  “She moved to Chicago and I saw on Facebook she’s divorced.” Cass looked down at the rest of the napkins. “I can’t believe we ever did this. Can you?”

  “It doesn’t matter now,” Jonathan said. “What we once did. We’re not the same couple we were then.”

  “We’re better now,” Cass said, knowing her husband agreed. “Much, much better. Onward.”

  “With the packing?” Jonathan asked.

  “Yes. And, also, just for whatever our future holds.”
