The Ultimate Erotic Short Story Collection 29 - Paranormal Edition: 11 Steamingly Hot Erotica Books for Women Page 11

by Susan Woodward

He would much rather his food surrender willingly. He cherished the silence of the mornings that gave him inspiration to write the reports that he would have to turn in later when he started his shift. Aster became a detective because it was the only job in which he could fully utilize the other gifts he possessed. He was a brilliant detective; solving almost all of the cases he was assigned. His partner Lewis dubbed him the nickname ‘Sherlock’ because his deductive skills were on a level that no ordinary person could possess.

Lewis was the kind of detective that did most of his interrogations with the end of his gun stuffed into the mouth of his suspects. He was always quick to draw his weapon and demonstrate the power it gave him. Without his wit and gun to protect him, Aster was not confident that Lewis could do much damage. Most of the criminals they pursued were quite tough and ruthless and could easily take Lewis down if they really wanted to. Lewis banked on the element of surprise to bring him most of his success.

The door bell rang two hours sooner than it should. He had skipped breakfast out of respect for Emily and instead opted for a late lunch. He had made his order the night before and was very clear with his instructions to Miss Carver who he called ‘madam’ sometimes in code for reasons of his own. He asked that she send over the girl at 3:00pm. Aster wasn’t too happy with having his meal arrive this soon. The blonde haired woman standing outside of his door, bouncing her hips and chewing loudly on a piece of cherry flavored gum was more of a disturbance than anything else.

Aster’s senses were picking her up as clearly as if she were inside his apartment. Her lips smacked loudly and it irritated him. Aster did his best to stifle his annoyance. He simmered enough to answer the door and let the tiny morsel in. Already he had a bone or two to pick with Miss Carver. She was much too young for his liking and too frail looking for him to enjoy without killing her. He did not appreciate having to be so delicate with his food.

Aster never really cared to know the names of his morsels or hold much of a conversation because to him it was the equivalent of stirring warm food around a plate until it got too cold for consumption. Besides he had his own method of play that was far more entertaining that a conversation with a woman he would never know again after he was through.

She whisked off her coat to reveal the costume he had requested. He had developed a craving for leather and she was plastered in it. Aster looked her over trying to access her readiness for what he was about to put her through. Miss Carver knew exactly what he was and she always assured him that the girls she sent over were as enlightened as she was.

This girl however did not act at all as though she was fully briefed. She started touching herself immediately, twisting her frame enticingly and sucking her teeth to make the sound that a drop of water on a hot pot would. She was indicating her eagerness to give him sexual pleasure because she thought that was all he wanted. Aster scanned her, switching his mode from annoyed to arousal. He was more turned on by the scent of her exhales than the sight of her hands moving provocatively about her body.

He latched onto her hips to steady her and kissed her lips to taste her substance. For Aster kissing a woman that he did not love was the equivalent of absorbing the rich aroma of a sizzling steak, fresh off the grill.

The girl let out an automatic moan in response to his kiss. She tried to take one of his hands from her hips and glide it across the slippery costume to settle in the warmest region of her being, but Aster’s hand did not budge. She wasn’t the one in control of things and he had to teach her that. Her actions were confirming his earlier suspicion that she wasn’t aware of what he was.

“Do you know why you’re here?” Aster questioned her.

“I’m here to give you pleasure” she replied, smiling lustfully.

Aster wasn’t satisfied. She needed to know exactly what he was.

“What am I?” he asked. His tone was demanding as though the spell of arousal had worn off.

  “A client” she answered puzzled.

Aster could tell by the nervous way she batted her eyes that Miss Carver hadn’t done a good job. He let out an annoyed huff of laughter and released her hips.

“That will be all for today then. I’ll see to it that Miss Carver pays you the full rate.” He said dismissively, turning her towards the door.

The girl looked more confused than anything. It wasn’t a total relief to be given a free pass like that because out of all the clients she had ever been sent to service, Aster was by far the most attractive. Aster escorted her to the door and gave her a forced smile before shutting her out. The second he heard the elevator open, he was on the phone with Miss Carver, berating her for making such a terrible mistake.

He reminded her that he had the power to shut her business down if he wanted to but Aster knew he would never deliver on that threat because he valued her service too much. Aster’s choice to blend with humanity robbed him of the chance to thrive amongst his kind. Miss Carver was human but she possessed the unique gift of reading minds.

