Nyana
“I don’t want to. Please leave me alone.” I cried as my perverted foster father attempted to molest me again.
“Come on Nyana. Let me just put the head in.” This is the first time he’s actually asked to penetrate me. He usually makes me get naked and jerks off to my body.
If you’re wondering if I’m allowing this; hell no. However; his drunk ass wife is most likely in a stupor with a cigarette hanging out her mouth. It’s what she does damn near every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, which are the days he barges in here.
“Just go.” I tried to push him out and he grabbed my wrists.
“Stop this.” I wasn’t a virgin and at the tender age of 16, I refuse to let this man rape me. Yes, he’s sort of doing it without touching me but him sticking his dick in me, is not happening.
“Look how wet you are. You want it.” He ran his hand up and down my pussy.
“I’m on my period.” And just like that, he let go and pushed me on the ground.
“Bitch, why would you let me touch you?” He started kicking me over and over.
“What the hell are you doing?” My foster sister Sade came rushing in when I screamed.
“Get the fuck in your room.” He tried to push her out and outta nowhere I heard him scream.
“AHHHHH!” I couldn’t even look to see what she was doing because my eye was closing, and my ribs felt as if they were broken.
“Touch her again, and I’ll cut this motherfucker off.” Sade said. She’s the person you always wanted in your corner. Ratchet, ghetto, ignorant and hood is one way to describe her. Another way is cool, calm and collective; meaning she’s on some Dr. Jekyll, Mr. Hyde type shit.
“A’ight. A’ight. Just let go.”
“Where are your car keys?” He didn’t answer so she made him yell again.
“I’m taking her to the hospital and you better hope I tell her not to mention who did this.”
BAM! I heard and then a loud thump. A few seconds later, Sade was helping me off the ground.
“It hurts sissy.” It’s what I called her since we met six years ago.
Both of us were adopted by the Simpsons and it was the perfect place to be in the beginning. We even had their last name and neither of us chose to change it when we got older.
Unfortunately, once I turned fourteen and begin developing, Mr. Simpson started having a fetish with me. I paid it no mind at first because it only consisted of staring and make inappropriate comments. Then, it went to smacking me on the ass and walking in on me as I took a shower.
Next, it was making me get naked so he could jerk off. Tonight,
is the first time he’s attempted and tried to penetrate me. I asked Sade if he’s ever tried anything with her and she said no.
I went to Mrs. Simpson and voiced my concern and she had the nerve to tell me, it’s my fault. I shouldn’t wear fitted clothes and dress nice. I need to just give him what he wants, and he’ll leave me alone. He only wants to feel what it’s like to fuck a young girl. Her words, not mine.
I’m not sure but I truly believe it’s why she drinks the way she does. He’s probably told her and instead of throwing him out, she let it happen. She’ll use herself being drunk, as the reason she didn’t know if anyone asks. Yup, she had it all planned out if social service showed up.
“It’s ok. We’re getting outta here.” Sade had me sit in the car and wait. The longer she took, the harder it was for me to stay awake.
“Ok. All done.” I heard the trunk slam and Sade jumped in the front seat. Mind you I’m 16, she’s 17 and neither of us had license. It didn’t stop us from learning with the guys we hung with on the streets.
“After the hospital, we’re going away.”
“How?” I barely got out as the blood started to come up when I coughed.
“We’ll talk when you’re better. Let me pick Tashi up. We need an adult at the hospital.” I nodded and rushed her to get me help.
****************
“You two can stay in this room.” Tashi said and pointed to the extra bedroom she had. Tashi is the hood sister everyone wanted and loved.
She didn’t have a man or kids. She had her own catering business and worked at the club as a bottle girl/ bartender on her off days. She made tons of money at the club and no matter how much the owner and other men asked, refused to be a stripper.
She also worked as a para professional at the high school which is how we met her. She’s cool with all the kids but after hearing Sade and I were in foster care, she brought us clothes, shoes and gave us money if we needed. I considered her my big sister.
When I say she was always working, she really was. Her famous saying is, never depend on a man because once you do, he’ll own you. I didn’t agree but hey what do I know?
“Thanks Tashi.” I said and laid on the twin size bed.
It’s been a week and I was just released from the hospital. Sade brought my homework home and all the teachers sent me get well cards and the principal and guidance counselor visited me. They were aware of the things taking place in the foster home because I was very tight with them.
I had to beg and plead for them not to get social services involved because we’d be moved to another foster home and possibly suffer worse.
Mrs. Simpson did visit me at the hospital as well and after Sade beat her up, she warned her about opening her mouth.
In return for her silence, she’d be allowed to continue collecting a check and food stamps. She apologized and even brought our social security cards and birth certificates up so we could get jobs. Little did she know, we were emancipating ourselves, which meant we’d be our own guardians. Once she figured it out, it’ll be too late and she’ll owe the state all the money back.
“I know you’re in pain but tomorrow we have to get you two emancipated. I can’t have the cops rundown on my place accusing me of kidnapping you two.”
