Mostly Love Page 12

by Jayna Fontenot

A few weeks after the fire, Devin moved in with Melody. And one night, after only mentioning it once, she came home to a small, wiggly puppy that rushed to greet her at the door. She’d scooped him up, named him Noodles, and when she went to bed, she made love to the man who made her happier than anyone she’d ever known.

And a few months later, on the night following the opening, she laid casually in the lap of the man she’d love for the rest of her life. With a dog in her lap, a game on TV, and Devin sipping a beer, everything was finally right with her world.
