Breaking Beauty (Twisted Tales, #1) Page 11

by Teresa Mummert

Warmth spread throughout my belly from his words. “Okay. Thanks.”

He nodded once before walking past me. “I have to go get ready. I have some things I need to handle today.”

“Okay,” I said again, unable to form a coherent sentence. “Mason, wait.”

He stopped only inches from me, and I tucked my hair behind my ear, not sure exactly what I wanted to say.

“I appreciate that you are wanting to be there for me, but you can’t expect me not to want to do the same for you.”

“It’s too early to do this again,” He shook his head, running his hand roughly against his jaw. My eyes drifted lower to his naked torso, momentarily distracting me.

“I don’t want to fight. I just wanted to say that... and thank you.”

“You’re welcome,” he replied with a smile before heading upstairs to shower and get ready for the day.

I went back to my room to do the same, feeling slightly better after standing in the steamy water until it began to run cold. A knock at the bathroom door startled me, and I grabbed a towel before pulling it open a crack to see an angry Mason on the other side.

“What?” I asked as he pressed his large palm against the wood and slowly opened it further. That’s when I noticed the water dripping off his body, and the only thing he was wearing was a gray towel wrapped low on his hips, giving me a perfect view of those delicious V-shaped muscled that disappeared below the fabric.

He took a large step toward me, causing me to take one back. Then another until my bare bottom was pressed against the cold tile wall. I clutched my towel to my chest as I looked up at him, a shiver running through me from the sudden temperature difference.

“You used every ounce of hot water,” he growled.

“Oh,” I shook my head, causing my wet hair to cling to my cheek. He reached up and gently brushed it back, tucking it behind my ear. As it began to fall, he made sure it brushed against my breast. Even through the towel, my body responded, warming from his touch. “I’m sorry,” I muttered. His mouth was dangerously close to mine, and I wanted to push to my toes and kiss him. His hand dipped lower, skimming over my exposed hip. I shuddered, my eyes closing as his lips went to the shell of my ear.

  “I’m sorry,” I sighed.

“I don’t believe you,” he replied, his voice low. “I’m beginning to think you like torturing me on purpose.”

His words felt like his touch, rough, and experienced. He knew just what to say to elicit the response he wanted. “I didn’t... I don’t,” I stammered.

His gaze dropped, roaming over my towel-covered chest that was now rising and falling rapidly before he leaned back in to whisper in my ear. “Do you touch yourself, ‘Belle?”

  “What?”

“Do you touch yourself?” His fingers ran over my thigh.

  “I don’t...”

  “You don’t?”

  “I don’t know.”

He chuckled lightly, enjoying that he had made me flustered.

“Do you?” I asked, not thinking.

“Of course I do, ‘Belle. In the shower,” his tone changed to agitated.

“Oh. I’m so sorry, Mason. I didn’t mean –” A giggle erupted from me, and his face turned hard.

“You think that’s funny? You like the idea of me getting all hot and bothered and not being able to finish before spending my day around a bunch of naked women?” He asked, his eyebrow cocked. Jealousy boiled through my veins, and my laughter died in my throat.

  “No.”

He smiled a wickedly sexy grin. “Then what are you going to do about it?”

  SEVENTEEN

“WHAT?” THE WORD STUCK in my throat, and I was pretty sure my eyes had bulged out of my head.

“You want to be there for me too?” He asked in a mocking tone. “Go stand in front of the mirror.” He stood up straight, and I eyed him for a moment.

  “Are you messing with me?”

He shook his head slowly, his eyes narrowed. “Do it. Now. Like a good girl.” There was no hint of amusement in his tone as he rasped the words good girl, and it made my spine tingle.

I slipped out from beneath him and walked to the sink, nerves causing my body to shake. He grabbed hold of my towel that I still had pressed against my chest and tugged lightly. “Drop the towel. Put your hands on the counter.”

