Walt walked straight to Jo and took both of her hands. He looked down at the young girl that had helped him fulfil his dream and his lips broke out in a huge smile under his mustache. He gave her a kiss on the cheek. “You see Jo,” he said, “dreams really can come true. Now hold out your hands,” he said as he reached into his coat pocket and then covered her hands with his. She felt something on her palms.

When you wish upon a star

  Your dreams come true.

With the last phrase, he lifted his hands away. There, in a twinkle of light, was a small Tinker Bell, who flew off from Jo’s hand and began climbing in circles higher and higher in the night sky, her light getting brighter and brighter.

Your dreams -- come -- true.

The orchestra and chorus belted out the final phrase again and the heavens suddenly exploded in color, as fireworks lit up the night sky. Once again, there was a world of color over Cinderella’s Castle. Dreams had been fulfilled. Entire nations watched as the spectacle had unfolded before them like a storybook. And though they were light years away from the place it had begun, on a planet called Thera, the dreams and the magic still lived.

  The End
