Maybe later, a minute or so, the photographer would have said, “That’s it! I got it!” Although he wouldn’t really know until much later.
One man stood to the side of the gathering in the photo, appearing oddly current. Present. Aware. Familiar, even.
Maybe he was a relative? No.
Attractive, though. His gray eyes were piercing.
She held an old magnifying glass over the photo and specifically over this man.
Quickly, she stood tall, a shiver of cold dancing across her back.
Sifting through the stack of recent newspaper articles on Alcott Manor, she found the one she wanted and placed it to the side of the photo.
“Photographer Last Seen at Site of Alcott Manor Restoration,” the headline read. She moved the magnifying glass from right to left and back again. What she saw was uncanny and frankly, downright impossible.
The man in the photo and the man in the newspaper article were undeniably the same.
