He jerked as his cum shot deep into her channel. Her muscles continued to wring out every drop of essence he had inside him. He jerked and bucked until he had no strength left to do so.
She realized at this point that he hadn’t stung her with his tail or even used it at all this morning. It must only be for special times. He leaned his mouth into her neck for what she expected to be a kiss but he bite her.
“Ouch, what was that for?” She asked.
“Demons bite.” He replied with a grin.
“Watch it or I’ll bite back.”
“You’ve bitten me before.” He mentioned.
She thought about it and realized she had but only when he bit her first. She wasn’t really sure how she felt about being bitten or being stung. It was a bit uncomfortable but not really painful. It seemed to be something he enjoyed so she’d wait and see just to be sure he didn’t overdo it. It wasn’t like he was a vampire and would drain her blood. At least she didn’t think he was.
They finished cleaning up, drying off and dressing, then headed to get some breakfast. They would each have a long, hard day of work ahead of them. Until the project was completed, there would be no days off for either of them. Today, they would start filming the free video. Excitement ran through her, she loved her job. She thought of the unprecedented bids she’d gotten and how much that would help the demons in their attempt to support themselves. That would in turn give the gods more money because the demons would no longer need their support. They would be equals in all things then.
Chapter 8
A Ransom
The video was going well for both the band and the camera crew. It was funny to watch Devon crawling on things, hanging from things and laying on the floor to catch a particular shot. Everyone insisted he got the best shots so Lu wondered why didn’t they all emulate him? Didn’t they want to be the best? It seemed most humans went to a certain point but never gave it all they had. With that kind of competition, his band would shine.
He knew they were good. They had innate talent, it was just there with no training or practice. He’d heard there were humans like that too. He wished he could meet some and see how they had grown their talent and if they did as well as Stef thought they would, he just might get the chance. She’d shown him some videos of groups that wore costumes but none looked as dramatic as they did. She showed him some groups that also used outlandish behavior but no one could be as crazy as a demon. She suggested that in order to appeal to more humans that the outlandish behavior not be included. Especially not if the behavior caused harm to another living thing.
Lu was fine with that. He didn’t want to hurt animals or other people. He was a lover, but if need be he was also a fighter. He didn’t mind if that skill wasn’t necessary. Some of the gods loved to fight to the point where they fought each other if no enemies were available. These were called practice matches, but sometimes Doc was called to see to the injuries. Demons had been immersed in violence their whole lives and had no need of it now. They entered the cafeteria and it was nearly full so they grabbed their trays. They filled them first, before finding seats among some demons.
They all looked at Stef with interest not that they’d act on it. They looked but they didn’t even speak until spoken to. These were his people and he knew they would protect and defend her and the other females to the end. He couldn’t say why he was hit with waves of jealousy from time to time. If he would be jealous, it should be of Devon. Maybe the fact that he had taken her from Devon made his presence easier to bear.
They ate quickly. Speaking little in their hurry to get to work. Devon had a grueling twelve hour day planned and Stef had mentioned checking on the video of Dori to see if it had aired or when it would air. She practically vibrated with excitement which Lu took to be a good sign. Many of his demons would be extras hanging around the room just being demons. There would be costumes to make them look more dramatic. They would also wear makeup, something Lu had initially intended to shirk but Stef had convinced him to at least give it a try. This was where Gloria would come in and she was rumored to be the best independent in the business.
They finished putting up their trays, now they would go in different directions. They would be too busy to miss each other. He went to hair and makeup, an odd thing for a male. Gloria was working on Win who frowned horribly.
“Are we not done yet?” He asked impatiently.
“Almost.” Gloria answered.
“That’s what you said ten minutes ago.” He snarled.
“I’d be done faster if you quit frowning and stopped asking.” She advised. “Hey Lu. The rest of them are done so you’re next.” She didn’t seem upset because of Win’s unfriendly ways. Lu suspected she was used to it. “Have a seat while you wait.”
Lu sat down and watched the transformation with interest. She was giving Win a dark look that made him almost frightening. Win normally braided a few sections of his hair with beads and other ornaments but Gloria braided all his hair in sections and used glass skulls of various colors to draw attention to it. It was dramatic but Win’s hair shook every time he moved his head. Lu wondered what she’d do to him.
Gloria had put smudges around Win’s eyes that made him look like he had returned from the dead. His eyelashes had been lengthened and he’d swear Win wore lipstick. Normally he’d tease him but Lu decided it was best to see what Gloria had planned with him, it might be worse. He raised his hand nervously to his hair. He couldn’t imagine anything she could do with his hair since it wasn’t long like Win’s and he didn’t want it cut like she’d done to some of the other guys.
He sat waiting patiently although he felt like squirming. Right now he felt like a young demon about to get disciplined.
“Okay, I’m ready for you.” Gloria directed.
Oh joy! “I’m coming.” He told her. He wished he was anywhere but here.
