“Sorry, baby.” He grinned, kissing her quickly. “That was faster than I would have liked.”
“That was amazing,” she said.
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.” She giggled. “Do you know that… um…”
“What?”
“No, never mind.”
“Tell me,” he said.
“I don’t really want to bring my exes into bed with us.”
Dallas chuckled. “What were you going to say?”
Heat crept up her neck. “Just that you’re the first man I’ve known… as in, known… who could actually find my clit.”
He threw his head back and laughed.
“What’s so funny?”
“Babe, Tommy was a douchebag. I’m surprised he was even able to find your vagina.”
She snorted and shook her head. “He wasn’t a douchebag.”
“Macey. Tommy Mathers was the CEO of the Massengill Corporation. The only thing that kid had going for him was that he played guitar. Badly, I might add, and he saw your sixteen-year-old ass coming from a mile away.”
Truth be told, Dallas was right, but she wasn’t ready to admit that yet. “Tommy was cute.”
“I can’t accurately comment on that, as I can’t say I’ve ever found another guy cute, but he was skinny with long, stringy hair and piercings, so he looked like a bad boy. And you were in your rebellious stage, trying to piss me off.”
She gasped. “I was not.”
“You were so.”
“For your information, you didn’t really factor into it.”
“Hmm-mm.” He grinned as he slipped out of her, took care of the condom, and pulled her back against his chest. “You told Payton you wanted to find “the one” to lose your virginity to. I was arrogant enough to offer myself up, which totally backfired since I kind of did it in a dick way, and drove you to Tommy. Admit it.”
She ran her finger over his chest. “Well, no, you didn’t drive me to Tommy. Tommy just happened to be there.”
“With a bottle of Jack Daniels and a shoulder for you to cry on.”
She covered her face with her hands. “Yes, I suppose that’s true.”
“Fucking bastard got you drunk and took your virginity.” Dallas scowled.
“I chose to get drunk, Dal. It’s not like he forced the stuff down my throat.”
“But he should have made sure you were okay, not take advantage of you.”
“He didn’t take advantage of me.” Mace frowned. “I wanted to have sex and I told him that. Stop looking for monsters where there aren’t any.”
“Mase. He took advantage of you.”
“Who says?” she snapped. “Look, I’ll admit that I was a little too young and he definitely wasn’t the right guy, but I knew what I was doing, and I refuse to be one of those girls who makes a bad choice and then tries to blame someone else.”
Dallas smiled. “I’m not trying to start a fight, babe.”
“Well, you’re kind of pissing me off, so how about you backtrack and explain yourself.” She crossed her arms. “Because you’re making it sound like I’m the poor little victim here.”
“Which is not my intention.” He sat up and cupped her cheek. “Whether you chose to have sex with him or not, I personally think that had you not been black-out drunk, you would have come to your senses.”
“Let’s not overdramatize it. I was never black-out drunk. I knew what I was doing the whole time. And it was wholly forgettable.”
“Whatever,” he said, and lay back down on the pillows. “Little fucker squealed like a girl.”
“Because that’s not sexist on any level.”
“Okay, he squealed like the pig he was.”
“And why did he squeal like a pig, Dallas?” she asked.
“No reason,” he grumbled.
She leaned forward. “What did you do?”
“Nothing much. I just made sure he never did that to you or anyone else again.” Dallas settled his hands behind his head. “And I continue to keep an eye on him.”
She gasped and jabbed a finger toward him. “You’re the reason he came to school with a broken nose, black eyes, and bruised ribs? He told me he laid down his motorcycle and got caught in gravel.”
He grabbed her hand and tugged on it. “Tommy didn’t own a motorcycle.”
“He didn’t?”
“No, he didn’t. The guy could barely manage a bicycle.”
Macey sighed and flopped onto his chest. “So he lied.”
“Yeah, babe. He lied. He lied about owning a motorcycle and he lied about the girl he fucked the day before you and two days after.”
“What?”
“He had a harem, Mase. He was sleeping with three other girls at the same time.”
Macey groaned. “He was? He totally pledged his undying love to me.”
“Well, that might have been true, but his undying love wasn’t enough to keep it in his pants.” He raised an eyebrow. “Does that surprise you?”
She rolled her eyes. “Honestly, no.”
“Did he ever bug you again?”
“Well, no. He said we’d just get to know each other before we had sex again, but he was distracted and kept disappearing…” She covered her face with her hands. “Oh, never mind.”
“But, what, babe?”
“You’re right.” She sighed again. “He was a douche. I couldn’t stand him by the time the week ended and all we’d done was talk. I was also sober, which made him way more boring.”
Dallas laughed. “I rest my case.”
“Did you really beat the crap out of him?”
“Brock helped,” he admitted.
“Of course he did. Neither of you can do anything without the other.” She grinned. “Hence the academy and then the FBI.”
