“Yeah, we have.” Eric kissed her brow, and brought her into his embrace. “Thank you.” He was thanking her for letting them talk. He thanked her for just being there with him and offering comfort when she knew he needed it.

“Can you guide everyone back to the truck?” Dante asked. “I want to check on something first.”

“Yeah, sure.” Eric agreed, and watched as his brother disappeared into the forest of trees.

“Is he okay?” Sylvia asked, concern for Dante clear in her voice as she rested her head against Eric’s chest.

  “I’m not sure.”

“Oh, great! He’s left us,” Emelia sulked, standing behind Sylvia with her arms crossed and looking pissed as hell.

“He wanted to check something out, and stop acting like you’re twelve,” Eric snapped.

Emelia glared in Eric’s direction and then turned away as she stomped back down the trail.

  That went well!

  Chapter Sixteen

Sylvia hadn’t asked Eric about his conversation with his brother even though she knew it had something to do with Emelia. Eric’s sister had known they were talking about her and she’d appeared more resigned than anything else.

The day with Emelia had been enjoyable though, at least before they reached the vista. Emelia had talked about her twin brother, Diego—about how much she missed him since he lived and worked in New York. Sylvia didn’t blame her for not wanting to stay with him after the tales she told. Her love for her sibling shone bright just like it did when she talked about Eric. Dante, though, she’d had a sad look on her face when she’d mentioned him briefly. The subject had been changed to what Sylvia thought was a safe topic. There was certainly something going on between them, but she figured Emelia would tell her if she wanted her to know. It wasn’t like they’d been friends for years.

When they got back to Dante’s, Emelia had gone out with a friend and Dante had retreated to his church, which meant Sylvia and Eric had the cabin to themselves.

She’d been slightly uncomfortable when Eric had made love to her the night before because she’d been afraid Dante and Emelia would hear them. Eric soon had her forgetting about his siblings as he’d used his mouth on her, which is what she was about to do to him.

She’d retreated for a nap again after lunch and as she crept down the stairs, she could see Eric lounging on the sofa with a paperback open, but splayed on his chest.

  He was asleep.

  Not for long.

With thick socks on her feet, Sylvia made her way quietly to the end of the sofa and admired the man lying before her. His long frame filled out his jeans and shirt just fine. The waist of his jeans dipped low, and his shirt had risen, which left the skin of his belly and the start of his V showing. Her mouth suddenly felt dry as she imagined licking all of his flesh, especially the one that had started to grow behind his zipper. That’s when she looked up and met his glittering, green eyes.

How long he’d been awake, she had no idea but at least she didn’t have to try and wake him before she started what she’d planned. The last thing she’d wanted to do was shock him awake with her touch, him being a former soldier and all.

“You look like you’re up to no good,” rumbled out of his mouth, dark and sexy as sin, his eyes hooded.

“Hmm. Maybe I am.” She straddled his lower legs, and dipped her head. Her hands fell to either side of his waist to hold herself above him as she placed a kiss to his navel. His belly quivered, his hips arched, and the gasp of pleasure that left his lips gave her the courage to carry on with her seduction.

She’d never taken the lead before, even though he tempted her like no other. “You keep your hands to yourself.” She warned and met his gaze while moving his shirt out of the way to give her access to his sculpted chest. “I want this off.”

“That can be arranged.” Eric grabbed the bottom of the shirt and yanked the garment over his head, letting it fall to the floor, all too eager.

Sylvia laughed and delighted in his moan when her tongue lapped at one of his nipples. It hardened under her assault, and as she moved to his other, Eric arched his hips into her. She smiled. He was impatient. The evidence was hard against her stomach. She wanted to tease him though. She wanted him as aroused as he made her.

His skin scorched her mouth, and as she moved lower, his breath hitched when her tongue dipped below the waistband of his jeans. The bulge covered by denim looked about to burst his zipper.

Wicked thoughts ran through her head, but the one at the forefront, she followed through and traced the thickness with her teeth.

