Revenge Bound Page 24

by Heidi Joy Tretheway

I write with fantastic writers’ groups: 80k Words, NaNo in Feb (aka 4evNo), and Anything Goes. Thanks for the sprints Emily R. Pearson, Annisa Tangreen, KK Hendin, Lex Martin, Brianna Lee, Claudia Bradshaw, Tami Carter and Kerry Taylor (and many more!).

Diana Peterfreund is incredibly generous with advice and ideas, so you’ll spot a tribute to her next book in my last chapter.

Melanie Harlow has been a tremendous ally—thank you for inviting me to the WrAHM Society! These kickass women who wrangle words and kids (stole that line from Gen) have wonderful NSFW commentary on writing and life.

My husband gives me time and space to write, edit, and take glorious “research” trips, while tackling far more than his fair share of housework.

Although my kids are too young to read, I adore their enthusiasm. My three-year-old stands on our coffee table, proclaims, “My mommy writes books!” and then jumps down with a dramatic, “Thank you!”

My parents’ encouragement means even more considering I don’t write PG books. Their unwavering support inspired Violet’s father’s press statement.

Finally, I am grateful to the bloggers, readers and reviewers who cheer for my characters and share my books. I am especially humbled by the enthusiasm and feedback from Lisa Reeves, Sam Stettner, Hetty Whitmore Rasmussen, Naomi Hop, Holly Baker, and Chelcie Dacon-Holguin, whose kind words make me fall in love with these stories all over again.

After typing 76,000 words, these two are the most heartfelt: Thank you.
