“So they didn’t react like you feared?” Houston asked.
“Nope, and not like Martin said they would.”
“What if they had? What would you have done if they had?” Miller asked, truly feeling so scared that she could stop loving them or something. He was obsessed with her and so in love with her he knew life could never be the same without Emma, and they could have lost her. She wasn’t letting her go without a fight.
She reached up and cupped his cheek. “It would have been the last call to them I ever would make, but that didn’t happen. They can’t wait to meet you guys. They were truly happy, and that’s one of the reasons why I loved Westin so much. His family raised him well. So, next weekend they will be coming to visit. I’m going to make the arrangements at the hotel. Figured we could throw a little gathering here and have dinner or maybe go on the boat again. Can we all fit?”
“We’re going to need the yacht,” Eagan said.
“Yacht? What yacht?” she asked.
“Oh, Miller has a huge yacht. We didn’t take you on it or tell you about it because we didn’t want to shock you,” Houston said.”
“Yeah they talked me out of it for our first date, but considering Westin’s family is going to come visit and meet us, and our parents are coming to meet you, we’re going to need the space.”
“Your parents are coming to meet me?” she asked.
Eagan stroked her jaw with his thumb. “Are you kidding? Of course. We told them we found the woman of our dreams.”
She smiled. “This will be great.”
“Westin’s family will be impressed and know we have money and can take care of you,” Miller said.
She pressed her palm to his chest. “The money doesn’t matter Miller, remember? It’s what’s in here and the love we share.”
“Bite your tongue. Miller’s number one focus is money,” Houston teased him.
Miller pulled Emma into his arms, placed his hand on her ass, and squeezed it. “No, my number one focus is our Emma, now and forever.” He lowered down to kiss her, relieved that things would all work out well and focused on giving Emma the world, making her happy, keeping her safe so she would never have a broken heart or sadness again.
