As many of you know, apart from writing, I am also half of an alt-pop duo, DarienMae. This year has been big for us performing regularly, releasing a lot of new music, and doing collab’s with other local artists. We have been fortunate enough to have quite a lot of success on Spotify with many of our songs. This has been my focus for much of the year.
But writing is always going to be in the background, just waiting for me to pick it back up again. In all actuality, I had every intention on releasing 2-3 books this year, but life just got in the way.
Never Trust a Bad Boy was the hardest book I think I’ve ever had to write. I think I began writing it three different times only to start again at ground zero when I wasn’t feeling connected to it. Getting inside Bo’s and Mikhaela’s heads was a lot tougher than normal. Their voices weren’t as loud or distracting as I would have hoped.
But their story needed to be told, and I’m happy it was. Thank you for taking a chance on another novel by me. You have no idea how much I appreciate it.
Thank you for not forgetting about me. For those of you who always jump at the chance to help a girl out with cover reveals, beta reads, and more, you guys are the reason I keep doing this.
