“Ahh…” she groaned, and then she shuddered with her own release, her head jerking back, thrusting her glorious breasts forward.

Good God, he’d better leave before he came in his jeans. Just as he started to turn away, Crystaline trained her electric gaze on him again. She ran her tongue slowly over her upper lip then winked.

  I gotta get outta here…

Jack turned and quietly walked back down the hall and out the front door.

Stepping inside his own living room, Jack raked his fingers through his hair then wiped the sweat from his brow with the back of his hand. He didn’t know who the guy with Crystaline was, but he was one lucky bastard.

What was it with her that she liked him watching though?

He reached down and adjusted his hard-on. Jesus. Now what was he going to do? Better yet…what was she going to do after allowing him to see that?

  Chapter Six

Joe reached up and drew Crystaline down onto his chest. She cuddled up and nuzzled his neck. Joe wrapped his arms around her slick body and stroked her back.

  “Are you okay?” he asked.

  “Mmhmm.”

  “Any pain?”

She shook her head. “No. I could use a shower though.”

  “Me, too.”

She rose up and looked at him. Her eyes were bright but not sparking like they were when he arrived. “Let’s go shower, and then maybe we can salvage the food you brought.”

“Sounds like a plan.” He eased her up and helped her clamber off the bed. He pushed up and swung his legs over the edge of the bed. “Wow, I think you wore me out.” His muscles were liquid, satisfaction pumping through his veins.

“Well, rest up. We’ll shower and eat and maybe…” She favored him with a crooked smile.

  Joe laughed. “We’ll see.”

Crystaline grabbed his hand and pulled. “Come on.”

They entered the shower, the spray warm and inviting. Joe groaned when it hit his back, and he pulled her to him, hugging her against his chest. This was wonderful. Good sex with a beautiful woman who he honestly cared about. A woman who was so interesting he wanted to find out more about her.

She reached for the soap and handed it to him. “Wash my back?”

He didn’t answer. Just took the soap from her and turned her around. He ran the bar of soap over her smooth skin, lathering her languidly. His cock twitched but didn’t have enough time to rest. Sheesh, she was something.

They took their time, warm hands moving over wet, soapy bodies, until the water began to run cold. Afterward, they dried each other with soft, thirsty towels and returned to the bedroom to slip on some clothes.

“I am hungry,” she said, walking down the hall toward the living room.

“Me, too.” Joe reached down and picked up the two bags of food still lying on the living room floor. He raised them. “Where’s your microwave?”

“Follow me.” She walked toward a doorway leading to the kitchen.

He watched the sway of her hips, the way she moved so liquidly. Almost like a cat.

After warming the food, they sat across from each other at the kitchen table and ate in companionable silence. Joe was ravenous. The sex and the wildness of the day had made him hungry, and though his sexual appetite had been sated, he needed to feed his stomach.

When they finished, Crystaline rose to clear the table. “Would you like some coffee?”

“Sure.” Joe watched her move around the kitchen. She didn’t seem to be in any pain. The burns must be healing well. But there was something bothering him. “By the way, what were you looking at in the hallway?”

Her hand holding the carafe above the coffeemaker paused for a second, and then she poured the water into the coffeemaker. “When?”

“While we were…you know…” He knew there was something, or someone, in the hallway. She couldn’t have been looking at nothing. She smiled at whatever it was.

“Um.” She returned to the table and sat down. “In the hallway?” She reached for his hand.

He curled his fingers around her slender ones. “Yes, in the hall.”

“Joe, I’ve been feeling quite strange since this—this lightning strike.”

“I know. I’ve seen a bit of it. The dreams. Other stuff.”

“Well”—she flashed a smile—“I’ve been a bit more…horny. It’s unusual for me, to say the least, and when I saw Jack standing in the hall—”

  “Who’s Jack?” he interrupted.

“He’s my neighbor. The one who brought me to the hospital. The one who found me.”

