The doorbell buzzed and Sabrina stomped her foot when she heard Tamera’s voice on the other end. She forgot that she made plans to go shopping with her. When Tamera walked up to the unit, Sabrina was standing there greeting her with a look of disappointment. “Girl you’re going to kill me.” She bit her thumb as she went on to tell her that she made plans with Henry.
“Oh, whatever. It figures you would trade me for Mr. Too Much Money and Ding-A-Ling.” She laughed as she entered. Tearny walked into the living area and Sabrina introduced the two. Something made Tamera pause when she first saw Tearny. She wasn’t sure what it was, but the look in her eyes was disturbing. She brushed it off as having worked too many years with psych patients and asked her if she would like to go to the mall with her. Tearny declined. She was exhausted and just wanted to lounge around and relax. “Well I guess I’m going shopping solo my ladies.” It was 4:00pm when they said their goodbyes and Sabrina headed to her room to shower.
Tearny sat on the balcony enjoying the view. There was just enough wind blowing to allow the wind chime to sing. She loved that she and Sabrina had so many little things in common- like enjoying the sound of a wind chime. She closed her eyes while she listened to the musical noise and started to drift to sleep. The doorbell buzzing got her attention and she went back in. She looked at her watch and couldn’t believe it was 6:25. She slept longer than she thought.
Sabrina knew it was Henry and quickly answered the door buzz. She stood by the door with a mid-thigh black cocktail dress that was accented with metallic gold thread. She wore a shear black shawl and a pair of black four-inch open toed pumps. When Henry got to her door, it opened before he could knock. “Hey beautiful.” He smiled as she stepped aside telling him to come in. Tearny walked by and greeted him on her way to her room.
“I just have to grab my purse and we can go.” He watched her walk to her room before his eyes scanned his surroundings. He had never been inside, but immediately noticed that she didn’t have any personal or family pictures in site. Before he could go over to see the view from the balcony, Sabrina returned with her purse and was ready to go.
They were quiet on the elevator. Henry opened the passenger door to his grey German engineered luxury sports sedan and held her hand as she got in. She watched him walk around to the driver side and thought he had a rather ‘at eased’ demeanor compared to the days prior. He got in, leaned over and fastened her seatbelt.
“You look amazing.” He lightly kissed her lips then leaned back and put his seatbelt on. “I hope you have an appetite because Monty’s skills will blow your mind.” She told him that she wasn’t really hungry but that she couldn’t wait to have a Monty experience since he bragged so much about his cooking. “Well if you’re not hungry, how about we take a ride before we go to the restaurant?” He went on to tell her that Monty cooks until 11:59pm, so they had plenty of time. She had no idea as to where he was taking her, but she agreed to take a ride.
“I want to show you something that caught my eye not too long ago.” He said nothing more of where they were heading and began talking about his family back in Louisiana. She found it interesting when he spoke of his Aunt Germane. He said that she was ‘born with a veil, so people often avoid being around her’. Sabrina had heard of people who see more than what is obvious, but she never met anyone like that.
After just under a half an hour, he got off the interstate. “Isn’t this Lake Norman?” She could see glimpses of the water between the houses. He told her it was as he pulled into the driveway of beautiful two story home. “I just want you to tell me what you think of this house.” He turned the car off and got out. Sabrina got out before he got to her side. She thought he must have been losing his mind. “So is this an investment property you’re thinking about?” She admired the landscaping that was well maintained. He nodded his head as he entered the code into the lock box to get the key out.
The hardwood floors and wainscot paneling looked fresh. She loved the huge kitchen with its five burner stove, island and granite countertops. She was quiet until they walked to the second level and saw the master suite. “Is that an office in the bedroom? Oh my goodness.” She shook her head thinking about how much he would have to pay and charge just to make a profit. They walked to a bedroom next to the master.