He tugged again, and I let it fall between my fingers to the ground below. Even in the fogged mirror, I could see his smirk over my shoulder.

“Spread your legs for me, Beauty,” he rasped, his foot bumping the inside of mine.

“But,” I let go of the sink, and he put his palm against my back.

“Don’t worry. I’m not going to fuck you.” He pressed his lips to my shoulder. “Relax,” he whispered.

A pang of pleasure snaked its way through my belly and pulsed between my legs. I placed my hands on the edge of the sink again, gripping it tightly. His towel fell to the ground behind me, and his chest was against my back, his thick length laid heavy against my bottom.

“You’re so beautiful.” His fingers slipped under my chin, and he raised it, forcing me to look at us in the mirror. “Don’t be ashamed of your body.” He rocked his hips forward, his considerable length sliding against my backside. His hand snaked around our bodies and slipped between my thighs.

“You’re so fucking wet for me. Does that feel good?”

I pressed my teeth into my bottom lip and nodded my head.

  “Tell me.”

My eyes met his refection, and I watched as the roped muscles in his arm, flexed under his skin, and he continued to rub his fingers over me.

“Tell me you want me to keep touching your sweet little cunt, Beauty.”

“Don’t stop.” My grip tightened and released the edge of the sink in rhythm to his touch.

He took his other hand and gripped himself before guiding his cock between my legs. I gasped as I felt him slide against my entrance. “I haven’t been able to stop thinking about being inside of you,” he groaned, eliciting a similar sound from me.

“Then do it.” My own words shocked me. I wasn’t used to talking that way, but when he spoke to me, I wanted nothing more than to give him what he wanted. He smiled but shook his head.

“You want me to make love to you,” his words were almost teasing, and I felt my cheeks flush as he stared at me through the mirror.

“What is it you want from me?”

“Everything.” That one word made me gasp, and my knees threatened to buckle, but somewhere inside of me, my body wanted to give him just that. Everything.

“I don’t understand. You keep telling me you don’t want me –”

“I never said I didn’t want you,” he snapped. He shook his head before his eyes were back on mine. “I want you in ways you’ve never even imagined.”

I moaned, my back bowing and pressing against him. “Then show me,” I panted. “Show me what you like.”

The corner of his mouth twisted up, and a deep dimple settled in his cheek. “I don’t think you know what you’re saying.”

  “I’m not a little girl.”

“Yes, you are.” He pressed his hot lips against my neck, his tongue skimming my flesh. “You’re my little girl. Now get on your knees and apologize to daddy for what you’ve done.”

I turned to face him; my entire body felt like it was vibrating with fear and excitement. Without thinking, I pushed up on my toes and pressed my lips against his.

“What was that for?” He pulled back from me; his eyebrows knitted like I’d caught him completely off guard.

“I just thought we should kiss before I... you know.”

He sighed, his shoulders sagging. I felt like an idiot.

“I’m sorry,” I shook my head, causing my wet hair to cling to the top of my breasts. I wrapped my arms around my waist to try to hide myself.

“You don’t listen very well. I told you to do something. Go lay on your bed.”

  “W-what?”r />
  “You heard me.”

I slid out of the bathroom and sat on the edge of my bed, feet dangling over the edge. Mason followed behind me, and I couldn’t help but take in the massive length of him. Seeing it now, so close and hard for me, made me nervous. He looked like he was sculpted from granite and painted with ink and quill.

He shook his head. “I said, lay on the bed. I’m beginning to think you don’t listen to me on purpose. Do you want me to punish you?”

I scrambled backward and laid down on top of my comforter with my knees pressed together. He climbed over me, his hand going between my knees and forcing them apart, his eyes drifting down over my sex. “Spread your legs wider.” I hesitated, and he looked up at me before his tone softened. “Spread your legs for me, Beauty, so I can look at your little pink pussy.” He rubbed his palm down my inner thigh, and I let my legs fall open for him. His mouth pressed against the inside of my knee, and I sucked in a ragged breath as he moved his mouth up to my inner thigh.