“Your neighbor was standing in the hall while we were…” He squeezed her hand.

  “Yeah.”

He wasn’t sure how he felt about that. He’d always been open to new things when it came to sex, but he’d never been “watched” before. He was going to have to think about this.

“Does that bother you?” she asked, eyebrows raised.

“How well do you know Jack?”

She blushed. “Not very. He just moved in next door not too long ago.”

“Do you have something going with him? Am I stepping on someone’s toes here?”

“No, no.” She shook her head. “We don’t have anything going.”

“Then why was he watching us from the hall, and also, why were you seeming to like him watching us?” He needed to know this stuff. If their relationship was going to go any farther, he needed to know what he was getting into.

Joe had never been one to turn down experimentation when it came to satisfying sexual appetites. He just wanted to be sure where Crystaline stood before he suggested anything out of the norm.

Crystaline pulled her hand away and rose from the table. The aroma of fresh brewed coffee filled the kitchen, giving it a very homey touch. She poured two cups and returned to the table before she answered. Placing a cup in front of Joe, she took the seat beside him instead of across from him.

A good sign, he thought. She wants to get closer. She wants to reveal something about herself.

She took a tentative sip of coffee, her intense eyes peering at him over the rim of the coffee cup.

Joe lifted his cup to his lips, inhaling the aroma, giving her time.

Crystaline carefully placed her cup on the tabletop and splayed her hands on the cool surface on either side. “Okay,” she said in a rush. “Here’s the thing—something strange is happening to me, and I can’t explain it, and I may be going crazy but—I feel like I’m in heat.”

Joe lowered his cup. “Everyone has urges. Why do you feel it’s so strange?”

She took a deep breath. “It’s not only that.” She hugged herself then, rubbing her hands over her upper arms. “I have this blue dream…”

Joe reached out and took one of her hands, drawing it toward him before clasping it between both of his. “Crystaline, you can tell me anything.”

Her whole body seemed to relax as she began to speak. She told him about the blue dream, about how it overpowered her, about the “thing” clawing her insides wanting out and that the only thing that calmed it was sex.

“When did this start?” Joe asked, rubbing the palm of her hand with the pad of his thumb.

“When I woke up in the hospital. Wait—before I woke up because I was dreaming that dream when I woke up.” She rose to refill their coffee cups, then returned to her seat.

Joe didn’t know quite what to make of the whole thing, but he was willing to listen. He liked Crystaline. Maybe even felt the beginnings of an even stronger emotion. He still needed to know more. “So, what does this all have to do with Jack watching from the hall and you enjoying it?”

“I was coming to that.” She moistened her lips with a flick of her tongue. “I didn’t used to be this way, not until after the lightning struck, but I thought what if something struck me dead, out of the blue? It could happen.” She pointed her finger at him. “Even to you.”

  “Yes…”

“And I was feeling so good, so sexy
when I saw him standing in the hall…”

Joe saw the first flash of electric sparks flicker across her eyes since she had been riding him. It’s starting again, he thought.

“…and he looked so hot,” she continued, “that I wondered what it would feel like with two of you.” She leaned forward and tilted her head. “It would be so…satisfying.”

Joe’s balls jittered, and his cock sent a signal that nap time was over.

Crystaline caught her bottom lip with her teeth and lasered him with pure electric blue eyes. “Am I bad for thinking that way?”

“No,” he said, his throat so tight he could barely speak.

“Is it…if I asked him…” She gazed at him from beneath lush, dark lashes.

  “Call him up,” Joe said.

  Chapter Seven

She didn’t know what was happening—what had happened—to her, but she was going to enjoy it while it lasted. The blue dream was scary. This was not. If this was what it took to keep the blue dream in check, who was she to argue? Sex with two men? One with a long, lean biker look. Another with a clean-cut, hard body, All-American– guy look. She wasn’t going to turn that down. To hell with keeping herself to herself. She didn’t have anyone to answer to, right? She’d figure out the blue dream and the electric feelings later.