Eric came up from the sofa with a curse on his lips, panting hard. “This is going to be over with quickly if you don’t slow down.”

“I can’t slow down.” The button snapped open on his jeans, followed by his zipper as Sylvia slowly slid it down. She gasped when his rigid erection burst free, nearly smacking her in the face.

With a giggle and some help from Eric, she dragged his jeans past his hips so she could fully cup him in her hands. He was impressive, and completely free of hair around his balls, but a small amount was trimmed where his V ended. Her hand twitched to slide through the dark hair, and as she leaned forward to swirl her tongue around the dripping crown, she did just that. The hair was silky soft and he twitched against her tongue.

Eric really was large all over and his cock enlarged even more with the caress of her hands and mouth. He tasted of musky male and she couldn’t get enough. All too soon, he reached for her and, with a slight tug of her hair, had her up against his chest, his lips sealed to hers.

With a growl he devoured her mouth. Not a crevice was left untouched while he flipped them over, which was easier said than done. But when she was flat on her back, her legs wrapped around his waist, she slid her hands through his short, dark hair. He held her close and started to kiss down her neck, and he nibbled around her breasts through her shirt. It wasn’t long before his hands started to slide the shirt up her torso to bare her to his eyes.

“You make me ache. You’re so beautiful.” Eric flipped open the front fastening on her bra and cupped her large breasts in his hands. They overflowed but he didn’t seem to mind. In fact, his erection throbbed all the more where it pressed against her panty-clad pussy. She’d left her jeans upstairs when she’d woken because she’d planned on getting Eric aroused.

His thumbs grazed over her nipples before his head dipped. He left a trail of heat between her breasts, down to her navel and lower where he planted a kiss to her mound.

The heat she felt between her thighs had turned to an inferno, and if he weren’t careful, she’d be coming before he even got her panties off. Eric traced the seam of her panties with his tongue, his breath hot against her bare thighs.

He quickly kneeled and gripped her hips in his hands and brought her ass onto his knees. A hand slipped inside her panties and found her wet pussy. He stroked; his fingers were magic and had her strung so high that her orgasm had started to build low in her belly. It felt like a whole lot of fireworks were about to explode, but she didn’t want to come unless he was inside her.

He’d turned the table on her by taking over her seduction so she wanted to come on his cock. “Stop,” she blurted. “Get inside me.”

Eric quickly moved her panties to her hips to create space between the crotch and her pussy, then, gripping his thick shaft, rubbed it against her clit before he lined himself up and thrust all the way inside her.

She couldn’t breathe as her orgasm ripped through her. Her legs tightened around his hips as she ground on him wanting her climax to last. He leaned over and, sucking a nipple into his mouth, started to thrust, hard, back and forth. Her vaginal muscles continued to ripple along the rigid length of him until he pulled his mouth from her and started to enjoy his own release. His mouth clamped shut as he grunted and groaned. Every shallow thrust heightened her own arousal until she was coming again. She milked him hard with the pleasure fluttering through her.

>   Even after he’d released, he still felt solid inside her, and when he collapsed over her, Sylvia wrapped her arms around him and pulled him close. His face nestled in her neck, his breathing heavy against her.

Reaching up, she stroked his hair and over his shoulders, feeling relaxed. Her muscles would be sore later, unless she bathed, but she loved quiet moments with Eric.

“We need to go to the bedroom before Dante or Emelia get back.” He sighed. “I sure as hell don’t want Dante catching sight of you like this. I don’t give a shit about me.”

Sylvia cupped his jaw, and stroked along his lips with her thumb. “I want you to stay inside me. You feel good.”

He gave a shallow thrust and smiled when she moaned. Her body clutched him tighter. “You liked that.”

“I like anything you do to me.”

Eric smirked. “Is that a fact?”