When they met, he and his partner were carrying out an exercise to crackdown on the surge of ‘pleasure houses’ in New York and she accidentally touched him. The touch granted her access to his mind and she saw what he was. She gave him a wink and before the exercise was over, she had slipped a note into his pocket. The note indicated that she could provide him with what he needed and ever since that day, Aster has been one of her most loyal and valued customers.

After apologizing profusely and explaining that her assistant had made an error which caused her to send a girl that wasn’t briefed to his apartment, Aster calmed down.

“Don’t let it happen again” he warned.

“You have my word Aster.” She replied.

“Will you be having your midnight order?” she asked before he ended the call.

“Yes of course and have it come wearing red” he offered.

The ropes that he had planned to use on his lunch were still coiled up like a snake on the bed and the special pair of handcuffs hung off the bed post, looking as dismayed as he was. Aster returned to his desk and finished his reports quickly.

ASTER met Lewis for coffee at the little café a short walk from the precinct. Lewis was anxious as usual about a new case they were assigned to. A body of a female escort was found in her apartment, she had been strangled to death. After coffee they would leave to investigate the scene. When they arrived at the apartment, already Aster could smell the distinct supernatural aroma of the culprit. He started sketching the profile of the killer in his note pad.

Based on the amount of force it required to crush her trachea while strangling her, he had a good idea of just how strong he was. The assailant was male and Aster could smell the remnants of his semen inside her. Although the victim’s hands and feet were bound, there were no signs of forced entry into the apartment and her sex did not bare any signs of violence which indicated that the killer either knew the victim personally or was one of her clients.

There was one thing about the victim that grabbed Aster’s full attention and that was her sunken skin that quailed making her look like she was scores older than she actually was. His mind was instantly swarmed with the memory of Emily the morning he found her dead. It wasn’t the appearance consistent with strangulation but with what he had learned he was capable of if he ever got carried away. She was unrecognizable in that form and Aster asked Lewis for her driver’s permit to see what she looked like before her demise.

Aster was very good at concealing his reactions and when he realized that the woman in the photo was one of his past meals, he was careful not to make Lewis wise to the fact. The killer was an incubus and as it would appear he shared the same fascination with restraints and special escorts that he did.

Aster felt as though he was viewing his own case, except Emily was the love of his life and this woman was just a meal for the killer. Lewis made a wise crack about the victim getting more than she bargained for and Aster shot hi
m a rebuking glare. He did not understand how Lewis could find humor in such tragedy.

Aster knew that tracking down the killer would be twice as difficult since he would smell him before he got close enough to make an arrest. He had purposely distanced himself from the supernatural world because he did not always agree with the way they handled things. Miss Carver had very close ties with one of the members sitting on the council that oversaw the affairs of the supernatural since he was a client and from what Aster learned about the way they dealt with those that killed humans, he was certain that there would be no justice for the victim.

It was clear to him though that the killer also had strained ties with the world because if he didn't, this body would not have been found the way it was. The Council would have covered up his indiscretion whether it was deliberate or not.

The victim did not live alone; she had a roommate that found her body and called the police. Delia Squire was her name and there was barely any information about her to go on other than the fact that she was twenty seven and lived with the victim. She had gone missing after finding the body and placing the phone call.

Aster waited until he had a moment alone to phone Miss Carver. If there was anyone who would be able to give him some insight about this woman, it would be her. She seemed to know all the underhanded things that went on in both worlds and that was mainly because she had clients from both.

“I think we need to talk in person” she offered on the phone.

Her voice was low as though she did not want anyone to know that she was talking to a detective. She kept speaking in code. It was a special language they had developed to keep their own affiliation a secret.

“Meet me at the office then” Aster returned before ending the call.

The office meant his apartment and this would be the third time she graced him there.

  ***

THREE hours until his midnight snack arrived and Aster was growing impatient waiting for Miss Carver to arrive. She never showed and calls to her phone went unanswered. In all the time he had been dealing with her, she had never neglected to take his call. Aster was growing suspicious. He fell asleep waiting and was awoken by the sound of his doorbell.

Aster flew up and looked at the clock above the door. It was midnight and his meal had arrived on time. He was properly starved, after missing out on his opportunity at lunch. There were very few things that surprised Aster, especially in his line of work, but the scent that he caught from the woman behind the door made him shiver suddenly. He hesitated to open the door but the scent was slowly encouraging him to. It could not have been a human that was sent to him, he would have known from the moment he smelled her.