“I plead the fifth,” he said. “However, it could be that to Brock, you’ve always been like another sister.”
“Yeah, like he needs another one of those.”
Brock had three. Two older and then the baby… Payton.
Dallas chuckled. “Maybe it made it easier for him to just add you to the group.”
“And you?” She smiled up at him. “Was I like a sister to you?”
“Hell, no. You were the one who almost got away.”
“What?” She settled her chin in her hand. “When?”
“Bruce Fucking Daniels.”
“Dallas, that was more than a year ago. Bruce and I didn’t date for that long, and it ended pretty amicably, especially considering I broke up with him.”
“You’re staying away from him, right?”
“What? No.” She frowned. “Why?”
“Trust me, Mase. He’s got money and power behind him and he’s not the great guy you think he is.” He frowned. “Jim and Mona Daniels are degenerates who bought their way into office and raised their son to be just like them.”
Macey sighed. “That I don’t doubt, but Bruce is a cop, Dallas. I thought there was some ‘brothers in blue’ code or something. Aren’t you supposed to like him?”
“He’s not right.”
“He’s fine,” she countered. “He still calls every now and then, and he’s really nice.”
He frowned. “Not liking that fact.”
“I think you’re seeing something where there isn’t anything.” She smiled. “I actually have plans to see a movie with him next week?”
“Alone?”
“Well, no. A few of us made plans.”
“I’m going with you, then.”
“Why?” she asked. “I have male friends, Dallas, you’ll just have to deal with them.”
“Yeah, but he’s the only one who took you away from me.”
“Hello, I’m here with you right now… naked, even. He did not take me away from you.”
“He almost did.” Dallas shook his head. “I thought I’d lost you.”
“Seriously?”
“Seriously.”
“Why didn’t you say anything?”
“I am now.”
Macey shook her head. “No, I mean when Bruce and I broke up.”
“Because I didn’t want to be the rebound guy. ‘Course, if there’d been another guy, I’d have dealt with him, but lucky for me, I didn’t have to waste my time.”
“What do you mean ‘dealt with him’?”
“Being in the FBI has its perks.”
She gasped. “Are you telling me that if I’d dated some guy after Bruce, you’d have jacked him up with bogus traffic stops, tickets, and the like?”
“I am telling you nothing of the sort.” Dallas rolled her onto her back and kissed her. “But I will admit that jacking Bruce up wasn’t an option.”
“You tried to jack him up?”
“I tried to keep an eye on him.” He frowned. “I ran into a political blue wall.”
Dallas leaned down to kiss her, but she placed her fingers over his lips. “What do you mean, ‘you tried to keep an eye on him’?”
He sighed. “You don’t really think that I would just sit back and let you date some guy I didn’t check out?”
“Of course I would. Because it was none of your business.”
“That’s where you have it wrong, Macey.”
“Excuse me?”
“Everything about you is my business.” He kissed her. “And it will always be my business.”
She giggled. “You are insane.”
He moved his lips to her neck and then slid down to her breasts, rolling a nipple between his fingers as he kissed his way down her belly. Macey sighed, her hips arching in response. “Dal?”
“Yeah, baby?”
“My turn next, okay?”
He grinned. “Absolutely.”
She grasped the headboard as he gave a quick and gentle suck on her clit, before moving his thumb into place to finish the job. What the man could do with his tongue was unbelievable.
Her climax came fast and hard, but she didn’t take too much time to enjoy it. After stopping Dallas from opening another condom packet, she pushed him onto his back and wrapped her lips around his cock.
“Babe, I should put on a—”
“No,” she said.
He gripped her hair. “I’m not gonna come on my stomach.”
“Dal, I know.”
“You’re gonna… ?”
Macey nodded, wrapping her hand around the base of his cock and lowering her mouth onto him again. Dallas dropped his head back onto the pillows. “Holy shit.”
Macey couldn’t help but grin. Dallas’s body responded to her immediately, his breathing quickened as his hands pressed into her hair and his hips pitched up, filling her mouth with his cock.
“Babe,” he rasped, his body locking.
“Come,” she mumbled against him.
Dallas groaned as his orgasm rocked his body. Macey didn’t move for several seconds before giving his cock one last kiss and then sliding up his body.
“I can’t believe you…”
She giggled. “Me neither.”
He twisted his neck to meet her eye. “Say again?”
Macey licked her lips and kissed his jaw. “Let’s just say Bruce wasn’t a particularly enthusiastic partner. He’s was totally fine with me going down on him, but not in the least interested in returning the favor, so I didn’t offer more than once.”
“He was… is a fucking moron.”
Macey giggled. “Maybe.”
He stroked her cheek. “No maybe about it. You taste incredible, babe. And what you did just then, was better than any I’ve had before. You’re the first to swallow.”
“Seriously?”
“Yeah,” Dallas said. “I can finish inside you, though, babe. You don’t have to go all the way.”