“So what do you think?” He asked as he rubbed his hand across her shoulders. She smiled and walked to the next room which was actually a bathroom as she told him it was really nice. He showed her three additional bedrooms down the hall then walked down stairs to show the second master suite which was just as grand as the one upstairs. “You might be able to rent to a couple people at a time and almost triple your money as big as this place is.” She was amazed with the features as they walked back in the kitchen.
“No, I’m not looking at that type of investment.” He walked up to her and slowly backed her to the island. “You see, I put my house on the market and I was hoping this could be our home.” He tucked his lips in and took a deep breath while he waited for her response. She was speechless and just looked at him. “I know you don’t believe in shacking up and stuff like that.” He rubbed his hand across her face and kissed her. “And I don’t believe in it either.” He looked her in the eyes and tried to stay focused. “I’ve been in love with you for a long time Bri. And the way you are with my girls, they really like you. I would love for you to be my wife and live here with me.” He told her that his realtor is expecting a call from him on Monday morning to discuss a final offer. She slowly shook her head back and forth and slid from between him and the island. As she walked to the sliding glass backdoor, she told him that she couldn’t say that she felt that she should be his wife.
Henry felt like he had made the wrong move. But he promised himself that if she would ever be placed back in his life and his feelings were the same, he would have to try to keep her. He figured it would be best to try to save himself and not run her away. He stood behind her and placed his hands on her waist. “I think this is one of the best lake views out here.” He slid his hands to her hips and kissed her neck. “Are you ready to go meet Monty?” He worked hard to hide the disappointment that he was feeling.
Before they pulled off, he asked her if she had any idea as to what she wanted to eat when they got to the Dinner Club. “Surprise me,” was her response as she fastened her seatbelt. He sent a text to Monty asking him to slowly prepare two of the filet mignon entrée’s. The ride was quiet, but she had a smile on her face that she couldn’t shield. Her mind was blown and she couldn’t believe that he had gone through so much to find a house with her in mind.
When they pulled up to The Dinner Club, it looked fairly basic with the exception of valet parking. From the paperwork, she knew it generated a good amount of money, but it didn’t appear to be anything special. “Mr. St. Pierre.” The doorman tilted his head to him and opened the door for the two. They walked through the coat check in and then to the main dining floor.
She was almost in awe when she saw how beautiful the inside was. There was a live band playing on a small stage as they entered. Red velvet carpet with dining tables in the center and a single row of booths that sat slightly lower were set up around a larger stage where three people were putting on a dance act. The ceiling was dome shaped and was detailed to look like the nights sky with twinkling stars, comets and distant planets. “I was not expecting such class with this place.” She whispered as they were seated in one of the booths. Henry simply smiled.
He ordered their drinks and told the waitress to let Monty know he was there. When the waitress walked away, she looked at her from head to toe and then back up. She was younger but pretty and reminded Sabrina of Rachel . “Did you hire her or did the general manager?” She asked causing him to look with confusion. He leaned back and stared at her for a few moments before he answered. “No, I’ve never slept with her. No lip service or anything.” He took a sip of water and looked at the dancers on stage. “That’s not what I asked you.” She
had a smirk on her face that couldn’t hide her feelings. He slid in closer to her, picked up her hand and rubbed it. “That is what you asked,” he kissed her hand, “but you can tell me that you don’t care if you want”.
The waitress returned with their drinks and soon after she returned with their meal. They sipped their drinks slowly. Sabrina was truly impressed with Monty’s work. “He should cater our wedding.” She nudged Henry in the waist as she told him that she was just kidding. Henry raised an eyebrow but didn’t laugh.
She leaned back in her seat and enjoyed the dancers and their artistic flow on stage. “You barely ate half.” Henry waved his hand towards her plate. She told him that she was full as he put his hand under the table- and on her thigh. He placed his other arm around her waist. She took a big gulp of her drink. As he kissed her neck and then her lips, he realized this was the first time they had been on a real date. “Don’t go losing these thighs on me,” he whispered in her ear as he slowly moved his hand up. She pulled away from him and excused herself to the ladies room.