I fisted my hands in the blanket beside me as he slowly made his way closer to my center. His fingers slid against my damp flesh, and I let out a sigh.

“So ready,” he whispered, his warm breath blowing over me and causing me to shiver. His tongue ran up my slit. “So sweet.” His fingers moved over me again before spreading me open. His tongue rolled over my clit, and I had to force myself to lay still as his beard scratched against my folds. “Tell me what you want me to do to you,” he said as his finger pressed inside of me.

“This,” I panted. “Anything.” The bed moved, and I knew that had made him laugh.

“Don’t say things like that to me, Beauty.”

  “Why?”

“You don’t know what you’re asking.”

My skin felt hot again. I hated how he laughed at me like I was too naïve to know what he wanted. “I know what I want. I want you.”

A second finger slid inside of me as he smirked, and I groaned as my body stretched to fit around him. “That what you want? You want me to fill you?” he asked, but the question felt so dirty I didn’t even know how to respond. Thankfully, his mouth was on me again, and the pleasure from that alone rendered me speechless. My back arched and I let my eyes fall closed as I enjoyed what he was doing to me.

He slowed his pace, moaning against my mound. Soon my hips rocked in rhythm with his hand, and any reservations I’d had disappeared as I worked toward my release. The more my body bucked, the more Mason seemed to enjoy what he was doing to me.

“Does that feel good, Beauty? You like it when I fuck you with my mouth?”

“Yes,” I panted. My fingers were clutching and releasing the blanket as my body began to tense. “Oh...”

In an instant, his fingers stilled, and his mouth pressed against my inner thigh.

“What are you doing?” I asked, struggling to steady my breathing. “I’m so close.”

“I know.” He pulled his fingers from me and pushed off the bed, retreating to the bathroom. He came back out a second later with his towel wrapped around his waist to hide his rock hard cock. I pushed up on my elbows, just watching him as he walked around my bed toward the door.

“What are you doing? I didn’t get to finish.”

“Now we’re even.” He walked out of my room without a backward glance, and I wanted to scream at him.

A few minutes later, I heard his motorcycle roar to life outside before the sound faded away.

“Asshole,” I yelled as I fell back on the bed.

I shouldn’t be torturing Belle just because I’m pissed off at her, but honestly, I couldn’t go another minute without touching her. It was a mistake. Not because I’d left her unsatisfied, but because I’d have to spend the rest of the day with her taste on my lips and not be able to do anything about it.

I needed to stay focused. I had a fight coming, in more ways than one. Last time I let someone get under my skin, I ended up killing someone else in the octagon.

I vowed from that day I’d never let a woman get that close to me again. But I’d never seen Beauty coming.

I slipped into the club and into the back room that was currently empty of girls. I sank down at the metal desk, kicking my legs out under it as I grabbed my cell phone and called the one person I knew that could help me make all of this right – Dalton West.

  EIGHTEEN

I COULD HEAR MASON calling my name from inside of the house. I ignored him, my eyes closed as I let the sun heat my skin. It felt so good to enjoy the warm day. I heard the back screen door squeak on its hinges before slamming shut.

“What are you doing?” Mason asked as I heard his boots stomp down the porch steps.

“What does it look like?” I asked, not bothering to look at him.

“It looks like you’re wearing that little yellow bikini I like.”

“Just the bottoms,” I teased, struggling not to look like I was nervous.

“You might want to put your top on, Beauty. We have company.”

My eyes snapped open, and my arms flew over my chest as I sat up.

Mason was laughing as he walked over to me, bending down to grab my top and holding it out to me. I went to take it, and he pulled back fractionally.

“You do this for me, Beauty? You trying to get back at me for what happened this morning?” He smiled, and I struggled not to blush.

“Not everything is about you, Mason.” I reached out and snatched the top from his hand.