Clasping her ass to him, he maneuvered to his feet and kicked his jeans free, his cock happy in the warmth of her pussy. As he started walking toward the stairs, she wrapped her legs around his waist, and kept squeezing his cock that lengthened and thickened even more with her actions. He stumbled and had her pressed up against the wall.

She smiled and dragged his head down to hers for an all-consuming kiss. She loved having his mouth on hers. One of his hands reached up and tweaked a nipple, which sent her arousal up a notch.

Unable to help herself, she writhed on his dick, urging him to move.

  She got her wish.

On a curse, Eric tightened his hold on her ass and started to pound into her.

  Chapter Seventeen

The crisp fresh air of the Rockies was different than any place else that he’d been, and it’s where Eric had always found his escape. Between Dante’s home in Frederick and his father’s place in Montana, he had the best of both worlds. Which was why he didn’t want to head back to Lexington, and all the troubles that would cause.

The escape to his brother’s place had been amazing and the thought of having to pack and head back in two days really didn’t sit well with him.

Sylvia had already told Yuri that she wouldn’t be back at Poles to dance, but that didn’t mean the fucker who’d been sending her notes would go away. It also meant that she’d be back at work during the day, and in the evening, she’d be back at her apartment with her friend, Talya.

He’d gotten used to having her with him twenty-four/seven, so the change that would come with heading back, didn’t sit well with him. He wanted her with him. Sylvia seemed to be hesitant about heading back to her home. He just couldn’t decide if it was because of her stalker or because she wanted to stay with him. Could she be wondering what would happen to their new relationship? Just like he was.

His woman was lounging out back, taking in the vista with his sister Emelia. She looked snug in her outdoor gear and he knew he wouldn’t be able to get her inside very easily. She seemed to love the cold. The friendship that had bloomed since their arrival seemed to have stayed constant and he was glad of that. Emelia could be a pain in his ass, but she seemed genuinely delighted to have Sylvia to talk to.

While he watched them from the warmth of the cabin, he still found it hard to believe the words spoken by Dante the other day. Dante had only confirmed what Eric had thought in the past, although he’d always pushed those thoughts to the back of his mind, not wanting to go there. He thanked fuck that he wasn’t his brother because he had a lot of shit to deal with. He also knew that Dante, albeit troubled by his past, was still troubled with wrongful feelings toward their sister, which was why he didn’t want her in his house.

He had no idea how their sister felt because there was no way he was going to ask her. But with the unguarded looks she passed at Dante, Eric would say his two siblings were heading for major heartache and trouble.

Watching now, Emelia moved away from Sylvia and headed inside through the front door, so he decided to brace himself for the cold, and grabbed his jacket on his way out the back. He needed to stop avoiding his sister, but while he wanted to be wrapped up with his woman, he would for a while longer.

He leaned over Sylvia and kissed her on the top of her head before he dropped into the chair beside her, and held her gloved hand. He’d rather have her skin against his, but it was too cold for that with the dropping temperatures.

“Are you warm enough out here?” he asked, moving her from her chair to his lap where he could wrap his arms around her.

  “I’m not too bad.”

He chuckled. “You’d tell me that even if you were freezing just so I wouldn’t drag you inside for warmth.”

Sylvia wrapped her arm around his neck and rested her head against his. “I love it here. Away from everything. That’s why I fell in love with the cottage in the countryside near Lexington. I’d have to purchase a car as well to get me to and from the city, but it would be worth it to own that cottage. It needs a lot of work, but that doesn’t daunt me. I just hope I get to it before a developer does.”

“I figured you must want it a hell of a lot to work extra hours at Poles.”

“Yeah. It’s not what I would have wanted, but the money is good. Touching is out of bounds and Yuri’s men make sure that rule isn’t broken, so I do feel safe…or I did until the notes started arriving.”

“I can’t say I’m sorry that you’re not going back there because I’m not. The thought of all those guys watching you and then going home to—”

Sylvia slapped a hand over his mouth. “Don’t say it.” She glared.