“Are you sure?” she asked. “I don’t want to mess up what we’ve started.” She liked Joe, liked him from the start. He was the definition of a man who was not only hot, but also stable. And stable was what she needed right now.

Joe shook his head. “Nothing is going to mess up what’s between us. If you want to experiment, add a bit ‘more’ to our escapades, I don’t have a problem with it.” He reached over and stroked her arm. “I have to be honest. This threesome won’t be my first time.”

  “Really?”

“Really. So stop worrying about it and make the call.”

Crystaline felt the zinging begin to move through her as she punched Jack’s number into the phone. She hoped he was home.

He answered on the third ring. “Hello?”

“Hello, Jack. This is your neighbor, Crystaline.”

  “Uh, hello.”

Crystaline smiled, hearing the hesitation in his voice. “I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind coming over.”

  “Is something wrong?”

“No, no, I just would like to talk to you about something. It’s sort of important.”

“If it’s about what happened earlier, with me in the hall—”

“It is, and it isn’t,” she interrupted. “Can you come over?”

  He sighed. “Now?”

  “Yes. Now.”

  “Okay. I’ll be right there.”

Crystaline hung up the phone then wrapped her arms around Joe’s neck. He had been standing in the living room doorway, listening to her side of the conversation. He cupped the cheeks of her ass and molded her to him.

“Your eyes are sparking,” Joe said, the tip of his nose touching hers.

“I can feel it,” she whispered, moving her pelvis against the growing bulge in his jeans.

  “Feel what?”

“The lightning.” She swiped her tongue over his lower lip. Adrenaline jittered through her, and she groaned, gazing directly into Joe’s eyes. She kissed him softly on the mouth, eyes open, then rubbed her cheek against the beginnings of stubble on his. There was a strange tickling in the back of her throat, almost an itch.

“Are you…purring?” Joe asked, his lips brushing her ear lobe.

  The doorbell rang.

Crystaline pushed out of Joe’s embrace, so turned on she could barely breathe. She swung the door wide. “Jack. Come in.”

Jack glanced at Joe as if to ask permission.

She grabbed Jack’s arm and pulled him inside. “It’s okay. He knows you were in the hallway.” Closing the door, she moved to stand in front of Jack.

“Hey, man, I’m sorry I barged in before I—”

“Shh,” Crystaline said, trapping Jack’s lips beneath her finger. “It’s okay with him. Really. Now, Jack meet Joe. Joe, this is Jack.” She dropped her finger.

  Jack nodded at Joe.

“Thanks for finding her that night,” Joe said.

“Yeah, well…” He looked down at her. “This is a little awkward. Why did you need me to come over?”

She took his hand and led him to the couch. “Please, sit.”

He sat on one end. Joe sat on the chair facing the couch.

“Coffee?” She tried to sound bright and chipper, but it came out sexy and breathy. Goodness, her pussy felt as if a million bubbles were bursting against it. Something had to happen soon.

  “No, thank you.”

Crystaline sat down next to Jack and placed her hand on his firm thigh. She caught the quick glance he gave Joe.

“Listen,” Joe said, leaning forward and propping his elbows on his knees, “I honestly don’t mind that you were in the hallway, so just let that go, okay?”

  “Seriously?” Jack asked.

Joe nodded. “Seriously. Crystaline, tell him why you asked him here.”

It was now or never. She squeezed the hard muscle of Jack’s thigh. “Joe and I were wondering if you’d like to join us for a threesome.”

“You’re kidding, right? I mean, this is so…” Jack’s voice trailed off, his gaze shifting from her to Joe, then back to her.

She took his hand in hers. “We’re serious. I find you very sexy, and I’d love to get to know you a lot better.” The clawing sensation was creeping through her, in her tummy and moving downward. God, she wanted Jack. And Joe. Both. Now.

Jack looked at Joe. “I’m not into other guys.”

  “Not a problem.” Joe smiled.