She blushed again. “I like it.”
“You’re shittin’ me.”
“I’m not,” she said. “I can’t really explain it, but with you I feel safe. I love your body and I love sucking you off and all that it entails.”
“Yeah, well, you’re amazing at it.”
“I am?”
He chuckled. “Hell, yeah.”
“In that case, can I do it again?”
Dallas took in a deep breath as she cupped him. “Have at it, baby.”
Macey grinned and had at it.

Dallas made love to her again before he turned the lights out and pulled her up against him to sleep.
“Do you really have to go tomorrow?” she whispered.
“I really have to go tomorrow. I can’t get the promotion if I don’t take the exam, and they’re giving us a certain amount of time to get it done, or we have to wait another year. Brock and Jax have already taken it, so if I don’t want to be left behind, I have to do it, baby, I’m sorry.”
“No, I get why,” she rushed to say. “I just don’t know how I’m going to be away from you for two days.”
“Ditto.” He chuckled. “But I’ll make it up to you when I get back. We’ll have the whole weekend together and I thought we could hike up Multnomah Falls on Saturday.”
“That sounds fun.”
“Yeah, it does.” He kissed her shoulder. “Have you set up your new voicemail yet?”
She’d treated herself to a new phone for her birthday three weeks ago, and if her last phone was any indication, her voicemail would stay the stock one until she bought a new phone.
“Damn it,” she groaned. “No.”
“Do it now, babe.”
“I hate recording my voice.”
He gave her bottom a playful smack. She squealed and shifted away from him. He quickly pulled her back. “If you record it, I’ll make it worth your while.”
“Oh, really?”
He reached around her and cupped a breast, rolling her nipple between his fingers. She let out a quiet mewl.
“Do it now, baby,” he said, and kissed her neck.
Macey groaned. “Fine.”
She reached for her phone and pressed the buttons to get to her voicemail. He grinned.
“You’ve reached Macey. I’m obviously doing something incredibly important like saving a life or washing my hair, so leave a message and I’ll call you back… and if this is Dallas, well, you know what to do.”
She hung up and Dallas laughed. “Every time I hear that message, I’m gonna get hard.”
“Good,” she said. “It’ll serve you right.”
“One more best, baby, and then you need to sleep.”
“I thought you were going to make that message worth my while.”
“Well, I can do that too,” he said.
She giggled. “Best champagne ever,” she said.
“Dom.”
“Dom?”
“Dom Perignon.” He stroked her hair. “You?”
“I have only ever had sparkling wine, and I know the difference because you so graciously pointed that out in high school.”
Macey’s family didn’t have much in the way of money and she often pretended to know more than she did… at least she tried. If Dallas was anywhere near her, he’d correct her, especially, when it had to do with all things money could buy.
He chuckled. “Sorry, babe. I was in my dick phase.”
“Oh, I’m aware.”
“You’ll have Dom one day.”
“So long as I don’t have a dom one day, it’s all good.”
Dallas slid a hand over her hip. “You might like it, Mase.”
She couldn’t stop a shiver. “With you maybe.”
“Well, yeah with me. No one else, baby. I’m it.”
She craned her neck to kiss him. “Heard you the first time.”
“Just checking.” He kissed her again and she scooted back, closer to him.
“Best blow job ever,” she retorted.
“You.”
“Good answer.”
Dallas gave her a gentle squeeze. “Best movie ever.”
“Troll 2,” she said.
He laughed so hard, he started choking. He sat u
p and brought his coughing under control. “Tell me you’re not serious.”
“I love that movie,” she said. “It’s almost as bad as Sharknado.”
“You got that right,” he said, and stretched out beside her again.
“I win.”
Dallas slid his arm around her waist. “You win this one. I’ll get you one day.”
She couldn’t stop a yawn. “Bring it.”
“Sleep or fun, baby?”
“Sleep I think.”
He kissed. “Night, honey.”
“‘Night.” Macey closed her eyes and smiled, succumbing to sleep faster than she typically did.

Will a threat from someone out of Hawk’s past destroy the trust he and Payton are building?
Payton
I STOOD STARING at the copious amounts of wine choices in the downtown Portland Safeway store. My best friend Macey and I had been invited to a Dogs of Fire compound get together tonight by Danielle Carver who was a relatively new friend and married to one of the officers in the club.
Funnily enough, she was a kindergarten teacher in the same school district I worked for. Different enough schools where we hadn’t run into each other, but we had quite a bit in common and I loved our occasional ‘solve the problems of the world’ conversations in regards to children.
Her husband was not at all who you’d expect Dani to be married to, but when you met him, you also weren’t surprised. Austin ‘Booker’ Carver was gorgeous, sweet, and wholly devoted to his wife. She’d been kidnapped a few months ago, and he’d rained down hell on the people who did it and I liked that.