“Your hair is a nice color but maybe we should add a rinse to make the red brighter?” She suggested. “Maybe not.” She added as she turned to look at his face. She left his hair be as she pulled out a giant makeup kit with drawer after drawer of bottles, cakes of shadow, powder and rows of lipstick. He knew he must look horrified.
She started to work brushing on something. She just continued to work ignoring him as if he was a statue she was decorating. It was a little disconcerting, but at least she left his hair alone. The mascara and eyeliner were his compromise, the only ones he intended to make to anything he considered over the top. When she turned him to the mirror. He barely recognized himself. He looked like an evil warrior from those fantasy flicks of a bygone era. He could live with it.
He went to wardrobe next which was the next room over. None of the winged demons would wear shirts but she did have medallions and arm bands for them to choose from. She’d told him to get creative. There was a selection of pants, leather ones with colors that varied as did the texture. He went for the deep purple suede pants. Luckily, while demons did vary somewhat in size, they were all at least six foot and slim in the waist. The pants fit tight enough that Lu was afraid his cock might rip them asunder if it got hard. At least they seemed to have a little give so he could breathe. He snubbed the boots and shoes and went barefoot, but he did find a medallion with a purple glowing skull on it that he wore.
When he entered the music room, the last demon in, it felt surreal. They looked like their namesakes, scary hellish demons turned loose on Earth. It was dramatic and would go well with the music they produced which was a combination of rock and roll and some haunting melodies almost reminiscent of certain kinds of music from Ireland and much earlier times. It was something that sounded otherworldly enough for a Band of Demons to play with their devilish leader.
They warmed up their instruments playing parts of songs one after another with no list to go by giving the impression they could read their leader’s mind but they’d played together long enough and with a limited list of songs, it was easy to guess what he would play next.
>
Devon approached him and Lu looked up to see what he wanted.
“Let me know when you’re warmed up and ready to go.” Devon requested.
Devon recorded all of their practices too so he wasn’t sure why it mattered. “Okay, we’re ready now.” Lu offered as all the demons stopped and waited for Devon to signal he was in place.
It hadn’t taken long to figure out he was the important one on the camera crew. The others were only supplemental and rarely used for the actual filming. They usually caught odd or funny things that ended up on bonus DVDs as outtakes or behind the scenes shots that would be added to a special sales package. Devon rarely messed up and Lu was glad. He wanted this done and he wanted things to move along.
They started playing the song that Stef would release as a single. It would be free to fans but not to the networks. He wasn’t really sure how all that worked and honestly, he didn’t care. He just needed the overall success of the project and Stef was already proving she could get things done. They played through the start and he sang on his mark. He sang his heart out about the need to be free. He told of his soul mired in misery longing and needing just to be free. The song was so sad, poor Gloria stood at the edge of the room with tears running down her face. Had the room been full of humans, any with one drop of sympathy for others would have been moved to tears. He’d heard not everyone liked sad songs but it was the song that came to him when he needed it and Stef had said it would do fine as she wiped her eyes.
“Did you get it?” Lu asked Devon.
He showed him two thumbs up and while he hadn’t spilled tears, his eyes were red. “I got it good. I need some eye drops, my eyes are straining from all this filming,” he explained. Lu just grinned.
It was lunchtime and they were done for the day. It was a relief to have the filming wrapped up, but now they would have time to worry about how it all turned out. Lu’s phone buzzed and he reached in to pull it out. Zeus had texted him. Call me right away matter is urgent. Lu wondered if it had to do with the demons that were sold. If it did, it was bad news because he would have said if they’d been found. By the time he made it to his office and had dialed the phone, he was a basket case. He was certain it concerned his captive brothers and that it was not good news.
“Zeus here!”
“It’s Lu.” He said needlessly. Caller ID on everything they owned had already alerted Zeus that it was him calling. “What’s the news?”
“We received a message. He says he has a demon slave, but he’s willing to bargain for him.” Zeus explained.
“What does he want?” Lu asked, his throat dry and dread filling him.
“You or to be exact, you and your band to play a private concert. He says it’s for a sweet sixteen and she is a fan of demons. You’ll get your demon back and he’ll get something for his time, trouble and expense.”
“You think it’s a trap?” Lu asked but he wondered what else it could be.
“Maybe. It might be that he bought the demon for a purpose he’s not able to fulfill and like any sharp businessman, he wants something of value for his investment.”
“They are so cold and unfeeling over a life.” He whispered.
“I know, but he’s given us an offer and if we don’t deal, he’ll try someone else.”
“We do what we have to do. I’ll call a meeting but I know the band will want to try to deal.”
“Very good. Call me back once you’ve come to a conclusion.”
The weight of responsibility lay heavy on his shoulders as he knew he would be using his band to try to free a demon who’d suffered long and hard. He was risking so many for just one, but as long as one suffered, they all suffered. When it came down to it, it was really no decision at all. He went to lunch where they would eat and then he would call the meeting. He would give them another hour to feel a sense of accomplishment before he spread the weight of this new responsibility.