This was a supernatural but he was unsure as to what kind. Aster bit his concern and opened the door. The woman leaning against the frame was the colour of caramel with long bluish black hair. Her eyes were dark green and cattish. She was wrapped in a snug fitting dress that ceased halfway down her thighs.

Her legs were undressed but they had a smoothness and shine that made them look like she was wearing stockings. She was tall, too tall for the heels that made her tower over him. She had just the right amount of cleavage to compliment her synched in waist that made Aster think that she had worn quite a few corsets in her life. It wasn’t the outfit he expected but it was red and he was pleased with it nonetheless.

She exhaled loudly as though he’d taken ages to open the door and aimed her orbs at his.

“May I come in?” she said in a sultry buttery tone.

It was a first for him to have his meal ask permission to enter. Aster watched the infinity sign tattooed on her neck with two distinct dots in the middle like eyes.

  “Please do” he replied.

She brushed past him deliberately allowing the fullness of her scent to embrace him. It was very enthralling but more importantly, it was familiar. He knew the scent but not the face. Her lips were painted in a deep purple but the suppleness reminded him of the lips he had kissed seven years ago.

“I heard you were looking for me” she offered, throwing him off his train of thought.

If he had stayed there, he would have reached the realization faster but he didn’t.

“Are you from Miss Carver’s house?” he answered with a question.

She seemed to have been disturbed by the mention of the woman’s name but nevertheless she assented.

“You are not like the others” he said with his eyes sweeping over her.

  “Neither are you” she retorted.

She let out a sly giggle.

“Are we going to stand here all night and chat or is there something else that you want?” she said impatiently.

Aster would have leaned in for a kiss but he was curious to know who she was. His hunger would have to wait until she at least told him her name. He suspected from the moment he saw the slight discomfort in her face when he mentioned Miss Carver’s name that she was probably the missing witness.

“Tell me your name” he demanded.

“I thought you didn’t care to know names” she replied.

She was right. This was not how the situation worked. If she was indeed his morsel then he would have begun to feed on her from the second she walked in without asking for her name.

“I changed the rules” he lied.

  “Delia” she said.

She bent down in front of him to free her feet from the stilts that made her a giant. The action had caused her dress to ride up the back of her thighs and when she straightened again they failed to come down. There were so many questions burning inside him for her to answer but at the moment he could not think of one.

“I’m at your service” she said waiting for him to make his move.

He had already envisioned about a hundred positions that he could sample her from just from the flexibility she demonstrated when she took off her shoes. She was shorter than him now and looking up. Aster took her face into his hand and gently wiped the dark lipstick off her lips. It came off easily to reveal her natural dark pink kiss.

Aster knew those lips and he kissed them quickly so he could confirm it. He tasted her force and he knew he had drunk from it before, except it wasn’t as rich as it was now. The lips belonged to the gift Emily had brought him years ago and they were as soft as they were when he had first kissed them. He could not recognize her face because it was withheld from him back then but her scent and taste was all he needed to be certain.

“Delia” he whispered gliding his lips across her cheeks to kiss her ear.

She was awakened by the kiss and realized that the man she had been in search of for the past seven years was the one holding her now. Delia could not come to his rescue when he was under fire for Emily’s death because she did not know who he was and she was coming to terms with a new reality of her own. She knew Emily but not the man she had made her satisfy. Delia never forgot how he felt inside her. One moment her life was slipping and the next it was being restored. All at the same time she experienced pleasure like never before.

His hands got lost in tangles of her hair and he combed his fingers through the length. His nature was taking over quickly and his sex was jerking its way up to alertness. Her skin was cold to the touch but once his energy permeated she was as warm as he was. Delia knew to be still and let him take the lead. There was a lot that she had to explain to him but for now she was willing to conceal it until his thirst was quenched.

He pressed his hands down on her shoulders and led her to the place that ached. Veiled beneath his crotch was a thick stem that needed to be planted in her mouth. Delia reached for his pants and tugged at the zipper to get to his staff. She sank her hand inside and ushered his staff out of the prison. He trembled in her grasp. She spat on its shiny head and moved the moisture around with the tip of her tongue.

Her essence was becoming richer the more aroused she became. Aster wanted to drink from her fountain when the water was the sweetest. She allowed his head to disappear in her m
outh and she pumped the skin on his shaft with her fingers as it bathed in her warmth. Aster covered the tattooed portion of her neck and drew her closer, driving his sex to the furthest point. She coughed and gagged to his delight.