“So,” Crystaline said, moving closer. “What do you think?”

Jack met her gaze. “Will it make you happy?”

Crystaline answered his question by swinging her leg over his and straddling his lap. She placed her hands on either side of his head and leaned forward, stopping just when her lips barely touched his. “Oh yes, it will make me very happy,” she said against his mouth.

  Chapter Eight

All he had to do was move a fraction of an inch, and her mouth would be his to claim. Jack could taste her breath. Rich, dark coffee. Close, with eyes open, she glowed from within.

There was no need to second-guess this. It was a gift from the heavens, and he wasn’t going to turn it down.

He grasped her by the waist, pulling her closer, and captured her lips, invading her mouth with his tongue. Instantly, she moved against him, rocking her hips on the growing bulge in his jeans. She tasted of warmth, and he wished he could put something else in that luscious mouth besides his tongue.

She tilted her head, raking her nails through his hair, deepening the kiss.

Jack slid his hands down to the round globes of her ass and squeezed. She let out a little mewling sound and rose up on her knees, her mouth still connected to his. She tilted his head back on the couch, devouring him. Heat roared from her, her body pressed against his chest. She was literally a writhing, hot mass of female.

Jack jerked his head to the side, breaking their connection, and sucked in a much-needed breath.

“Mm,” Crystaline moaned, nuzzling his ear.

Jack grasped her waist with sweaty hands and reluctantly moved her away from him. “Slow down, baby. Give yourself time to enjoy it.” He brushed a lock of hair out of her eyes when she sat back. “Besides, a man’s gotta breathe, you know.”

He heard Joe chuckle. He’d almost forgotten about him.

Crystaline’s chest rose and fell, her breathing heavy from her exertion. “I’m going for some water,” she said, her voice low. When she rose from his lap, she stroked her hand across the hard-on still trapped in his jeans. Jack closed his eyes for an instant, clenching his fists. Then her hot, little hand was gone from his privates.

He opened his eyes and watched her bottom sway across the room as she headed f
or the kitchen. God, he had to have some of that, or he’d die dreaming about it.

“She’s something, isn’t she?” Joe asked, breaking into Jack’s thoughts.

“Is she always like that? I mean, I know her, I like her, but we’ve never…” He raised his hand, palm up.

“I’m just getting to know her, and from what I’ve seen so far, she could wear a man out.” Joe raked his fingers through his hair and chuckled again. “That’s why I’m kind of glad you’re coming into the picture. I don’t think I can handle her alone.”

“What is—don’t you two—” Jack had never been in this situation before. He wasn’t quite sure how to act.

“Jack,” Joe said, looking him directly in the eye. “I’m not the jealous type. I really like Crystaline. More than like her. If it takes a ‘sharing’ relationship to keep her happy, I’m willing to do it. How about you?”

“I’ll give this a shot. That’s all I can say for the moment. I really like Crystaline, but I can’t commit to anything permanent in a situation like this. You understand, don’t you?”

Joe nodded. “Of course. We’ll play it by ear. See how it goes.”

Crystaline returned from the kitchen, a half-filled glass of water in her hand. “I’m sorry, Jack. I basically jumped you. I didn’t mean to do that.”

He grinned. “Are you kidding? What more could a guy ask for than to be jumped by you?”

She smiled and crossed the room, stopping in front of the couch. She leaned down and brushed his lips with a kiss. When she stood, Jack saw an electric spark in her eyes again. They glimmered like blue crystals rimmed by dark lashes. God, he wanted her.

“Shall we?” she asked, holding out her hand to him.

  * * * *

When Jack took her hand, Crystaline felt warmth slide from her hand up her arm and straight to her center. Shakily she raised the glass of water to her lips and gulped the cool liquid. She had a feeling she was going to need it. She placed the empty glass on the end table and glanced over her shoulder at Joe. With a jerk of her head, she signaled him to follow, then led both men down the hall toward the bedroom.