“Ok.” My eyes were closing because the medicine was kicking in.
“Do you need anything?” She asked and pulled the covers over me.
“Tashi, I know this is a lot but I really appreciate you taking us in.”
“You two don’t deserve what’s happened to you and living on the streets would’ve only made things worse.” She wiped the few tears falling down my face.
“I promise when I’m better to get a job at McDonald’s to help you with the bills.” She smiled.
“The money you make will be yours.” She stood.
“My advice would be too spend what you need and start saving. You’ll want to be on your own sooner than you think.”
“Tashi.” I called before she stepped out.
“Yea.”
“Where’s Sade?
“Who knows?” We laughed because my sister is definitely a street chick.
“Oh. I’m working tonight.”
“Ok.” I started panicking a little.
“It’s ok Ny. The Simpsons don’t know where I live.”
“You sure?”
“Positive. You think they’d come to this neighborhood?” She stayed in the suburbs, where the Simpson’s were on the other side in the hood.
“You’re right. Be careful at work.”
“I will.” She blew me a kiss and my eyes closed soon after.

“Baby, I’m not sure how I look in this.” My fiancé Robin said coming down the steps. We were on our way to one of the many corny events my mother had.
Once a month or every other month, she’d throw something together just to show off how much money she has. It’s sad to say but my mother is one of those women who feels like you had to show off what you had to make people respect you. As if a person with lesser money doesn’t deserve it. She’s a piece of work and I’m surprised my father kept her around this long.
“You look good.” I smiled staring at her coming down. The red dress was fitted perfectly, and the shoes were a match. Her hair was brushed to the side and after the way she and I went at it earlier, I knew tonight would be even better.
I met Robin seven years ago at the mall. Nothing spectacular happened as far as meeting but the second she spoke, I was all in. The following day, we met up for lunch and we’ve been together ever since. I proposed on vacation last year and couldn’t be happier that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with me.
My mother absolutely adored Robin and it could be because she was stuck up too. My father could care less, my grandmother couldn’t stand her and cursed her out too many times to count, and my sister nor brother wanted to be around her. Of course, I wanted my entire family to love her but it didn’t happen that way. However; I’m not marrying them and it’s all about my happiness.
Lately, things have been off tho. Sex is still off the chain but she’s going out more and that’s not a problem. My issue is her rolling in well after the bar closes or claiming she stayed at her moms. I did show up a few times at her mothers and granted she was there, but again; I’m no fool. Something is definitely up and she better hope it’s not someone else. One thing I’ve never done, is cheat and I expect the same in return.
“Thanks babe.” She pecked my lips and opened the door. I couldn’t help but squeeze her ass through the dress.
“Mmmm. We’re gonna have a long night.” She smiled walking to the car.
“We sure are.” I opened the door and made sure not to close the bottom of the dress in it.
“You know your mom wants the wedding colors to be purple and black.” Robin said as I sat down. I turned her to face me. She adored my mom and wanted to make sure she pleased her.
“It’s your wedding. Don’t let her decide on the colors because she’ll make the decisions for everything.”
“Yea but...”
“But you choose.” She smiled.
“I know you and my mother are cool but stop letting her walk all over you.”
“Kenji.”
“You want me to say something?” I pulled out the driveway.
“No. I’ll do it.”
“That’s my girl.” I held her hand the rest of the way. Hopefully this shit will be over sooner than later.

“This is beautiful Kenji. Your mom definitely knows how to throw a party.”
“It’s a’ight. Do me a favor.”
“What’s going on?” She asked because my cell kept going off.
“Something with the new hotel. Find our table and I’ll be right back.” She nodded and I dipped out the side and went straight to my car.
I hated when people couldn’t do what they were supposed to. Like right now
, I’m pulling up to a trap house because supposedly the people running it were robbed. Its on a dead-end street and has a few abandoned houses on it. Now that I think of it, it’s only four other houses at the beginning of the street people actually live in, which makes it the perfect spot.
How these fools got robbed, knowing anyone who works in it is armed, is beyond me. Where the hell were their guns? What were they doing to get caught slipping? All the thoughts running through my head didn’t do anything but aggravate me.
POW! I shot the first person I saw. It didn’t matter if he had anything to do with it or not. I walked around back where it was dark and noticed at least ten people standing there looking scared to death.
None of them knew who I was because I’m never around; yet, they knew the individual running this only comes around if necessary. Therefore; when Reg said, what up boss and I asked what happened and who’s responsible, the cries, the pleading and begging began. Reg is the last person before me so it’s self-explanatory.
“Morris got arrested and told the cops everything. He showed up with two other people and they robbed the place.” Bran told me. He’s under Reg.
“Ok. Where’s my shit?”
“Somehow Morris got away with it but these two didn’t.” I walked over to the two guys.
“Who are they?”
“Undercover cops.” Reg said.
“Oh word?” I was shocked because I’ve never had law enforcement in my business.
