy tonight and will most likely only have a couple drinks, while the girls are going to indulge a bit more than usual. Even though we’ll be working at the race, none of us needs to worry about practice tomorrow or racing around a track for twenty laps next week. Well, besides me, I’ve got practice as well but they don’t know that, so drinking for me won’t be as much as what Maddie and Ansley might partake in.

“What the fuck are you wearing?” Maddie shouts from the kitchen.

“Not sure, probably a dress. You?”

“I think I’m going with my leather shorts. Ya never know when you need to drop it like it’s hot on the dance floor and a dress…might show my hoo-ha. Ya know what I mean?”

“Yeah, I get it. I’ll make sure I don’t drop it then,” I say laughing back at her.

“Oh, you’ll drop alright…to your knees.” I hear her voice getting closer, so I know she’s headed to my room.

“I’m not sure about that Mads. We’ve only started kissing recently.”

“Only? Geez, just screw his brains out for God’s sake. Ya know…give him a good luck fuck.” All her white teeth are showing as she smiles proudly at her words.

“Mads, only you could say something so dirty and rhyme,” I giggle.

  “I know right. I’m good.”

  “Yeah, you’re good alright.”

“I am actually. If you need confirmation you could ask Justin.”

  “Justin?”

“Yes, Justin. He’s the guy I’ve been out with a few times now. You know…Ryan’s teammate.”

“Oh, wow, I knew you’ve seen him off and on for the last couple months, but I didn’t know you’ve been seeing him, seeing him.” I’m taken aback a bit because I know she likes Jesse too, or at least I thought she did.

“Oh my God, it’s not like it happened the first night or even the second, but we have been kinda exclusive.”

“What the hell does ‘kinda exclusive’ mean?” I ask, putting air quotes around her words.

“Well, we both agreed not to see anyone else, so I guess it means we are actually exclusive.”

“When the hell did that happen?”

“Last week, actually. When we went to dinner, he suggested it.”

“And you think you can trust him? Ryan says he’s a big player.”

“Maybe he used to be, but he’s been faithful.”

; “You hope.”

“Geez. Ken, way to show support.”

“I just don’t want to see ya get screwed over. So be careful.”

“I am. Trust me if he fucks around, I’ll just cut off his balls. All’s fair in love and war, and it’ll be war if he cheats.”

“I love you and your crazy way of thinking.”

“I love you too, now time's a wastin…let’s not let all this go to waste,” she says, pointing to her body.

“No, let’s not do that,” I say, raising my hand to my chest, pretending to be shocked that it could even happen. She walks out as I pull a couple of dresses out of my closet.

I have noticed that Ryan has been pushing the envelope when it comes to us, so tonight it’s my turn. I’m wearing a little black dress with white flowers on it. The neckline rests just above my chest, showing just the right amount of cleavage, it hangs off my shoulders a bit, and the dress line is long enough to cover everything, but that’s about it. Oh, did I mention it’s tight, like skintight. Yep, it is. My black strapless heels match it perfectly too. I pull one side of my hair back with a flower, letting the other side flow straight down. My make-up is light; I don’t wear too much but enough to make my eyes pop just little. My lips are smoothly covered in light pink gloss, and the lotion that covers my legs and arms has just the right amount of sparkles in it to make them shine perfectly.

Everyone is meeting here to kick off the night with a drink or shot, whichever they prefer. I start placing all the bottles we have on the counter, as well as glasses, as Maddie walks out.

“Oh, let me pick what I’ll start off with tonight.”

  “What’s your poison, girl?”

“A chilled shot of Fireball please.”

“Chilled it is.” I take the shaker, fill it with ice, and then pour in the Fireball. I start to shake it as the others walk in.

“I hope you’re pouring enough of those for everyone,” Ryan says winking at me. He really hasn’t been drinking at all, so I’m not sure how much he’ll actually indulge in tonight.

“You don’t even know what it is,” I smile back at him.

“I’ll have whatever it is,” Ansley says, as she walks around, giving me a kiss on the cheek.

“Line the shot glasses up, girl.” Jesse looks over at Maddie as he talks.

  “Duh, of course.”

“Cooper, you game for one?” I ask, because I don’t know if he’s decided to drink tonight or not.

“I’ll have a shot here and then maybe a beer or two, but then I’m done. I have to be at the top of my game this year, to kick the shit out of this asshole.” He throws a thumb in Jesse’s direction.

“Doesn’t matter what shape you’re in, it’s not going to happen,” Jesse chuckles at him.

“Oh…and the war of words begins,” I say, laughing.

“Fuck you both, you’ll be eating my roost this year, Mr. Anderson. I can promise you that.”

After the boys bash each other, we all take a shot in our hands, and Coop comes up with a witty toast.

“You’re all my best friends, always loyal, willing, and able. Now let’s start drinking, so raise your glasses off the fucking table.”

“Cheers to that,” Ryan shouts out.

And that is how we start the evening off with one shot of Fireball. We all walk around the corner to the bar not far from our apartment. It’s just about ten o’clock, so the place is just starting to get busy. There are about twenty or thirty people here; this place isn’t too big, but it’ll easily hold fifty or so. The music is going strong from the TouchTunes machine across from the bar. It goes from country to pop to rock as it plays, which to me is cool. I love a good variety of music.