Before she left the ladies room, she checked her hair and applied more lip gloss. A female staff member came in and smiled at Sabrina as she looked her up and down. “You must be the reason Mr. St. Pierre won’t take any of us up on our offers.” She paused as she looked at Sabrina’s backside. “So maybe- just maybe he is straight.” The woman tossed her hair while looking at Sabrina in the mirror. “So what do you mean by all of that?” Sabrina turned to face her and waited for an answer. “Well I’m not saying he’s gay, but most of the females think he is. But the men say he’s not. So we never really knew because he runs these sex clubs; but he has never taken us up on our personal favor offers.” Sabrina shook her head as she walked out the door thinking to herself that this woman had no idea of how straight Henry is. When she sat back at the table, he kissed her neck and asked if she was ready to go.
They rode through town enjoying the night air and sites. The city always seemed to have a different personality after sunset and Sabrina loved it. After a while, they pulled into the parking lot of Amore. The lot was full. “I don’t go in anymore when the party is jumping like this. I just like to ride by and see how the crowd is every now and then. Get my reports during the morning hours and leave it like that.” He put the car in park and leaned his seat back.
They sat and talked about his fight with Rachel ’s parents over the girls. Then he changed the subject and started talking about travel. She couldn’t believe that despite all the money he made, he had only been out of the country one time and that was to the U.S. Virgin Islands. “So you’re a rich country boy with no stamps in his passport.” Sabrina laughed. They talked until she accidently let out a yawn. “Hey baby. I know it’s late. So do you want to go home or maybe come home with me?” He rubbed the back of his hand across her face. “I think I better go home. After all- Tearny just moved in and I don’t want to seem rude by being out the first night she’s officially my roommate.” She sat up and put her seat belt back on.
When they pulled up in front of her building, Henry asked if he could walk her to her door. He parked in the visitor space and they went up. She told him that she only had wine and tequila, but offered him a drink. “No I’m good for tonight.” He ran his thumb across her bottom lip. “But I would love to keep you company if you want to have a drink”.
As she unlocked the door, she prayed that Tearny would be gone or asleep. Henry sat on the couch as Sabrina went to her bedroom. She looked and saw Tearny was asleep in the other room and gently closed the door. She took her shoes off, went to the kitchen and fixed a glass of wine. Henry took her up on an offer of bottled water and they headed to the balcony to sit and talk. He moved his lounge chair to sit next to hers. He hadn’t seen such a view of the city at night in years. “Do you sit out here a lot?” He asked as he looked to the distant expressway. “No, I don’t come out here at all. You know I like to stay inside.” She silently admired the view. “Yes. I remember you telling me you like to stay indoors.” He noticed that she drunk all of her wine and he poured her another glass since she brought the bottle out with them.
As they conversed, she realized she knew more about him than she thought. The moment felt like one of the many Tuesdays they spent together in the past that were full of conversation and laughter with no sexual contact.
“Do you really love me?” She waited for his answer as she looked up at the night’s sky. She drank the refilled glass halfway down when he told her that he does in fact love her. She sat her glass down, got out of her seat and sat on his lap. “I feel a lot of guilt, but I love you too.” He pulled her close to him. “I know you do.” He whispered as he kissed her ear and then her neck. “Don’t you want to just enjoy the moment?” he said as she started unbuttoning his shirt and running her finger up and down his chest. She looked up at him, but didn’t answer as she continued unbuttoning his shirt. By the time her hand reached his pubic line, she was on her knees next to him. When she unzipped his pants, his dick was fully erect with pre-cum seeping out. She teased him with her tongue and kissed it. Feeling the warmth and moisture of her mouth sliding up and down his dick made him forget what they were even talking about. He only planned on sitting and talking, but he could not refuse her offer to feel the warmth of her mouth on his most sensitive spot.