“Sure, it is.” He laughed as he pushed to his feet and turned back to the house. “Come inside. I have someone I want you to meet. Put some clothes on first.” He walked away, and I scrambled to get my top back on.

I slipped inside, listening for a moment to ensure the voices were coming from one of the front rooms so I could sneak upstairs and put on some clothing.

A few minutes later, I slinked downstairs and into the formal living room. Mason was talking to a man whose back was to me, and they both stopped speaking when I stepped in the room. I waved awkwardly. “Hello.”

The man turned around, smiling as he pushed from his seat to stand before me. I shuffled from one foot to the other nervously as he held out his hand. I took it, shaking it once before letting my arm fall to my side.

“My name’s Annabelle. Nice to meet you.”

He smiled over his shoulder at Mason before turning his attention back to me. “Dalton West. Pleasure.” His navy suit was tailored to fit his body perfectly. He didn’t look like the kind of guy Mason would hang around, but I never met anyone he knew outside of the club.

“Care to join us?” he asked, and I looked to Mason, finding it odd his friend was inviting me and not him. He nodded once, and I looked back to Dalton.

  “Sure.”

I sank down on the couch next to Mason and listened to them drone on for nearly an hour about things I didn’t understand. Occasionally I would be brought into the conversation, but I didn’t have much to add. I even signed a few papers as I witness so that Mason could purchase some land in town for another club. I was half ready to fall asleep when Mason placed his hand on my knee. “Would you mind getting me a glass of water?”

“Sure.” I looked at Dalton, who shook his head. I gave him a polite smile before hurrying to the kitchen. I grabbed a bottle from the fridge but stopped short outside of the living room when I heard Mason say, “She won’t be here long.”

My stomach twisted, but I forced a smile as I reentered. I held out the bottle and Mason looked at Dalton, they exchanged something silently that I couldn’t decipher before he took the water and thanked me.

“I should be going,” Dalton said with a groan as he pushed to his feet.

“It was nice meeting you,” I called out, and he gave me a polite smile as both men walked toward the door. They spoke quietly for a brief moment before Mason walked into the kitchen, and I followed after him. He slipped the bottle of water back into the fridge, and I made a face when he turned around.

  “Sorry about that. I did
n’t know he’d be coming by today.”

I shrugged. “It’s not my place. Change your mind about the water?”

He smiled now at some inside joke that I wasn’t privy to. “Are you hungry?” he asked, ignoring my question.

  “No.”

“Still mad at me?” he asked, eyebrow raised.

“Mason, what was all of that about?”

“Nothing,” he shook his head, a smile playing on his lips. “I just... won a bet.”

“A bet,” I repeated, wanting to press him further, but I knew he wasn’t going to tell me anything.

“You want to go put that bikini back on?” He asked, walking toward me. I put my hand up and pressed it against his chest as he got close. “Not a chance.”

  “So, you are still mad.”

I shrugged as I pushed around him. “Why do you care, I won’t be here long anyway,” I snapped as I pulled open the fridge. I heard him groan from behind me, and when I glanced over my shoulder, all humor had left his expression.

  “Beauty –”

  “Don’t. It doesn’t matter.”

  “You don’t understand.”

“Maybe I don’t, but I don’t care either. I’ll call Cadence and see if I can stay with her for a few days before I head back to Bloomington.”

“You’re serious? You want to go back there?”

I shrugged, pretending to act indifferent. “Why not?”

“And you want to stay with Cadence... and your ex?”

  “What do you care?”

He thought it over for a moment before shaking his head. “You’re not my prisoner, Annabelle. I can’t stop you.”

My stomach sank. I wanted him to fight for me.

“I have things I need to do. It’s amateur night.”

“I’m sure you do,” I said, rolling my eyes.

“What the hell does that mean?”

“It means,” I sighed, shaking my head. “I don’t care.”

“Good.” He stormed toward the front door and slammed it behind him as he left. I sank down on the kitchen floor and let sobs rack my body.