“Don’t be angry. I’m jealous because I’m the only one who should ever see you in hardly any clothing. Not some total stranger.” He kissed her cheek.

“I’m not used to having anyone be possessive over me. I’ve always done pretty much what I wanted to do.”

He sighed. “I can’t apologize for wanting you for myself and I won’t. You mean something to me, Sylvia.”

“I like you being possessive. It’s nice.” She nibbled his earlobe, and whispered, “You mean something to me as well.”

Her whispered words against his ear caused his dick to stir in his jeans. That was all it took and he was ready to go. She made him feel like a randy teenager.

She wiggled, obviously feeling the growing hardness beneath her ass.

“Stop that. Both Dante and Emelia are inside so there will be no funny business.” He slapped a kiss to her lips and grinned.

“Eric,” she stroked along his jaw, a serious expression on her features, “when we get home, will we be spending time together like this, or will you want your space back? I don’t want to ruin the last couple of days here, but I need to know. I don’t like the unsettled feeling that is rattling around in my belly.”

He knew without a doubt what he wanted, so he took it by the horns and told her, “I want us to be together when either one of us isn’t working. I want to hold you in my arms every night when I close my eyes and I want you to be there when I wake up in the morning.” He softly smiled and brushed a strand of hair behind her ear. “Does that answer your questions?”

She nodded, tears on her lashes.

“Is that what you want?” He swiped one tear away with his thumb when it ran down her cheek.

“Yes. I’ll need to work it out with Talya because I don’t want to leave her alone, but I’d love to be with you like that…Wait.” she sat up straighter in his arms. “You said ‘either one of us working’, you have a job? I thought you weren’t sure what you wanted to do. I didn’t know you’d accepted something.”

He hadn’t realized he was going to accept anything until their conversation had started. “Sebastian has offered me work as part of the security team in the McKenzie building. It’s only going to be temporary because I don’t see myself doing that for the rest of my life. But it would mean us going to and from work together.” He smiled. “Do you think you could handle that, and seeing me everyday during working hours?” His question was asked with a smile, but he felt a nervous flutter in hi
s belly. He’d never put his heart on the line before, and he realized he was doing that now.

Sylvia cupped his face with her hands and grinned, her whole face alight with happiness. “I’d love nothing more than to spend more time with you, and it will be amazing working in the same building.” She kissed his cold lips, but they soon warmed up under her warm, wet mouth.

“I think you might need to come to confession, brother,” Dante laughed.

They pulled apart and, after a quick kiss to her lips, Eric met his brother’s gaze. “Not sure we both have a month free,” he teased.

Sylvia chuckled, which caused his grin to widen.

“Don’t encourage him,” Dante smiled, and joined them at the table.

“He doesn’t need any encouragement. He’s wicked enough on his own.”

“I’m a priest, I don’t need to know how wicked my brother is.”

Eric lightly punched his brother on the shoulder. “Get over yourself.”

  “Brothers,” Sylvia commented.

“You should see them when the others are around as well,” Emelia commented as she slipped outside behind Dante. “I’m so outnumbered.”

Sitting down, Emelia glanced at Dante who stared at her; at least he thought his brother stared at her. He couldn’t tell since Dante was wearing dark shades to protect against the glare of bright sun on the snow-covered ground.

“You might not be as alone from now on with Caprice and Sylvia around.”

Emelia glared at Dante because it was common knowledge that she disliked Caprice.

While his sister stewed on Dante’s words, Eric squeezed Sylvia’s hand. “Oh, she’ll be around,” he agreed. He wanted to make sure Sylvia knew he had every intention of including her in anything to do with his family.

“Are you asking me something?” she grinned. “I mean, those words don’t really say anything.”

Ignoring Dante as he muffled a chuckle, Eric held Sylvia’s gaze. “Thanksgiving dinner. We’re all going to be at our father’s house in Montana. You think you can handle the De La Fuente boys?” he smirked, knowing from the mischievous look on Sylvia’s face that she had something to say.