He tried to not moan as he found one hand immersed in her hair and the other in her bra. The suction she gave couldn’t be compared to anyone who had ever sucked his dick. As he laid his head back, he could feel his climax coming to a head. “Babe, I’m almost there.” He tried to pull her head away, but she enjoyed the tension of having her hair pulled and only sucked with more force. She had her hand on his balls and could feel his sac getting tight. She knew he was about to cum and pushed his dick as far back in her throat as she could. He tried to be quiet with his moan. He couldn’t tell if he was loud or not as he held her head down allowing his man milk to squirt down her throat. Once he was relaxed, she leaned back and drank the rest of her wine. She didn’t mind swallowing his cum, but she wasn’t the biggest fan of the taste. The wine was perfect for removing the flavor.
He all but begged her to take him to her bedroom. When they got there, he pulled her clothes off fast. Her chaise was closer than the bed and that was where they landed. He began to suck on one nipple while he played with her clit. This action combined with the sounds she made caused him to become erect again. The chaise gave him more leverage with one foot remaining in the floor as he slid himself in her. After a short time, he could feel his body wanting to cum again, so he pulled out. He was good for two rounds. He knew if he came before she did this time, she would have to work hard to get him back up.
She immediately thought something was wrong and sat up. “Umm. Where you hide your toys at?” He asked as he panted. She didn’t question him and she went to get them. He held his dick tightly as she pulled out what appeared to be a pillow with a zipper hidden on the side. He looked in and took out a silver bullet. He lay back on the chaise and asked her to get on top. As she slowly placed his stiff dick into her wet tunnel, he turned the silver bullet on and held it against her clit. “Don’t rock back and forth. Don’t move anything.” He talked in an almost demanding tone. As he increased the speed of the bullet, he could feel her getting wetter and tighter. When she would attempt to move her pelvis, he would remind her to be still. She began to breathe harder and wanted to move up and down or back and forth. Sitting still on his dick while he stimulated her clit was driving her crazy. Suddenly she leaned forward on his chest and moaned that she couldn’t take anymore. He could feel her pulsation and pushed himself further up in her. “No baby, be still for me or I’m going to take it out.’ He wanted her to stop rocking back and forth, but she couldn’t. She let out a moaned “no” as her orgasm poured over him and onto the chaise. “Damn, that’s what you needed.” He laid the bullet down and held on to her hips. She rode him as hard as she could. He lifted his pelvis so that she could feel every i
nch of him. She continued to moan “no” when he teased that he was about to cum. Her body started shaking and suddenly she felt a “BOOM” in her body and she heard Henry yell “what the fuck?”
When he looked up, Tearny was standing in the door yelling “she said no….stop hurting her”. Sabrina was screaming and ran to turn on the light. She was covered in blood and felt a burning sensation in her shoulder. Tearny had shot her but was confused. “I can’t let him hurt you like that.”She dropped the gun and fell to the floor next to it in tears.
Henry kicked the gun from Tearny’s reach and called 911. They instructed him on applying pressure to Sabrina’s wound and he pulled her robe over her. Time seemed to stand still for him. The rescue squad arrived first followed immediately by the police. Initially Henry was placed in handcuffs and had to argue to explain to the police that he wasn’t the one who shot her. He felt like he was being disrespectful after the fact, but yelled at one officer. “Sabrina was riding me when that crazy bitch came in shooting.”
Tearny repeated over and over, “I couldn’t let him hurt you like he hurt me.” They placed handcuffs on her and took her to the squad car. Sabrina tried to explain that it was a misunderstanding and that Tearny had been through a lot, but before she could finish her statement, she passed out.
Everything was a blur to him from the time he pulled off behind the ambulance until he arrived at the emergency department. Sabrina was taken directly into surgery and Henry panicked more when a doctor and a nurse came out asking who her emergency contacts were.
“Me, me…I mean that’s my lady. She’s not my wife yet. What’s going on?” He was obviously panicked. They showed him a diagram and explained that the bullet hit her in the left subclavian artery. She lost a lot of blood and were amazed that she was hanging on. The medical team needed to make sure there were no objections to receiving blood or blood products and Henry immediately yelled that they should do whatever was needed to save her. The nurse had him sign some forms and disappeared behind the double doors.