Lose My Mind by Brett Eldredge starts to play and immediately Maddie is on her feet and pulling at both Ansley and me. She’s playing with a little bit of fire as she flirts terribly with Jesse, but she assures me that he knows they are just friends. I hope she’s right. I look over at him and he’s smiling ear-to-ear watching her. I know they have gotten close, so when he starts mouthing the words to her and she sings right back it’s no surprise. The line I read from his mouth is ‘I knew right when I met you, I’d never be the same.’ And there’s Maddie shaking her head yes. Then she mouths back ‘You make me crazy and I kinda like it.’ I hate to see either one of them get hurt, but I have a feeling it’s going to happen to one of them, and right now Jesse looks like he’s the unfortunate target. Do I think Maddie is doing it on purpose? No, actually I don’t, she is a natural flirt. She means no harm and I think she truly thinks they are just ‘flirty friends.’ No harm, no foul. But I think he’s falling for her.

We walk back to the bar and he throws his arm around her, then behind her you hear, “Hey, Anderson, you can take your hands off my girl.” There stands Justin from Team Honda and Jesse looking shocked. Maddie smiles sweetly, but it’s now clear she didn’t fully disclose her relationship to Jesse, and he’s now looking a bit irritated and hurt. He doesn’t say a word, just gets up and walks over to Cooper and Ryan, who are playing darts. I watch him as he tips back his beer and doesn’t stop until it’s empty.

The rest of the night we all seem to have a good time, even Jesse. He just steered clear of Maddie and her new boyfriend. The guys really didn’t drink; they each had a couple beers then called it good. They aren’t going to jeopardize their chance next week by getting shitfaced.

We are all ready to leave the bar; Cooper and Ansley decide they’re going to stay in Ansley’s old room. Maddie chooses to go to Justin’s and Jesse calls a cab. Maddie walks over to him before he walks out and tells him that she expects to still see him on Wednesday for dinner, like they always do, at this very bar. They serve a burger and a side of fries that are incredible. The two of them have been coming here every week for the last two or three months. He smiles at her, leans down to hug her and then looks at Justin, giving him a piece of advice. “You hurt her, you better move, because when I find you, you’ll be out for the racing season, maybe two.” Then he pats him on the back and walks away.

“On that note, are we all ready to go?” Ryan comes up to me, pulling me toward him and I nod my head yes.

I take his hand, wondering where he is sleeping; he never made any reference as to where he would be laying his head down tonight. It’s almost two thirty in the morning when we walk back into the apartment. I’ve got a pretty good buzz going on, but Ansley well, she’s pretty lit and hysterical too.

“Ken, Ken, Kenna,” Ansley sings to me, “I love you Kennaaaaaaa.” She holds the ‘A’ for a bit too long.

  “I love you too, girl.”

“Ryan, you hurt her, I’ll cut off your balls, and I can do it cause you’re like my brother.”

“Geez, Ans, love you too and thanks for the warning. Since I’m kinda attached to my balls, literally, I don’t think you have anything to worry about.” He looks over at me and winks.

Ansley is now standing at my side, in the kitchen, with her arm around me.

“I got you, girl, don’t worry about it.” She might be a little more hammered than I thought she was.

“I can see that. Thanks,” I can’t help but giggle at her. Ansley’s a funny drunk. It doesn’t happen very often, but when it does she’s so much more outspoken than she is sober.

“Okay, Mrs. Bobbitt, I think it’s time for bed.” Cooper kisses her cheek and tries to turn her toward her old bedroom; but she’s not having it. She wiggles away from him and walks to the counter where the bottles are still displayed. Picking up the bottle of Fireball, she starts to turn the top.

“I’ll show you, Mrs. Bobbitt,” she says, while struggling a bit.

“Oh, hell no, Beautiful, that’s not happening, or I’ll be holding your hair back while you hug the porcelain god.”

“Cooper, you always hold my hair back when I’m sucking on your…”

“Okay, girl, you’ve definitely had enough. Good night, everyone,” he
says, as he picks her up and throws her over his shoulder, but that doesn’t stop her. She continues talking as he walks.

“Why did you call your dick the porcelain god? I mean it is rock hard, but porcelain just sounds funny. Why did you say I’d be hugging it? I don’t hug it, Coop, I suck …” is all you hear as the door slams shut. Then the laughing and giggling starts from behind it. She’s full of it tonight and I love it. Ansley letting loose is funny as hell.

“One shot before we hit the hay?” Ryan asks, as he picks up the same bottle of Fireball up.

“Sure, I could go for one more.” I walk around the counter and grab two more shot glasses out of the cupboard.

“Chilled or straight out of the bottle?”

“Chilled please, it’ll be hot enough as it goes down.” I can feel my face getting flushed when his head turns in my direction. He stops pouring and raises his eyebrows at me, with a smirk to his lips.

“Mind out of the gutter, Mr. Evans.”

“Now what fun would that be, Princess?” he questions, handing me one of the shot glasses as he moves to stand directly in front of me.

“Here’s to you and here’s to me, and the possibilities that may be.” He clinks his glass to mine and downs his before I can even process what he said. “Drink up, Princess.”

I down it, then turn to place both of our glasses in the sink. Ryan walks up behind me, pinning me there with his front to my back. Slowly brushing the hair off my neck to uncover the side of it fully, he leans into me, sliding his palms down the full length of my arms until they reach my hands. He entwines his fingers with mine as he starts placing small, tender, passionate kisses to my neck and exposed shoulder.

  “Kenna, I want you.”

My head falls back against his shoulder, giving him more access, showing him I am a willing participant.

“I feel the same,” I say, breathing a bit heavier now.

“Can we take this to your room? I’m afraid I might start undressing you here,” he says with a touch of growl in his voice.
