“Of life,” she shouted. “I can’t do this anymore. I just need some time to sort through this, and I can’t do that with you constantly pressuring me!”
“No fucking problem. You want space? I’ll give you all the fucking space you want.”
I walked out the door and that was it. The pressure in my chest caved and I fucking broke. Because the woman I loved was hurting, but she didn’t want me to help heal her. She didn’t want anything to do with me.