He saw Stef waiting for him with a smile making him smile back at her. He simply couldn’t help himself. Even though he felt bad, he didn’t want it to infect her as well. He’d have to tell her later but it hurt nothing to let her enjoy her meal without bad news. He leaned in to give her a kiss, it was a habit he found he enjoyed. He thought he was turning into quite the good boyfriend. They sat and ate and she commented on how quiet he was but he just smiled at her and she let it go.
Once everyone was done eating, he called for his demons attention.
“I have to call a meeting of all demons and pass on some information Zeus has given me.” No one looked happy. He was sure they recognized bad news coming down the track.
It was a loud if unhappy group that made their way to the meeting room. Everyone managed to sit down as Lu stepped up to the front.
“Zeus called me right before I went to eat. I’m not sure if all of you are aware of the newest situation so I’ll fill you in on that first. They arrived at a facility just after some demons had been taken away. There was evidence that led them to believe our brothers had been sold to wealthy buyers. They have not been able to find any clues that could lead them to these buyers. All the trails went cold and they had nothing left to follow.”
There was some cussing and grumbling and Lu gave things a moment to die down.
“He just called me with an update. One of the buyers heard about our band and in return for us playing at a party, he will give us our brother back. He says he must recover his expenses. Zeus thinks our brother didn’t work out as the buyer had hoped for and he may be trying to recover something of value for his investment.”
“How do we know if it’s true?” Win ask.
“Zeus will ask for proof. The bigger problem is it may be a trap to get more demons. Anyone who goes will be at risk. He wants the band and of course we’ll be able to take half a dozen more in the guise of roadies. I wouldn’t order anyone to go. Volunteers only are taking this trip. I want you guys to think about it and let me know before bedtime. I’m due to call Zeus back in a few hours.”
The demons started talking in groups for a short time. Lu was about to leave to give them some time to figure it out when Win approached him. “You have some volunteers to work with.” He declared.
“How many?” Lu asked.
“All of us.” He chuckled.
Lu glared at him but he was actually thrilled everyone had come through even if he felt guilty for risking them.
“We won’t need them all, but we want to increase our odds of making it back home with our brother. We’ll have to make a careful selection based on skills.” He admitted.
Some wouldn’t appreciate having to stay behind. Sometimes no matter who you picked, someone was upset to be left behind.
“Dismiss them and tell them we’ll choose the team after I get all the information from Zeus.” He said and he left the room in search of his female.
She looked up with a smile. “So, what’s all the secrecy about? I know you’ll tell me.” She said.
“It’s about a possible demon recovery. We may go out on a mission.” He replied.
“Oh no. You think you’re going to leave me hanging like that? I want details.” She insisted.
“Some demons were sold to buyers as slaves. One of them is willing to return his in exchange for something.”
“I’m sure whatever it is, you’ll do it.” She observed.
“We intend to, but it’s not that easy.” He admitted.
“Tell me.” She insisted.
“He wants the band to play at a party.” Lu explained.
“That’s crazy. Is the guy certifiable?” She wondered.
“Either it’s a trap, or he’s looking to recover his cost by getting a service. Either way we have to try.” Lu noted.
She started to answer but stopped. Maybe she’d wanted to object but she knew she couldn’t. “I’m going with you.” She demanded.
“It’s not safe.” He explained.
“I don’t care. He’ll expect your manager to come with you. I mi
ght be a help. Even if he goes after some of you, he won’t want a human. I’m no good to someone targeting demons.”
How could he let her take such a risk? How could he stop her when she insisted on it? He knew it was dangerous but she would probably be the safest one in their group. As a human and female, they were least likely to try to harm her. But as a boyfriend, he worried about her and any risk was too much. He wanted her safe and sound as far from danger as possible.
“I love that you want to come with me.” He whispered as he pulled her into his arms. “You’re the most beautiful, giving female I’ve ever met.”
“You’ve not met many females.” She quipped.
He smiled at her attempt at light humor. “This will be so dangerous that I don’t know if I will be able to stop worrying about you long enough to do what I should if you go.” He finished.
“You’ll be fine because you have a warrior’s heart. I know you went on some missions with Doc or Sierra and I know how close you are to them. You’ll be fine.”
“You’re right, I am close to all of your sisters that I know, but what I feel for you is different, special and so much more that I can’t even describe it.”
“I care about you the same way and I won’t stay behind.”
They stood there eyes locked trying to decide the most difficult question of their relationship so far. It would set the tone for their relationship and what kind of freedom he would allow her. Would she be a partner or would she feel like a protected possession?
“I don’t want you to go, but I understand the need to be involved. You can go but you have to listen, do you understand?”
“Yes.” She replied as she fought the inappropriate smile that threatened to break out.
